i have this guy friend who me and him want to be sex partners and still be the best of friends were like best friends but he might be going out with this girl i dont mind i just dont wanna have sex with him if he goes with this certain girl who me and the girl have been in a bad argument already over him. but i dont like him its just i like the attention from him and i dont know if he goes with the girl should i stop talkin to him or should i not care cuz in the end we still best friends.

i am VERY short, so whenever i buy jeans, i cut them to fit my length (instead of hemming them), cause i dont care about the little freys at the bottom. But yesterday i bought corduroy pants that are of course too long, if i cut them, would that ruin them?

It is usually less then $10 to have a pair of pants hemed. I think your corduroy pants would start to get ragady if you cut them.

My school doesn't do work experience but I need to do a two week work experience placement to get onto the childcare course I would like to study. So, I'm trying to organise it myself and writing letters to all the nurseries in my area asking if they can help me.

My questions are:
*Do you think they would prefer handwritten or typed letters? (My handwriting is neat)
*What goes after 'yours' when you don't know the name of the person you are writing to?
*I am studying for 21 GCSEs. Do you think I should mention this or would it make me sound like I'm showing off?
*Should I mention any of my GCSEs? For example, I know that I have to gain good qualifications in English to be a Nursery Nurse, so should I mention that I'm studying English?

Oh, and I've been to Connexions, if anyone was going to suggest them to me, and they were absolutely useless, so I'm doing this myself.

I recommend you get a book about writting cover letters and resumes. I found mine extreamly helpful when applying for jobs. And that is basically what you are doing, applying for a job.

*First of all, ALWAYS type out a bussiness letter.
*For "Yours" - "Thank you for your time." Nothing to personal.
*Yes! Mention your skills and goals. The goal of a cover letter is to "show off" and tell them why they need you.
*Your qualifications should be listed in a resume you send with the letter.

Near my armpit, I have a bump. Its about 1/2in by 1/2in. It looks like a buise but it, i dont know how to put this, its like, elevated. i have know idea what it is or how i got it. I've had it for about 4 months. The first month, when i squeezed it, a puss like fluid came out. But not anymore. It juts hurts when i touch it. Does anyone have any idea's on what it is?

It's a cist. My mom and sister get them all the time. It should eventually drain (like you said puss came out). However if it has been 4 months, I would see a doctor, my mother had to have one surgical removed.

well im really trying to lose weight and my friend told me to run a mile 5 days a week then next week run 2 miles and so on if i did that up to 10 miles how long would it take me to lose about 45 pounds?

Well there is much more to losing weight then just running. I would say your eating habits effect your weight more than anything. But while on an effective diet and exercise schedule, a healthy amount of weight to loose is about 2 pounds a week. So it will take you at least 6 months to loose 45 pounds. But that's only if you are extremely discipled. Realistically I think it will take you a year or more.

I've been on advicenators for about 3 months now, and when I first started, my feedback rating would show up. you know like 4.79 or something. But now its not showing up. Is there an option i must select somewhere to make it show?

Ratings only count for 30 days, and you need at least 5 current ratings for an average rating.

i babysit this 11 yr old boy, max and i am 13/f he is taller than me and is quite mature for his age. the thing is latley he's been acting really strange. he asked me if i had my period yet and i tried to change the subject but he was persistant. oh, and the other night we were watching a movie at his house (lion king) and he is younger than me so he like layed down on me and pretended to be asleep. then i fell asleep too. when i woke up he was like all over me and touching my boobs. i dont know what to do. his parents pay well and i need the money badly. should i tell his parents, will they hire me agian? should i talk to him? HELP!

You should have never put yourself in that situation in the first place. You were suppose to be the responsible one. Letting a 11 year old boy fall asleep on you is by no means appropriate. And falling asleep on the job is not appropriate either. Leaving a 13 year old girl, and an 11 year old boy alone just sounds like a bad idea. I would no longer babysit for them, no matter how well they pay. I don't beleive you are mature enough to handel the situation.

my boyfriend has REALLY bad breath. hes such a clean guy but he like breathes with his mouth open and its digusting. even when he chews gum i still smell it. and when were cuddling i just about die. and when he wants to kiss me it smells like dog poo and makes me smell..i cant tell him that will be totally mean...what can i do?

Honestly you should tell him. He might be a little embarassed, but will be gald you were honest with him and saved him further embarassement. Wouldn't you want someone to let you know if you had bad breath? I would.

Like I said, if the microphone is built into the computer, it will just be a small little hole, usually at the top of the monitor. As USB cord is pretty standard for connecting hardware(printers, scanners, cammeras) to your computer. It's rectangular in shape and usually says USB right on it. You plug it into the back of the computer, the hole is known as the USB port.

Many new computers have a microphone built into the top of the screen (it's just a little hole). That may be why you can't find the hole plug, because there is no need for one.

how do i get pictures on a digital camera on the computer...i know by a cord thing but where do i plug it in? thanks!

It is most likely a USB plug. So look for that first. All you really have to do though is look at the back of your computer and see what hole the plug fits into.

I have a friend.. lets call her... loogie. Well loogie and I have been best friends for 3 years. I love her to death! (as a friend.. duh) but she is just kinda annoying!! I mean my friend and me had plans to go to the movies. Well the night before I asked loogie to spend the night. I called the person I was going to the movies with to make sure it was still happening or whatever.. MY FRIEND GOT SO MAD AT ME!! because she wasnt invited. I mean I cant spend all my time with her! Shes not my ONLY friend!! What do I do to tell her I have other friends and she doesnt have a hold on me?

Just be straight forward, but don't be defensive. Tell her you weren't purposely trying to leave her out, and you don't think less as her as a friend. You just have other friends you like to spend time with as well. Explaine that you wanted some one on one time with that person.

There is no proof that popping your knuckles is bad for you. So you shouldn't worry about hurting your hands. It's just not a very attractive habbit. Think about it when you are around other people, and try to stop yourself then. Also try finding something to keep your hands busy with like a little toy or rubberband.

Me and my friends want to see The Ring 2. Well, originally I told my friend Lauren that her, Sarah and I could go. Recently Sarah and I have been hanging out a lot, with another girl, Krystal. I don't know who I want to go with. I would just invite both, but it's not that easy. Lauren is your typical preppy, VERY girly girl. Krystal is more like goth. As much as I hate labels, that's basically the only way to put it. Sometimes I wonder how Lauren and I get along.

Honestly, I'd rather go with Sarah and Krystal. But I just don't know what to say to Lauren, because I think she really wants to go with us. But Sarah and I both kinda get annoyed with her sometimes.

You should all go together, you know you get along with all of them, it up to them to get along with each other. If you can't get them to agree, you should go with who you originaly invited. That is what a good friend would do.

im 23 and have had pretty bad teeth for a while . pretty large gap aand they stick out, apart from that I am really happy with my looks, but it is getting worse and worse as the days go by , not smling etc , should I confront my fear at 23??? what other options do I have?

Your right, the longer you wait to do something about your teeth, the worse they will get. And surgery will become more evasive and painful. Be brave and get it over with!

Hopefuly you have dental insuance. I need my wisdom teeth out, but waited out of fear, and now I don't have insurance, and they continue to get worse.

Inviting a entire class is too much for your parnets to be responsible for, even if they paid for themselvels. Invite the girls you had planned to, and if anyone ask, tell them you could only invite so many people.

My roommate is prone to cold sores. She is afraid to go to a tanning bed because they have triggered a cold sore for her in the past. But, we are planning a trip to Florida in May, and we want to get a tan before going there. Since we live in northern US, the only way to get a tan right now would be to go to a tanning salon.

She is saying that she won't go, and instead will go to Florida pale. I do not want that to happen because she will end up getting majorly sunburned the first day and will end up having a horrible time. I want her to have fun so I can have my fun roommate to hang out with, instead of my miserable cranky roommate to bum me out.

Can anyone explain to me some "safe" ways to get a tan without burning or triggering a cold sore. Or, does anyone know of any products that will help prevent cold sores. If you are prone to getting them, and have experience with things that have helped you, that would be very helpful.

I live in Minnesota, and frequently visit Florida. I have never once been to a tanning salon. What your friend needs is a good sun block. I recommend a SPF 30 spray lotion. It works great, I never get burned (even in Mexico). And I still manage to come home tan.
