i am VERY short, so whenever i buy jeans, i cut them to fit my length (instead of hemming them), cause i dont care about the little freys at the bottom. But yesterday i bought corduroy pants that are of course too long, if i cut them, would that ruin them?
jbdreamer answered Friday April 1 2005, 12:17 pm: It is usually less then $10 to have a pair of pants hemed. I think your corduroy pants would start to get ragady if you cut them. [ jbdreamer's advice column | Ask jbdreamer A Question ]

I had a jacket come apart after an accidental tear, once it starts you can't stop it, if I recall correctly. It was years ago, I was a kid and it was the 70s, when cords were in last time. ;-)
