corduroy

Question Posted Friday April 1 2005, 11:49 am

i am VERY short, so whenever i buy jeans, i cut them to fit my length (instead of hemming them), cause i dont care about the little freys at the bottom. But yesterday i bought corduroy pants that are of course too long, if i cut them, would that ruin them?

Definetly try hemming them. And idk if it would be your size but try getting some pants from 5.7.9 they make pants for very little people... lol but its a juniors store. That, or buy from kids stores ( I know what a drag) but Abercrombie kids make some nice jeans.

You should probably hem them instead. Corduroy is different than denim, and you never know what's going to happen.

It is usually less then $10 to have a pair of pants hemed. I think your corduroy pants would start to get ragady if you cut them.

If it is within your power to hem them, I would advise it. Cords aren't denim and the way the fabric comes apart is not flattering at all. I had a jacket come apart after an accidental tear, once it starts you can't stop it, if I recall correctly. It was years ago, I was a kid and it was the 70s, when cords were in last time. ;-)

No, i dont think it will ruin the pants but it might be hard to cut evenly since corduroy is sucha thick fabric ♥ rache
