Question Posted Friday March 25 2005, 1:50 pm

hey! I wrote the question "I just got a new Gateway lap top that I'm on right now. I can't find the place where you plug in the microphone so you can talk on AIM and use the sound recorder. Can anyone please help me?"

Thanks for answering my question! Could you help me a little more though? You said that there was a microphone already built into my computer. Where would it be? Also, what is a USB cord and USB port?

Thanks!

Like I said, if the microphone is built into the computer, it will just be a small little hole, usually at the top of the monitor. As USB cord is pretty standard for connecting hardware(printers, scanners, cammeras) to your computer. It's rectangular in shape and usually says USB right on it. You plug it into the back of the computer, the hole is known as the USB port.
