Life is an adventure but Life doesn't come with user manuals for everything. School subjects do little to prepare us. Its no wonder we all need helpful advice sometimes. Blessings to you!

I have used a color stick on my hair to cover gray for years, It is made by Roux, now when I go to color my hair the hair I have used the color stick won't take the color very well, it washes out in a few days. what do I do?
I can't say whether a color stick is the reason or not. I did look up Roux hair care products online. Their color stick is meant to be used 'tween time' as they advertise. This means, the intention of this product is only to take care of covering up roots for a short time and you reapply until its a safe time to do an entire hair coloring with dye again. Some peoples hair grows out faster than others and it is too soon to recolor the hair without frying it or harming in some way.
If I were you, I'd look for a phone number for Roux and call them to confirm this, that its meant only as a temporary cover up and thats why it doesnt last. Even if it worked better in the past, its still likely not made to last long.
Another thing you could do is walk into a beauty shop and ask the hairdressers there what they know about the product if anything. Not all, but many can have lots of knowledge of the various hair care products out there with their plusses and minuses, and likely have a preferred product line of their own they are familiar with. It cant hurt. I know when I colored my hair when younger and I finally started asking questions over issues, I actually learned something about hair coloring do's and don'ts and why some things work and some don't.
good luck.
There is this guy which i be liked for four years. He has said that he likes me back but I don't get it because he keeps dating other girls. He says he loves me. He said it again the day my friend and him just broke up! I tell him to stop talking I said that if he loved me why would he go out with other people! Is he just playing with me? I'm I his 'get back girl'(The girl he comes back to when he's not dating)? He hasn't actually asked me out he says stuff like "if I asked you out would you say yes?" But I would say "are you asking me out?" He would say kind of that he doesn't know.
I dont know your ages so I'll have to wing it.
Very young teens are inexperienced and not prone to commiting for long to any one person. No one really should commit to being bf/gf or being in a long term relationship until they are pretty sure about the person and have gotten to know them well enough to know you like them beyond an attraction by looks. So how do you get to know someone well enough to decide they are the only one you want to date? You need to hang out with them a lot and date but only for info gathering purposes at first. Dating does not necessarily mean a guy is committing only to you or you to him. this is why so many teen relationships break up. they commit first and make promises, then in a few dates, few months or just a couple months, its over cus one or both discovered enough things about the other that they didn't really like. We tend to want to have a few things in common, a meeting of minds, some personality stuff in common like both being extroverts. If one is an introvert and barely ever talks, it wont last for long.
All this said, you need to discover if he is attracted to you, and what is he attracted to. Looks? How about your smile, laugh or sense of humor, how you act, confident, self assured, always happy and outgoing? These are surface level things but all good reasons. However it cannot predict whether either of you will still be interested in each other after learning more about each other. The best way to learn tho is spending time together.
Now even if college age, few have figured this commited dating vs info gathering dating out yet.
It is I believe a big reason why guys are afraid to admit they like or are attracted to a girl because they fear she will expect instant commitment. Guys tend to want to date around, several gals until the day they finally meet one girl who stands out above and beyond all others to him. He is so captivated and wanting to learn more about her that he instantly stops seeing the other girls, He is making a decision to focus only on the one. She make believe he is committed totally to her at this stage but he has only just finally found someone who instead of just dating socially for a companion, he has found someone he really wants to get to know everything about because he's really feeling a strong drawing to her and wanting to know everything about her. this stage shouldn't take too long dependig on how often you talk and or meet. It can be just a handful of months and he's sure he wants to finally make a long term commitment to being bf/gf. So you might want to have a good talk with him. Tell him what you are looking for. You want someone your first attracted to visually and for the few things you can see and know without spending time with him. You let him know you feel that level of interest in him so far and ask if he has the same in return. Make it clear you aren't asking for a commitment yet and you will also be checking out other guys. But if once you know him better you decide he's the guy you want, you'll let him know. then either he feels the same and then makes a commitment to date only you, or lets you know he's not interested anymore and then he breaks it off and leaves you.
So far both of you are talking 'around' the subject but neither really saying anything that would reassure or encourage each other to take the next step of spending time getting to know each other. During this period, its fine to cuddle and kiss and hold hands, but I would caution to not become involved sexually until the both of you are at the point of committing in some way to be only with the other. Otherwise, theres a chance he will be having sex with any girl who is willing or foolish enough to not wait for a commitment. Even at this level, there's always a chance things may not work out later, but at least for the time being, there's mutual caring, feelings, love. This may not be a life long commitment like marriage so theres alwas a chnace of having a broken heart thats harder to overcome once intimate sexually. thats why I caution waiting a bit. No problem with sex before marriage. Just decide what it is you want in a guy before doing the exploring dating. You just may be breaking up with a few of your own choice before you really find one worth keeping.
Our relationship is till 1yr and its a long distance relationship in school age and i want to continue my relation .... can school life relationship may continue easily ?
I think long distance friendships are fine if just for the sake of having a modern version of a penpal, just on friendship basis. Its very hard to expect anymore more like a real dating relationship between boy and girl. And in case you're wondering, it doesn't matter the age, whether young teen or older adult.
I am an older person but I've delved right in to use of a computer when they came along, switching to cell phones and using the internet. In fact i did on line dating to find my 2nd husband. So I do understand how easy it is for my mind to fill in what I think the person is like by how I interpret any info and input from them and found I was quite wrong on plenty occasions. this wasn't guys I talked to for a year. It was people I wrote to for a week tops and since I was looking for someone to meet in the general area I lived and worked in, we also talked by phone. Even that didn't help. It wasn't until I was face to face with a person that I could really figure out who they were and if there really was any chemistry between us sexually. A photo, or Skype isn't the same thing. There's something we all emit called pheremones and its what attracts certain people to others, usually the pheremones have to match somewhat. You can't pick up on pheremones via the web. guys I thought were cute, but in person, it fell flat, neither was attracted to the other, or the kiss goodnight was yucky, not a romantic kiss...it felt like a brother trying to kiss me romantically..,yuck.
Another thing one can't have via the LDR, long distance relationship, is the experiences of dating, going places, sharing hobbies together, cuddling or hugging, all that is missing. Also, trust can't develop in LDRs because when you're not there, theres no way to know at first if a person can be trusted. Promising to remain true to each other is very hard, especially for teens who haven't really done any dating yet.
When an equally nice looking person comes along in person who wants to date you, its going to be hard to not want to do so. theres more pay off and more learning experience in person. So its easier for a person to break their promise and cheat by having a bf/gf on the side or totally lose interest in each other. If you understand the limitations and are okay with that, then enjoy it for as long as it lasts. As to how long it might last, there really is no way to tell.
Or that I absorbed testosterone through a vanishing twin? How would I know for sure? I don't understand why I'd have excess testosterone exposure in the womb. What causes that, my mom's diet, stress, exercise, etc when I was in the womb? Despite my digit ratio being lower than many guys' I still feel feminine. I've always liked dressing up, and would rather go to class or the grocery store in a dress than sweats. I'm heterosexual, too, and not promiscuous at all. I want to wait til marriage, if I'm fortunate enough to find the right guy who fashions me the right girl. What made me concerned is how hairy I am. I've been hairy since around the time I got my period, at age 10. It's annoying to have to shave all the time. I also had early puberty and have had very painful periods ever since. I wonder if it's all related, or if I'm mentioning very separate things. Anyways I've just been reading about girls with lower digit ratios being less attractive, and it's like.. Ouch, lol. My face looks symmetrical to me, and as I've been losing weight, due to eating healthier, I'm finally getting a more curvy waist, than the boxiness I had before. My waist had always been smaller than my thigh and butt circumference, though. I'm also pretty terrible at sports, though I enjoy them recreationally, so a low digit ratio didn't help me there. The next thing that confuses me is the whole alpha man thing. That high digit, "more feminine" girls love low digit, "more masculine" guys. As if that's the only basis of beauty. They never talk about the other perspective. I'm the sort of girl that doesn't get what girls find attractive about Channing Tatum but swoons to Cillian Murphy. Is Channing Tatum more of a guy just because he's ripped? That's ridiculous to me. Is the whole digit ratio thing BS or why do I find so many inconsistencies? The only thing I find relation to is that I tend to be really hairy, but I'm in the process of correcting that through cutting out animal products and byproducts, exercising more, and of course, bi-weekly or once a month shaving of essentially my entire body
I looked up digit ration on wikipedia. Its a subject that doesnt interest me particularly. It might have a little bearing, some input into how a person turns out to be as a person but so do so many other things. I've read the name we're given can influence our behavior for example, where we fall in line with siblings, our sun and moon signs and all that, etc.... Eye color is supposed to affect people some way supposedly the same as hair color. We could dissect ourselves and it still wouldn't change what we look like, any tendencies and our personality.
I haven't come across very many hairy females in my life. I am female and have met a few tho and other than their having really hairy arms legs and torso, they seemed to be very feminine. One I know of was dating after her divorce and she had all sorts of guys interested in her. Apparently the body hair was not a turn off for them. She had a creative personality, was intelligent and interesting as a person.
My only concerns when it comes to testosterone amounts or estrogen amounts in people is that it can if way off, cause medical/sexual related problems. If a girls estrogen is too high for example, due to puberty and what we take in from our environment, she can become depressed, suicidal, undergo a total character change, have out of control anger problems. guys with too low testosterone may have troubles sexually with either being interested in sex at all, lack of desire at times or just not getting hard. thats at least one cause there. I know of someone who discovered in his 20s he was born with low testosterrone count. He had a very manly body. He was a boyfriend of mine before my 2nd husband. I wouldn't have known had he not told me. As long as he took the medicine daily, which was testosterone pills, he was fine. He also had no issues with desire or performance.
Now if you check with a doctor and your estrogen levels are correct, then I wouldn't worry.
Lots of how you look is genetic, passed down by parents or skips a generation or two, or can come from great grands and grandparents. Generally women are more fair skinned and smaller than men in stature and bone size, but that is just generally. It is not abnormal for some women to have some male traits in body looks or a male to look more effeminate.
If the body hair really is that big a deal to you, I would suggest laser hair removal. I met a guy who had it done for his face because his facial hair was prone to curl under and become ingrown and had lots of infections. Laser treatments are very common these days and work quite well. Although you will need to schedule a series of them. One or two won't be enough. Buying a package deal is way cheaper too. It can be pricy, so check around on prices. How does it feel? No more painful than waxing or plucking. So if you can stand that, this is a cinch. After 4 or 5 treatments, there will be either no hair growing back, to very little hair growing, sparsely and the hairs are much finer. The body is prone to create hairs so after maybe 3 -5 years, you'll find you want to go in to get one more upkeep treatment to get rid of any that grew in over that period. So dont worry about being any less of a girl. Your gender is female. If your mind feels you are female too, no problem there then. You will find someone who is attracted to you for the whole package, all of you, inside and out. People have quite different tastes in what they are attracted to. I've had guys bypass me and hit on women who were taller, tanner, blonde or redhead instead of brunette, or woman who carried a lot more weight than I. Everyones taste is personal. Never try to change who you are to fit someones personal taste. I was dumb and tried with my ex but I was young...it doesnt work cus if you're with the wrong person and both are really attracted to each other, then why be together. Hope this gives you some hope and you stop worrying about your looks.
Um okay... I'm 13 years old. I was on omegle and I saw this guy I liked. I was with my younger friend so I flashed him My bra and stuff... but my friend recorded me changing. So like he said... he would put me on a porn sight if I didn't pose for him nude. Scared I did it, then he wanted my friend to do it so I quit out of I. I'm so so scared.
The fact you believed his threat proves the same thing I now know of my teen years....at the age, we're all too gullible and will believe anything, we're easily scared or bullied into doing something we really don't want, we have low self image, and we're very prone to doing stupid things. Guess what...all teens suffer from these things to some degree and its all because the frontal lobe of our brain, responsible for making good decisions and judgement calls on people, is a part of brain not yet mature. It wont be until your mid 20s. So next time, I suggest you think twice before taking an action....never never do something on the spur of the moment. Stop doing impulse things. Your flashing yourself in underwear or more, was an impulse thing. You didn't take the time to think ahead of what could possibly happen. Its like trying to solve a problem before the problem happens. If you are ever not sure, find an adult you trust to bounce your ideas, thoughts or problems off of. You've written us after the fact. Now the best thing is to seek advice next time, before taking action. If you cant think of what might possibly go wrong with your plan, you can ask friends opinions, but brain development wise, they're in same boat as you. Its best talking to an adult or parents.
Realistically, no guy is going to want to go to a porn site to view a teen in their underwear. that is as much coverage as you wear on the beach and is not porn. Although, with the web, it is too easy for someone to steal any photo of yourself you place on the web, fully clothed...take your head and attach it with photoshop to a nude body to post. So there is a small amount of danger with anything we send someone via electronic means. This teen guy is just plain old horny...something many teen boys suffer from and it causes them to seek relief. Usually the last thing they'll want to try is masturbation alone. They are happier masturbating to a photo of a girl whether in playboy or something they find on the internet, or along to live camming, or porn videos. Others try for the real thing, wanting to find a way to convince a girl to have sex with them. You are at a dangerous stage and guys know its too easy to fool a girl. Either scare her into giving photos or having sex with him, or lure her into being willing by pretending he loves you and telling you he loves you. Some are willing to wait and play this game and make it very convincing. Once they got the sex, they dump you. Or they start a collection of girls so they can have one for every night.
You are going to need sound advice on a daily basis dear. Sometimes it may be as simple as, "What did that guy mean when he said....." Both Mom and Dad are the closest to you, and the fastest to reach for input. You may be embarrassed at first but push thru it and start asking for their opinion on things. Dad was once a boy and can help you better than any other guy as to what guys mean, what they might really be doing. I went often to my own Dad for clarification and found it helpful in my teen years. I even told him about guys I was crushing on. Parents were there once and should understand, unless they;re really prudes and sex topic phobic.
'
can you please explain this to where i can understand it? (im really slow)
"It’s more of an ethos—one of rebellious impulse against all manner of orthodoxy that paradoxically seeks ordered lucifer angelillumination within an individual." (talking about Luciferianism)
Sorry but I've heard nothing about Luciferianism. And I have no interest in studying it so I wouldnt know. I suppose you'd have to search the web for that
Hi.
I am at age 25 and I don't know why my life is like this. But every time I take a job, I end up being miserable and very sick.. ending up in depression is a serious problem of mine.
I am an IT that actually has no passion for it. I don't like it but I have no choice because, I graduated in this field. So, every job choices I find myself always ending up in the technical field, which I don't want and obviously I can't see myself being good at in the next 5 years.
What should I do?
I know several people who once working in a field they just got a degree in, were unhappy, so they went back to school. In the extreme, I know one person who did this like 4 times, before they finally settled on a career choice. Of course, this means a person can be doing college at a much older age than most. So what? I even know some senior citizens who went to take college for a degree simply to stay active in life and keep their minds sharp and have a goal to look forward to, other than what their funeral should be like someday.
Another gal at just before 50, got a degree in mental health counseling and is working a job in that field. In her case, her main reason for going for that degree came from having her own mental struggles and knowing others, friends or family who had issues too so she understood personally the great need for good counselors and now she's feeling very fulfilled in her job.
It going to be hard to know what you really like until you have experienced it or something close. YOu need an income to live on in the meanwhile unless independantly wealthy. So try taking some night classes, exploring anything and everything that is offered in a class. At the worst, you may discover a new hobby. At the best, it may click wit you and set you on a path to a new career.
Examples of where an evening class could lead you.
Study of another language might lead you to wanting to become an enterpretuer. taking a gymnastics class might spark an interest in pursuing something in athletic field like coaching, or perhaps, even something more health related like teaching yoga. A cooking class, may reveal a desire and talent for cooking and you work towards becoming a Chef. An art class might reveal an artistic bent and a creative mind with all sorts of ideas. You begin to create art that becomes popular. A simple income tax class may show you enjoy working with numbers and doing taxes or you might pursue accounting then. You don't know until you explore. Dont launch full in with financial commitment to another degree until you have discovered some kind of interest that will be fulfilled in a variety of professions. Once decided what that is, see if you qualify for any grants or funding, and either continue working fulltime, doing the schooling part time nights, or work part time if possible financially and do school close to full time. The goal of reaching your preferred degree and work in field of choice will help you endure the job you have for now that helps you achieve that goal.
Good luck!
I don't understand if he really loves me or not...we have been in this relationship for 4years..he refused me 3times...4th time he came begging in front me himself...our families know about us...but all is alright except his alcohol consumption n accidents...n he is not settled yet...he just keeps changing jobs n still now not established well...they don't even have their own house...live in rented houses but they expend money like water on their tour car n vagabond lifestyle....i talked to him for several times about our future life n career...as his mom kept telling me to change her son's lifestyle n consuming alcohol habits...but she herself gives him liberty to do all these...n at the end of the day she put all the blames upon me...as if I make her son bound to get hurt n influence him to do these...i talked to him over this...he promises me that he'll get sober but he makes alibi to get drunk...n now a days like his mom he also accuses me for no reason n gets drunk...n if he finds no way to blame me his aligations shift towards his mom...his mom insulted me over n over n last time she crossed all limits n involved my parents too..i couldn't control my anger n literally fought with her...n now she is like insisting her son to get married to another girl...like typical Indian arranged marriage..n she might have chosen a girl for him too..but all I want is to help my bf..he is badly influenced by his mentally sick mom..n he is going in wrong directions..he can't be happy without me though he is angry n mad at me now n wont admit it...n me also can't live without him...i want him happy n stay healthy....what should I do to help him?
You are likely right that "he is badly influenced by his mentally sick mom" Somethings not right if she is choosing to point the finger and blame for her sons choices on anyone else. I dont know how bad life is for him and how much is her influence and how much is his own choices. Just because some kids end up with shitty parents doesnt mean they need to turn out as bad or worse than their parents. I know of plenty people personally who are wonderful loving people and have seriously f#%ked up parents or vice versa... wonderful parents who raised the kids right, yet none the less, the kids are a mess. If he is 18, he's an adult and it becomes his responsibility to go seek professional help. But he has to ask for help. At the rate he's going, he doesnt sound like good relationship material. whether he feels love for you or something else, is not the issue. Would you seriously consider marrying any guy who loves you regardless of whether he was fully healthy in all ways or had mental issues or battled any vices like drugs, drinking, gambling? Some like that is unable to meet you half way in a relationship. IT takes both partners putting in equal effort to make a relationship work and its hard work. Whether its totally her influence or he has some undiagnosed mental illness of his own, you have seen him choose the easier path, caving in to Moms wishes and doing her will, right? Nothing has changed in his life, nothing grand enough to give him the clear mind, and alcohol free mind and body to make his own decisions and resist her controlling behavior. Until something happens where he ends up on a path of getting professional help, he has no reason to change, not even for you. I used to think that my love could change my husband. He was a churchgoer like me, seemed nice. But after I married, life turned into hell and i didnt leave thinking I'd go against church laws to not divorce. I stayed for 30 yrs while he got worse and worse. I have lived with mental illness in a spouse who went untreated. It resulted in me enduring daily stress due to his mental and emotional abuse of me. Yeah, it may not seem like something that could happen to you. Go ahead and try staying. I did. Over 30 yrs though, the stress instead of making me fall apart mentally, made me fall apart physically. The stress has to go somewhere, so it showed up as body rashes, migraines, stomach ulcers, etc...
I guarantee if you stay with him in hopes of being able to help him and mom, or at least him, at some point down the road, you will begin to suffer troubles yourself, whether mental, emotional or physical...it cant be escaped if you have that in your daily life. Of course, I am now older. Somehow we tend to see things more clearly as we get older and I did. I left him and am now happily remarried 6 yrs to a wonderful man and we have an equal marriage, not one of one being the weak and troubled and one being the strong one.
I had that with the ex. It doesn't work. I was always the strong one, I had to be cus he couldn't handle the unexpected challenges life sometimes brings, he'd get very upset and angry and throw a fit if for example someone broke a window in our car just for the fun of it. Adults have to handle getting it fixed. He couldn't, he just freaked out. So I had to raise 3 kids, and basically he was the 4th child in an adult body and as an adult, fought me tooth and nail on everthing. He could spend freely. I couldn't even buy 2nd hand clothing for the new school year without enduring his wrath? When a person is either under the influence of alcohol or due to mental illness, you can't count on them being able to make an rational thoughts or decisions and I surely know that from experience. My christian faith and belief that My love or my trust in God would heal him was nuts. At one point God finally got through to me saying that he gave everyone a free will to choose they own way and path and he won't take away ones will only for those going down the wrong path. Either all get a free will or all don't. At this point in life, at age 50 if my husband wasn't going to go for professional help and really go with the program but resist it, there wasnt really any hope of him getting better.
Your bf, has to want to change, get better and start asking for help, even if he's not 18 yet, there are agencies he can turn to for help but he has to start asking. The best thing you can do is tell him he needs to get his life changed around. He needs to be able to stand up to Mom and resist her control, he needs to stop drinking, he needs to show ability to be responsible and take care of his own needs starting with sticking with a job. If you see that he has been able to do all of that for a solid year, then at that point in time will you consider getting back into a relationship with him. So if he loves you all that much, he will do this AND stick with his new life after you come back. If at any point, he goes back to old ways, then he has lost you forever. If you can't say those things and give that ultimatum, then theres nothing anyone can tell you that will make your life any easier. You'll need to have to experience the daily nitty gritty of hell with him and his mom until you finally have had enough of it if you ever will. Some of us are willing to put up with crap for a long time in the name of love. The only crazy thing is, I was the only person I forgot to love in the whole equation. I forgot to love myself first. Until we learn to love ourself first, we will be unable to fully love another, mate, family, friend or stranger. The bible says, love your neighbor as you love yourself. It really means we can't love our neighbor until we know how to love ourself. Your bf struggles with the same, if he loved himself, he wouldn't be denying himself the help he needs, he'd go get it. Self love doesnt come from another person loving you. Its something that has to come from deep inside a person.
I hope this has given you something to think about. Based on what I just said here at the end, it's unlikely that what he feels for you is the kind of love that makes for solid healthy relationships.
last to last month i and my guy were sleeping nude.i gave him a blowjob and he fingered me. there was a gap of 1-2 mins or so between both the things. and his hand felt dry to me. al this hapened the next to next day wen my period gt ovr. so if he had sperms on his hand by any chance then is there a possibility of me being pregnant? and after all this thing we had shower too. he fingered me in shower and even i gave him a blowjob. we didnt have sex. im still a virgin. my cycle is usually of 32-35 days. after all this the next month i got my period on 17 and it was like 8 days othrwse its usually 6 days i assume that was bcz i took medicine(sandoz) to postpone my periods as i had a trip. my date was 17th. today is 26th and i stil havnt got my periods. from tday mornin im hvng very very very light brown discharge and in a very very small quantity. and the last whole month i didnt participate in any sexual activity. could the medicine be causing the delay of periods? also ive started exercising from past 4 days. im 18. my periods have been late few tyms bfr lso. thy hv been late 10-12 days also. but still m scared. please help
When a period comes on late or slowly and starts with a brownish discharge, it means it has been delayed but it about to start. Next stage with be pinkish spotting and then your regular flow. This will happen many many times throughout your life time as the period cycle is easily delayed by stress, by sickness, a headcold or the flu will do as well as anything that stresses the body, even a very heavy allergy attack. Females also will find their periods start sooner or way later than normal if they are regularly on a daily basis around the same females every day, such as female classmates, or co workers or family members who have periods. When women are around each other often enough, their cycles begin to change start times to become in sync with each other so all the gals are having their period exactly at the same time. Why nature does this, I don't know but its a very well known fact. So its beyond your ability to control.
Now, if for birth control you are simply deciding to count days on a calender to know whether you are safe or not or pregnant or not, this is not a very reliable way to go. Women who are trying to conceive a child will count days but they are checking for a few other things as well to know when they are ovulating. So I would only rely on this method if trying to get pregnant which I am sure you are not.
So, this leaves only one other choice, birthcontrol. Its time for you to get on it dear and that means a visit to your Dr. or go visit Planned Parenthood for that.
A little sex ex on the side, there are plenty of what you call 'virgins' those who have not had the penis in vagina sex yet who actually become pregnant. The reason is, it doesnt matter what the tool is that brings the sperm near the vagina or into it, penis, your fingers, or his or it just spraying there, it is sperm that successfully meets with a fertile egg that creates pregnancy. One more thing to think about. If gay sex is two of one kind of gender, there can't be penis in vagina sex. So at what point are they no longer virgins? This should help you understand that the sexual experience once embarked on in whatever manner, even if only masturbating or oral sex, is still sex and the experience of the pleasures of orgasm so that one is no longer a virgin, or in other words no longer new to the experience of sex. Thats all it means. So you are not a sexual virgin, but you are still an intercourse virgin, intercourse is penis in vagina sex.
I posted a question in this category back in November called 'it's hard for me to eat lately' and I went back to read it today and I noticed a few things I mis-said and things I forgot to add, plus the problem is getting worse so I though I'd ask again. (
(I have a few other medical issues that may be related to what I have now in the other question, but I didn't feel it was related enough to be repeated here.) (and another thing I'd like to mention is that when I was about 9 for a year or so I was constantly have stomach aches, ranging from super mild to severe, they eventually went away on there own)
Last summer at this time I ate like any normal teen would. I weighed 135(now weigh 114 I am also 5'7) When the school year started I slowly just started not eating as much, I'd get full really fast or didn't feel like eating much. And if I ate too much I'd feel sick. I didn't think I was fat or go on a diet or anything just didn't feel like eating.
Then at Christmas break I went to church camp with my two friends and at meals they noticed how little I was eating, and I felt nauseous and couldn't eat anymore by the time I had half of what they ate. They would make me eat snacks all the time and were very concerned. And I fully realized how little I was eating.
As soon as I returned from camp I weighed myself and I was 120 I think. Ever since then I've been doing everything I can think of to gain weight, protein shakes, smoothies, high calorie meals, fatty foods, ect. But it didn't work, just maintained where I was for a long time until I started losing again.
But the eating problem was the same until a months or two later when it suddenly got worse. And it's been getting worse. Now I always feel nauseous when I'm hungry, and it's either too bad for me to eat, or goes away immediately after a few bites, only to come back when I'm 'full' and when I'm 'full' I feel like I can't eat one more bite or I'll throw up. And if i'm not nauseous, I simply have no desire to eat or food is unappealing. It's to the point where I'm genuinely proud of myself if I can eat more than half a footlong subway sandwich in one sitting.
And for the last two days I've been constantly nauseous and I can't bring myself to eat even though I know I need to, I tried and it help a little but the pain/nauseousness whas/is this there.
I want to eat normal and be a healthy weight again more than anything. I'm sure there is something medically wrong, But I'm 16 and my mom refuses to take me to the doctor. I don't know why but she wont take me for things unless It's extremely sever, never has. Since I was born I've only been twice( when I had scarlet fever when I was like 7, and when we got in a car accident a few years ago.) For some reason she doesn't think this is that big of a problem, all she does is say 'eat some ice cream' and leave it at that.
She said the most she'd do is take me to her nutritionist(who I've met, and have witnessed half my family on her diets, and thus have experienced her diets. She can't help me.) Or the chiropractor which I have no idea how that would help.
I have no idea what to do, anything you guys think would help in any way would be much appreciated!
Hon, you may have something that only tests a Dr can order like blood and urine or body scans take may show what is wrong with you. Since you are getting worse, thats all the more reason to be seen by a Dr, whether the parents believe in that or not, or whether they have insurance or not. Its high time to tell your school nurse and ask her how you can be seen by a professional Dr. for testing to find out what you have. You may have a condition which can easily be taken care of with some medication. You could have something really rare that takes a long time to discover what it is and get the right treatment. Worst case scenerio is that whatever you have, if not treated early on, can progress to a point where treatments no longer help and it becomes terminal, meaning you die. Health problems are not a thing to mess around with. Your parents are responsible to look after your welfare, and your health falls under this. So if Mom wont take you to a proper Dr. You need to take charge for your own welfare but asking others for help, perhaps the school counselor. Do other relatives know whats been going on for you and for how long?
Perhaps mom thinks you are blowing things out of proportion, imagining more of it than whats really going on...and perhaps its because she;s known people like that in the past, friends, family or maybe even she was like that, a hypochondriac, someone always thinking somethings wrong with them when nothing is wrong. She may be using her past experiences or beliefs to keep her from taking you for medical help. Geez, this has been going on since before you wrote in Nov? Hon, if you don't do anything else, go right now before you can change your mind and walk right into any walk in clinic, tell your story and ask them to put you in touch with those who can help you. For that matter, I know another advicegiver has mentioned before walking into the nearest fire station as they have paramedics, and they are also bound to help you get the proper help. If only you would go talk to some other adults in a position to get you to proper authorities who can get you the medical help. Just think what would happen if one day, you never got up for school and your mom came to find whats up and finds you dead in bed. It happened to someone I knew from church, altho it that case it was an unknown heart defect. Your mom would have a hard time living with guilt the rest of her life once an autopsy reveals you might have had your life saved if you'd gotten medical treatment earlier. It would ruin her life to know she was in a way responsible for losing her own daughter. Its the kind of thing that can drive a person to wanting to end their own life. Or perhaps, there might be a law regarding neglect that can be applied in her case since you asked to see a Dr and she refused, and she may be found guilty in a court and sentenced to time in jail...i can't say but I've heard of similar stories. So no matter that Mom is against it for whatever reasons, you have even more reasons to seek immediate help cus you've wasted enough time so far.
Well, the weekend ( Saturday&sunday) my bf and I had sex. He came inside me twice. I immediately went to the pharmacy the sunday to get the morning after pill. Then the monday morning I peed out some of his sperm..would that still make me fall pregnant?
When a female has a male come inside her at night and then goes to sleep without getting up to walk around or pee, then some of his cum may still be inside and come out when you pee, that is not uncommon. But whether any comes out that way or not has no bearing on whether you can get pregnant or not.
If you and bf weren't sure you might really go for it and have sex, it would have at least been good for one or both of you to purchase condoms to have on hand just in case. I can see in a first time, not being prepared, but if you've been having sex for a while and this is the first time you didn't have condoms on hand, then I am with Adviceman all the way.
You are old enough to purchase the Morning after pill which I believe in some states has a minimum age under which one can't buy it by themselves. this means you are definitely old enough to go to your doctor, or Planned Parenthood and get on contraceptives like the pill. The condom is also needed to protect from STD's. I don't know of many teens who go to get tested before starting with a new partner let alone go for checkups and getting on birthcontrol.
At least you show some tendency toward common sense by going to purchase the pill the day after. However, its much better protection and better on your body to get on a regular birth control. Now that you'd have sex, you most likely are going to continue having it as long as you have a current boyfriend you want to do it with. Go see your doctor. Hippa law makes it confidential so parents won't be told and they cant find out. Young teens can go get medical help for anything having to do with their reproductive systems, so if you get a regular infection, bladder or vaginal, you can also go seek help for that too.
Is it bad that I kind of felt "at home" with him??
I can't explain it completely. I know it's bad because satan is evil and all about evil and I'm nothing about evil...
I have a god named cernunnos, so it's not like I want to go to hell and be with lucifer or anything. I want to go to the otherworld with cernunnos. But then again, I don't believe lucifer looks like that demonic dark red creature with horns. I believe he looks like a dark fallen angel, but evil.
In case you may not know the story of the War in Heaven, I'll try to condense that here. Perhaps it will answer some questions.
The Creator of our universe will be called God, for lack of better title. God created many creatures in heaven and angels are but one of them. Angels were not given a will like our souls are given, a will with which to make a choices, one of which is to follow God or not. Lucifer was one of Gods favorite Angels and was the most Magnificent looking one. Lucifer began to think about his situation. He didn't like the fact that there really didn't seem to be much choice, it was either live with God....or nothing. You end up in nothingness. The thing is, God doesn't choose making a soul or heavenly creature end up becoming as if they never existed, it is the choice of each and every creature and either He changed and allowed the Angels to decide or it is as the story has been told, Lucifer decided to rebel and convinced half the angels in heaven to come to his side. So started the War in Heaven. Of course God won and all Lucifers army along with him were kicked out of heaven. They fell to earth where they intended to try to get revenge against God by going after another creation of his, the souls that inhabit mortal bodies on planet earth. Lucifer is a creature who separated from God, by his own choice. It is written that God would welcome him back if he were to repent and ask forgiveness and turn over a new leaf. He does not want to. His aim and goal now is to turn as many souls away from God as he can. Why does he still exist? Lucifer is one of Gods creations, one of his children. God loves all his children, He just doesnt love the ugly things we do sometimes and the same goes for Lucifer. He is able to gain so many human followers because he doesnt use scare tactics. No, he presents himself as clean cut, handsome looking if taking on a human form or as a beautiful angel and this all to gain someones confidence in him. Then real slowly so one doesnt notice the change, introduces more concepts and ideas that take a person further and further away from our creator. Think of this like an older family member, like a half sibling, trying to corrupt a younger sibling in their plan of rebelling against the parents. This is exactly whats happening. God is light so Lucifer and his angels of course are not going to choose anything that represents God so they went for anything of darkness and so I imagine for most of them, their looks have changed. Ever seen nature shows of creatures who live in caves or deepest parts of ocean and how bizarre they look due to never coming into contact with the light? Well, they have changed into bizarre looking creatures.
As for the devil as a red creature with horns and forked tail, I can't be sure but early church tried to win people over by instilling fear in them of a place called Hell ruled by this Red devil who tortures you for eternity. If God wouldn't cause Lucifer to cease to exist, an angel who rebelled against him, then it makes even less sense for Him to sentence our souls to eternal torture for not choosing to live in Heaven with him. Nope, the choice is ours, we can choose to cease to exist as all that exists really is Gods creation, his universe, or nothing. Some souls choose to become nothing. God doesnt torture souls. Since Lucifer is a fallen angel, its not a matter of him choosing to exist or not, as he was created an angel. There are stories that at one point in time, way in the future, God will allow the fate of Lucifer to be decided by the voting of souls and other heavenly creatures. So who is Satan? If I remember my stories correctly, he is one of Lucifers fallen angel army, put in charge of the earth. the earth is but one planet in the entire universe. There may be fallen angels who have gone elsewhere but I believe the majority reside on earth or near and around it. I have heard some of this from what I heard Pastors tell in church, but even more from a book called 'The Urantia book". Urantia is the name in heaven by which they call planet earth. It is a story of the history of heaven, the creatures that live there, the evolution of our planet and the coming of Adam and Eve who were not the first two people on earth, and goes on to tell what might be the real story of Jesus purpose to coming to earth, not to save us from our sins. The book also mentions that our Creator is Jesus but that he also has a Heavenly father and is the son of God who also created his own universes. Our universe is Jesus creation and it is very vast. So he has allowed heavenly creatures He can trust to fill many different roles throughout the universe not to mention just our planet, at many different levels which for all rules and purposes are God like in their responsibilities. So your Cernunnos would be one of them. The Goddess some pagans worship or the many different versions of her are others, and there are other lesser spirits placed in charge of plants and vegetation, the elements, and so on. So if any one of us, recognizes and has an affinity to and follows or worships any one of these who fulfill a role of Light and love as the Creator is Light and Love, then we are on the right track, one that leads back to our creator and it matters not to him who we feel most comfortable with as long as we are growing spiritually in Light and Love and not slowly seduced over to following any who are of Darkness and Hate but just pretend to be of the light.
If you wish to read the Urantia book for yourself, it is online in its entirety, ready to read and can be found at: http://www.urantia.org/
i'm 13 and my step-brother's 15 (Jay). so we've lived together for 2 years but we've known each other for 3 and half years. so at first, he hated me and my mom because his dad replaced his mom. he didn't hate me as much tho. he never used to really talk to me but now we're like really brother and sister. he always insults me by saying i stink and that im fat. sometimes he always sings a song, always a different one. for example, i wore something different compared to what i always wear. so then he said i look like a really bad looking cowgirl (something like that) and then th next minute he started singing "she looked so fine, i just had to speak". he does this all the time. when we came on holiday, he started paying way more attention to me than he did before. like sometimes when i daydream, i always open my eyes very wide, and when someone looks at me while im doing that, my eyes start to burn/get watery. and when i looked into his eyes, he was staring at me. when i went int the pool (only bikini) the next days he kept tickling me. but only my stomach. so my mom and stepdad had an event that me and Jay went to. after few hours we went back to hotel cuz it got too boring. when we got there,(we had 2 rooms-1for me and mom, other for shush(stepdad) and jay). so since me and jay went back to hotel alone, he came into my room. we kinda always fight but for fun, so we did that and he basically threw me in the bed and just sat there on my back (nothing happened) and then next day, when me and mom where in room, he came in cuz he was too bored.then he went under the blanket where me and mom where sleeping on and at one point he was biting my arm through the blanket and hen he next minute he was holding my arm (mom didn't see) and when i kinda moved my hand, he took his hand away and it felt like he was rejecting me if you know what i mean. and when we were going for dinner i was trying on dresses to know which to wear. so i put this one on, and it was a bit stretched out. so i said i look fat in it but he said i don't look fat in it. so now im just really confused. we used to fight like that all the time and he always seemed to get me on the bed and then he would kinda sleep/stand on me and give me this look that he's about to kiss me but then he doesn't. he used to always look at girls but now he only looks at me. i don't know if he loves me. but i love him.
Wow, this is one of those situations like dynamite waiting to blow...
You're going thru puberty and starting to have strong wonderful feelings around the opposite sex as far as your sexuality goes, he's had a couple years of this feeling already, and male teens feel so compelled to want to find a girl to have sex with rather than teens just masturbating to take care of their needs. I will agree your age is kinda young to ever contemplate having sex, but I do know that teens do. At your age, even if all the two of you did was mostly innocent, hanging out together in school like boyfriend girlfriend, holding hands and kissing, it would be very hard to stand up to the teasing and harrassing and maybe even bullying from your peers. they would react as most people would and consider a relationship between you both as taboo and wrong. If I were in your shoes, I know I would be seeing the guy both as a brother and friend, AND as a possible romantic interest if we both had the right chemistry for each other. It would be much easier if the two of you weren't both attracted to each other physically, just being friends only.
From what you say, his demeaning comments are most likely his way of trying to change his feelings and attraction to you, knowing it would be a very awkward situation if you were both to act on it and explore it.
technically or rather, scientifically, there would be nothing wrong with the two of you meeting under other circumstances, your parents not remarried to each other. Neither of you are blood related.
Although I know the reality of life as a teen. Its hard enough for two teens attracted in this way to keep their distance from each other and not experiment with a kiss or more. this is way most parents won't let their daughters date until much older or go out on dates alone with a guy. Not that they don't necessarily not trust the daughter but they don't trust the guy. So the solution is to keep the girl and guy apart as much as possible or chaperoned at all times. In your case, living together in the same house makes this extremely impossible to accomplish and thats why I said its like dynamite waiting to blow up. I know you'll both feel so tempted at one point to explore.
So, whats the solution? I think you and he should have a good private talk. He's definitely doing things that show he likes you as a guy would like a girl if not for your family relationship. So I would say something like, "Hey, we really have to talk, a serious talk. You and I are both teens who are not blood related. We both seem to be giving off signs of being attracted to each other. If our parents weren't married, we could actually date each other. Since they are, it makes things awkward for us unless you absolutely are not attracted to me at all, in which case I need to ask you to stop treating me like a girl you are interested in, in ways other than a sister. I am attracted to you and am starting to have feelings there but I don't want to cause trouble in the family. So we need to first be honest, do we both agree we are attracted to each other? Then we need to decide what we're gonna do about it."
Here's some suggestions. When the parents are not around, you both need to agree to never be in the same room together, find a way to always have a parent around or one of you takes off to visit a friend or do something outside. This means you both need to talk and agree, and above all, use your wills to resist each other.
If you try this and find it too hard to do, then you both might want to approach an adult to talk to, probably not the parents yet as I understand how uncomfortable it might be. But both of you talk to a school counselor and see what they suggest. In the end, you both may need to approach mom and dad if by resisting, the mutual attractions don't die down, and let them know how you are feeling towards each other, that if not for them being married, the two of you could have met in school and wanted to date each other as boyfriend/girlfriend. Tell them being under the same roof is making it impossible and that you both have tried by sheer will to resist and that you find you can not change that, so you are now asking them what should be done. Have them decide. I know its awkward. But if those two adults just figured two kids who weren't blood brother and sister were going to make it thru teenhood without falling for each other, then they are blind and short sighted and need to be woken up. They actually may not have ever given this a thought. So either you talk to another adult and have them approach and talk to the parents, or the two of you have a talk and together go talk to the parents. Its the only way I know of to handle this.
If you decide to try to have a relationship in secret, who knows what could happen? It could strain the parents relationship when they find out. Its not something you can hide for long being under the same roof. I'd rather try for their okay and approval to date and likely they'd work out a way for one of them to always be at home or one of you off to a friends house so you both aren't home alone. This is something they have to face and it would be terribly unfair to expect the both of you to somehow resist each other for the next handful of years. Some adult needs to know so they can help you both out.
good luck dear! Let me know how things go
i had a dream where he looked like an actual angel, but he was dark and the background was dark clouds. and he was just floating with his wings.
what does this mean?
Hon, I can't explain why it happens that a person may have a dream of Lucifer or the Devil. I can only say it's happened to me twice that I remember in life. As far as i know it wasn't caused by having watched any scary or horror movies as I don't watch those ever. I used to be a church goer, and as a believer in a Loving God still, never have dabbled in Satanisn or Black arts or black magic. So there is no obvious reason why.And in both dreams it involved a battle between light and dark and I was a key player in each dream having to withstand Lucifer or assist church members in resisting him and helping heal those under attack by him. I woke so worn out emotionally from my dreams. Lucifer used to be an Angel of Light. He didn't try to show himself in a dream as such as He knew I knew already that He was a fallen angel. You didn't mention any religious background or beliefs. It may just be a fluke, or perhaps, spiritually you are at a crossroads of ready to grow more on your spiritual path growing closer to god and more like him, or perhaps seeing Lucifer meant you may be tempted to not be serious about your spiritual growth ans remain in a holding pattern, or maybe that you would be tempted to explore black magic and dark stuff. If you are faced with knowing people who claim to be Wiccan, witches or such, few of those are ever Satan worshipers. The majority and the magic they use, is all done under Gods light as their main creed is "If it harm none, do as you will." So maybe you read about or met someone who claims to be pagan or such and it simply got your mind thinking along the lines of the devil due to not having full knowledge of pagan beliefs. I can only guess what caused you to dream, and the meaning, probably only you can eventually figure out. I wouldnt worry about it. Go on with life, and enjoy and be loving and kind.
There's this guy that I really like. I don't think he likes me though, from what I see, and I was chatting with him, then we said stuff. Near the end of the conversation, he started acting weird, really very weird. He said something like ''I can't tell you or you'll discover my secret identity'' then ''I'm feeling like [my name] and you're probably feeling like me''. I just told him to go to sleep because things where getting weird. But, what does he mean? I'm so confused!
Both advicegivers so far have made sense. It may mean nothing at all, especially since no one would dream of announcing they had a secret identity for whatever reason.
If you're both young teens, it may be he feels totally inexperienced at how to talk to girls he is interested in. I am much older dear, in 50's but no matter the age, males when interested in a female can act pretty bizarrely,(as I have found when seeking my 2nd husband). They make no sense or aare a total turn off in how they act. Basically they don't have the same social skills as females have with the exceptions of some. In general tho, they can be very inept. I think that he started out okay because he wasnt yet concerned about either how to keep the convo going or how to set up things with a promise to talk again or meet, etc... When he knew the conversation was coming to an end, he began to feel the pressure of finding a way to keep talking or an excuse to meet and talk again. So he got nervous, which began to affect his speech. In fact, I believe he was trying to flirt with you blatantly. It was just a bit too bizzare for you to pick up on that. Men like to be able to make a girl smile, or betther yet...laugh. I think he was hoping for that response from you.
Here's how it would have gone down if I were single and a man my age said something about having a secret identity. My response would've been a way to flirt back and give him the confidence with me to relax and maybe ask whatever he really wanted like to meet again, trade numbers, make a date. "Secret identity? Oh, you mean like Spiderman and his girlfriend. Mmmm, that sounds intrigueing and kinda exciting. I love superhero's and always hoped I would find a guy I could call my superhero." Thats a big flirt back and most likely if he wasn't a total jumble of nerves, he would've gained some confidence by a positive flirty response. Right now he's probably berating himself for acting like a fool and not knowing what to say, and he may even think he's blown any chances with you. Since you like him, look for these feeble excuses for flirting, from him in the future, and give him some positive feedback to encourage him.
He likes you dear. A guy and even a gal will not approach and chat friendly like with a person they are not attracted to at all for fear of that person thinking they do feel attracted and response romantically to them. That leaves attraction of some sort as the only real reason to want to chat with someone.
I know its after the fact but next time you see him and are having a normal convo, you could tease and flirt in some way with him. You could even bring up his failed attempt from last time using it as a springboard for your flirting. Saying something like, "I was surprised to hear you have a secret identity. I wasn't sure I could trust you with this piece of information last time, but I have a secret identity too. If I had to trust someone with my secret identity, it would only be someone else who has one and understands what it feels like to be me, I know how you feel." say it all with a big smile, grin and maybe even a wink. He should get the clue that you are being friendly, accept him, like him back and over time he'll become less bizzare as he gains self confidence in a friendship with you.
Hi. So in the fall, I'll be going into 7th grade. But this will also be at a new school. So there are 2 middle schools in my town, and all of my friends are at the smaller one, and I'll be moving to the bigger one. Technically this will be my first year of real middle school though, because last year in 6th grade, I was actually homeschooled. This will not change my level of work at school this year, because I am a very extraordinary student anyway, although I am worried about middle school itself. I'm a newbie, AND it's my first year of middle school when everyone else started last year. I won't know my way around, I'll be late for classes, I don't even know how their systems work and everything. I'll be the new clueless yet smart girl that everyone pities. I'm smaller and an easy target for bullies, but I can come back with extremely witty comebacks that makes them want to wish they were dead in a ditch, if that helps. But I need to know some important things that will help me. I already know how to unlock lockers and stuff, so yeah. Thanks for your time.
Your mother might want to take you by the school a few days before it opens and talk to principal and staff. they need to know you've been home schooled to this point and are clueless as to what its like attending a public school, and what is expected. They should be assigning someone to help escort you around until you get familiar, likely a couple girls your age.
Are this pills used for abortion?
No hon, the birth control pill doesnt work by aborting young fetuses.
It's actually quite ingenious how it works.
Hormonal contraceptives like the pill, patch and cervical ring all use a small amount of man-made estrogen and progestin hormones. These manmade hormones work to simulate a womans real hormones were she to become pregnant. These inhibit the body's natural cyclical hormones to prevent pregnancy. Pregnancy is prevented by a combination of factors. It depends on the type of hormonal contraceptive as to whether it just inhibits producing an egg, "Ovulating", or does more.
Hormonal contraceptives also change the cervical mucus to make it difficult for the sperm to go through the cervix and find an egg. Hormonal contraceptives can also prevent pregnancy by changing the lining of the womb so it's unlikely the fertilized egg will be implanted.
So modern technology's pill with the synthetic equivalent of those natural hormones 'trick' the body into not producing an egg. However, along with it, many women also get some of the other side effects of pregnancy, weight gain, loss of libido, tenderness in breasts, etc.
To know for sure exactly what combination of steps trigestrel uses in preventing pregnancy, I suggest asking your doctor or better yet, a pharmacist. I don't know for sure and couldn't find a pharmacist assessment of trigestrel on line.
I do know that some people have religious views against the part of a contraceptive changing the lining of the uterus so a fertilized egg can not attach to the uterus and they consider this an aborting of a fetus. Not enough time has gone by for the fertilized egg to have grown into a fetus at the point its unable to attach. Even with the pill or various other methods of birth control, there is a small percentage of failure rates. I got pregnant while using a diaphragm and spermicide. If a child is meant to be born, I believe it will happen, no matter what. I thought 2 kids was enough. The oldest child told me she was praying for a baby brother. I got pregnant and she got another sister who is very much loved and wanted...it was merely a financial reason we didn't want a lot more kids. Once a couple has had all the kids they want, the marriage is stable and they'll remain together for life, I see no reason why the husband couldn't get a vasectomy or the women, her tubes tied so they can't produce another pregnancy. then no birth control is needed and one can't become pregnant.
Hi everyone, so I am 19 years old and I am on birth control and have been for about 2 or 3 years. My boyfriend and I had an accident about 3 or 4 days after my period. Which was about 2 weeks ago, and now it's like I'm on my period, but the blood is dark and not quite as heavy. My period isn't due for another 2 weeks. Could this mean I'm pregnant? When could I take a pregnancy test? I haven't messed up my birth control pills, so I'm pretty sure that that isn't the reason why my cycle has started. If anyone could give me advice on absolutely anything I would greatly appreciate it. Such as abortion, or or symptoms within 2 weeks of pregnancy, just absolutely anything. Frankly my boyfriend and I are not stable enough to bring a child into the world, as much as I would love too, that would be selfish to do to an innocent child. Thank you all so much!
Adviceman mentioned the slight possibility of a miscarriage very early on. Yes, it could possibly be miscarriage although it doesnt sound anything like one i had very early on, early enough to not have felt pregnant yet and i'd had kids before. I had a period start at a time it shouldn't have and then it continued on like a real period, not stopping. I never saw the brownish, to darkish spotting that is normal if a period is late. When they tested me, I had enough of the hormones in my body that signaled me being pregnant but the Dr. concluded that I was in the process of losing the pregnancy and wasn't likely to stop. So, I would say, its a good idea to go see your Dr. as they can confirm if you are pregnant and miscarrying. If you are so regular like clock work on your cycles, then anything that is different should be checked out, if not for anythng more than the peace of mind. Many women can not claim to ever having been totally consistant their entire life. there are times when stress or illness make a period late. Or even stranger, being around other women, like for me something regular like female classmates, or coworkers every day, will have an affect at changing my cycle. Even though I an due for a period at a certain time, My body will regulate to start at the same time as all the other women. I found out by working in a small office with 5 other women. One was unprepared and ask to borrow and pad or tampon and we all discovered we were on our period at exactly the same time.
this happens more often than not and can change the time when you have a period and is most likely the cause here. But the best way to not worry is to go in for a check up.
I met this guy who is a single dad of 3 boys and we have fell completely in love. We are getting ready to move in together alone with my 3 boys. His mom and I have got off on wrong foot and I want to make things right with her for myself and how I feel. She has helped my boyfriend raise his boys for 4 years cause their mom isn't around. She feels like I'm stepping in and taking her place and I'm not trying to at all. She is a sweet lady with a huge heart and I want her to know I would never try to take her place at all..
Advice man has said everything I would have. I'll only add something for you to keep in mind. Even tho grandmother and having grandmotherly feelings, she has in effect stepped in to become their mother for all rules and purposes, doing the mothering and raising that their bio mom wasnt around to do. I have a granddaughter and when I had her without my daughter around like for a weekend or such, just the relationship between her and I felt different on my part. I felt more like she was my own bio child, not grandchild. In fact on one occasion in a store when someone asked if she was my daughter, my subconscious mind heard and caused me to answer Yes, before my conscious mind could even focus on the question i was asked. that event really rocked me. I knew she was my grand daughter and yet I've gone on to occasionally have dreams that she is my daughter and I her mother. I also happen to be a very nurturing and maternal type...those feelings run strong in me, even with other peoples children, or even with adults who need a little nurturing, supportive care. So if she's that type too, she is not going to be able to make a switch easy in her mind that she's still the grandmother because the feelings of being their mom if this is the case, are way too engrained by now and she cant make that stop, its part of her. It has to be a special understanding of her not going back to being just grandma necessarily, but as in divorced couples remarrying and the blending of families, kids realize they now have more than one mom or dad and often 3 or 4 sets of grandparents. So you her and your guy need to all have a talk without the kids around to hear or witness. In your case, you may be the step mom, but she's like their mom, their adoptive mom. the only difference is that his 3 boys aren't being bounced between two households, his boys are going to have 2 "Moms" under the same roof. Now I know its hard for many women to get along with another female under the same roof. thats a given. But as adults, and especially her being older and wiser with more experience, I would think it should be possible...not easy, but possible. Then as for the children, she needs to be told that this is nothing more than a blended family where many kids end up with two sets of parents due to some being step parents now. YOu let her know you realize that she has been filling the role of mom and possibly has those motherly feelings as well as grandmotherly ones fr the boys. You want her to know that she is not being replaced, she can still fill that role for them but that they get something special other kids don't have, 2 motherly types under the same roof. If the kids are prepared that this is a special rare privilege that they get, then they will adjust fine. It remains that the real issues of parenting need to be discussed between all 3 of you. A mistake that parents make, and she is included here, is that children will play one against the other, running to one to get an okay for something, the one they think most likely to grant an okay. It may not be okay with the other parent or they tell one parent the other said ok if you say ok. Dont trust the kids. Your own may even try for the same thing trying to get grandma to give permissions on something neither you nor he had previously agreed on. SO you adults need to put off the kids on an immediate answer and say you will have a talk with the other two, this means, you include her input and ideas on all 3 of you deciding on how the parenting is being done. In the end if she fights her son or you tooth and nail, it is his mother, and he needs to have the talk with her that she needs to cooperate for the health for the family. He needs to be able to stand up to his mom in case things go really wrong with her, or in the end if really bad situation, he's giving her the reins to do as she pleases, with her boys, maybe yours too or ignoring and rejecting yours,...whatever the situation may be, and worst case scenerio, it doesnt work. Either you and the boys move out or she does.
However I highly doubt it as you described her as a sweet lady with a huge heart. Just place yourself in her shoes and try to imagine what it feels like to her and you'll do fine dear.
Me and my Sister both live together, She's 20 and I'm 20. Yesterday she was out and I went on her laptop to check a few emails, And her email was still logged in, And a few subject lines caught my eye, When clicking on the email. And reading through emails, I discovered she's selling herself for money, Not only that she's doing Skype shows, And selling Videos of herself and pictures to other people. On Adult chat sites, Craigslist etc.
She has a job, Works 9-5, She's not on a low wage, But not high either. It kinda makes sense now when I found out,She has a new car, Buying new things, And having a whole lot more money in her purse.
I don't understand why she would do this? Is she lonely? She's never had a boyfriend, And always had self confidence issues,
I just can't get my head around it, I found in her room after snooping, (Wrong I know) Like a client list, around £3k stuffed in her knicker draw. Sex toys, Condoms, Lube, All sorts of crazy things.
After also reading, It sounds like she's enjoying herself. I know she's 20 an adult, But she's my sister, And I don't want her selling herself.
How should I confront her? And why do you think she is doing this? What makes someone have sex in exchange for money?
Well, it can certainly be a boost to a gals confidence, especially if low. I know of a couple who split up but remained friends and the wife felt he didn't meet what she needed sexually, after years of marriage, still felt she wasn't pretty and desirable as a woman and yet she had a high sex drive. She got into a chat room where the guy after a while tried to talk her into camming and stripping for her, it wasn't a sex site. It disturbed her, as she thought initially as you believe, that it is wrong. Her ex, told her he thought she should go with it, its safe, just dont give out info where shes at, she could gain some self confidence and enjoy herself because the guy was visually attractive. When she got into it, eventually the guy stopping contacting her on line and she really missed it as she told the ex. He suggested she try some of the on line sex sites. She did and got really good at it. there are men looking for women of all types, some want the young things, others attracted to the mature mother types, some to way older women, and some actually like big women, big boned or chubby or overweight. And so this gal I know of, began making tons of money in her forties. She lived way out in the hicks and didn't want to move as she loved where she lived but there weren't eligbible nice men around at all in her area so she got her satisfaction and earned money for it too. I know an older past neighbor, a woman in late sixties who walked over to visit as i was trying to suntan topless when she came across me. That started convo about how shes comfortable with nudity and still actually quite sexually wanting, just not finding any local guys her age bracket as a friends with benefits thing. So she told me she turned to the internet doing the camming for free in order to try to find a couple of guys. Eventually she did meet a couple good guys who became steady friends with benefit partners for her but it took about 2 yrs to find them.
If older women can do this for their own reason, there's no reason a young one can't.
Its a way to get some sexual gratification, gain self confidence, pad the bank account, and be unable to get pregnant or catch a STD. It is actually an ideal way for some women to live if they're cut out for it. I am too social a person and want the in person physical interaction, to know I could be happy in lets say your sisters position. Some do it especially just for the money, a way to earn a living and have boyfriends or husbands okay with it cus its not cheating to them. they know she does it, that its only an on screen thing with these guys and she never will meet them in person, may not even be attracted to them if doing it for the money. Some put on a persona in this case, and began a character like in a play or movie. In fact many actors/actresses are nothing at all in real life what you see shown on stage. The acting or stage presence, is like a set of clothes they put on, its just an act. As long as sister is not endangering herself in any way, its actually a really different but still respectable enough way of earning money.
There is no reason to try to convince her to change her mind. there are many lonely men, crippled, divorced, widowers, who still need a sexual outlet and masturbating to a photo doesnt cut it for them. Its still mainly all in their mind, the orgasms that they achieve but their thoughts are stimulated by some of the senses stimulated, two---sight and sound. What they hear from the girl and see is enjoy to bring them pleasure and men are willing to pay for it. Some look for it free by asking a girl to be his girlfriend when he really isn't interested in her or a relationship. If a man who wanted free sex somehow convinced you he cared about you and in the end you come to realize, he just wanted free sex, would you feel like a prostitute just because he was using you like one, not because you went for him with that intent?
When we think of the service industry, we tend to think of dry cleaners, carpet cleaners, cable installers, computer repairs, tailor, tax accountant...etc...the list is great. All these people earn money, earn a living by fulfilling a need, giving service with something they were either trained to do, love to do, or something that they have a natural talent for. So why is it when it comes to sex that we think getting money for having sex makes it dirty while not getting paid for it is okay and normal.
Then theres the issue of how many different men involved. Do you shop strictly at one grocery, or do you visit many stores, following the sales or going for particular items one carries but the other doesnt? You aren't loyal to just one store.
In the same way, sexually, some people are not gong to be loyal to just one. In real life, no camming, theres monogamous and polyamorous. Poly is valid too. I've seen it work and also not work for some people I've known. It isn;t the most popular way of life, not many doing it but just because the majority are monogamous doesn't make the poly people wrong, dirty, or evil for having relationships with more than one with all knowing and approving.
You might try to remain open minded about her choice here. If she is meeting up with any guys in person, it then becomes a real safety issue, especially if using a site like craigslist for meeting in person. But still its her choice. You might want to let her know she left her last email up when you went to use the computer after she left and saw the email and now realize what she's been doing and likely how she 's gotten the extra money for new car and all. Let her know you're not condemning her (if you can come to that point) and just want to hear from her what its like for her, why she does it, and you want to make sure she isn't doing anything to endanger her or you for that matter. She shouldn't let any guys have any info on her that they could trace or pay someone to trace so they can show up uninvited and unnannounced on your doorstep, maybe even at a time you are there alone and she isn't. So you do have a right to know what precautions shes taking if any. If she is going about it haphazardly, and putting herself in dangerous postions, as her roommate, she may be opening you to dangerous possibilities too. As her roommate, you have a right to know what your'e up against. As her sister, you love her and have concern for her well being, so if its something that can physically harm her or endanger her, then as a family member, you should be saying something about your concerns. She is an adult however and does not have to listen to you, even if sound advice. She can make her own choices, even if bad ones, and no one can stop her from making them or change her mind and stop doing this. I hope this helps you to have a different out look on the situation.
