I am a single guy just turned 33, on a visit overseas staying with my elder brother (Mid 40s), his wife (mid 40s)and 4 kids (oldest bening 16 year old girl, youngest being 4 year old boy) I have been staying with them for almost 3 months now, have made a few girlfriends who want to know my house and certainly would want to get physical, but I dont know if it is all right to bring girls to the house and in my room, my room not even having a key, even though i stay alone there and the younger kids have the habit of barging in. Kind of funny problem, right? And by the way, we are black Africans. Whites tend to be more liberal about this kind of things than blacks. Just wanna know what u guys think before I make a decision. I don't think its a good idea. Not when there's a chance of the kids just coming right in. You might talk it over with your brother and his wife also before you even think about it.
Just explain to the ladies that you are a guest in your brothers home, they have young children and it would be an uncomfortable situation. Honestly, having to listen for footsteps outside your door would be a real mood killer anyway.
Instead grab a motel room or, if you plan to stay for a while consider renting your own apartment if its affordable for you. :)

I applied at Victoria's Secret and they called me and told me to dress up in black pants, bring 2 forms of ID, and come in for orientation this weekend. They didn't mention anything about an interview. Does that mean I won't be having one and I'm already hired? I thought orientation came after your interview and after you're hired. Also, any idea how much they pay? Any input would be great. Thanks in advance! (link)

Was Kurt a happy guy,or was he sad?This is something that's always bothered me,because I've heard that he was generally a fairly happy (or at least average)person,but I've also heard that he was upset with his life and felt very isolated (which would make sense because of his lyrics,his upbringing,and the crowd that he was trying to reach).I know that no one could really know for sure,but what do you think? I think he was a depressed person. Any appearance of happiness was probably drug induced. He was married to an equally depressed alcohol and drug abuser. I think his life was probably awful despite his success.

yaa this is gonna seem like the weirdest question on earth..but here goes.
i recently got engaged, and umm well..i dont know which hand my engagement ring shud go on. my fiance sez left hand, and so do his friends. my friends and my parents say right hand. and we tried googling it online, and we couldnt find a straight clear answer. its not really that important...but im curious to know which hand? The depo shot is as good as the pill. Extremely small chance if taken as directed. Sounds like you have done everything right.

How fast it would kill you would depend on how much it was bleeding. Bleeding or fluid running from ear is a very serious emergency.
Some symptoms include: unconsciousness, abnormal breathing, obvious serious wound or fracture
bleeding or clear fluid from the nose, ear, or mouth, disturbance of speech or vision, pupils of unequal size, weakness or paralysis, dizziness, neck pain or stiffness, seizure, vomiting more than two to three times, loss of bladder or bowel control.

My girlfriend OD'd last night. she took 4 lortabs & 4 kutecs(thats a perscription).she also took 1600 mgs of ibuprofen.she thinks that lortabs were expired because when she opened the bottle, it smelt bad.she became really dizzy, broke out into a major cold sweat, threw up 4 times,tight feeling in chest, and periodic headaches. its been 24 hours and she still is somewhat dizzy, and still has headaches in the back and sides of her head.
how can she get better?

Take her to an emergency room like you should have done 24 hours ago. She could have her organs shutting down on her and she could die.
After that I recommend a psychiatric consult so she doesn't do it again.

i am 36 years old and have been married for 12 years now we have 2 girls,11 and 13.anyway,to make a long story short wife for the last couple years has been going out and partying alot at night and on the weekends i always suspected her of doing something but she deneid it my friends even caught her but she still deneid it.finally this past nov. she admitted to cheating in me cause she wasnt happy. so we tried to sort it out and said she would stop. like a dumb ass i agreed she stays home and does stuff with me more but she still went out on the weekends and stayed out till the morning so this past weekend she went out and didnt come home till 1 in the afternoon now she tells me shes been doin coke after bar hours and this time she was so jacked up she was afraid to come home.she says she is goin turn her life around cause she dont want that lifestyle but i dont know if can beleive her.i love her but like i told what is gonna be next.i honestly dont think she can shake this habit if she still goes out even if its every other weekend when she is off.so where do i go from here (link)

You have to decide if she is worth another chance. That would mean her going to detox and staying at home and being a wife and mother *gasp* even on the weekends.
You have 2 kids at very impressionable ages. Think of them first and foremost. In a year or two, if not before, you will be having to explain why that behavior is not right, even though mom is doing it.
You are in the best position to decide if you think she is serious or not about changing her lifestyle. If you honestly don't believe she will change, take her house keys and tell her not to come back next time. Be serious about it though. If you don't think you can get past it all, pack her bags and show her the door. Let those kids no right now that bad behavior, doing drugs and staying out all night are not acceptable.

Well lately ive been thinking a lot about my past and what affect it has for me right now. and my sisters died a while back so i never met them. they died before i was born. so then my mom and dad had another daughter (which was me) and they never wouldve had me if they survived. so i feel like im not really meant to be here, they are. i feel like it's on my conscience and i messed everything up. i don't know...
I guess my question is...
How can I stop thinking about this? It just makes me depressed, help!

and your parents love you. You are here to ease the pain for them. You cannot change the past so no need to go there. Instead think to the future and don't get depressed by things you had no control over. :)

I've always wanted to own a Jeep Wrangler. However, I've been warned that they are expensive to maintain and require frequent work. Furthermore, I'm not able to afford a new one, and so I'm worried about buying a Jeep that might have been damaged off-road.
Are there any Jeep owners out there who can give me some ideas on what I would be getting into if I bought a Jeep? I'm not planning on doing any off-roading myself; I just like Jeeps. I'm mostly concerned about:
(1) How expensive is it to maintain?
(2) Would you recommend hard or soft top?
(3) Is there a significant danger of getting an abused vehicle? I would have it checked by a mechanic, but I wouldn't want to have to do that too many different vehicles - it would get expensive. So, how likely am I to find that the Jeeps I look at are trashed?
(4) What kind of gas mileage does one get on the highway?
(5) Are there chronic problems that anyone has observed with a particular model or year?

I have a 2005 and have never had a bit of trouble with it. It was new though. I would recommend them to anyone. I love mine!
So far it hasn't been expensive. I don't abuse mine much, though I do love those low or unmaintained road signs, especially if its been raining!
Mine is a soft top. I did some reading before I bought it and several times I read where a person had bought a hardtop, thinking it would be cold in winter with the soft and then never used it. Newer models have great heat, AC and it has the best sounding stereo I've ever had factory.
It is noisy. If there is any draw back that is the one. It doesn't tend to bother me but it could be a drawback for you. I have heard hard tops are best if you can't stand noise. Personally, I like the slight swag the soft top makes. Hard top is just to straight and makes them look sort of like a mail truck.
The best I have gotten is 19 MPG. Not great, but could be worse. It has been in snow and drives very well. I have to say I was very surprised.
So I would recommend you get one if you like them.
I've had mine a year.
There are so many really old ones running around
that my guess is they are very hardy. Enough people just drive them because they are a good vehicle, you can probably find one that hasn't been abused. Never a bad idea to have someone look it over before you buy it though.
