A father finds his son praying at night. 'God bless Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma. Ta ta Grandpa.' The father finds this odd, but doesn't think too much of it. The next morning the grandfather dies. I usually give advice-but i have never been to highschool-so i need advice about this
I'm going to Highschool this year(as a freshmen). Does anyone have tips on what to do and what not to do or what to expect! I would really appreciate it! Thanx

First off, in high school, since you are a freshman, beware of pranks, the seniors and Juniors are notorious for pulling pranks on people,especially innocent little freshman. I am one of the few juniors you can trust! Seriously, also this is a year where you can be immature and get away with it, but I wouldn't really advise it, cuz then it could turn into a pattern that could screw up your grades, trust me. Try to make new friends, don't be restricted to just one social cirlce, high school is a small glimpse of society. Also, expect allotta drama, with girlfriends and boyfriends and whatnot, try not to get caught up in that, it could distract you from your work. Its also a good idea not to slack off. But most importantly, find out who you are and who you want to be, don't let anyone else tell you, and don't let people have a bad influence on you, i know alot of people who have dropped out in the 9th and 10th grade, finish high school, don't let anything hinder you!

I can't believe I'm answering this question, but here goes, its different for every woman, of course it is located in the vagina *he-he*, vagina, but not every woman is the same, but in order for a man (or vibrator, or sex toy) to find it, it has to be hit just right, and sometimes, when its hit just right, it can result in an F.B.O. (Full Body Orgasm)....hmmm, honstly, if you want to more about it, read a Cosmopolitan, or any other feminine magazine, they can give you more answers, cuz I don't have much experience in that area, but its just common knowledge for me.

Not only is that normal, its also lucky! Mine lasts for about 5 to 7 days, i should be the one asking questions! But, honestly, thats average, don't fret, thats how most of my friends are, but I got the luck of draw and got the cycle that lasts for 5 to 7 days...CURSES!

There is probably nothing wrong with you. sometimes stress and eating habits can affect "that special time of the month" try to eat more iron and leafy green vegetables. Either that, or plan on going to a pool party, its bound to come, don't stress out and don't be scared. But if anything else unusual happens that scares you, let me know, and I'll try to help you work things out.

I bite my nails, it's a nervous habit (a bad one too). I think it's because my parents put a lot of pressure on me and my sisters (one of them also bites her nails). I like chewing on things, and nails are just convenient. I don't like gum, though- so I don't want to chew on that. I don't want to chew on food because I don't want to stuff myself because of a nervous habit. I hate carrots. How can I stop biting my nails? Sometimes I don't even realize what I'm doing and then my nail is gone! (link)

I've heard if putting hot sauce on your hands, but if you are like me, and you like spicy things, then it wouldn't work, unless you got the REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hot sauce, then that might work, cuz i was going to suggest the nail polish idea, but that doesn't seem to work for you. You'll figure it out somehow.

Corn has a protective barrier around it, from what i've heard, thats basically indigestible, so it comes out the same way it went in....Try creamed corn, instead if you are REALLY bothered! *lol*

my doctor does check-ups on me, im a 13 female, and he's a male. he always checks my breasts for things so he knows nothings wrong--like for lumps or something .. none of my other friends have their doctor do this .. my doctor practically squeezes me, and he always unzips my pants and looks down them and feels around. like i said, none of my friend's doctor's do this, and some of them have the same doctor as me. what do you think is going on? is he doing this sexually, or just being a doctor? If you feel uncomfortable, tell your mom, or legal gurdian, that you would rather have a female doctor, because all that touching and probing makes you feel uncomfortable. First off, is this guy a gynocologist, cause if hes an orthopedic doctor, something is definently wrong with this picture!

Well, you should try the grande nationals ( www.grande nationals.com) they are a detoroit local band. the paybacks, grade8, hotwire, groovie ghoulies, mates of States, Amazing Transparent man, the huxtables...hmm, thtas all i can think of right now, i hope youu ike them!

ok i am a little differnt in school. i like it and all. But last year people got the impresioni was gothic, but really i just like to be wearing somthing differnt than all the others. I am so confused. also i just wanto to breack down and cry but i know no 1 will understand!!!

I know, i had that same thing happen to me, and i'm more of a punk. but anyhoo, let them think what they wanna think, if they don't have the balls to talk to you and figure out what you're about and get to know you, forget it! i know exactly how you feel. I went to a predominantly black school ( i, too am black), and i'm little miss "Punky Grungy", yeah, i had kinda a hard time fitting in, but i did make friends. I applaud the fact that you know who you are, most people don't. you have already figured out that you don't wanna be like everyone else. be th black sheep, and continue to blossom and grow in that area ( in a good) way, and people will always remember you, cuz you're unique.

There could be alot of different reasons. perhaps you're not happy with material things alone. maybe you need something more to satisfy you inside. do a little soul searching, thats what i suggest. do some charity work, become a tutor, do something to help others, maybe thats all you really need, though i don't know you on a personal level, you should try it anyways.

Believe it or not, you should try vintage stores and second hand stores, you'd be suprised what you would find in there. Also, look through friends and family members old clothes, I want to encourage you to come up with your own style, but whatever makes you happy. Its also a good idea to go to garage sales and look, thats what i do, i found these really nifty purple tights with gothic black crosses on them...if you were from detroit, or live around the detroit area, i could tell you where to go, but i'm assuming you don't. Well, have fun shopping!

i go to winnfield middle school and we have school uniforms and i started a petition to get rid of them. so i had alot of names until the principal caught me and said she didn't authorize it. how can i get rid of uniforms without having to get it authorized. i thought about gettin people to sign it off of school grounds.

I also go to a high school that has uniform. its better to get the parents on your side, instead of just the students, but the principal doesn't make the decision on uniform, the school board usually does. you might be able to get them to modify the uniform, but there is very little chance that you can get rid of it all together, believe me, its been tried.

My mom and dad are jewish. my parents want me to be like them and do what they do. my best friend is christian and she took me to church with her once and i recieved Jesus into my life. i really want to be like my friend and be christian but my parents wont accept it! what do i say to them? i am my own person right? Was your decision to accept Jesus peer pressure, because you said you wanted to be like your friend, right? i'm not saying your decision was wrong, but did you make that decision because you honestly felt it in your heart? i'm sure you've tried talking to your parents, and if you haven't you should try, and explain christianity to them, though i'm pretty sure they know. by the way, how old are you? that also plays a big role in this, and are you mature enough to make a decision like this? i, personally do not alot about Judaism, but i know there are some misconceptions about it that are no true, often made by christians. invite your parents to church, and have them meet some of the church people ( and i hope your church isn't spreading misconceptions about Judaism or Jewish people, i've been to churches like that. Aaaaargh!)But most of all, make sure you accepted Jesus because YOU wanted to, not just to make your friends happy, but because you felt it was the right thing to do. sorry this was so long!

i know how you feel, but never compromise yourself for anyone, especially a guy like that! this guy is just playing with your emotions, its obvious thta he wants one thing and one thing only. if he can't be sweet to you 24/7, hes not worth a second thought. even though i don't know you, i don't want you to get hurt, physically or emotionally. please, don't continue to get involved with that, that....that ASSHOLE!

First off, drink some pedia-lite, to replinish everything that the dirrahea got out of your body, and make sure not to dehydrate as well. eat as little as possible, and if you do have to eat, eat an apple, or something light. pepto-bismal makes matters worse for some people, so be careful when you use it. But most importantly, ( and i'm sure you've herad this before), go to the doctor to see whats wrong, sure you might not agree with going to a doctor, but what other options do you have? i hope i helped, and i hope you feel better.

First off, i know how you feel about those bands, but could you not use the term "fag", it kinda pushes my buttons. Second of all, yeah those bands suck, what are u gonna do about it, hate them all you want, but people are still gonaa like'em *lol* young teenagers, are still novices when it comes to the music scene, they are still exploring. For example, when i was 13 i LOVED limp bizkit, i deny it now, but thats the truth,and older teenagers still have a lot to learn to. i'm only fifteen, and i asume that ur a teengaer as well, most of the bands we listen to nowadays are gonna be gone in the next 3 to 5 years, and if theres a nuclear war the only things that will survive will be the roaches, good charlotte, and simple plan....a little scary to think about, huh?

HEY! i feel offneded! I'm a wiccan! *lol* but seriously, who explained to you what the craft was about? b4 you try and stop him, read up on the craft and the catholic church, the ceremonies between the 2 aren't so different, i don't mean to offend you, and if you are offended, i'm deeply sorry, i don't mean to, but the craft is one of the oldest religions, older than christianity, so its easy to misunderstand it. we are not satanists, and whatever you've seen in the movie, "The Craft", forget about, that ain't true. but you also have to respect your friends wishes, you don't have to agree, but if thats what he really wants, don't interfere, and i'm not just taking his side, but hes your friend and you have to love him and be there for him.

Not everyone wants to be witnessed to.or isn't ready to be witnessed to. it also depends on how you go about it, if ur forcing it upon her, shes not gonna want to listen trust me, but if thats not the case, maybe you should tell her, that you feel hurt. i mean religion is a serious thing, but it shouldn't interfere in a friendship. there are 2 things that you should never discuss with friends and that is religion and politics, those 2 things can really break a friendship apart, because the views may be so different.
