I honestly don't think high school is that much different then middle school ( well at least it wasn't for me. everyone's different) at my highschool there was soo much more independence and it was more fun. Oh and try not to miss any days because attendance counts for a lot in high school

First off, in high school, since you are a freshman, beware of pranks, the seniors and Juniors are notorious for pulling pranks on people, especially innocent little freshman. I am one of the few juniors you can trust! Seriously, also this is a year where you can be immature and get away with it, but I wouldn't really advise it, cuz then it could turn into a pattern that could screw up your grades, trust me. Try to make new friends, don't be restricted to just one social cirlce, high school is a small glimpse of society. Also, expect allotta drama, with girlfriends and boyfriends and whatnot, try not to get caught up in that, it could distract you from your work. Its also a good idea not to slack off. But most importantly, find out who you are and who you want to be, don't let anyone else tell you, and don't let people have a bad influence on you, i know alot of people who have dropped out in the 9th and 10th grade, finish high school, don't let anything hinder you!
Much Love,
Victoria

Me too. I'm taking it as "another year of school," and you can check out what ex-students thought on the teachers you get @ [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

It's really not much different than middle school, except it's a bit of a bigger school and you're the youngest again. But I didn't get picked on once for being a freshman, so don't worry about that. Don't be incredibly obnoxious or slutty or anything, and you should be fine :o)

don't get too excited about it, it's just another year at school. don't expect to be picked on all the time, don't expect to be most popular, don't expect everything to go perfect. just pretend it's like you're back in middle school again. it's basically the same.

Don't dress up or wear like a skirt or a cute little outfit on the first day. Thats how they always know who's a fish. just wear like jeans and an american eagle t-shirt or something with flip flops or like birkenstocks. and don't bring a lot of crap and even if you are don't look lost.lol hope i helped.

Thats how I was, I remember before High School even started, I said I wanted to be home schooled because I was so afraid lol. But, once I got there, I was totally fine. Just imagine it as Jr. High, its exactly that, just except well BIGGER and TONS more people. Thats the great thing about high school, you meet a new person like EVERYDAY! Its great. You meet tons of new friends. All you really have to do is just act yourself and be outgoing. Try talking to the people around you and hold a conversation, try doing that in all your classes. And when you get your schedule, compare them with your friends, so you know which classes you have with them, and then on the first day you can meet up with them so you know where to go for your classes (which isn't too hard to find, I mean I'm blonde and I found my classes fine lol). The only thing I can think of, of what NOT To do is act like your in 8th grade and pulling all those stunts off. Like, throwing pencils up on the ceiling, REALLY dumb lol. Yea, people in my classes did that lol. But, thats all I can think of. You'll be fine and just have fun, take lots of pictures too! lol. Hope this made you feel better =D
