how come there are some families that dont really care what their kids do? they'll let them have sex and just do whatever they want to do. do they not think that they will get in troulbe?

i guess some parents have the mentality that their kids are going to do it anyways, so why not let them do it. i'm not really sure, but that could be a reason.

hi everyone!

i curl my hair with a curling iron every weekend (somtimes i just flat iron it) but the rest of the week i leave my hair pretty much nautral (no heat styling).

how do i keep it healthy? im going for a haircut to getrid of the spllit ends but i want to keep them away!

also, i feel like the bottom layer of my hair is extra tangly and dried out.

if it helps, my hair is fine until the day after i iron it, and then it gets split endy. so i cut off the ends. but they come back the next weekend!

i dont use a heat protector when i curl it because it gives my hair a wierdtexture, and its so much softer if i dont.

also, whats your favorite hairstyle for everyday?
(please especally answer ifyou have wavyish straightdark brown hair that goes halfway to your elbow)

and what conditioner do you use to keep your hair healthy?

thank you so much!

Dove Intense Damage Therapy. It's in a dark blue bottle. I use it & it works pretty well. I don't have as many split ends as I use to. :]

& I have the same kind of hair as you do, but I really don't have a favorite hairstyle. I'd love to curl my hair but it never stays, lol. So most of the time my hair is straight.

what times of the year are all stores/restaurants closed? thanksgiving and christmas and new year's only? is anything all open on those days? like 24/7 marts or something? thanks! this has been bothering me forever!

Yesterday the only places in our whole town that were open were Walgreens, a few gas stations near the interstate, & Sonic.

i've liked this guy since i was in seventh grade & i'm a sophomore in highschool now; he's a bit older than me and my parents would kill me if they knew i was hanging out with him.
but i'd been friends with him since i was in 4th grade, and we've been keeping in touch since then.
so we hung out in secret twice, after the 2nd time he asked if i wanted to hook up with him... of course i said yes.
so afew weeks ago, he picked me up from a friend's house and i FINALLY hooked up with him, after all these years of liking him so so so much. he's all i would talk about, think about, and he was just my world. when he dropped me off we even kissed goodbye, too. afterward he said he really enjoyed it and was really glad it wasnt awkward. that just made me insanely happy right?
well after that, he stopped talking to me. we'd make small talk here and there, but nothing's been the same... he doesnt call me sweetheart or anything anymore:(
i even asked him if something was wrong and he totally denied it too. he said stuff like "i've been busy with school and work and everything" and that kind of thing. and after a bunch of one worded responses, he'd ignore me completely, and days would go by with no word from him
(sorry this is so long)
i've been a little stalkerish and he's been going about his normal life, which includes ignoring me now. what should i do? he's literally breaking my heart, i can't get over him i just see him as the perfect guy for me. . . and i'm not interested in anyone else at all. PLEASE help me i'm so sick of feeling depressed all the time.

Guys are pretty notorious for doing this. I just went through this three weeks ago with the guy I liked for three years. I would say just try to not talk to him & give him a little space for a few days, then try calling him again and see if he acts any different. I know its hard but try that & see what happens. I hope he stops ignoring you. I'm not really sure what else to tell you though, since I'm going through the same thing. Sorry I can't be much help, but I hope I helped a little.

I cant find this song..
it goes something like
"I slept with my best friends baby sister"
its country Im sure..

&&
Its a country war song type.
Its about a guy looking down on his friends
a part goes..
"i remember when we use to play war in the backyard when we were younger"
or something close to that.
My sister's friend died in the army, and she wants to know that song..
Im sorry if i totally messed up the words to the second one..
Thank you!!

That second one is "If You're Reading This" by Tim McGraw I believe. :)

I just recently told my guy friend (who is now my boyfriend) that I have feelings for him. So, we decided to be together and there's a huge problem.

This all happened at worse time. He joined the Marines and will be leaving shortly after Thanksgiving. So everything happened pretty darn late. The thing is that I'm not sure if I want to be a military girlfriend or wife. I'm great at doing long distance, but I'm not sure if I'll be great at this. We are both 17 and I just feel so young for this. But I admit my feelings are very strong for him.

I would never convince someone not to follow their dreams, so that's way out. I guess what I'm asking is what to expect when your boyfriend is gone for so long?

Any advice or stories would help.

I'm in the very same situation as you, so don't feel bad. The guy I was seeing just went in the Army in September. We were never boyfriend/girlfriend or anything, but I have really strong feelings for him & I think he likes me.
Anyways, I can tell you that it's going to be hard. You will probably do a lot of crying. It might not really hit you that he's leaving until a few days before. It didn't hit me until the night before. :/
He's going to basic training, right? I'd imagine so, lol. But don't expect to really hear anything from him from about a month. They get one short phone call every Sunday. (That's for the Army anyways, not sure about the Marines, but I think it might be the same.) He can write, but he won't have much time to write while he's there. Trust me, from what my guy told me they get like 2 minutes to eat a full course meal, and they have to wake up at 4 in the morning. I didn't get a letter from my guy until almost a month after he left. But just because he might never call or write, doesn't mean he's not missing you or thinking about you :) Make sure you give him your address and number before he leaves or you won't get to talk to him at all.
Other than that, all I can really say is just bear with him & be there for him. He's more than likely going through the same thing because a lot is about to change for him. He'll be someone totally different where he doesn't know anyone, away from everyone & everything he knows. He won't get to see home for months, depending on what's he's going to do. And if the whole war thing is going on when he gets back, there is a good chance he might be deployed overseas. :/ They told my guy there was an 15% he was NOT going overseas. So yeah, I'd say just stay for him a little while, until you know if you can handle it or not, then make your decision. If you two are meant to be then everything will work its way out. I hope I helped some! :)

One of my teachers told us that we should be saving our work from every year. Do you think we should? Why? & For what grades? Like, does middle school work even matter? Thanks :)

Its not a bad idea to save your work, in case you didn't understand something you could go back and look at it. I think teachers just tell you that, because the stuff you learn each year is pretty much the same thing you leaned the years before. I still have my 8th & 9th grade algebra work! I was keeping it around cause I'm horrible with algebra & figured that if I needed to look over it again, I'd have it there to do so. I will probably have to use it in January when I take an algebra course for college. But who knows, lol. Hope I helped you out some!

okaay...sooo i was just wondering if you had to take a pee test when you get a physical..&& this is going to sound really bad...but how long does it take for weed to get out of your system??same with alcohol.oh gosh.that's bad.yeaah.

For weed, I'd say about 4 weeks. I'm not sure if its true, but I heard that if you're really skinny and you don't have a lot of body fat & if your metabolism is high, weed doesn't stay in your system too long. I've also heard to drink a lot of water and that should help too. I'm not sure about alcohol, but I don't think it would be in there too long.

hey im a girl
i just wnana kno
why guys do this

1:they like ignore you for a day and then the next they start talkin to you

2:they are so confusin sometiems uthink they like you beccacuse of thyre smile or something
and you neverrealy now
why do they give mixed signals??

Haha
thats all really
:P thanks
PEACE

Ha, I just answered a question like this. But I found this information on a website a while back, and it explains why guys do that whole ignoring you, then not thing.

"Like a rubber band, some men can pull away periodically to remain close to their partners. Most men go through a cycle of getting close, pulling away, and getting close again. This is like a very hungry person eating a large meal and feeling very satisfied and then not focusing on food for a while until they are hungry again. Once a man satisfies his need for closeness, he turns his attention to work or other interests until he feels the need to reconnect. Like a stretched rubber band, he will automatically spring back after he has taken the time to pull away.

This switching between needing intimacy and independence is instinctual for some men and it can be confusing and painful to a woman. It’s important to learn if it’s a reflection of how the man feels about the relationship or his partner, or has he simply had his fill and is instinctively reaching out to satisfy other goals/ needs in his life.

Typically, once a man has fully experienced feeling independent from his partner, he will instantly become aware of his need for love and intimacy and automatically spring back to the relationship. If he is reacting to this natural process he will pick up the relationship at whatever level of intimacy he left it when he stretched away. It is important to determine if this behavior is normal or is he pulling away for other reasons.

This common and normal behavioral pattern can cause enormous difficulties in a relationship, especially if the woman does not understand why her partner is pulling away. Typically it can cause a woman to worry about the security of her relationship and it can cause men to wonder why she doubts their relationship. All around, if the rubber band theory is not clearly understood, and if a woman does not have helpful secondary support in her life, this issue can cause countless hours of unnecessary worry and turmoil."

Read this. I found it on a website a few months back, but it explains why guys do that. You'll understand a little better. :)

what do you think of guys straightening their hair?

I have no problem with it, lol. If a guy wants his hair straight then that's fine. My best guy friend got my best friend to straighten his hair once cause he hated how it flipped out & it looked better straight. Some guys just like their hair better that way. :)

I have bad acne. Iv had it since 5th grade and Im now in 11th. Im 16 and a felmale. I have proactive, but doesnt work. Is there anything I can buy/do to help clear my face up? Anything I can stop eating/drinking that might help. I LOVE Pizza and I do drink to much pop, is the pop doing it? Any ideas are welcomed!.. But I dont want anything stupid like put toothpaste on it. I have acne, not just pimples. Thanks!! =]

If you can, get a prescription for Evoclin. Its a foam but my doctor prescribed it to me & it was the only thing that worked for me. However, it's like $199 for one bottle :/ But insurance covers it if you have it.
But if you can't do that, try St. Ives Blackhead & Blemish stuff.. that worked pretty well for me too. :)

i need a car that is in good condition
under 2000 dollars. well equipped w/ powerwindows,doors,cd,a/c,4 doors,automatic.

i look in the classifieds and i just wannna know like what are good cars.
some i like are ;
kias
hyundias
toyotas
mitsubishi
nissans
chevys

but what are cheap and good quality cars?

if you can find one, get a subaru. my mom used to have one, & she never had any problems with it. :) they're very hard to find though.
but other that that, nissans, toyotas, and chevys are pretty good. i heard mitsubishi's aren't that great.. but there are a few that are okay. i'm not sure about the others you listed, but i'm sure they're pretty good. :)
oh, & whatever you do, do NOT get a ford.. that includes mercurys, lincolns, and mazdas (they're all like branches of ford). my mom has a ford truck and since she's had it she's put almost $3000 in it & it continually keeps messing up. & my first car was a mercury, i've had nothing but problems since i've had it. :/ surprisingly it still runs though. lol
