I hate my column colors, their getting old. Anyone have any cute colors that go good together? Other than Pink/black. Right now its pink/black/baby blue and I want something different. I rate 5's if you try! =)
Pale yellow and pale purple
Pale yellow and bright pink
Pale yellow and medium green
Baby blue and dark purple
Pale pink and bright orange
Pale orange (peachy colour) and bright pink
Black and medium yellow
Black and orange
Medium purple and white
Black and white
Black, white and bright pink
Pink and white
DON'T use red and green, whatever you do, or white on red, because they're really hard to read!! It's best to have the pale colour as the base and the bright colour as the font. If it's a dark colour and a light colour (e.g. black and white) it will work either way round.

I baby-sit this five yr old grl. She's a nice person when there are grown-ups around. And I get paid good money and her mother is so sweet. In fact, her mother is my pastor's daughter, and they both been good to me. But the little girl aint at all what i thought. she is so worsesome. she is the most whiniest little girl i ever met in my life. she's obsessed with thats so raven and watches it all the time. she bugs me about going outside in the rain and she insults my sisters. and she's only five. how do i handle her without losing my job. because i couldnt quit and do that to her mother. the girl is a handful
Hi,
Find out what else she likes other than That's So Raven - and bribe her with it! Say, 'if you go outside in the rain, I'll tell your mommy that I think you watch That's So Raven too much and you'll have to stop watching it.' Whether you do or not is a different matter, but she's a five year old - she'll believe in your authority to do that. Everytime she's naughty pick up the phone and dial her mother (you could switch your mobile off and ring that if you want to avoid confusion on her mother's part). You can hang up when she stops doing whatever it was she was doing or you can talk to her mother/pretend to talk to her mother but actually talk to her answer phone.
I baby sit my cousin a lot and one thing that always works with him is calling the 'naughty police'. Don't do this if the girl is particularly sensitive and likely to cry in fear or something though. Ring your mobile (obviously switched off) and have a pretend conversation with the 'naughty police' (e.g. 'hello, naughty police? Yes, I have a little girl here who just won't go to bed...you say she has to go to bed or you'll come here and take her away? (turn to girl) What do you say?' and hopefully she should go straight to bed!
Although, if she likes That's So Raven, record some episodes of it and say that if she's good you'll let her watch them. Not only will she probably like you for recording them especially for you, but she'll probably be good until she can watch them (bring five or something and put one back in your bag every time she's naughty). Plus she'll be out of your way, quiet and not bothering you while the programme is on!
You could also make That's So Raven costumes with her and play That's So Raven games with her - anything to get her to like you. She's more likely to do what you say if she respects you!
Good luck and I hope that helped,

im petrified of dying, evry time i think about it i have butterflys in my stomach and i feel sick. i usally think about it wen im about to go to bed then i carnt sleep.how can i stop feeling so scared of dying?i dont wana see a therepyst.is this normal?

Hi hun,
I know EXACTLY how you feel. I'm totally the same - I think about death and my head swims and I go all sick. It's horrible. I really don't have much advice, other than we're (both of us) just gonna have to learn to accept that we are going to die one day (and right now you may feel like you'll never accept it, but one day...you just will. It'll come, and you won't be so scared), so I just wrote this answer so you know you're not alone!!
Try listening to the radio at night as well. Listening to the songs means you're concentrating on them rather than death :)

this is weird, but my braces have probably affected me a LOT, and i'm not just taking about my teeth getting straighter. i like the way i smile better (somehow, it made my smile bigger or something) but not the way it looks (you know...these TRAIN TRACKS IN MY MOUTH!). that is, when i DO smile. i've gotten so sick of these things. i'm always cutting my lips with them, and i can't stand the thought of knowing that i'll have them for another year... when people call me braceface, metal mouth, silver sidewalk, dientes de aluminio, etc. it's not that i'm sensitive or anything, but i get pissed off easily, and the thought of having them for another year and not being able to take them off even for a minute... it took away some of my favorite food!! my teeth weren't even crooked in the first place, but my parents got me them anyway because...never mind, that'll only make this story even longer. anyway, it's not just that stuff, that i'm really HATING the way i look, but it's starting to get REALLY weird... you're probably not gonna believe this, but when i talk on the phone, i almost always hear other people's phone convos!!! once i even heard a police officertalking to another one! it's not my phone, cause it always happens to me ONLY. don't even get me starting on TV reception... this i slong, and it probably sounds like i'm crazy, but i just need a way to deal with these things... put up with them for ANOTHER YEAR.
I know exactly how you feel with the braces. I have my for another year too :(
I know they suck SO MUCH now, but if you are already liking your smile better, think how great it will be in a year when your teeth are not only better, but braceless!!! My braces cut me too, but it's always the wire getting loose at the back and not the front parts cutting me. Try talking to your ortho about that and getting some chap stick or vaseline!
Yeah, the no sugar thing sucks...at the moment I'm eating a lot of diabetic chocolate which has, if not none at all, at least reduced sugar. You can buy it from Thorntons or Boots in England or any good chocolate or health shop any where else!! You can get all sorts - toffee, fudge, wine gums, fruit drops, biscuits, belgian chocolate - anything you can think off, all with like 1% sugar! I really recommend it 'cause it tastes as good as the real stuff :)
Only one more year...think how fast the last year has flown by! Stay strong and remember that it really isn't that long, not when you think most people live for like 80.
You'll be grateful you had them when you get them off :P
Blessed Be,
Rach xxx
P.S. And if you ever wanna chat about how sucky braces are, or anything else, IM or email me on any of the addys from my profile :)
i really want to become a vegetarian because i actually prefer helthy food to meat and burgers and i don't like to think that i'm eating something that once was a part of a living animal. although i would still eat seafood, dairy products and eggs, it would probably cause me to lose weight or not be able to gain weight, and i'm already skinny as it is. so my question's adressed to vegetarians and those who know a lot about nutrition: is it possible to gain weight while being a vegeterian? does it always cause people to lose weight?
No, it doesn't! You can still eat sugars and fats and stuff as a veggie so you can still put on weight. It will definately make you healthier (if you eat the right amount of vegetables and fruit and stuff), and may make you lose weight at the start but not enough to really notice. If you get your protein from things like fish and cheese you shouldn't really see much of a change in weight but you will be much for healthy and energetic! You can eat fish and dairy products as a veggie - it just means you are an 'ovo-lacto' (you eat eggs and dairy products) vegetarian.
I've been a veggie for near on five years now so if you ever want any more advice just say!

well i just became a vegatarian 2 weeks ago and all my friend does is joke about it she even made up a song up about eating meat and this pisses me off and gives me stomache aches and makes me want to burst out and she knoes but i still feel like its rude of her and i hate that feeling .. what can i do ?? .. thnx ... Love, MauraAnN
Heya,
Just stay strong! Being a vegetarian is very difficult and new at first, even to you, so imagine how new it seems to her! She'll get over it soon enough. In the mean time, you should try telling her how much it's pissing you off and warn her that you're not gonna stay friends with someone who can't respect your wishes and choices or is acting like such a brat. Try and make some other friends or strengthen your friendships with existing ones :) You don't need friends like that - if she doesn't stop in a week or so ditch her. She's not worth it and if she's doing this over something like this imagine what else she could be stupid over!
I became a veggie myself nearly five years ago now :D It's hard but stick at it!! I recommend 'Quorn' food if you haven't found it yet - it's a great meat substitute and is really low in fat. You might not have it if you live outside the UK though. Search for some soya or tofu :) And remember that a vegetarian saves an acre of trees every year!!! (This is because we aren't eating the cows/sheep/pigs so less are bred so less trees are cut down to make grazing room for them).

ok in my english class I have to write a paper on a assigned topic. My topic is abortions. I need opinions and any information that is good and bad about abortions. Please I need help on this. I have my own opinion but I need more than just what I think.
Just a couple of facts -
*A baby can actually stand up, stretch and YAWN inside the mother's womb aged 18 weeks. People used to think they simply stayed curled up in the fetal position, but new 3D ultrasound has proved otherwise :) This shows that a baby at 24 weeks, the abortion cut off date, is most definately a human being, and not a 'thing' unrecognisable as a human being.
*The legal end date for abortion is 24 weeks - six whole months!!! (That's a fully formed baby - 6-9 months is just growing time).
*Do you know what the actual abortion process is? Very early on they use a vacuum and 'suck' the baby out, but when the pregnancy is further along, they actually insert an instrument into the uterus and chop the baby up so they can pull it out through the vagina.
*The UK is considering shortening the final date for abortion to 20 weeks.
*A baby is considered viable (i.e. it could survive if it was born at that time) at 20 weeks thanks to modern technology (so 20 weeks is kinda late for abortion).
*There are two typed of people who campaign about abortion - pro-life and pro-choice. Pro-life are against and pro-choice, while they don't parade around screaming 'lets kill babies' support the woman's right to choose what happens to her body.
*Counselling is offered before and after an abortion.
*The father has no rights over the unborn baby.
*You might wanna look up the 1967 (as ammended 1990) abortion act to see what reasons are allowed for an abortion.
*Abortion is only allowed after 24 weeks if the baby is severely handicapped and would have no quality of life.
*Pro choice groups say that a woman should have the right to choose what happens to her own body, and that bringing an unwanted child into the world would not be fair on that child. They also say it wouldn't be fair on child or parent if there wasn't the finicial means to care for them both. They also say a zygote/embryo/fetus is a 'thing' and not alive until it is born.
*Pro life groups say that life begins at the moment of conception. They say that abortion is wrong because it is murder.
*Abortion has to be agreed to by two doctors before it can take place.
*Abortion is NOT available on demand in the UK - see above point.
Hope that helped a little!! If you ever want to know more, just drop a Q in my inbox!

Why are human beings, as a species, so weak minded that they need religion to tell them what to do? I want real answers, not just the whole,"Jesus is great!lol!" shit that most people will dish out. I.E. I want someone intelligent to explain this to me.
A lot of people don't need religion to tell them what to do - they need religion to comfort them that there may be life after death, to give them something to believe in when they are weak and/or upset, and to guide them.
Sometimes we all need a little faith, especially when those around us can't give it.
That's my reasons for RELIGION...as for it telling you what to do...hell knows, because laws do that. So in that respect, I guess it's just personal preference. Sometimes it's easier to follow something you believe in than something you have to do.

O.K please help and fast... my mom has the flu and shes throwing up and stuff... what do i do? is there anything i can give her that will help her feel better?!? (not medicane) please help!
*i rate*
She should drink some water slowly until the throwing up stops (only sipping or she'll be sick more!) and then continue drinking another two or three glasses of water so she isn't dehydrated - this should be drunk slowly too. Keep her sitting up and maybe put a small blanket over her to keep her warm. For the flu symptoms, when she isn't being sick, she should drink hot blackcurrant or lemon juice (just add hot water to squash). Get her a little bucket to be sick in and a put a towel on her knee so if she be's sick there it won't matter. She'll feel much better knowing you're looking after her! It would be good if brushed her teeth to get the sick taste away once she's stopped throwing up too. She should eat dry toast and drink water until the being sick TOTALLY stops. Give her a hug and let her watch her fave programme on TV :)

I have this friend(Tricia), she's actually a best friend of mine and we met in sixth grade, in seventh grade i had this boyfriend i was pretty serious about we went out for 2 months then i found out he cheated on me with my best friend, tricia. When i talked to her i found out it was true and we didn't talk for the longest time. I'm now in 8th grade and we are close again but i never forgave her because she lied about it and also it was bad enough that it's stuck with me forever. I don't know what to do because it is brought up alot at school and reminded because of people say, also just seeing my hottub because thats where it happened. i need help and i don't know what to do, also i don't know if i should be her friend still or not, i'm also back with the guy and i'm not sure if thats a mistake or not.
The biggest element of ANY relationship is trust. You can't be friends or romantially involved with anyone if you don't trust them, and to me it sounds like you don't trust Tricia or the guy anymore - and that's perfectly fine. You will need time to get over stuff like that! Even if you had totally forgiven her, things would still be odd between you.
The thing is, by avoiding each other, you and Tricia couldn't sort out all your 'issues' - by avoiding her you've almost avoided the problem and your problem with her and your boyfriend. Just always remember that you NEVER have to be best friends with her again if you don't want to. Maybe 'cool' things a little - reduce your friendship to a hi in the hallway, maybe sitting by her in assembly or something - to give you time to REALLY get over this. Get out there, make new friends or strengthen your friendships with any other friends you already have. You don't need her and you don't owe her a THING - you don't have to be friends with her again on the basis of how close you were before, and the same with your boyfriend. You want to make your judgements on what they've done recently and what they are doing NOW. People change - how good a friend Tricia was back in 6th grade has so relevance to now, so don't feel like you have to be friends with her now because you were friends then.
People grow apart - it happens all the time and it's a very natural thing. If you don't trust Tricia, you can't be friends with her, so just let the two of you grow apart - gradually go round her house less and less, don't gossip with her anymore, find other stuff to do at the weekends when she asks you to go shopping, that kind of thing. If you think you could trust her again, but not just yet, then put your friendship on a halt. Start again, as if you've only just met. Take it very carefully and slowly - start with simply being a 'hi in the hallway' friend and build up to the usual best friends and sleepovers stuff.
I always think that a guy is never worth throwing a friendship away for, but that is Tricia's call - she threw away the trust, not you. Just remember that :) Talk to Tricia a little about how you're still having problems trusting her - if she's a good friend she'll understand, but if not, she's not worth it.
About being back with the guy - if you're not prepared to risk everything for him, you don't want him enough. What I mean by that is you obviously aren't happy in the relationship and you're not sure you should be there - that's NOT a great foundation for a relationship! You need to get out of there because if you're not sure you should be there, then it isn't right.
Hope I helped!

I have a big eating disorder, and no, it's not anorexia.. it's the total oppsite. I'm addicted to food.. :( But mainly 1. Chocolate. I've lost alot of weight, but then I drastically gained it back because I just can't stop eating chocolate. It's weird, I have to have at least a peice of something chocolately every day, or else I don't want to eat because nothing seems appealing. I bought my boyfriend a ton of chocolates for our 1 year anniversary, but he left them at my house and doesn't want to get them untill this upcoming weekend... and my God i've eaten a ton of them. There's at least 300 chocolates in there, and i've eaten like 30. I can't stop eating. I just have completely no will power anymore, and I need some motivation. Someone please help me. I'm running out of solutions.
Hiya,
Try drinking half a glass of water after eating some chocolate. It's the taste of the chocolate that makes you want more, so once you've had one, you'll keep wanting more. Restrict yourself to the one then leave it ten minutes - after drinking water to get rid of the taste. If you are still craving it, try brushing your teeth - I never want to eat stuff after I've brushed my teeth because it always tastes nasty!!
Put these chocolates somewhere you hate going or find it hard to get to, so it's more of an effort to find them. If you don't like cold, hard chocolate, then put them in the fridge.
I hope that helped a little!

I have a big problem! I really need a job but I am scared to death of interviews what do I do! I would be happy to hear some advice!
SMILE! People who smile - at the appropriate time of course - seem much more appealing than those who don't. Just remember that if you don't get the job, you will never see these people again, so it doesn't matetr if you mess up. And if you mess up - 1. they will understand because they see nervous people all the time! 2. They will like you to be a little nervous because it shows you care about the job. 3. there are other jobs out there!
You have to go in there telling yourself that you can do it. Self doubt won't help you at all. I know it's difficult, but there really is nothing else you can do than to get in there and face it. It's all about confidence, smiling, and positive thinking. I.e., 'If I don't do a good enough job for them to hire me, I am definately good enough for them to consider'.
Also, always remember that if your resume/CV is good, then that's a huge starting board to jump up from. They won't mind if you're nervous - really all that matters is that you're friendly and have the relevant experience!
If you are still really nervous, try breathing steadily in through your nose and out through your mouth SLOWLY - hyperventilating won't help! You could also apologise before the interview starts and say sorry if you stumble over your words or seem a little odd or whatever - you're just nervous because this job is something you would really like to do and you want to do well. Take a pen or a stress ball - something you can get a good grip of - in with you and clutch it hard every time you feel nervous.
Take some good luck charms and maybe even some little good luck messages on little scraps of paper in your bag or whatever with you to boost your confidence.
Have a mantra. Repeat over and over to yourself something along the lines of 'it's going to be OK', 'this is going well', 'I can do this', etc etc etc.
Make a list of possible questions they could ask you and get a friend to ask them you in a random order at random points of the day, making you think of a good answer on the spot.
Sorry this advice wasn't so great, but there really isn't much you can do confidence wise if you haven't got it! (I'm exactly the same). Good luck, remember to smile, and make eye contact!

hey
i have to do an essay on romeo and juliet
and the topic is....I have to pick whether I think the relationship is healthy or un-healthy and i was wondering if anyone has any prior knowledge (im leaning more towards unhealthy)...of points I could use for my essay.or quotes on relationships/love? If you could help ...that would be really great!
Thanks so much!!!!=)
Hi!
I just finished studying Romeo and Juliet at school and I got an A for all my projects on it so I'd say I have a pretty good understanding :P
Whether or not you are leaning towards unhealthy, a good essay will discuss both sides of the arguement and rip the other point of view to pieces. For example - you could say, 'Romeo and Juliet made a very rash decision to get married. I believe this was an unhealthy choice in their relationship; if they had waited to get their parents' permission, they wouldn't have had to hide their relationship and may not have died.' Then you would say something along the lines of: 'some people may say this was a healthy decision because the parents would never have come round to the idea of Romeo and Juliet as a couple' but you could shoot this down by saying that the couple are 'star crossed, and the parents would have come round eventually - they are not unreasonable people, as proved by Old Capulet obeying the Price and forbidding Tybalt to fight Romeo at the Capulet ball'. Do you see what I mean? You won't have to do this with all your points but it would be a good idea to do it on around 1/3 to a 1/2 of them - comparison boosts your marks, but too much makes it repetitive.
Some other essay tips -
*Don't start your paragraphs with the same statement or word. Vary it - repetition lowers your grade.
*Don't always say 'I think' - use other options such as 'I believe that' or 'my opinion is'.
*Build quotes into your sentences. For example, 'my opinion is that Romeo and Juliet were 'star crossed lovers' and would therefore have ended up together no matter what their parents said'.
*Try and link your paragraphs. The easiest way to do this is to do them in chronological order - discuss your points in the order they happened in the play. You could also do this by, if you mention Mercutio at the end of one paragraph, put a point that's about him to start the next paragraph. You could also discuss someone's actions (I know this isn't relevant to your particular essay, but it's the best example I could think of - for example, Tybalt killing Mercutio) and then in the next paragraph the consequences (Romeo being banished).
*Put a conclusion at the end. E.g. 'Ultimately I think that Romeo and Juliet had a very unhealthy relationship because...'
Stuff you could include in your essay -
*Fueding families. Your relationship is ALWAYS going to be unhealthy if your boyfriends parents want to kill yours!
*They loved each other a LOT. That's a lot more healthy - and would have lead to a happier life and marriage if they had lived that long
- to marry for love than for money or status.
*Romeo changed his mind very quickly and easily about Rosaline. It was therefore an unhealthy choice to marry Juliet - and on Juliet's behalf, choosing to marry him - when he changes his mind so very quickly. How does she know he won't suddenly go off her?
*Going against the parents wishes. Unhealthy relationship - they had to keep it secret. Healthy relationship - their parents may have made life very difficult for them if they had told them what was going on.
*Everything happened so quick. Rushed relationships are no good in today's society, although they were common in those days. But still, Shakespeare made it very clear that they were moving too fast - i.e. without their parents permission; with parents involved it would have been seen as much more 'advised'.
*They got married. That is a VERY good thing. If they had being 'seeing' each other without marriage on the cards then they probably would have been killed by their parents. No joke. So that was healthy.
*Everything happens in the right order - meet, fall in love, propose marriage, get married, consumate marriage, (lets just skip the 'have very unusual problems' part :P), die together. That was how the ideal relationship was meant to go - 'til death us do part'; it was seen as a really beautiful thing if a married couple died together because their souls could travel to heaven together.
*Relationship drives them to commit suicide. OK, unintentional, but hey...it's the 'unforgivable sin' and a huge crime to Roman Catholics (Romeo and Juliet's religion). That's obviously pretty unhealthy.
*And I just like to point out - I'm not picking faults, but - FunkyHomoSapien said that they had sex then got married. It was actually the other way around :) Plus that's how marriage worked in those days. You find someone attractive - you marry them.
DON'T say -
*They were too young. Paris says to Lord Capulet that 'many younger than she are happy mother's made' - meaning people younger than Juliet were often even parents in those days.
*Any more about fate than that they were star crossed. That's a whole other essay subject.
Hope I helped!! And good luck! Drop one in my inbox or email me on any of the addys on my profile if you ever want any more help!

hi welp im having guy problems. i text this guy that i like alot and we talk a whole bunch. he is one my best friend and i love him. everyone has been coming up to me and telling me that he likes me and i like him too. i dont know what to do because i dont want to make the first move and i have been waiting for him too! help please thanks
ps love the site!
If this guy REALLY likes you, and he's worth being with, he'll be around for the long haul. Leave it a month and then do a little detective work around your friends to see if he still likes you! If he does, then go for it! He may have already made a move by then anyway :) If he doesn't still like you, then I know it'll be hard to get over, but he's not worth it if he can loose interest in you that quickly!
I know it's SO difficult and scary to make the first move, but you'll feel so much better if you do it and get everything out in the open!
Plus, a first move doesn't always have to be kissing his brains out. If you usually go out as a big group, invite him out on his own and flirt a little (look up through your eyelashes, touch his arm every now and then, but ultimately and most importantly, be yourself!), maybe even in a more romantic setting than the usual McDonalds. Maybe a coffee shop? They're hardly romantic but they're great first-date spots so going to one may help him get the hint! You could start with holding hands. Don't kiss straight away - give yourself a day to get used to the idea of best friends turning into boyfriend and girlfriend - you don't want to move too fast or you'll totally mess your head up. Maybe give him a kiss on the cheek goodbye, but you don't wanna confuse yourself - or him - by going suddenly from one relationship to another if he agrees to go out with you. Leave it a day, but it doesn't have to be any more if you don't want it to be :)
However tempting it is, don't get a friend to ask him out for you. He'll respect your honesty and maturity - whatever his answer - if you ask him yourself, or even in a letter.
If you want to keep the spotlight off you while still hinting you like him, ask him how he feels about you - REALLY feels. And if he looks embarassed - like he's going to say he likes you too - then maybe hold his hand or something - it might show him that you like him and it's OK for him to like you.
Whatever you do, don't let this pass you by. It's always better to be rejected than to spend the rest of your life wondering what if. Remember...the only failure you will ever make is when you never really failed because you were too scared to try. Being nervous is good, it means you care about him and it will put him at ease :)
Good luck, and I hope it goes well for you two!

Rach xxx
Does anyone know any really good girl books a 7th grader at the age of 13 would like?
Thanks. I'll rate 5's.
Noughts and Crosses (and it's sequel Knife Edge) by Malorie Blackman, I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith, Speak by Laurie -someone- (sorry, I can't remember her name, but it's something like Henderson?), Witch Child by Celia Rees, the 'Confessions of Georgia Nicholson' books by Louise Rennison (for example, 'Knocked Out by My Nugga-Nuggas', 'Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging' or, 'It's OK, I'm Wearing Really Big Knickers' - they're all hilarious and all part of that series), and the 'Girls' (in love/out late/under pressure/in tears) series by Jaqueline Wilson.

thank you! =)
It is best to learn one language at a time for now, or you will just get confusing for you. Once you have learnt one language however, you'll find it much easier to learn another. I really don't recommend you starting with Japanese though. Try a couple of languages (at least the basics) with the same alphabet as English, such as Italian, Spanish, German or French.
Any of those I've suggested above would be great to learn, but especially French as LOADS of countries are French-speaking! Japanese would be cool to learn but really have little use to you as a nurse (no languages, with perhaps the exception of Latin, would) and only a teeny bit more as a stewardess. However it would look amazing and impressive on your CV or resume, plus useful if you want to visit there some day.
It would be OK to learn online, but it would help you much more to learn in a class (i.e. with pronunciation) or at least buy a CD ROM that you talk into with a microphone and checks your accent (e.g. Smart Start German/Spanish/etc).
There really aren't any tips other than have a lot of enthusiasm for it! Don't get frustrated with it, and try and go at your own pace. Make as many notes as you can and read them after every lesson (or every week if you have a lesson most days). Always go back to the basics - I'm doing hotel reservations in GCSE German, but I had totally forgotten how to talk about the date until we re-visited it in class! If you know the basics (e.g. counting, the names of important places (hotels, toilets, restaurants, public information centres, sights, etc), food, directions) it is so much easier to learn everything else! Maybe reading the language's English to -blah- dictionary every month or so would help you to pick up on new words too.

my parents are divorced and it seems that all my friends have a very happy family. i cant help but feel theres something wrong with me...why cant i have a perfect family and perfect life like everyone else? what have i done wrong!??!
I know it's tough, but that's just life I guess! It happens to some of us, and we just have to deal with it. I went through the exact same thing when my parents divorced - and that was back in '96, when divorces were way less common!
Remember that NONE of your friends have the perfect life and the perfect family - we're all a little dysfunctional in our own way lol! Just because their parents don't live in seperate houses doesn't mean they don't argue.
You've done nothing wrong, honest! It'll hurt a lot for a long time, and you will blame yourself. but it'll fade away over time. You'll get used to it! I know it's not nice that you have to, but...there are benefits to divorce, trust me!
*No more arguements between your rents!
*Two lots of presents and pocket money!
*You get to celebrate your birthday and xmas twice every year.
*The time you spend with the parent you won't be living with will be much better and 'quality time', as they will want to make the absolute most of the time they do see you.
*You're gonna get a whole new room to decorate and spend time in!
*Every time you see your other parent, it'll be like a little holiday from home life.
*You can go round there without brothers and sisters and spend some time with just the two of you!
I hope that helped a little. There's nothing that can really make it better - you'll feel better when you're ready, but until then all you can do is try and look on the bright side :)
If you ever wanna talk, feel free to add me on any of the addys on my profile :)

ok i have had this boyfriend for 3 months almost 4 months now. and you see everyone is like at 5 or 6th months you should have sex. but i dont want to. i mean i'm only 14. i love him alot. alot. alot. but i mean all we do now is really is talk and make out which is enough for me but i mean should i do other stuff? and everyone says that me and my boyfriend are gunna get married. we barly knew each other before we started going out and now were like best friends and always over each others houses. its great. but latly everyone is asking why we dont do stuff. hes kinda shy and i've never done anything like "that" before. sorry its soo long. but please what should i do?
Trust me on this one, don't do it if you're not ready! Completely apart from the risks of STDs and pregnancy (contraception isn't effective 100% of the time!), you're probably not mentally or emotionally ready for this, and you don't want to screw up your first time. It's PERFECTLY fine to have not done anything else yet! I mean...you're 14. You have years ahead of you for this stuff. DON'T be pressured into having sex just because your friends have - you should do what's right for YOU. And you know, chances are, they've all lost their virginity and want to make themselves feel better about it by making you do the same.
All I can say is be grateful that you have such a great boyfriend who isn't pressuring you into sex! Plus, there is loads of other 'sexual' stuff you can do without actually having sex. There is some stuff you can do in between making out and sleeping with people! So don't rush it. You've got it right - you're not ready; don't do it. Simple as. Keep being so sensible and you'll get a long way :)
