xoPandaBabyxo answered Saturday March 12 2005, 11:58 am: Read some of the Chicken soup for the Preteen Soul books because I have two of those and they have amazing stories about stuff that happens to them at your age. It'll make you laugh and possibly cry (it made me cry lol). I also suggest any book by Ben Mikaelson, they're mostly adventure, but I'm sure you'll like them.
MissKassie answered Saturday March 12 2005, 2:45 am: I love reading. I suggest these books for you to read now and any other time. ((Note that some/most of these aren't really "girl" books but are rather for either gender.))
-Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery ((the entire series is a good read))
-Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte ((Serious, heartbreaking romance))
-Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
-Sweet Miss Honeywell's Revenge - Kathryn Reiss ((Horror novel))
-Everworld by K.A. Applegate ((Very interesting fantasy series))
-To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee ((Don't be discouraged by the title, it has nought to do with killing fowl.))
-The Best Little Girl in the World by Levenkron, Steven ((I've yet to read this, but it sounds good, it's about a girl suffering of anorexia nervosa))
-Island of the Blue Dolphins by O'Dell Scott
-Black Mirror by Nancy Werlin
-The Night I Disappeared by Julie Reece Deaver
-The Wish List by Eoin Colfer
-How To Disappear Completely and Never Be Found by Sara Nickerson
-The Series of Unforunate Events series
-Anything by Mary Higgins Clark
-Anything by Anne McCafferey
And I HIGHLY reccommend The Woman in the Wall by Patrice Kindl.
Other than that, I just suggest you go to your school library, figure out what genre you're in the mood for and look for books of that genre and read the summaries on the book to get an idea if you might be interested in it. Happy reading. =3

BeautifulMadness answered Thursday March 10 2005, 1:41 pm: Noughts and Crosses (and it's sequel Knife Edge) by Malorie Blackman, I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith, Speak by Laurie -someone- (sorry, I can't remember her name, but it's something like Henderson?), Witch Child by Celia Rees, the 'Confessions of Georgia Nicholson' books by Louise Rennison (for example, 'Knocked Out by My Nugga-Nuggas', 'Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging' or, 'It's OK, I'm Wearing Really Big Knickers' - they're all hilarious and all part of that series), and the 'Girls' (in love/out late/under pressure/in tears) series by Jaqueline Wilson.

LilSport1992 answered Thursday March 10 2005, 8:50 am: Yes i am in 7th grade and i am 13 too. I have read 19 books so far this school year. The best books i have read are "Double Fudge" and "A Child Called "IT"" A child called it was really sad but it was a good book and it could help you get through problems and realize how bad your life could actually be. Also GOOSEBUMP books are really quick to read and are good. [ LilSport1992's advice column | Ask LilSport1992 A Question ]
