If there was no god, where do we go once were dead? i thought about it and went, what happens our thinking is gone our soul goes nowhere. We're just gone. Everything of us is not there. Think real hard about it and think about how odd taht is. [ shake's advice column | Ask shake A Question ]
gessyka answered Monday March 28 2005, 4:31 pm: This is completely normal. I know how you feel. I used to be like that, only I used to freak out in my mind when I thought about OTHER people dying. It made me sick too.
If you think a therapist will help, then go right ahead. Nothing wrong with that.
It's not abnormal to be afraid of this..or even to be petrefied of this. It's a normal part of life...
How long have you been this petrefied for??
JadedinNowhere answered Monday March 28 2005, 3:06 am: In my opinion.. dying is apart of life. It completes the circle because from you grows new things.. In Mexico they celebrate it as moving forward and into a better eternal life (aka heaven). I'm not afraid of death for the one reason that I know it'll be fate that I die.. That'll it'll be right. If you worry your life away about well then you've just built up this whole life worrying about something that every living thing goes through. Ryan_10 answered Sunday March 27 2005, 7:20 pm: Totaly normal i do it to. Especially when i'm about to sleep. What i do to keep it off my mind is watch T.V before and you'll be thinking about the t.v show so much that it'll take ding off your mind. Or you can just tell your self your not going to die until a really long time and that your a good person ( if you are lol) and that you have nothing to worry about becuase when you die you'll be wit god ------ryan-------- [ Ryan_10's advice column | Ask Ryan_10 A Question ]
passionatewolf answered Sunday March 27 2005, 6:28 pm: It is perfectly normal to be scared of dying. I don't know what your beliefs are, I'm not religious but I am spiritual. That time will come for all of us, and we don't know when, live your life to be the best person you can, and realize that when that time comes, you have been a good person, and in the end you are brought peace. BeautifulMadness answered Sunday March 27 2005, 6:27 pm: Hi hun,
I know EXACTLY how you feel. I'm totally the same - I think about death and my head swims and I go all sick. It's horrible. I really don't have much advice, other than we're (both of us) just gonna have to learn to accept that we are going to die one day (and right now you may feel like you'll never accept it, but one day...you just will. It'll come, and you won't be so scared), so I just wrote this answer so you know you're not alone!!
Try listening to the radio at night as well. Listening to the songs means you're concentrating on them rather than death :)
Blessed Be,

LiSaxOBaBii answered Sunday March 27 2005, 5:50 pm: It's normal. Think of it this way, if you spend all your time worrying, how are you going to have time to enjoy the life that you are given. I wouldn't worry about things like that because as long as you make the best of your life thats all that counts. [ LiSaxOBaBii's advice column | Ask LiSaxOBaBii A Question ]

Brunettesweetheart2468 answered Sunday March 27 2005, 3:55 pm: Yes, this is normal. I have the EXACT same problem. Whenever I go to bed I think of it and get scared. But you can't live without dying. It's just the way it goes. DOn't be afraid of it. It's not painful. And you'll be with God. If you want to see a therapist, that's fine. But remember, death is a fact of life. Everyone goes through it. Enjoy life now.
xcuriousx0 answered Sunday March 27 2005, 3:41 pm: well everyone is scared of something. you cant try and hide from it. the only way to get over a fear is to tackle it. thats what i do atleast. for instance, im deathly afraid of hights...so wen im at a theme park or something i will go on every rollercoaster in site. it helps me get over it and i like the adrenaline rush. The best thing for you to do would be to see a therepyst...i know i know you dont want to but he/she can figure out why you are so scared of death and help you tackle that phobia...you wouldnt have to constantly continue to see the therepist. just find out whats goin on. I mean really, its a small price to pay. you do want to get over it right?
hope i helped even a little

strikeapose answered Sunday March 27 2005, 3:39 pm: Being afraid of death is completely normal. A LOT of people are afraid of death, however, I don't think there's a need to be afraid of it. Death is natural and it happens to everyone. You are in God's eyes and he won't let you die until you are done on this earth. You are perfectly fine. You just need to accept that death happens. PinkPrincess42 answered Sunday March 27 2005, 3:39 pm: Dying is a very scary thing for some people, and its really hard to understand the purpose in it all. When you think about it, it is actually very depressing. I cant really say that there are too many things to get the thoughts out of your head; all I can say is that you should just be very thankful that God has given you life and all the great things in it. Dont dwell on the bad things that happen, look at the good. Your in this world for a reason, and you shouldnt live your life being scared of whats going to happen when you die. Just look foward to the rest of your life and know that great things are going to happen. Your only 16 and there are many more great things to come! Im me to talk! Emerleeann42

Sherry answered Sunday March 27 2005, 3:39 pm: Yeah a lot of people are scared of dying. I used to always worry about getting in a car accident when i was in the car. You need to stop focusing on dying so much..but on living. If you worry about dying all the time, yu wont have a chance to live and do fun things...so put it behind you and live to the fullest. charmed-cherry21 answered Sunday March 27 2005, 3:39 pm: Normally the only time anyone is scared of dying is when they are afraid of going to hell. Now really you aren't old enough to have to worry about dying. But yes anyone of us could put our head on the pillow and never wake up. Once you are positive that you'll go to heaven you will feel better about it and you won't be scared of dying. And to go to heaven you have to go to church, worship and believe in God, and live through him. Just being a good person doesn't get you to heaven. You could be the nicest person in the world but if you don't believe in God you won't make it to heaven. I am not trying to preach to ya or anything I just think that if you read this it might help. It is something my pastor has said to us before in one of his sermons. Also it is perfectly normal. Lots of people are scared of dying.
