you should deffenetly tell your mom, it happens to every girl and it happened to her too. so you should go tell her instead of keeping it from her. you will feel alot better if you do - jiLl and raCh

Of course you should tell your mom. It's no big deal, it happens. My friends tell their moms right away. Go for it, you'll be fine.

You should just straight up tell your mom. This is not an ebarassing thing to tell your mom! She gets it to you know. Just say "Mom, I just got my period for the first time!" Why do you not know? If she is normal, she will be happy for you, but if she is crazy then she will punish you.

Well, I told my mom right away. She was cool about it, as most moms are. I'm sure that your mom knows that it's a totally normal and natural thing. Just say, hey, mom. I got my period today, just thought you'd like to know. Thats what I said. Then my sister got me pads and since I had cramps, she made me a cd mix and bought me a candy bar :D So tell her just like I told ya, it'll be fine.

I don't know what my mom did about preparing me for this. I know we talked a lot about what we wanted to use and what happens. I remember being at our place on the river and yelling for mom from the bathroom. I think we were the only ones in the place.
So just tell her. She's a girl too, she will understand.

Just tell her well I cant force you to tell her because I didnt telll my mom until the 2 time I had had mine because I thought thatg she was gonna go and tell all her friends at work and I would be imbrassed to the fullest extent but she didnt tell and the good thing about telling your mom is because she had it at one point and time or maybe she still does it depends on her age but yeah, I really thing that you should tell your mom because she can really help you through this.
Hope I could HElp!

Your mom should be completly understanding. A good way to bring it up is to ask your mom to take you to the grocery store. You will need to tell her sometime because you cannot go without the stuff you need!!!

Hope I helped!

I remember the 1st time I got my period. I think I was about 13, too. I know how you feel, you feel like crawling in a hole, but telling your mom will make you feel sooo much better, trust me. Just say, Mom, I just got my period, ya got a pad/tampon? She'll probably forget about that 2nd part though. Lol. But no matter how you say it, just tell her, you'll feel better once you do. Good luck!
Hope I helped!
