If your chest is growing and you have boobs then i think you should know if you need a bra.

When you start getting little bumps - or when your boobs start growing, that's when you need a bra.
Also, your mother will probably tell you when she thinks you need a bra.

do you have small boobs? or any boobs at all? if you do then go to the store and ask for a sports bra or a training bra, if you need help with that ask the store clerk (a girl) or your mom... hope i helped!!

Here are some surefire methods to check!
1- Are you female?
2- Are you entering or in puberty?
If you answered YES to both. BUY A BRA.

If your breasts are uncomfortable during day-to-day life - for example, while running, jumping (Okay, maybe your day-to-day life isn't being a gymnast, but you get my point!), etc. You'll also want a bra if your breasts are big enough to be showing jiggle when you walk.
It's important to keep your breasts supported, but mainly it's just up to you. If you feel uncomfortable - physically or emotionally - without a bra, then it's time to get one.

Well if you want to wear one then go for it! But lots of gurls wear bras when they dont need them, its no big! if you wana try a traning bra go for it! an then if you have bigger boobs then you know you need one! When your just starting to grow you ask one of your closest friends, or you could even ask your mom. But do what your comfortable with i guess!! :)

The pencil test! Haha I read this in a Judy Blume book or something. If you can put a pencil between your breasts, and it stays, you need to wear a bra. But even if you don't have much, it's still good to wear one due to chilly rooms and people picking on you. Just find a really comfy one.

Girls now even wear bras when their in elementary school and you could see through their shirts...but thats just training bras, i guess you wear that until you can fit into a real one.

a lot of ppl start wearing a bra b4 they actually have anything of a chest, just start with a sports bra so that you're comfortable and it won't be very noticeable... at first you only really need a bra so that you aren't embarrassed when you start to get speed bumps haah you'll kno when your chest starts developing -- most ppl i kno started wearing sports bras in 5th and 6th grade

When you start to have actual boobs. If your shirts don't really look .. right, I guess, you should be able to tell.

You know when you need a bra when you start showing through your shirt...or whenever you start getting breast. I was one of those girls that thought it was good to wear a bra when I didn't have any breast...now..I'm like...god I hate these things. Hehe!
