14/f. 150lbs. 5'5.
I really need to lose weight. Once school starts (in a week) I can't go to the gym anymore. I ride my bike around the neighborhood, but I've only been doing that for 3 days. I'm going to continue to do that too. My Mom made a deal with me that if i lose 20+ pounds then she would take me on a shopping spree. Shes even starting to help me too. Shes giving me these pills that are supposed to make me less hungry all the time? I take one before breakfast, lunch and dinner. I've been doing this since Wednesday. The pills work, I used to eat a bunch a junk food. But, now I only eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. No snakes inbetween. But once school starts, I'll probably want to eat a snake while I'm doing my homewo...

I read an article in US Weekly about Hilary Duff's dieting techniques. A few years ago she did carry more weight as some of you might remember... but I never considered her "fat." But apparently others did and she did herself.
I weigh 130 pounds and am 5'1, while she was 130 pounds and 5'2 back then. It immediately made me sad... because lately I've been worrying if I am "fat" or "chubby." When I look in the mirror I see someone who certainly isn't rail thin, but not OBESE either. I honestly am not sure.
What are you guys' opinions? If you remember the "older" Hilary Duff during the Lizzie McGuire era, would you consider her fat? Please don't base your judgements on wheth...

Ok so in 5 days i will be on a plane on my way to quebec canada, for 4 days. well i checked out the hotel were staying at and there's a fitness center open 24 hours. the problem is that i get embarrased or self concious working out by myself , how can i make myself not feel like that?
( no one is going to work out with me , dont consider that )

ok this past year has been very streesful for me and i just moved to missouri from new york in the middle of my freshamn year and every since the move i have felt soo stressed. latley i just feel soo fat and none of my old clothes fit right anymore and everywhere i go i just feel so huge. I dont know what to do im trying to lose weight i exercise all the time and it just seems like i keep getting heavier. am i supposed to be gaining weight cz with school and everything i want to look good when we go back...

Do I need to lose weight? I've gotten so self concious this year, and I hate it, but I can't seem to make myself think I'm thin. Heck, I add weight to my scale to encourage myself. I'd always thought I was 104, hah..
But really. I run three miles, three days a week in the mornings. Eating habits are alright, I guess.. No soda, usually. I chew my food 30 times each (I don't know if that helps anything, but it fills me faster) and I drink ALOT of water.
Will this help at all?

I'm turning 15 soon, starting school soon. I never use to care about my weight, and I still dont. Just that I kind of have a big tummy. I look skinny, I am skinny... just with a tummy. I think I have a fast motabollism because the way I eat, I should'nt be the weight I am at. I barely like any fruits or vegetables, I love carbs and I eat a lot of it. It's unhealthy. And I'm a bit worried. I dont know what to do. How can I eat healthy if I dont like any heathly foods? Most of the foods I dont like that are vegetables, I havent even tried. I just have it in my mind that everything tastes bad and its really hard to change that, to try new food. However, there is a good thing I do. ok,the problem is not really to gain weight,although it is in a way,but more to the issue on how to look meaty.i'm quite skinny and just need to gain more meat on my arms,and body
the problem is,i eat a lot but can't seem to gain weight.my friends have looked more bulky and chubbier while i'm still skinny
anyway,first how do i gain weight by growing sideways,cause i don't want a belly,but to grow my body sideways ,if u know what i mean,like chubbier,cause when i eat a lot i just gain weight at my belly so it's like expanding in front but not the side as in my whole body frame,how do i do it?

how do i get in shape for track & field/cross country?
i know i should run, but for how long or what distance?
i'd prefer to know how long though, because i'm never allowed anywhere by myself and i hate when people i know watch me excercise.
usually i run/jog in place with my knees high for about ten minutes. is that an okay time? or should i make it longer?

hey. i am trying out for a highschool field hockey team in a couple weeks and for tryouts we have to run three miles a day. i want to try to get a time around 22-25 minutes. right now i can run a 7.5 minute mile. is there any advice or things i can do or practice to make myself go faster for 3 miles?

Please read all of this. I really do need help and a second opinion, and I have no one to talk to.
I'm 15, 5'1 and 135 pounds. I have a petite frame, and obesity runs in my family. I used to weigh less, and I know it shows that I am heavier than I used to be but when I look in the mirror I don't see myself as fat and obese. I just don't know if others see me that way and I just don't realize it. I went to the doctor three weeks ago when they told me how much I weighed and how tall I was. The nurse said my weight was perfect for my height, but the frantic research that I've done says otherwise. Sometimes I get really down on myself and begin to see it, but I don't know.
