advice
16/f. ok so i have this event tomorrow and i need to be superrr tan. well, at least not neon-white like i am. so anyways, does anyone know any ways to get get about 5-7 shades darker overnight?? i have tanning lotions like jergens, vasaline, etc. can i layer them or apply them numerous times tonight?? any info wud be appriciated..and spray tan arent an option right now..everyplace is closed. thanks!!
I can tell you that getting 5-7 shades darker right now without a spray tan...is not going to happen. Even if you layer all the tanning lotions together, it wouldn't work in one day because those are really gradual and it takes several days to fade in.
whats the best brand of makeup?
I love love love Bare Escentuals-Bare Minerals...you can probably find it in your mall...although it is kind of pricey, It's the only makeup that doesn't make my skin breakout! It's soft and goes on very smoothe for a radiant, natural beauty!
My friend gave me a gift card to abercrombie. Generally I fit way better into their store Abercrombie and Fitch. Abercrombie just has smaller sizes.. because that is the store for younger kids, and I'm pretty skinny so my friend gave me the gift card for there.
Anyways..basically I'm wondering, since technically Abercrombie & Fitch is not the exact same store as Abercrombie, if its even possible for me to use the gift card at abercrombie and fitch? Sine its for abercrombie..
Yes, you can still use it for Abercrombie & Fitch..I've done it. :)
im either a 1 or 3 in hollister jeans or a 2 or 4 in a&f jeans. what size of jeans would i be in the sizes like " 28, 29, etc.?"
No, I don't think you'd be a 25 because when I was a 00 at Abercrombie, and a 0 or 1 at Hollister, I was a 25. Maybe you should try like a 26 or 27. It also depends on the kind of jeans you try on..not all sizes are exactly the same.
yo :]
i need opinions.
kay.. for spring im getting ed hardy sneakers & clog birkenstocks. im trying to not spend alot of money though, so i can get more clothes.
so i found the betula birkenstocks, (for 40.00),
-http://item.express.ebay.com/__Footwear_Betula-Birkenstock-TAUPE-TAN-SUEDE-CLOG-36-Ladies-5_W0QQitemZ150099580114QQihZ005QQptdnZFootwearQQptdiZ199QQcmdZExpressItem
but i hate wearing fakes/ copies. but it would
save me money and they are "made by birkenstock"
what do you guys think? the birkenstocks or betulas?
or where can i get real clog birkenstocks cheaper (not ebay, or amazon)?
So I went through many pairs of clogs before I got my birkenstocks..from walmart to american eagle to betula to birkenstock. Honestly, just go for the real ones. The quality is better and it lasts longer..and IT'S REAL! My betulas broke after a couple months because the staple holding the straps together came out. Birkenstocks usually don't have a lower price than what it's sold for...UNLESS you catch a sale or something. Nordstrom's usually lowers the price of Birkenstocks down to like $70 I think during their half yearly sale..so you could wait, if you want..but other than that, $120 is the price you pay.
any idea where i can get a dress similar to
http://www.toywebb.net/images/spice-girls-logo.jpg
the girl infront wearing like the british flag?
its soo cute! and i live in america..
unless i have to go to england to get it.
thats okay, too.
My friend got a dress similar to that for our Sadies dance at http://mydivascloset.com/britflagspan.html
Hey,
I'm getting my hair done and i wanna know what color to get..so im gonna ask whats hotter? blondes or brunetts?
i like dark haired guyyys:)
but it also depends on the guy b/c some guys are super hot blonde :)
Which hair straightener would be best out of the three:
Sedu.
Chi.
Coloriss [Sp?]
Price isn't a big deal, I`m just looking for quality.
Chi is the best!
If the clothes from abercrombie are so...thin....why do they cost so much?
And I don't want this to sound mean, but why do so many people buy their clothes there, just for them to shrink in the laundry?
abercrombie clothes is GOOD QUALITY. seriously, they last for a longgg time. i'm not even kidding. people buy their clothes because it's cute-they are really durable. I always think..you pay for the quality--and i know A LOT of people hate this store--but it actually isn't so bad. all of my clothes there have NEVER ripped--and the "paper thin" shirts are sheer--and they make those EVERYWHERE. also, ALLLL clothes shrink in the laundry eventually--so idk why you're just applying this to abercrombie.
*ohh yeah thanks for the 3 even though i did answer your question.
Hey
I'd like to know the best straitener that you know of
also what is the best protective spray out there less than $100?
thanks!
The BEST hair straightener out there is CHI. I'm not even kidding--It's the best-It's my life! lol Seriously, CHI is the best.
Also, I'm not sure about sprays; But I use this purple serum called Catwalk (You can get it from Trade Secret//or Tony & Guy//or Ulta) You put it in after you take a shower, blowdry, and ta-daaa....PERFECT, SILKY hair. (It also protects your hair from any kind of heat--blowdryers, straightening irons)
No kidding--It's a Godsend. :)
where can you buy a chi straightener? what is the price?
You can get it at Trade Secret or Ulta (I'm sure there are more places). The price is around $150 depending if you want a regular or a turbo one.
hey
iv heard that if u straighten ur hair it falls out....... is this tru?
No, no! Of course not!
It just gives you dry and damaged hair. :)
Hi everyone,
My hair is somewhat dry and has split ends at the end of my hair. I straighten it almost every day because if I dont I become a giant ball of frizz and hideous waves. Does anyone know of any products that could help me moisturize my hair and conceal split ends? I heard Biosilk is very good. I'm trying to avoid cutting my hair since I want to grow it long for the summer.
Thank you =)
Jacki
I use biosilk AFTER I straighten my hair to make it look smooth and silky...but what you want to use is CATWALK! ((you can get it at Tony&Guy or Trade Secret, etc)) I promise you..It works WONDERS! I used to straighten my hair all all all the timeeee! no kidding..every single day. Because of that, I got split ends on every strand of my hair..but then I started using Catwalk (Fashionista-Smooth & Shine) after I took a shower/then blowdry/then straighten..I got amazinggg results! However if I were you, I would get your split ends trimmed first so you could have a head start when you start using the catwalk (price: around 15 dollars a bottle..but it's worth it!)
*Hope I helped!*
Alot of the time I wish I could me more glamourous; more well-liked; more respected. I guess you could say popular.
Not like the bad popular, I just want more people to like me. I have a bunch of friends but I want to be friends with everyone. Not just a few cliques. I want to be self-confident; A girl all the guys like; a girl that would make a great friend; a girl thats always got plans to be with someone. I hate being alone and unliked. Anyone got any ideas?
First off...even if you're not confident, ACT confident...but not conceited! If you act like you're confident, you will soon BE confident..
I know it sounds confusing but trust me. It works!
Makeup can go a loonnnggg way. If you don't already wear makeup, maybe start wearing like a bit of eyeliner, etc.
Be FRIENDLY! Everyone loves a friendly person :) But don't overdo it.
Compliment the people you want to be friends with; Find something you have in common with them.
I know all of this is easier said than done, but try it.
Here are what some good friends should be like:
*are good at giving compliments without going overboard
*go around with a pleasant expression on their face
*laugh at people's jokes
*are kind
*ask, not demand, to join in
*offer to help others with work or carry things
*invite people to do something
*hang around places where other students are
*are welcoming to new students
*are good at thinking of something interesting to do
*are willing to share
No one wants to be "alone and unliked." I'm sure you aren't...but with a boost of confidence, and a great smile, you'll have 93584976843 in no time! haha..not really..but somewhere close to there. :)
Here's a site on how to make friends OR reconnect with old ones:

I've been looking for a new CHI hair straighter, but I'm having a hard time trying to find one.
I would prefer it would not be one from a "no-name" dealer, or off e-bay.
If any one knows any stores or trusted websites where I would be able to get one would you please tell me where I can find one. Also if you have one do you have any complaints about it?
I LOVE CHI!!! You can get yours at Ulta/Trade Secret/ or order one from your local salon. :)
I am aware that this will not get an award for brevity, but humor me.
Background info: I am someone who is known to have an incredibly individual, crazy, random style. I love uniqueness, and I hate wearing things that I know what 1 million other people are wearing. This goes for anything of the sort, whether it's a studded belt or a short little Hollister skirt- BUT this question is mostly geared towards the latter (to clarify, the clothing that the so-called "pretty people" wear).
I'm really trying to comprehend how people can like clothing like what is sold at Hollister or those type of stores. I guess it's almost humorous since I know the majority of people ask the same question about my outfits a good deal of the time- what could she possibly be thinking with that outfit? But I just don't understand...and I'm honestly trying to be as accepting of others expressions as I wish they would be of my own.
What joy do you get out of wearing these mass manufactured clothes that aren't even worth taking two looks at? They are so BORING and unoriginal and so..lacking in any creativity. Not to mention, those skirts practically show butt cheeks and things I DO NOT WANT TO SEE! EW! Between the false advertising (Feefee's stupid ass coconut shack, etc.) and the atrocious amount of skin shown, I can only wonder what America's "pretty people" are thinking and if they really are so "pretty."
Can someone please help me understand?
It's all about OPINION.
Sometimes, I see people at the mall or at school..and they're wearing something hideous..and I'm thinking, "Oh my God, how can you be wearing something like that?!" I guess I immediately jump to that reaction because it's not something I'm used to..or something that I would wear..However, I tolerate those kind of people..I mean, if they choose to wear something weird, then it's fine with me..It doesn't affect me in any way.
I'm one of those people that wear Abercrombie and Hollister..so I guess you would be the one thinking/criticizing me in your head..but why can't you tolerate it?..It sounds like you're really annoyed of people that wear what's in style (in mine, and in many other's opinion.)
Also, Hollister isn't for "pretty people"...Everything is so overrated..Like there was a question weeks ago..and this person was asking for opinions on the store Abercrombie&Fitch...some people love it..and others HATE it..The people that hate it exaggerate what it really is..Ex: "Bad quality, paper-thin shirts.." They also said that jeans are $120..Some are, but most are like $70ish...They exaggerate it because they don't shop there (probably have never stepped foot in that store) And yes, it is overpriced..but it's worth it.
Your Question is to help you understand why some people choose to wear this type of clothing?..It's all about opinion..If you don't like it, then don't shop there!..Don't pay any attention to the people who wear it..It's not like what they're wearing is going to affect you and the way you dress.
Finally, what you may see is "boring and unoriginal and so..lacking in any creativity", others see it as good quality, cute, and in style.
Ok. I recently bought my first pair of Converse. They are Chuck Taylor Premiere All Star, Low, and I was wondering if I am supposed to wear socks with them. If it helps, I'm a girl.
Yeah, wear socks with them (unless you want your feet to start sweating profusely..lol)..but try wearing the really low ankle socks..because I've seen people wear normal/high socks with them, and it looks really tacky.
ok.....i have curly/wavy hair...but i spend 30 mins. everyday straiting it and i'm afraid im straiting it and its frying my hair!! i like it straitened...but its dull and boring...i wish i could wear it curly...but its just frizzy and i try everythign to make it not frizzy...but i cant really find anything...any ideas?
I ALWAYS straighten my hair..and when I first started (I did it for a straight year---every single day!)..so my hair was pretty much DEAD along with hundreds of split ends..Then, I tried this serum thing from Trade Secret/Tony&Guy called Catwalk..and it works really well..I put it in after I take a shower, blowdry, and then straighten..It makes your hair really really really soft and split end-free.
You could also try scrunching your hair with gel or some other kind of product (ex: Aussie Sprunch Spray--you can get it at your local grocery store/walmart/target, etc) Here is a website that will tell you how to scrunch your hair: http://ezinearticles.com/?Curls-for-Girls---How-to-Scrunch-Your-Hair&id=116647
You can tie your hair up into a messy bun..that's always cute.
Or..did you ever think that your curly/wavy hair was already pretty the way it is?
I once had this body spray that smelled like flowers. It was called "flower power" by the Smiley Calgon collection. They discontinued it and now Im left trying to find a new perfume/body spray. If anyone could tell me of a flowery scent they know of that'd be great. I rate.
Bath&Body Works have some yummy fruity body sprays!
Victoria Secret is good also..I have these AMAZING body sprays called Secret Crush and also Romantic Wish!
Also, Fantasy by Britney Spears is THE BEST! I love it!!!
