Hi everyone,
My hair is somewhat dry and has split ends at the end of my hair. I straighten it almost every day because if I dont I become a giant ball of frizz and hideous waves. Does anyone know of any products that could help me moisturize my hair and conceal split ends? I heard Biosilk is very good. I'm trying to avoid cutting my hair since I want to grow it long for the summer.
STACEESxADVICE answered Sunday February 12 2006, 8:06 pm: YOUR STORY iS JUST LIKE MY HAIR ISSUES!
I too straighten my hair every day, but it's NOT good for your hair. You're damaging it and your hair is going to be extremely dry when you get older, so it's really not good.
Also, because of your dry hair, you should begin to use special shampoo. You don't have to spend a load of money, but next time you go to the salon, pick out a shampoo & conditioner for "Dry and Damaged Hair". There are a variety of shampoos for all hair types and that kind should add moisture to your hair.

((you can get it at Tony&Guy or Trade Secret, etc)) I promise you..It works WONDERS! I used to straighten my hair all all all the timeeee! no kidding..every single day. Because of that, I got split ends on every strand of my hair..but then I started using Catwalk (Fashionista-Smooth & Shine) after I took a shower/then blowdry/then straighten..I got amazinggg results! However if I were you, I would get your split ends trimmed first so you could have a head start when you start using the catwalk (price: around 15 dollars a bottle..but it's worth it!)
Juicygirl answered Saturday February 11 2006, 11:23 pm: I agree with the person below, Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Solution is perfect if you use a straightener. After you shower, pump once in your hand, and smooth over hair.
1. Makes your hair dry faster
2. Helps straighten out your hair
3. Repairs damage done by straighteners
I used to straighten for about a year so my hair took a lot of damage from it. My previous hair stylist recommended it to me and it's truly a miracle serum. I got it for $16 at a hair salon so I'm sure you'll can get it for cheaper elsewhere. [ Juicygirl's advice column | Ask Juicygirl A Question ]
Showtime answered Saturday February 11 2006, 11:07 pm: try paul mitchel...that's what I use. also shampoo with cold water (if not the whole time, then at least at the very end of your wash). and don't use herbal essence, it will cause your hair to burn if you use a hairdryer or straightener...alternate shampoos/conditioners after you finish your bottles. Also if you just trim your hair a little it helps with split ends but doesn't take too much off. [ elliajean1214's advice column | Ask elliajean1214 A Question ]
