I am 14 and a female. There is a guy at school that I think is really cute. We both have history together and I will sometimes see him looking at me. I want to talk to him so bad, but I have never said anything to him before. What should I do?

So my cousin had me meet this guy via phone and we hit it off really well. He's funny and easy to talk to. I started to like him and Im pretty sure it was mutual. We planned to meet up and I was really excited until I learned a little more about him. He's a metal head. lol He's got the long hair and listens to that kind of crazy music. We dont have a lot in common and definately not the same type of friends. He's my complete opposite. So the question.. Which would be worse > To date him and be labeled as "desperate" because he's not exactly my type.. Or not date him and be called shallow because he looks different than what I normally go for?

Date him! Definitaley! I mean, who cares what other people think? Let them ... it'll give 'em something to do. You shouldn't have to worry about other people and what they have to say. If YOU have a good feeling about it, then I don't see anything wrong ith it. the least you could do it give the poor guy a chance. thats wouldn't be nice, just ditchingy him. If you feel there is something there, then there IS. I used to be the same way, I wouldn't date certain types of guys because I was worried about what other people had to say but I learned the hard way ... and I regret it because now I don't have a second chance. Remember don't judge a buok by its cover, lol. I think you should most definitaley go for it, and if it doesn;t work out, you can call it quits. Give him a chance! ok, i like this guy, and he's my friend, but we're not all that close. he's only in one of my classes, but i talk to him all the time on aim. he was just a friend, but now im starting to like him. i know he only thinks of me as a friend, and he has a girlfriend, or he likes someone, and he has all these other friends that are girls too. what can i do to get him to like me? i talk to him all the time on aim, but hardly ever in school.

Hmm. Well maybe you should first get to know him a little bit better, I mean if the only time you guys really talk is after school on AIM, then thats not very good, lol. I know how it feels, falling for your friend. Its good in one way, but bad in other ... do you know for sure he has a girlfriend? If he does, trust me, you don't want to get inbetween that. Wait till they are over, cause I mean put yourself in the girls' shoes. But if he doesn't have a girlfriend and he only likes someone. Find out who. Just simply ask him, be like just out of curiousity I was wondering if you like anyone? Trust me, it'll be easier said then done. He has friends that are girls, yeah, that can be pretty nerve-wrecking for you but remember they're only friends, or you can ask him for yourself. Say someone else wanted to know if you're to shy to tell him you wanna know. You can't FORCE someone to like you, but you can help them fall for you. Okay lets start my saying im 13 years old. I am dating a 17 year old. My parents along with his parents think it's a bad idea because of the age difference. I havent been able to get ahold of him and talk to him about it. I also like some one who is closer to my age. Last year when I was in the sixth grade (now I'm in 7th and I'm 13) there was these guys (3 guys, all one year older than me) on the bus that always annoyed me. This year (the last day before winter break) they cornered me on the bus when all of my friends left and TODD's best friend DAN told me that TODD liked me right in front of him. Then DAN started picking on me.. Over winter break I had this dream about DAN and I kissing on the bus (he just went 100% to me) and it's been haunting me ever since. Now because of that dream, I think I actually like DAN. DAN wanted to sit next to me on the bus this morning (i had to let him) and TODD sat next to me on the bus in the afternoon (he and dan fought for a while). haha, i can totally relate! it sucks when you have choices, but i see you're lost. your friends shouldn't hook you up with a guy that you dont like and some dream shouldn't all of a sudden tell you to go out with the guy. no problem! go to your local mall, they got nice (& CHEAP) dresses at Windsor, Deb, Marshall's, Kohl's, JC Penny - they're a loton clearance all the time. BTW, i was just looking at some. I'm not sure, if you will like them, but they're REALLY inexpensive. Well see heres the deal. I met this girl online and we really hit it off. I had always been against liking people long distance but that seems to have been blinded by the presence of this girl.
