A few thoughts I've gathered from my teenage years (and being on this site for most of them!):

2. Dress to fit your body type, and buy the size that fits. If you're a size 6, squeezing into a 4 won't make you look skinnier. It makes you look fat when you aren't.
3. You will never regret waiting to lose your virginity.

Is there any effective way of losing weight without exercising? I really don't have time with my schedule.
Unless you're Jack Bauer, I'm fairly certain you can find 20-30 minutes a day to exercise.
Impossible, you say? Well, you're on the computer as we speak, right? Spend that time exercising instead! Run up and down a flight of stairs. Do jumping jacks. Pilates. Squats. Walk on a treadmill. Something.
Think of an activity in your schedule that you don't HAVE to do (homework is something you DO have to do haha). Something like half-watching TRL for an hour after school eating a bag of chips. Change that to eating a healthy snack, exercising for a half hour, and watching the top three videos. Something like that makes a significant difference over time.
If you truly don't have the time, you're doing too much in a day and you're going to wear yourself out.
Combine exercise with a healthy, balanced diet. And you're golden.

There's one of those at Water Country (in New Hampshire) and other water parks I'm sure.
The one I've been on ended with just a flat section of slide, so you can slow to a stop.
It's an almost complete vertical drop. It's exhilirating, its scary, and it hurts a little if you go down at the wrong angle and tense up too much.
Also, make sure you don't lose your bathing suit, like the guy behind me on the ride did. His friends took it when it flew in the air and threw it over a fence. And he had to go get it, completely naked.
Hey I have so many cases of skin issues and every question I asked on here there's always a "go see a dermatoligist".
I want to but isn't that like having another doctor and thne I'd have to pay? I don't have a lot of money and I live with my dad so it's kinda embarrassing bringing him with me if I got an appointment. And I don't know where to find one. Money is a serious issue for me!
A regular doctor can often diagnose skin conditions such as acne vulgaris, exczema, melanomas, et cetera. If the expertise of a dermatologist is absolutely necessary (i.e. they have sufficient cause to believe that you're developing skin cancer) there's many hospitals/clinics that will absorb the cost of your treatment if it's potentially deadly.
Also, does your high school have a school based health center? Not many do but they're becoming more common. Ask your school nurse about nearby hospitals/clinics. She'll know more than me.
If your dad has insurance though work, you could probably be added to his coverage (if you aren't already). With the plan my parents have, I can see a dermatologist whenever my doctor deems necessary (usually just follow-ups) for a Co-Pay of $15-20.
Ask your dad about insurance/co-pays, whatever. It's your health we're talking about here. You shouldn't be denied access to doctors because of financial reasons.
Lastly, your dad can always wait in the waiting room when you go in for an appointment, and there's 100% doctor-patient confidentiality. So don't worry about it.

ok there is this amazing girl at my school. i dated her last year, and now i am a freshman in highschool. while we were going out, i was to shy to really do anything. i wanted to kiss her so bad but i just couldnt find the strength to actually make my move. we broke up later because she did not like me anymore. we went out for about 3 weeks. before that we were really good friends, but now its like we dont talk at all anymore, part of the reason being we dont have any classes together. ever since we broke up though, its weird, it seemed like i wanted her more and more every day. i havnt stopped thinking about her every day and it has been almost a year now. i still see her almost everyday, because i go to a small private school. anyway, i have just learned that she is leaving my school, to go to another because she wants a change of things. i think i love her and i dont want her to leave, but i am too shy to step up and admit to her my feelings, not that it would change anything, but i just feel like she should know, before she goes that someone is thinking of her. i also feel that that might make things even more aukward between us, and i am really shy when it comes to this stuff. i dont know i was thinking of just going and telling her, but i dont know there is something just keeping me from doing that. maybe a note or something?
If you can't tell her to her face, a handwritten note is the way to go. Honestly, telling her is the best thing you can do right now. If you don't, you'll regret it for the rest of your life, wondering "What if...". She's leaving the school anyways, so if worst comes to worst & she laughs in your face, you won't have to deal with seeing her constantly.
There's always the possibility she still has feelings for you. This is less likely because she broke up with you, but it's possible. You haven't seen each other in awhile, and who knows? She may be thinking the same thing about you, asking herself the same questions. The only way you're going to know for sure is to tell her how you feel about her. If she doesn't reciprocate these feelings, it's not the end if the world. Keep in touch when she leaves- she'll likely want to know what's going in the school she's left behind. Plus, you'll likely gain a close friend in the process. Either way, you win.

Along my peach fuzz is always red. For three years i've always had pimples there and then they're like gone now but it's always red there and now it's like a have a red moustache! And its been 3 years! help!
If they're not showing significalt signs of fading, a dermatologist can refer you to a specialist who can fade them with laser treatments. They're expensive ($250 a session) but they work for nearly everyone. Another downside- they're painful.
Another less expensive (and painful) route would be to use a scar-fading kit. I know Neutrogena and Clearasil both have them. You can buy them anywhere. And they won't set you back more than $25-30 or so.
A third option is to moisturize often (to reduce irritation) and, if it doesn't burn, use a salicylic acid acne spot treatment on your scars. I've heard it helps reduce scarring and fades them faster. Don't know if it's all in my head, but it's seemed to work for me. Worth a shot, right?
Also, a dab of foundation or concealer, whatever works better for your skin, can help blend in scars with the rest of your face & make them look more even.
Lastly, keep in mind that this is something you notice a LOT more than other people do. Nearly everyone has acne at some point. And most of those people will end up with scars. It's something a lot of us have to deal with and it's not that big of a problem.

my skin gets irritated really easily! Like I was blow drying my banks and thne i was working on every where else and when I was done I tied my hair up and my whole for head was red!
And I ate like all these stuff that's good for your skin for my student card and my face was clear and every thing and thne right nefore my picture got tooken, in the mirror I could see a lil red area beside my mouth!

Dermatologists are great. Visit one at least once. They can determine if you're reacting to, say, a hair product or a food. If you recnetly tried a new hairspray or something, that might be your problem right there.
As for at-home remedies, I recommend gentle cleansers. Try to get a product without anything funky.. even saluicyclic acid could irritate your skin. St. Ives Apricot Cleanser is nice. It moisturizes and balances my skin. Plus, it's only around $3 at WalMart/Target. So it's worth a try.
Cetaphil also has good cleansers for those with extremely sensitive skin (which, from how you describe yourself, is likely what you have). They tend to run a little more expensive (around $10-$15) so maybe get a trial size if you can find one first. But that's still a lot cheaper than a trip to the derm. My aunt uses Cetaphil with great results, and she's allergic to EVERYTHING (I'm talking deadly broccoli and cantaloupe allergies here). So I'm sure it'll work for you.
I don't know how dry your skin is. But a good moisturizer will help a lot regardless of your skin type. Also, use a sunscreen. I recommend Eucerin Original Cream (it comes in a tub) This stuff was a godsend when my excema got really bad a couple years back. Also, something less expensive (with built-in SPF) is Clean and Clear Morning Glow Moisturizer. Or anything similar to it. C&C has I think 4 different moisturizers like that one. They work well & are oil-free.

Can anyone name a sun block that doesn't have a scent and is very cheap?
I never wear sun block or sun lotion cuz they smell bad but now I need to because I heard that if you dont wear some on your face then it's sorta like cooking cheese on a frying pan wear it starts to boil up and you get massive pimples!
Excessive sun exposure can cause pimples because the sun dries out your skin, causing it to produce more oil. More oil= more clogged pores = more zits. Hooray!
I really strongly recommend that you start wearing sunscreen. Ignore the smell. It fades quickly, and you'll be saving yourself from premature skin aging, wrinkles, and the risk of skin cancer. BTW, if you DO get melanomas.. I can tell you form personal experience that getting a mole removed is fun at first, but painful for days afterward. And you'll have a not-so-attractive scar for the rest of your life. Not fun.
So, for sunscreens/sunblocks, I recommend:
1. Neutrogena UltraSheer Dry-Touch Sunblock. I use this one on my face for a number of reasons. It's lightly scented (and unfortunately the scent goes away fast) and doesn't clog my pores. It was recommended to me personally by a dermatologist. SPF 30&45($9.99 for 3oz, but since it's for oyu face it lasts for a long time)
2. Clean and Clear Morning Glow Moisturizer. This one would probably be best for you. It doesn't have that typical sunscreen-ey smell. It's almost citrusey... and very light. Bonus: it moisturizes (duh) and has skin brighteners! SPF 15 ($6.99 for 4oz)
3. Anything Coppertone, for the rest of your body. "Sport" products last a bit longer (they're more sweatproof) so you'll have to reapply less often. I've found that Coppertone doesn't ever smell bad, and they're less expensive than most. ($9.99 for a big bottle)
Many cosmetics now have sun protection built in. Use them WITH sunscreen, not as a replacement. Why? They wear off, and so will the protection from the sun. There's nothing wrong with them though, so don't be afraid to sweep on some SPF bronzing powder before hitting the beach!

I got mine at a plain ol' bookstore. Granted, this wasn't your average Borders, since it had 3 whole aisles of astrology, tarot card readings, and dream interpretation. But any bookstore should have books on the subject.

I have "10,000 Dreams Interpreted" and "Simply Dreams". If you go to an actual store and browse ask someone there what section to look under, since it changes from store to store. Also, bigger stores are more likely to have a wide selection of spirituality/occult/etc. By looking at a store as opposed to only online, you can find what books have the information you're looking for.
For example, some books focus more on individual objects you dream about, while some shift the focus to events.

Maybe I'm just a person who feels this way, but when I give advice, half the people don't even respond to me, like give me a rating. Of course I know it's their decision to rate, but I really don't appreciate the fact that I spend a good amount of time answering a question, and the person doesn't rate me. Does anybody else feel this way?
Sure it's annoying, but it's not something I let ruin my day. It's not that big of a deal. Sometimes you have to wait a few days for a rating too.

okay so a few months ago i noticed that i had stretchmarks on my boobs. i thought they would go away after a while, but it's 6 months later and THEY'RE STILL NOT GONE! i've told my mom about them and she says that they will go away over time, but i want them to go away as soon as possible. i don't know what to do about them. they are really dark and make me self-concious. cause when we're changing in the locker room for gym, you can see them cause they like go above my bra. any help?

Stretch marks never really "go away". They'll almost always fade to being nearly invisible but they won't disappear completely.
Some people swear by cocoa butter; others say it doesn't do anything at all. Try it and see if it works for you. In the meantime, don't worry about them so much. Nearly everyone has them.

OK, well, I have this odd problem where when I do my homework, it's pretty hard for me to concentrate. If I hear the tiniest noise, I can't work at all. My parents have gave me earplugs, but I feel totally dorky and that there must be another way. Any ideas?
P.S. My family is LOUD, and I can't get them to be quiet.

Earplugs do work. Give them a chance, if you haven't already.
Is there any room in the house you can escape to? Or maybe you could sit outside in the backyard or on the porch? Also, go to a library. Preferably in a room besides the children's room. But they're a lot quieter, and less distracting. Unless you're like me and being surrounded by books is a distraction.. but that's another story.
Try investing in some good headphones. Noise-canceling ones help. But maybe if you had a comfortable pair that you could listen to music on quietly, it's help fade out the noise of your family/cars outside/falling pins. It helps for me. If you're the type to get distracted by listening to lyrics (like a lot of people) try classical. It's not as dorky as it sounds. Might I suggest the Star Wars soundtracks? (Okay, so maybe it's a little dorky! But they ARE good background music.)

does anybody have a really GOODDD chocolate chip cookie recipe? i know that i could just google it and get a mediocre (sp?) recipe, but i want a SUPER good recipe, i'm gonna make some for my boyfriend for our 1 year.
I always use the classic Toll House recipe, with a little less chocolate, no nuts (since a lot of people in my family can't eat them, and I just like them better without it) I also put in extra vanilla.
-2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
-1 teaspoon baking soda
-1 teaspoon salt
-1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
-3/4 cup granulated sugar
-3/4 cup packed brown sugar
-2 teaspoons vanilla extract
-2 large eggs
-1 cup chocolate chips
Don't grease the pan before you put them in the oven. If you're worried about them sticking, use something like parchment paper on each cookie sheet.
If you roll the dough into balls (about the size of a ping ping ball, or a little smaller) the cookies come out *almost* perfectly round and bake at the same rate.
Lastly, if you bake them so they look a little underbaked in the center, they come out extra chewy =) Yummm.

Have you considered accessories? Even the most subtle gold jewelry, like a gold chain or small stud earrings, can add a lot to any outfit. I don't know how wild you want jewelry to get, but you could try a brightly colored beaded necklace with a plain sweater, or long, dangly earrings.
Also, try cute shoes! Cute doesn't always equal uncomfortable heels.. there's plenty of nice, fashionable flats these days.

I use it in addition to a good foundation, like Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse, to blend it in flawlessly.

you know when people suck helium and talk and they have like this funyn cip munk voice? you you suck it and talk as much as you can til the helium is gone or do you swallow it?
Usually you inhale it. So that is pretty much swallowing. It wears off rather quickly most of the time.
FYI, this isn't exactly an intelligent thing to do. You're depriving yourself of oxygen by doing so.
