I haven't got my period yet. Im kinda scared about getting it. What if im in school? what if im in the middle of class and i have to get up and someone sees? what are some signs when i get it differnt from just an itch. Gimmie info

i was in your position not too long ago. i was the last one to get it of all my friends so i was scared to death...my advice: dont even worry about it. the first time you get it, its barely enough to tell you have it and i'm not joking! i couldnt tell until i went to the bathroom then i realized after... its not a lot and the chances of it going through are slim unless you go comando in a white skirt. chill out, you will know and life will be good. if it makes you more comfortable, keep a liner in your bookbag.

I'm in this advanced choir. There's this new girl who just joined. She's 13, like me, only she's a grade ahead of me (I'm a 7th grader). I have to admit, she's pretty good. Everyone knows that she's got this beautiful high voice, a little like Sarah Brightman's. She's a bitch! She's always flaunting her voice. During camp, we all had to watch this documentary on opera, and she goes "I bet I could sing opera..." Jesus! She's only 13, right?!!!! She had to share a bunk with me. She's was a disgusting bunk mate. She was always spilling her milk all over my papers, bringing food into the dorm, not eating it, and soon there would be moldy peaches everywhere. She can NEVER stop talking about herself. It's always me, me, me, me, me, my voice, my hair, and my boyfriend. Once she was talking about herself and says "my friend and I were watching the Phantom of the Opera and I could sing that really high note at the end of the song 'The Phantom of the Opera.' " She sings the note and asks "Can you sing it?" So I tried, and of course I couldn't, because I'm not even a soprano, and she goes "ha-ha! i can sing the high E and you're all strained up. That's hilarious..." and goes off into another monologue about herself. Now I have to sit on the risers right next to her, and she's getting worse. She's also a brownnoser. She's always sucking up to our choir teacher, and so on...what can I do to put up with her? I don't want anyone to say "talk to her about it." It's not like she's my friend or anything.

yuck i think i wanna go jump her right now. all you can do is ignore her and be like "good for you, do you want a cookie?" that should shut her up. just reading this got me pissed off at her....let her think all she wants. sopranos can be snobby (i sing both... you can tell when i sing soprano!) and half the time the directors are just as sick of them as you are! just have fun with other people...let her go on as a stuck up loner.

I'm 13 and about to audition for a musical. We're supposed to prepare a song and a monologue. I've gone through an array of broadway songs. Finally, I listened to "Wishing You Were Somehow Hear Again" from the Phantom of the Opera. It's beautiful! But before I get the sheet music, I need to know; is it a difficult piece? Vocally demanding? I'm in a very advanced chorus, which means that I can sing a lot, but there's no real way of telling whether this song is too overreaching or not just by listening, you know? If anyone has had any experience with this piece, could I have a few tips?

And PLEASE do not say "go see a vocal teacher/go take a voice lesson/idk lol hope i helped." Even though I'm in an advanced chorus, I can't afford a voice lesson. I know that puts me at a disadvantage, but that's JUST LIFE.

awww i love that song! its not toooo vocally demanding but it is challenging. if your a soprano and can pull off the opera stuff, you should be fine, however, i dont really recommend something like that for a musical. theres an opera/classical voice and a broadway voice. go for something from wicked of something like that. thats just my opinion...i don't take audtions seriously tho. final decision: go for it... its a great piece! goodluck!

18/f. I have a very close guy-friend. Occasionally when he comes over to mine (or I go to his), and he (or I) can't get home (e.g. he comes to my place on his bike, I don't like him to ride home at 3am, it's not too safe around here) then he stays over. He'll sleep in my (single) bed, and we usually end up snuggled up to close each other (e.g. both lying on our sides facing the same way with his arm around me).
My question is - is this ok for our relationship? - I don't want to date him, I don't want our friendship to turn into something further. We are both single. Is it ok to sleep together like this, or will it damage our friendship in the long run?

well, you are 18 and its not uncommon. its fine if you are comfortable with it... it might be worse f you make him get on the couch or something like just randomly... its good that you guys are really close but not with benefits or anything. i admire that.

There is this guy that I am IN LOVE with. The problem is, is that he is my Ex. He looks 'SORTA' like Billie Joe Armstrong and this guy that I used to like. Me and him last night were talking at one his ballgames and I said "Kody, Fuck You" But I was just joking though and he knew it. Then he said "Yeah I know you do. But 'we' can't here" And I was about to die. And I said "hahahaha Very Funny Kody." Cause I knew he was joking. There is times were he will walk me to the bus and be as happy as anything. But then theirs times when he never talks to me. Like tonight at another ballgame. He saw me sitting with another guy, Jay and I think he 'sorta' got mamd and left after his game. He always stares at me and also tonight. I was cryin cause my cat died and he was like "Whats wrong?" and I said "My cat died" andn he said "Well uh.. How did it die?" and I told him and he said "well its better off now". I don't know whats up with him. When my friend the other day said "she likes KODY!" he turned around and smiled and never said anything.... Please HELP!!!

i guess its one of those stages in the relationship where your just getting to know each other more. it would really help if you gave your age but ill do my best. he's the typical 'insensative' guy when it comes to your cat.. not a huge deal...hes just like that. i think he might like you (he probably does) but first you guys have to be friends and understand each other before you get together if you want this to be a real relationship. have him call you or talk to him on IM and just get to know more about each other. it could happen...

Okay, so I have a question about my hair. I want to put lots of blond and red streaks in my hair and I also want to get it trimmed about 3 inches. My problem is the last time I got my hair done with the streaks (without the trim) they charged me 115 dollars!!! Well at that price I could only afford to get my hair done once a year. I want to touch up my roots and get all the split ends cut off but don't want to spend a ton of money. I also don't want to do it myself or go to the hair school cause they always wreck my hair.
Does anyone know of any cheap hair salons? We have a magic cuts are they any good?

well you could try great clips if you have one near you to get your hair cut...its like $12 and its pretty good. i dont know about the color tho, sorry.

this is gonna be lengthy. i'm a sophomore and i made varsity field hockey this year along with another sophomore. she played mid and i play forward. when she played mid we were pretty evenly talented. then one day coach moved her to forward and thats where my year went down the toliet. she played 50 minutes/60 and i was lucky to even get in the game for 2 minutes and mainly just played JV. i was stressed the whole season about this and the whole situation. so now the seasons over so my stress is gone until i have to start thinking about next season. oh wait. thats now because coach recommended us for a special winter league and shes so excited to do it and i was to but i dont know if i can becuase i have winter track. if she does it and i dont shell get better and be coaches favorite and all of that. but winter track is important to me and i love it. im not going to quit it for this. but if i do both my grades will fall and ill be stressed and itll be a tight schedule. what should i do? ive cried over this too long.

is there spring track? at my high school, its fall field hockey and spring track so if there is then do winter league then do track in the spring. don't try doing both. do whatever you want the most. if i had to choose, i would do field hockey.

Every time I put on my liquid foundation it ends up looking caked and dryed out. Then it ends up wearing off an hour later. Anyways to fix this ?

i put powder over mine.....a good thing to do is spray hairspray over your make up and let it dry before you open your eyes. thats what i did before a dance and it stayed put all night.

I'm probably gonna be getting braces soon and I was wondering some things about them. Do they hurt a lot? I know most of my friends said that they normally only hurt when you first get them & then when they tighten your wires. Do they really make kissing another person with braces harder or anything? Um, and just tell me whatever advice you have when having braces or whatever you know about them from your own personal experience, haha. Thanks!

well i have a story about the kissing part of it. my guy friend has them and he never had a problem kissing his gf but recently he accidently cut her lip so be careful! and yeah, i heard they do hurt.

I've recently swithced types of music from gheotto to rock/emo/ skater. I'm a girl and I was wondering how I could dress skater. And what kind of make-up to use maybe some pictures. I dont want to look goth just ummmmm... punk I quess.

labels are NOT cool. ever. emo, skater, and punk are 3 different things. don't "become" this to fit in. but if you must to feel good about yourself, check out hot topic (they have some "skater" things there and skate shops for the goods. ask the person that works there for makeup stuff...theyll show you. but if all else fails, wear eyeliner.

Last year this guy Rich and I were friends and he likes me but i had a boyfriend. And he openly said how mad he was and that he liked me (jokingly he wasn't like ARRRG mad) and well i saw him once over the summer n it was awesome. but he switched school so i never saw/talked to him. now he's back and im single. problem is he wears eyeliner im kewl with that but a lot of my friends will bitch about that but w/e. but he also smokes pot n cigs. like i dont care n i will never its just it makes me unhappy he does that. but like now i make sure i see him and like he is always like Give me a hug! like old times. and i really think i like him. but my mom said i couldnt date him. should i just like "date" him at school and ease my mom into it, or stay friends with this guy? how can i see if he likes me too w/o saying yo dude ya like me still? ... sorry that wasn't very quick :( thanks so much to people who answer it though!

just stay friends for a while... don't rush into it! i dated a guy my mom didn't like and i never told her but she gave me hell about how we shouldnt date even though i have no clue how she found out. later if you find out he likes you and you still like him then go with it. hope that helps..

my friend has problems at home she needs to get out because shes being treated bad because of an ex boyfriend whatare the consencuences if she leaves to my house with the policies

well, she may not be welcome in her house once she leaves even if things get better, your parents might not want to take her in (even if they love her to death...it happens with relatives all the time!) since their not legal guardians, they might notbe able to sign papers for her and stuff but i'm not sure on the laws for that. goodluck dear!
