so im going to a co-ed sleepover for new years. and we did the same thing for homecoming, it was fun but this time around i want it to be awesome. any ideas for things to do? im open to ANY suggestions. thank you!!!

I got invited to my friend's aunt's beach house in Mexico for a week. My parents have already said they highly doubt they are going to let me go.

How can I convince them to let me go ? The wouldn't let me go to Washington with my friend either but this beautiful beach in Mexico is a once in a life time chance, and they let my brother go to London with his girlfriend with no parents!

- my dad works for an airline so theres no flight fee.
- I won't have to pay for a room fee
- I'll be with several adults including her parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents
- We'll be flying into Phenoix and driving down to mexico so theres no problem in coustoms.
- this is a once in a life time chance
- I could get a nice tan =]
- my parents could be alone with no kids for a few days
- it'll be over the break so Im not missing any school.


My dad practicly said yes then my mom got a hold of him and now he's on her side. And her side is making me stay home. My mom has a bad impression of this girl and her family and I can't convice her that they are good people! She thinks they change there mind to much and I'm gonna be left in some strange airport in Mexico. I need some help on how to convice my parents!

Take it from the person who has been to Mexico at least 20 times in her lifetime...I can see your parent's concern. First of all, no matter how you cross the border, there will be customs issues. I usually cross from Arizona and things can get not-so-pretty even with having both my parents with me. When I went with just my mom a few years back, my dad had to sign some kind of paper (like a letter of consent) stating that my mom is on vacation...not trying to take me away and get custody the wrong way. Without your parents there, theres more of a reason for them to question you...you do NOT want to be stopped at the border to be checked or questioned. It sucks! Also, when I go, I'm not allowed to bring friends. You never mentioned you age but anyway, there will be other oppertunities for you to travel in Mexico. if your dad works for an airline then it should be no problem. Your parents have the final say and you can't get over the border without them loving the plan/people you are going with...maybe wait until you can go with your family instead. I know it's probably not what you wanted to hear but just giving you some backround... the thing you're going through happens to everyone. take care.

I really want to start modeling but I don't know how to start. I'm 5'5, have an hour glass figure, wear a size 5 jeans (if that helps?), I have light brown hair (it's cut in a "unique" but long style), dark brown (almost black) eyes, medium tan, round/squarish face, and if I were stereotyped I would be called "punk". Could I be a model? or should I just give up?

Just tell me in your answer if you need more information.

russianspy seems to know what he's talking about... thing is everyone wants to be a model. my friend got "scouted" but she has to pay a ton of money to even start with risk of never actually getting a job. punk isn't exactly model-type but that might bring you some attention. hot topic needs models but i think you have to be a certain age (look on their website) goodluck with whatever you choose to do!

oh goodness. if a bath doesn't work try moving around or light jogging around your house. that's what i do.. oh and take some motrin and drink lots of water and get sleep!

you are fine... a lot of people i know got theres in 6th grade but a lot also got it freshman year. i personally was bigger than most of my friends and i didnt get it till way later. you don't want it...but if you dont have it but the time you are 16-17, then you have a problem.

okay well my mom just bought crest white strips and i was wondering do they work better on dirty or clean teeth? my mom said she heard they work better on dirty but i wasnt sure

well i've used them twice and i put them on after brushing because i'd ride the bus after and didnt have time to brush after. the only reason its not better is because it makes your teeth really sensative.

I am completely confused about what I am. In regards to religion. I know i am christian, but I know nothing about it. I have never read the bible..and I know that most of the stuff in it I don't truly believe. And does God look down upon me for choosing not to believe parts of the bible?

no, honestly, my "creed" is completely different than that actual catholic creed. you don't need to read the bible...sometimes the more you know, the more you are appalled. no, God doesn't look down on you for that...some people at your parish will look down on you because they're sinners but God understands. everyone changes so maybe one day you will get into the groove and read it.

if i get my boyfriend a 256MB mp3 player..how many songs can he fit on it?
he doesn't need much because he doesn't download music..so it would be pretty much for him to transfer his cds to so he can listen to music while he works out or at the bus stop and such.

i don't think you can get a decnt mp3 for $40. it just doesn't happen. i think even the 156mb are about 90 and up. if you can get your hands on one for $40 tho, by all means, go for it!

No, that's just some kind of majority. a lot of kids i know whos parents do these things don't. it's still a decision you make, not one they make for you. my dad's mom smoked ciggs and he never did...i can think of at least 10 more cases where it doesn't apply so don't do drugs.. its not worth it.
