Hey Everyone :) I'm Kate and a level 2 mod on here. I've had this account since July 2004, so I've been on here since I was 13! Wow ... crazy for me to think how long ago that was. I will admit I don't check in as often as I once did, but being away at college, being in a sorority, and having a job when I'm not at school is very time consuming. If this is a serious question... You can buy makeup at simple places like wal-mart, or you can buy make up at places like bath and body works. And, obviously if you're 16 you SHOULD have your license, so you can go out and by yourself a razor and shaving cream to shave your legs with, you don't need your mothers permission for that. Or, something not so simple... go to www.trl.com, and find a link for a makeover story, get you and a friend to go on that show... or at least try. If not, I used to have my sister and/or some of my friends do my makeup. And just watching people apply makeup helped me learn. I still suck at puting it on. If this is a non-serious question from someone that I know then you are a loser, if not, then sorry I couldn't be of much help. Maybe you can search for a columnist who is prettier and applies a lot of makeup. If you look at the picture or me, my friend, and my sis then you'll be able to tell I'm not the prettiest girl in the world. Ask for help with makeup and stuff. Heck I had a play to do in a class so I brought some of my makeup to school and before that class I had like 5 people putting my makeup on for me... it was crazy fun. Good luck with everything. Make seperate time for you and your boyfriend. And when you, your boyfriend, and your friends are all together try not to be with just him or just them. Just remember, friend are forever, guys are whatever, when worse comes to worst your girls come 1st. A first boyfriend is a cool thing, but don't let it ruin any friendships. Include your friends and your boyfriend when you go to the mall and movies and stuff, and don't like make out and kiss your boyfriend when your friends are around if they aren't kissing anyone because it might make them feel uncomfortable. When you're around your friends and with your boyfriend just act how you acted before the two of you were boyfriend/girlfriend. Well actually, the two of you still flirted a whole lot, so try not to do that stuff. And when you have a friend over at your house, try not to leave that friend alone downstairs while you and your boyfriend are doing something upstairs for more then a few minutes, that could also make them feel uncomfortable. Hey it's me again the 14/f that is pregnate..For those of you that don't remember or know me, I had a boyfriend in jail and the side relationship where I got pregnate and found out from a test. Pierre is his name..not mike..but anyway pierre wants this baby aborted..he said he's not going to lose his football career over me or the baby..i`m already 6 weeks and I love this baby more than anything now. Telling my boyfriend was hard.. even harder then telling my father! My boyfriend was really mad since he just got out of jail and everything and wanted to kill the crap out of pierre..well my boyfriend really loves me and you can tell..since he said he'll be the father since pierre won't....but what should i do..should i still consider abortion? because I really want this child...

Well I say KEEP the baby. Would you like it if your mom decided to get an abortion when she was pregnant with you? If you are able to raise it, and the guy that was in jail is willing to father it, then you should have it. I'd be careful though. This guy was in jail, I mean what were the charges. If they were like murded, or attemted murded, or accessory to murder, or something like that where someone could've died or been really hurt then maybe this Jail guy has issues and it wouldn't be good to have him raise a child. Was he in jail for sexual abuse, or any other type of abuse? I wouldn't want someone like that raising my baby, especially if he's not the father. Now if it was like vandelism, then that isn't too bad (even if it's against the law) and he'd still be an okay father. You kind of confused me in this question, I read the last one when you had asked it, but I don't know if I answered it. If you want the child, keep it. It may have something wrong with it, or you may have to have a C-Section to get it out safely. But all in all it'll be worth it. No, it's not too bad. Where I live it's illegal, and you can get into trouble for that. But don't do anything until they start TPing. Like stay up as late as you can and have a phone with you at all times. Then once you see the TPiers coming, and once they pull out toilet paper, call the cops. Let the cops know that the people don't know you're calling the cops, and that they don't know that you even know they're TPing the house. Hopefully the cops will be silent about it so the cops can catch your XBFFs in action. Or just sneak and get pictures of them TPing the house (or if you have a video cam then use that) and then show the pictures or the video to their parents. Oh, if the grass is wet then it's harder to get the toilet paper off the ground and stuff, so when that one person said make the yard wet and stuff so the girls get muddy that's an okay idea, but it might also make the TP harder to get off your yard. Do you mean y-y1=m(x-x1)You are not allowed to do anything with the y and x (the regular, not the one with 1 attached) Here's an example.
Say the point is 4,2 and the slope is 3
Y-2=3(X-4). You distribute the 3... 3(x) & #(-4)
so it's Y-2=3X-12 then you add 2 to both sides, so the new problem is Y=3X-10. That is Slope form... Y=MX=B And M is the slope which in my problem would be 3, or 3/1. And y intercept would be -10. Pretty much just solve fir Y instead of solving for the whole A1-B2=C thing. Or another way you can get it WITH using a1=b2=c
Same problem to make it easy...
Y-2=3(X-4) You distribute... Y-2=3x-12. Add two to both sides... Y=3x-10. Subtract 3x from both sides... -3x+y= -10, this is COVER UP METHOD. You cover up the X, pretend it IS NOT there. You get Y=-10. That is the Y intercept. Or... if you wanted to find X intercept (just like Y-int, but when it intercepts the x-axis instead of the Y) You would cover up the Y, pretend it wasn't there, and it'd say -3x=-10. Divide both sides by -3, the 1st side cancels out, and -10/-3 = 3&1/3. Hope this isn't too confusing. And I hope I'm answering your question, I wasn't totally sure what you were asking.

My friend is a control freak. I suggested to make a movie and she's now acting like it's only hers because we're making it at our house. She's changing all this arrangments that we already made and won't tell me what she's doing. What can I do to stop her?

Sounds like she needs an attitude adjustment. Let her see how it is without your help. Quit on her, or tell her if she doesn't lighten up then you'll quit on her. Say that just because you're friends doesn't mean she can treat you that way. If she was a real friend she'd make it 50/50, and she'd split the work and everything with you. Maybe (depending on what type of movie) you could film one or two days at your house and maybe she'll let you do some stuff. Tell her that seriously you think she's being rude (and say it NICELY) and tell her how you feel. Hope I helped!!

I found out yesterday that a good friend of mine was killed at a party. Someone had slipped ecstasy in her drink and then she was brutally raped while she was passed out. I feel like this is all my fault. The reason being is because I always went to parties with her and I would always tell her "Beck, don't drink at parties". She'd always yell at me and tell me that I acted like her mother. But I knew I was right, I don't trust the drinks that people hand out at parties. The guy that raped her was my ex-boyfriend. I still feel like this was all my fault because, had I been there, he wouldn't have done anything to her because he's afraid of me. I'm sure by now you're all probably thinking "This is a load of bull" but believe it. This actually happens to people. She was my best friend. I knew I should have gone with her to that party. I'm completely miserable right now. She was my best friend. I always figured that nothing like that could ever hit so close to home. I'd always see stories like this on the news and I'd think to myself "How could they be so stupid?" Or, "That would never happen where I live." But it has. I don't know how to handle this. My ex boyfriend was arrested and my friends family is waiting to go to court but in the time being, I don't know how to handle myself. I don't even have the courage to go to her funeral tomorrow. I need help getting through this. Please help me... Thank you for those who take this seriously. I would really also like a non-sarcastic answer because this is a touchy subject for me. Thank you.

I know how you feel. I talked a friend into going to a party with me even though just the two of us were supposed to hang out. Well she ended up drinking and driving home... before you know it she's gotten into a car accident and passed away. I blamed myself for the longest time, I hated myself so much because less than a month later would've been her 18th birthday and I felt it was my fault that she wouldn't experienec adulthood. I ended up talking to a teacher about it, and that teacher was a LOT of help, and she made me realize that even though what we were doing was wrong it wasn't our fault. You should find somebody that you can trust to talk to. It's really really hard to deal with death, especially when it's someone you're really close with. Recently there was a death at our school, a boy who I barely knew OD'd, a few kids I knew had been there and were really broken up about it, you need to realize that it wasn't your fault. People should know that when they go to parties that unless they're the person opening the drink, and unless their eyes are on it at ALL times, not even letting a second pass, then they should NOT drink ANYTHING at a party. I hate it when people tell me that they know how I feel because most likely they don't, but I do know how you feel, I went through something similar, and it was in late Sept. early Oct. Yeah, not too long ago. It's REALLY hard to deal, but you need someone you are able to talk to, someone to help you realize it wasn't your fault. Going to the funeral will really help, it will help a lot. You should go. If you haven't noticed, the parents don't blame you, because you didn't do anything. Did you force her to go to the party? Did you drag her there? Did you put the extacy in her drink? Did you force it down her throat? After she passed out did you rape her? NO NO NO NO No you didn't!!!!!!!! You don't want to hear it now, but eventually you'll have to say this out loud to get over it. It was the boys fault for raping her and giving her the drug, it was her fault for allowing herself to go to the party and her fault for drinking something at a party where there were drugs and alcohol, and it was her fault for not watching her drink at all times. I know you don't want to hear that it was partially her fault, but you need to hear it. It took me a while to say out loud that it was my friends fault for driving home drunk instead of taking a taxi like the rest of us, but eventually you NEED to say it. This was not your fault. I love having sleep overs they are so much fun but sometimes I wish that I could have them where i live and not feel nervous becuase i live in an apartment. No one has ever said anything bad about living in an apartment but where i live thei rare very few and everyone i know lives in a house well most people do. I get embarresed when people come over becuase i kno they think that im poor and everything and they dont expect it becuase i always buy expensive and really nice stuff pluss clothes because my mom has more money to give me than when we used to live in a house . Should i be ashamed of this?

Of course not. Back in 5th grade a friend of mine lived in a trailor when I first saw it, it was weird for me because I never knew anyone who didn't live in a house, but then I grew up, in 7th grade I met a girl who is now like my best friend, she lives in a one-story house, it was the 1st time I ever slept in a one story house I thought it was cool. I have another good friend who lives in a trailor, I've never slept over, but I wouldn't care. I've slept in apartments before, I think it's cool. My opinon... I think it's fun to do something I can't do on a regular basis, like have a sleepover in an enviornment that I'm not used to. Some people at first might think it's strange, but they'll get used to it. You should NEVER be ashamed of where you live. Did you know that there are famous and rich people today who when they grew up didn't even live in an apartment. Like (don't laugh) Oprah, or Shania Twain (sorry, she's like my favorite female country singer) But really you should never be ashamed. I mean they shouldn't judge you, it isn't your fault that you live in an apartment. I think it'd be cool, but I guess that's because I don't live in one. DON'T be ashamed!!! They aren't true friends if they judge you on where you live. I know a girl whos father is one of those mortition things, they have dead people in their basements, at first I thought it'd be creepy to sleep over there, but it's really a lot of fun once you get used to it. Ok i slept with make-up on..stupid i know..and now my eyes are sore..how long will it take for the soreness to go away?

I've done that before when I totally forgot I was wearing makeup. I've only gotten sore once or twice from that, but usually it takese anywhere from 2hours to a whole day. It sucks I know. You should try to make it where you remember to take off makeup before bed, but sometimes you just get to sleepy. At about 2 this morning I was about to watch some movies with a friend, and I was tired (being up all the previous night and then celebrating new years) so I thought I'd fall asleep, I got really tired before remembering I had makeup on. You just have to be careful. But yeah, usually it lasts anywhere from 1-2 hours all the way to a full day. Just try not to rub your eyes too much, and if it really hurts get like a washcloth and put ice in it, or just run it under COLD water for a minute or two, then just put it on your eyes.
