JadedinNowhere answered Sunday January 9 2005, 3:55 am: this is strange because I can't find anything about it. They are almost two seperate things. I suspect that maybe depression can come from being anemic.. but anemic means that your red blood cells can't take in as much oxygen as normal peoples. It's actually sort of common. Maybe you should ask your doctor, or maybe one of your parents. [ JadedinNowhere's advice column | Ask JadedinNowhere A Question ]

I asked smarter child and he told me what anemic was...
anemic:
Adjective
1. Relating to or suffering from anemia. 2. Lacking vitality; listless and weak: an anemic attempt to hit the baseball; an anemic economic recovery.
And then I asked SmarterChild to define depression and this is what he told me...
depression:
Noun
1. a. The act of depressing. b. The condition of being depressed. 2. An area that is sunk below its surroundings; a hollow. 3. The condition of feeling sad or despondent. 4. Psychology A psychiatric disorder characterized by an inability to concentrate, insomnia, loss of appetite, anhedonia, feelings of extreme sadness, guilt, helplessness and hopelessness, and thoughts of death. Also called clinical depression. 5. a. A reduction in activity or force. b. A reduction in physiological vigor or activity: a depression in respiration. c. A lowering in amount, degree, or position. 6. Economics A period of drastic decline in a national or international economy, characterized by decreasing business activity, falling prices, and unemployment. 7. Meteorology A region of low barometric pressure. 8. The angular distance below the horizontal plane through the point of observation. 9. Astronomy The angular distance of a celestial body below the horizon.
I guess you'll just have to try to put them together. I tried asking for anemic depression, but all I got was what anemic meant. [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]
