Hello! I am studying esthetics at an Aveda Institute after spending years in retail. I am proof that nothing turns out how you think it will, and that's a good thing. When you think you've got it figured out, you don't. Life would be boring otherwise, right?

What is the best and easiest way to get rid of a razor burn and/or razor bumps?

Scrub with one of those scrubbing brushes. Tea tree oil and other anti-acne products also work pretty well.

I have a 12 year-old sister. I made her a myspace a while back and made it private. She didnt know how to do anything on myspace. Well now shes almost 13 and she is completely addicted to myspace. More addicted to it then anyone of us i bet. She has atleast 5 myspaces of famous people that she made and is pretending to be them and telling everyone she is&& she talks to every single one of the people that Message her. I have told her manny times that she will end up talking to the Wrong person&& he will seriously hurt her.I told her that she has to be atleast 16 to be able to have a myspace and talk to people that are not her friends. She doesnt care. I have blocked myspace && she found away around it. I have told my parents and they tell her not to get on it. She pretty much tells them im not or screw off. She has no respect for anybody in my family and moesnt care what anyone tells her. Myspace has caused her to spend endless hours on the computer. SHe is on from the Second she wakes up to the second she goes to bed. And she will pretend to go to bed and then when everyone in the house is a sleep she will wake up and get on the computer. No matter the time of day. We have a password on the computer but she found it out By watching what my dad typed in.

Im sorry this is long but she needs help.

Please dont just say talk to herand tellher what will happen if she talks to the wrong person. Again she doesnt care.

&& if i tell my parents that she wakes up and gets on she will say no i don't even tho they believe me she doesnt get into any trouble. We usedto have this rule only 30 minutes on the computer at a time but she doesnt go by it but if say i was on the computer and she wanted on she would say kim you have been on for 30 minutes your turn is over.

Talk to your parents- with proof. Maybe show them under History (ctrl + H) how much she's been on. There's been a new obsession lately in the news about how dangerous myspace is and they've probably heard about it.
At the very least, make them change the password again and make sure she's out of the room when they type the password in.

EDIT: Okay, sorry. If you knew how she blocked it maybe you could fix that...As for her spending so much time on the computer, there's a program called Watchdog that limits your time on the internet, your parents can download it (i'm pretty sure it's free) and then set it. It's pretty much impossible to hack (believe me, I've tried). And I think you can block websites with it too...if not, there's probably a program out there that can.

My girl friend, Trish, is so beautiful and I love her so much.
The problem is people say that she is ugly, & I don't think that at all.

hey everyone! this may sound gross but im 13/f and my arm hairs are like very dark brown and almost black. its not like its a little hair, its a ton! it looks gross and its very dark. i do not want to take on waxing/shaving or any type of hair removal. i just was wondeirng if i bleached it blonde would yu still be able to see teh large amount of hair? also it is worth my time? what are the pros and cons of it? this question is especially directed to this who have experience wiht this type of thing. cait♥

If you bleached it, the hair would turn orange or bright yellow because it's so dark and you would still have the same amount of hair...i've seen it before and it's really noticeable. I'd recommend one of those rollon liquids that remove hair instead.

hey i have like dirty blonde hair (and it usually gets blonder in the summer) i've heard that putting lemon juice in your hair and going out into the sun gets it blonder, and i tryied it but it didnt work! i re aplyed a few times too. but i just got a bottle of lemon juice from like kroger, is there a cirtan kind that works better, also i herd that putting like camimile tea or something in your hair makes it blonder.....does that work? any advice on what to do and use?

If you get a bottle of lemon juice, a lot of the time it's fake. Juice a few actual lemons and put the juice in a spray bottle...spray your hair and lay out in the sun for an hour or so (wear sunscreen).

ok i had my first period on may 1. it lasted for about six days and after that it was just light discharge...and now after over a month its just discharge and my period hasnt come back... should i be worrying??

No- for the first two years of getting your period, it can be up to six months late (though that's in extreme cases). You should probably wear some pantyliners until you get it again though...especially if the discharge is bothering you.

All these girls in my school wear low cut shirts, and short short skirts. My school dosen't enforce the dress code at all. What bothers me is when I'm caught looking at some girl's clevage they say things like, "Hey!" I just get kinda angry because why do all these girls wear clothes like that then not like it when people stare at there ass n' stuff. I just don't get it. They get all upset when guys try to touch them and stuff. That I can understand. But they have to understand that gusy act like that becaues they dress the way they do. My question is: Why do girls dress like that, then be mad at everyone for acting the way that they do?

Some of it's attention, but some of them just like dressing like that or they're used to it (I do sometimes). Maybe, as harsh as it sounds, they just don't want attention from you for some reason. Some girls get frustrated because they like miniskirts but they want people to not focus on their body. Or some could be dressing that way to get attention from a certain guy or group of guys that you don't happen to be.

I invited my friend to go to Santa Barbara with me but her parents won't let her go until they see her report card.The problem is the report cards don't get mailed until after the trip! HOw can i get my friend to go on the trip now?

I assume your school doesn't post grades online (if they do, just have her print her grades out). Have her do a "grade check"- that is, have all her teachers write her current grades on a piece of paper and then sign it. Good luck!

I just got a job as a Hostess at my Aunts Restaurant and I was just curious as to what exactly I would do. Do I greet people? I'm a really friendly person, I just don't know what to say.. I'm sure my Aunt will tell me, but I don't want to say the same thing, all the time, to everyone, I'd like to change it up a bit.

Basically you greet people, get them their menus, and show them to their tables. You also take reservations. You could comment on a customer's outfit or something like that, but read their signals...most of the time, you can tell whether or not someone wants to chat.

hey, i tried a spray-on SUNLESS TANNER (neutrogena) and it was AWFUL! i had streaks all down my legs and it was so EMBARRASING!I mean, i prepared my skin and everything, but it still looked bad. do any of y'all know a good sunless or ANY fake tanner that can give me a natural look without screwing up, and if it DOES screw up, how can i get rid of it...fast? PLEASE tell me if you have any suggestions!

Sephora sells a sunless tan remover. If you're having trouble with streaks, I recommend Jergens Natural Glow- it's a lotion with tanner in it- it starts out really subtle and you built up. For faster results, Coppertone Endless Summer works pretty well.

For the outfit, something nice (no jeans or miniskirts) and not revealing, with subtle jewelry...the look you're going for is classy. It depends on what you're doing though...if you're just going over to his house don't look overly dressed up and fake. Natural makeup- mascara, blush, and a natural looking lip gloss. But the thing that's gonna matter the most is how you trat her so no matter what she does or says BE POLITE.

i know this isn't an advice question, but i was just wondering who was out of school already. it seems like rhode island is the only place going until the end of june. also, when did you get out.

I live in california and we get out june 16...I think for most schools it's the second week of june.

I have the urge to write a story for some reason, but I can't think of anything people would want to read. I'm thinking of like a chapter book, something I can make a summer project out of. But the problem is, I always have problems figuring out what to write about! I want it to be from the point of a teenage girl, something I can relate to being, and then have an interesting plotline that follows. Something about going through a hard time. It could have to do with relationships, but also something beyond that too. Set in the present time. So tell me, what would you guys like to read??

Try something with a unique character or perspective- a mute girl, a baby, someone in a coma- or situation. Stay away from the typical characters (blonde mean cheerleader, nerd girl, jock boy, drama queen- basically all the high school stereotypes)- and create real people and settings. The rest will come when you have a beginning.

Are there many girls that don't shave down there? Or do most? I was messing around with my bf today, and his hands "slipped" down there and I hadn't shaved. I asked him if he minded and he said he didn't, but I dunno. I've never shaved it before and am not sure whether I should start. Can someone give me some advice? I don't want him to be grossed out.

Don't shave- wax or use a hair-removal product. Shaving will cause razor burn (even if you use shaving scream) and it will leave stubble even right after you shave.

Okay, I am a 14 year old girl who recently started using tampons[[okay like two days ago]] My question is- is it suposed to hurt a little when you pull it out? Is it natural? or is it simply becuase im not used to it? please let me know. if it helps i will have my period for two years july 2nd.

That probably means there isn't enough blood on the tampon, so leave it in for longer.
