There are theories about small, opressed tribes of men who rose up and took over, destroyed the female-dominant culture, and replaced it with new culture/mythology/religion. It's actually pretty fascinating (and just a little bit sad), and I suggest reading some history books if you want to know more. I have this one called "When God Was a Woman", which is basically about how the male-dominated religions of the Mediterranean took over older, matriarchal ones. Definitely add that book to your reading list, and I'd also check out Virginia Woolf. [ tasuki's advice column | Ask tasuki A Question ]
