Why do girls do this?
All these girls in my school wear low cut shirts, and short short skirts. My school dosen't enforce the dress code at all. What bothers me is when I'm caught looking at some girl's clevage they say things like, "Hey!" I just get kinda angry because why do all these girls wear clothes like that then not like it when people stare at there ass n' stuff. I just don't get it. They get all upset when guys try to touch them and stuff. That I can understand. But they have to understand that gusy act like that becaues they dress the way they do. My question is: Why do girls dress like that, then be mad at everyone for acting the way that they do?

The eight grade class when I was in fifth grade dressed like this, so our entire dresscode was changed. Start a petition, and get people's opinions (shoot for the girls who you have a lot in common with.) Then, show the people in charge, and hopefully, they will see the light. But those girls act like that because they are insecure. They may love their bodies, but they don't love the person inside of it. So they think that guys will go for all Victoria's Secret model and no personality.

I know, I so agree with you. I'm 13/f, and in Junior High, going to h.s. next semester, and you shoud see our school. Girls are wearing tube tops, with their stomach showing. Keep in mind that their from my class, which is supposed to be the so called "Gifted Class." Also keep in mind that we're in j.h.s., and we're budding teenagers. Girls just do it for attention. They're thinking in their mind "I've got the chest, why not show it? Guys will notice me!" They're just playing hard to get, but the enjoy it inside when you touch them. It makes them feel special, unlike people like me, who barely have a chest. They rather have a shallow relationship, where some guy only wants them for their body. Those are known as the popular girls. I know them as bitches, asses, sluts, and whores. If you ever are caught looking at a girl's cleavage again, and they say "hey", tell them it's their fault, dress more appropiately.

the only reason i can think of why they dress like tha is because they have very very low self- esteem. they feel that by dressing almost naked- that theyll GET guys' attention- but at the same time, by tellnig a guy to 'watch it' when hes looking at her- she feels like not such a big whore. its kind of blunt, and real hard to explain- but its the cold hard truth.

I'd like to say that it's because they're not dressing that way for YOU, they're doing it for themselves. Why shouldn't we be comfortable? Why can men go just about anywhere topless, but women can't even work in their own garden without a shirt? It doesn't make sense; it isn't fair.
That's what I'd LIKE to say, but not all girls think that way. Teenagers don't have much self-esteem. These girls probably do this to look and feel pretty, they want confidence, and they think that confidence is equal to boobs. They secretly want guys to look at them, but obviously if they let you know that, they would be sluts. It's a long, cruel double standard that women have always had to deal with. That's why they act offended--they want you to think that they're pretty, not easy.
I don't know why they do that. People (males AND females) are full of contradictions. This is the way it's been throughout history. Humankind can be a beautiful thing, but humans do a lot of really messed up, brutal things as well. I'm sure these girls will get over it. People like to look at other people, and we like to be looked at. And that's that. Maybe next time, you can beat them to it and say, "Why are you undressing me with your eyes?!" You'll get a good laugh or two out of that.

Deff. for attention. They want people to think they look hot and sexy cause they crave male attention. And they get mad at people for looking or touching because they may actually not like it or because they want more attention. Trust me, the more you can't have or do something, the more you want it! I think those girls need a reality check and need to realize that they're dressing like sluts.

Some of it's attention, but some of them just like dressing like that or they're used to it (I do sometimes). Maybe, as harsh as it sounds, they just don't want attention from you for some reason. Some girls get frustrated because they like miniskirts but they want people to not focus on their body. Or some could be dressing that way to get attention from a certain guy or group of guys that you don't happen to be.

Most likely they are wearing it to get attention. They know that guys are going to be staring and girls and are going to be calling them sluts and whores and crap. They just want attention. They may like it when guys stare at them but they act upset cause then they get MORE atention. To be honest, they sound stupid to me, I mean if they wear that of course guys will be guys and stare and want to touch them... they need to learn that and get over it. If they don't want to be stared at and to be felt up by a guy, don't wear that crap...

I agree, it's stupid. Any girl who wears attention-getting clothing, and then acts outraged when she gets attention, is either faking the outrage, or a complete idiot. ;-)

Most do it because they are being a tease. A tease is basically someone who flirts but will never go past that. So by wearing short skirts and low cut shirts they are in a way flirting by getting attention from boys, but they don't want anything beyond that because they are being a tease and are playing hard to get.

Well, they do it for attention. And if you're staring at them but they say "hey!" they are playing hard to get, but they do like the attention. They're just faking being upset over guys touching them (unless they're ugly guys).. So yeah.

Next time one of them says something like that to you, politely tell them that if they don't want ogled by guys with healthy hormones...wear a turtle-neck. :)
