Very helpful tool :D
advice
I have a 1 year old puppy and I've had her for nearly a year. She's eaten her poop before, but now I'm getting tired of it. I stepped in it yesterday AND today, when I came home. Why is this? And how can I stop this? She's been doing this for a few months (I thought she would stop. She did, for awhile, but it's started again). Please help me! This is disgusting!

13/F/91 Pounds/5 Foot 1
So my dad always calls me fat... He always says stuff like "Yet, you're eating again." And "You're gonna explode!" Yet, HE'S THE FAT ONE. My pants are WAY too big for me and he says stuff to always put me down.
I eat 1200 calories a day - Is that too much? Should I drop to 800? I'm seriously starting to feel terrible about myself.. :( Please help me!
My mom would do that to me. I hated it and it always hurt me. But, eventually I learned that really all i need is to feel good about myself. It's not easy. But despite hearing what your dad says, you have to tell yourself you are great :)
I'm 5'1 and I way more than that, but I'm still in the normal range (105 and 132 pounds). So you're just fine. Trust me. You're probably a stick. A 13-year-old girl should consume between 1,400 and 2,200 calories each day, so really you're eating less than you should. You know, I would focus on eating right. Make sure you're getting your nutrients and don't worry about what your dad says. Parents sometimes don't realize how much of an effect their words have.
Focus on what your body needs and how you feel. Be strong :)
Umm well my mom still won't let me shave my legs so is there a way I can hide the hair or something tht makes it look like I shaved without actually shaving. I'm dark skin. Just telling u that in case it might help. Thx!!
You can try to use products like Nair. It's a cream that basically burns the hair off and then you wash the cream off. It's painless, but the cream does smell (like...burnt hair). I've tried them before and I feel shaving is quicker, products like Nair is still an option. You can also trim the hair. Hair trimmers can be bought for cheap. Waxing can be an option too. I've never really bothered with that, so I don't know much about it.
i need help with iambic pentameter. We are writing some in class and I can;t get the hang of it. Could you help me by seeing if this is in iambic pentameter and if it isn't giving suggestions to make it be in it?
You to me is a mouse to a street cat,
together we would be improbable.
you and I? like a bear to a leg trap,
like water to oil, near impossible.
No ying nor yang just two broken pieces,
cloth cut from miscellaneous fabric.
we’re constantly fighting it never ceases,
our life needs more love and more magic.
No birds and bee’s, more lions and zebras
is the relationship that we posses
We don't mix like a man and a diva
You are a great guy but I must confess
In this case opposites do not attract
So i’m afraid i must now retract
I found this great example that will help you understand what iambic pentameter is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iambic_pentameter
(in short,
An iambic foot is an unstressed syllable followed by a stressed syllable. The rhythm can be written as:
da DUM
The da-DUM of a human heartbeat is the most common example of this rhythm.
A standard line of iambic pentameter is five iambic feet in a row:
da DUM da DUM da DUM da DUM da DUM)
Now, let's go through your poem. Bare in mind, it's been a while since I've done this, but I'm hoping I can help somewhat.
You to me is a mouse to a street cat, (sounds good)
together we would be improbable. (sounds good)
you and I? like a bear to a leg trap,
like water to oil, near impossible. (this line doesn't sound right to me)
No ying nor yang just two broken pieces, (i think pieces broke sounds better)
cloth cut from miscellaneous fabric. (i'm a bit iffy on the big word. Makes it difficult to detect, but it's your call :) )
we’re constantly fighting it never ceases, (sounds good)
our life needs more love and more magic. (this one is short a syllable)
No birds and bee’s, more lions and zebras (same with this unless you're saying ze-bah-rahs, but others won't read it like that)
is the relationship that we posses (nice)
We don't mix like a man and a diva (I'm not too excited about the contraction here, but its ok)
You are a great guy but I must confess
In this case opposites do not attract
So i’m afraid i must now retract (make it "i am")
Ok, I hope i did more good than harm! Good luck!
So lately I've been gaining a lot of weight. Which is a good thing, I gained 10 lbs in a few months when usually I only gain 10 lbs in a year. Now I'm about 110 lbs and I'm really glad that I'm gaining weight and hopefully my body is filling out better. However, I want to start working out and get in shape so when I gain more weight I won't look fat and I can have healthy exercise habits. I don't wanna lose any weight I just want to gain muscle and look fit. So what kind of work out routines can I have that will get me flat abs and nice legs while keeping the weight on? And if I start to lose weight after working out for a while, should I just start eating more? Do I really have to worry about calorie intake and all that? Thanks!
I would recommend you take a look at this site. It tells you how many reps and sets you need to do in order to build muscle when using weight machines or exercising. http://exercise.about.com/cs/exerciseworkouts/a/weight101_3.htm
In summary: To gain muscle: 3+ sets of 6-8 reps to fatigue. For beginners, give yourself several weeks of conditioning before going to this level.
I would say that you shouldn't worry as much about if you happen to lose some weight, because often gaining muscle is a long term process and can't be monitored day to day based on weight. However, I would say that you should eat within reason. You'll have to make sure you are taking in enough calories to allow your body to recover after working out. ALso eventually you'll have to start taking some protein in the form or shakes or bars because they do help your muscles re-cooperate.
Hope that helps!
i am 16 and i have never had a boyfriend and have never been kissed is this normal or is there something seriously wrong with me?
There is nothing wrong with you. Just wait until you like someone before you go further. It's hard because we have cues from everywhere that says if you're not good looking or taken or have had sex you're not good enough. That is so not true. Be confident in yourself and if you haven't found someone you like enough to be in a relationship then don't worry. Enjoy your life and have fun and don't feel pressured to do anything you don't want to do.
tell me cool and fun places in philadelphia :))
This site is super helpful: http://www.visitphilly.com/
All lot of major tourist places have sites like this with attractions and even city passes (where you pay a certain amount for a week access to many different things). The city passes are great if you're new to a place and want to explore the main things about it. Check it out!
I will not attend on class for two days and i want to ask permission. How could i write permission note?
It depends on the teacher. If you see her then talk to her. Tell her the reason you will be missing class the two days and if there is anything you can do to make up the work and not lose points on anything. If it's a medical reason, tell her you will bring the doctors note. If it's a family emergency or the like, ask your parents or guardians to write a note explaining the reason.
me and my boyfriend really love eachother but we but we fightall the time i can get mad at him for something like leaving me home alone when his unckle is drunk (witch i have made very clear i have a problem with) and when i go to comfront him about it, it ends up getting flipped to where he is mad at me. idont see how it happens but he always ends up crying his way out of me being mad cuz he freaks out like im the one in the wrong i dont know how i can talk to him!!!! what should i do.its like my feelings just dont matter to him
It's common for couples to fight. What's harder is finding ways to leave each argument happy and working through it. I really believe communication is the key in any relationship. One thing I have noticed about myself is that when me and my bf are mad and try to work it out, it never works out. We always just get more mad and upset and say things we don't mean. However, if we just let it go until we cool down a bit and talk it through it's fixed magically. It's crazy. So I suggest to talk to your bf when you aren't mad. Bring it up casually and try your best to talk it through. This will work if your bf also is able to talk it through with you. But, if you can do this then I know things will get better. Another thing is you have to let go of the small stuff. Sometimes people have qualities about each other that people hate and couples get to see them full force when they hang out with each other so much. If it's minor (and you have to think about if it's minor) then let it go. Minor things would be him leaving his socks on the floor or not the hamper. Things like that won't kill you. If you let it go then, honestly, you'll just feel less annoyed and stressed. You should also try to make yourself better, because that is what anyone should do really. Offer to stay home sometimes with him when his uncle is drunk? Or take him out to lunch if he's had a rough day with his uncle? You might not know why your bf doesn't like staying home with him (lets be honest though...would you?) but you can try to make it easier on him somehow. Do you best! I hope that helps :)
Do you guys honestly think that everyone is destined to meet someone? Especially during a certain time of their life.
I feel like everyone around me has someone or has people in their life they could potentially be with. Whereas me, I don't know anyone who I can see myself with at all. I'm about to be 21 and I can honestly say I've never really been in true love before and Im scared because my life is going to get tougher and more hectic as I continue with school and my career and I'm worried I won't find anyone. I'm also worried that the longer I hold out on finding someone, the more people I could have potentially be with, will find someone else. Sorry for sounding a bit confusing with my thoughts. But what do you think?
I think instead of putting so much pressure on yourself you should hang out with people that seem nice and be open to new people. So many people meet "the one" on accident or by getting to know someone they hadn't considered before. Worrying about it because your life is hectic or will be hectic is normal. Like I said, don't put so much pressure on yourself. Be calm and relaxed. If you see someone you might find interesting, talk to them. Doesn't matter the place or time. Not to mention you really are young. You will find someone and it might be when you least expect it. enjoy your life and have fun and give people a chance. Best of luck :)
I love my boyfriend a lot. I feel it in my heart, and I know it's true. But strangely I'm not in a constant state of love. I'm generally a cold person, and sometimes I feel nothing at all. I feel hollow like an empty shell. And when I feel like that I don't feel any love or anything at all for that matter. Do I love him? And should I reply with "I love you too" when he says he loves me and I don't feel love at that moment? I always know deep in my heart that my love for him is immense. I love him to death. I am so confused. Has anyone had such an experience? Is it normal? I don't know what to think and it irks me that I can't always love him. I want to.
Love doesn't have to be an intense feeling someone has at all times. If you love someone then you're willing to be with them and care for them. I think that you are really over thinking things. I mean, as I read your question I can see that you care about this person. Just because you go through sometimes not feeling anything doesn't mean you suddenly stop loving him. I don't think this is out of the ordinary. Love is a long term feeling. It can still be felt even if it's not in your face. I would tell him that you love him. And relax. It's totally ok. :)
Ok so I like a freshman. I know it
It seems like you forgot to include a question. It would make it difficult to help you if we don't know what you are asking. Please add more information if you would like a complete answer.
I really want to lose weight, I can never do it becuase no one can support me. Please help
First, you have to remember that you have to be your biggest fan. You need to find ways to motivate yourself. Sometimes in life we have to get up and do something on our own. I don't know your age so I don't know how much you can do (such as driving to a gym), but you have to be the one to take initiative. You want to get healthy and there shouldn't be anything to stop you. One great way to motivate yourself is to set goals and try to make them. Don't get discouraged if you feel like you fell short one week. Keep at it. It will take time.
In case you are curious on how to start:
There are a couple things you need before you will start your life changing plan: Dedication, Patience, and Determination. Without these things, you can't expect to go anywhere.
Get your mind set on loosing weight and getting healthy! Know the consequences and the rewards. Take a deep breath and start!
You will first have to cut out as many sweets or fatty food from your diet. This will ensure that you will not gain any more weight. So have an apple if you feel hungry. Keep fruit salad in the fridge and eat it when you get the urge for something sweet. Have carrots with low fat dressing. When eating a sandwich take out a layer of meat and substitute it for lettuce and two more pieces of tomatoes.
Now that you will make sure you will not gain any new weight, let's deal with the weight that you are trying to get rid of. It will be essential that you exercise every other day! You will exercise one day and let your muscle heal the next. Set up a plan. Following is a suggestion of what you can do. Add your own things and make it work.
Cardio is important so every other day you might want to try running for 10-20 minutes. When those are done you should stretch for 5-10 minutes holding each stretch for 30-60 seconds. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
I really want my period I know there is at least one way from a doctor to make your period come instantly without taking pills im 13 and I have all the signs of my first period and it hasn't come yet my mom got hers about almost 14 I have lots of discharge and I have had boobs since 4rth grade plz help me!!!!!
Thanks,
I'm not quite sure there is a way to get your period now. You body is a complex system with hormones and chemicals. When your body decided that it is capable of reproducing and it has everything it needs, you will start getting your period. If your body isn't ready then you won't get your period. For example, a lot of athletes don't get their periods because they have so little body fat. Women need a certain amount of body fat to have a child. Typically, you get your period around the time as your mother which might be almost a year away for you. If this does concern you health-wise,then simply call your pediatrician and ask if it's normal. And often enough even when you finally do get it, it will be very irregular at first. That is normal as well. Treat your body right and stay healthy. Your body will know when it's ready and you will get your period then.
Hope that helps!
so we have a female gym coach and a male gym coach at our school. im a girl and the female coach told me to give the male coach a note and he was in the boys locker room so i asked her to wait until he got out but she told me to go in there and give it to him. so i walked through a room full of naked 13 year old boys all staring at me and my guy friend, who i have a crush on, was in there. once they saw me they made a dash for cover and my friend and a couple of other boys werent quick enough so they were in the open and i couldnt find the coach so i had to ask my friend where he was so it was super awkward. that was last period so we went straight home after that. so how can we talk tomorrow without it being awkward?
Pretend as if it never happened. Seriously, it was an accident. You were just there to give the note to the gym teacher. I'd pretend as if it never happened. But, if say someone asks you simply tell them you were just doing that the coach told you to.
I was told I had eczema by my doctor a few years back and after about a year, it went away. I can't remember what I was given or what I took to make it go away.
But recently, it's coming back and it's appearing on my upper arms, inner thighs, and it's starting to appear on my belly and on the sides of my breasts. I currently do not have a doctor as I just turned eighteen last year and need to find a new one. I'm assuming I have to solve this problem on my own right now until I can find a doctor. So, are there any creams I can buy at a pharmacy or tablets I can take to try and make it go away or would I really need to see a doctor as soon as possible?
I found this link that includes home remedies and suggestions on what creams to get. http://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/eczema/eczema_home_treatment
Best of luck!

I have a problem with drooling in my sleep, so I am most likely going to start using nasal strips. Do they work and are they safe?
The do work for most people. Here is how they work in case you are curious: http://www.breatheright.com/faqs
They are safe however not recommended for children under five or if you are allergic to latex. The above link also answers that question.
i know ur a little older than i am and i was wondering is it weird that i just want to wear regular panties? all of my friends wear thongs like all the time now and they keep telling me i should to...but thongs look really uncomfortable i dont want anything stuck up my but im totally comfortable wearing my normal bikini panties...shud i try wearing thongs?
It can't hurt trying. I have tried them and I don't really like them. If you find you don't like it then don't wear it. If your friends tell you, then simply say that you find panties more comfortable. There really is nothing wrong with it. Just be comfortable. :)
i was trying to help my dad today but he got mad because i wasnt doing it right, ive never been so hurt of what he said to me. i cried alot. i feel so alone because my dad was the only person i can really talk to.. i just want to know is it ok if my dad swears at me sometimes?
Sometimes people do lose their temper and say things they don't mean. If it's the first time it happened (or happens rarely) and out of your dad's character then perhaps his temper got the best of him. I would suggest that since you say you feel like you can talk to him, I would tell him how hurt you feel. Tell him you're sorry as well to patch things up with your dad :)
When I sleep, I always need to put a towel on my pillow and I need to put my hair up in a bun (I hate this). Why? Because my mouth won't close when I sleep and I drool!
How can I keep my mouth shut? I was thinking it's because my nose is clogged and my mouth automatically opens, but I don't know.
I've tried to sleep just on my back, but I'm a rough sleeper so I move around a lot and end up on my stomach or something when I wake up.
So what should I do? I really need your help! I'm 13, by the way.
When you breath with your mouth at night the most obvious reason is that your nose is having trouble breathing. It's actually a very common problem. I found a few article with suggestions on how to make it easier to breathe through your nose at night.
http://doctorstevenpark.com/7-tips-to-breathe-better-through-your-nose
http://www.ehow.com/how_5617104_stop-snoring-breathe-through-nose.html\
If the suggestions on these sites fail you, I would suggest calling your doctor and asking him/her what they suggest. It won't take much time and they could really have a simple solution that wasn't stated in the sites. Best of luck!
