This may be a bit long; brace yourself.
I've read stories of people getting tired of their life and just up and going to a new place. Completely starting over.
As much as change scares me because of its uncertainty, I'd love to just leave and start my life over.
I'm 18 female, just started college in August about an hour away from where I was living before. I went through about a year of "depression" because my mom and I stopped living together and she tried controlling my life when she couldn't even support me. Since then I've been better, but still a bit mentally unstable. I don't know how to deal with my feelings. I'm in counselling and it helps, but there are still days when I'm not completely happy with my life.
I'm blessed to have what I do in my life, I recognize that, but I still feel like I'm settling for less than I should. Not necessarily what I deserve, but what I'm capable of. Is it reasonable to move away and restart my life since it's my life to live anyway? Any words of advice? (link)

Running away from your problems is never the healthy way to start. I'm very sorry about your year of depression because your mom couldn't support you. I am sure she at least tried to, or she wouldn't have had you in the first place, right? I once read a creed saying "Don't bring your parents down, they brought you up".
See, if it wasn't for your mom, you wouldn't be living life now. Sure, it might not be the way you wanted to live, but its better than nothing. Mothers are controlling of every teenager. Trust me, I went through that. But, its only because they want you to end up in a right place. If our parents never pushed kids to go to school, where would all our teens be? The trick to life is to work your way up, not the other way around. My parents always told me to learn from my mistake.
How can you do that if you run away?
Great things happen to those who wait. Running away may seem good at first, but then you look back and ask yourself "Why?".
My advice is to stay and look at things in a more positive way. Understand the reasons why things are happening and don't try to change them. If you are going to move, move because you know its a good experience. Never move because you think its going to erase your problems.

Alright, in my opinion, I think girls deserve a say in what they want. So don't go around waiting for him to ask. He is probably really shy. If he says that he loves you, then he won't say no if you ask, right?? So just come clean. Guys love it when a girl has confidence and asks. Just talk to him like this:
You: I don't get the mind of guys anymore
Him: What do you mean?
You: You say that you love me, and we've been going out about a year now.... Why haven't you asked me to be your girlfriend??
Okay, so if you ask him like that, he won't think you're pushing him too fast. It would just let him know that he IS allowed to ask you to be his girlfriend.
The boy is probably shy. Don't let him lead. Be a WOMAN! I know, I'm acting like a feminist, but you gotta admit that it is true right? haha

hey..i been struggling for 5 months after my boyfriend broke up with me..i been really sad and dont know what to do :(...

ok we we lasted 2 yrs and 2 months going out but then he left to the dominican republic and he cheeted on me overdere with another girl...he posted pictures on myspace and when he came back i confronted him about it..he told me that was his cousin..but i actually got to talk to the girl and she told me that he was her boyfriend.my heart just dropped...i cant believe he actually did this to me because he loved me and he did alot of things for me...now he is here and he tells me to go to his house in the night so his parents wont see me ..but its just to have sex..i dont even want to go because i dont like doing those types of things with him...but its been 5 months since he broke up with me and my heart still hurts..its like its carrying a heavy pain..i cant seem to move on,its just hard for me, i try to let it go and not think about him but its hard, and no i dont go out because i hardly have friends here.am always stuck in my house.but can someone please tell me wat to do or do you guys have a similar story similar to mines..i appreacited .thanks :) (link)

Alright, first of all, you are way better than him. You deserve a guy who loves and treats you with respect. If he cheated on you once, you should let him go. You are nobody's second choice. You have to be their first and only choice. You have to find a boy you deserve, and you do NOT deserve this one. You should not waste your time waiting around for this boy, he is not worth your time and effort. Your heart does not even deserve that kind of pain. He's not worth it. My advice is to get over him and find someone better instead of waiting around thinking that this boy will change.
Honey, you are worth more than all that pain. You need a boyfriend who does not lie to you and puts you as the first girl in his life. Don't wait for this skunkbag of a boy because he is not going to change. He is going to keep hurting you.

The housing authority accuses Sunnyvale of being racist against minorities because they do not provide low income or multi-unit housing. Seems to me that the housing authority is implying that only minorities use low income housing and are incapable of mortgaging a home. Unless the town of Sunnyvale has a rule not allowing minorities to move there, or takes actions to make minorities who do live there uncomfortable than there is nothing racist about it.
It just bugs me.. why do they want to ruin a nice town? And Sunnyvale is a small town, too, with large lots and low density housing. They aren't discriminating against anyone because of race! And if they did build multi-unit housing there, the DART line is nowhere close to Sunnyvale, and there is no industry there for these people to get jobs. What a joke!
My family is buying a house in Sunnyvale, cause we can afford it. If we couldn't afford to move there we'd just go someplace else! And we are minorities, contradicting what the housing people think. Its not like there isn't low-income housing in other places. Sunnyvale is like 88% white, but its a growing town with lots of new homes.. so that number will probably change by next year.
But I guess the poor people don't want to go to bad towns so are just trying to leech into good towns which are good cause there's none or a lot of low income housing. Just cuz they didnt do well in school doesn't mean they have to ruin it for the people who did (or people who had parents that did, like moi)
there's low crime rates in sunnyvale too. imagine if we got low-income houses? that would definitely change. (link)

why are you demonising low income housing? its helpful for people who aren't lucky enough to have lots of money (or "people who did bad in school" as you like to call them).
Also, your idea of segregating poorer people, and richer people is not a good idea..it creates class divisions which were maybe not there before, or even worsens class wars'.
I personally dont agree with what you are saying, but i can definitely see where you are coming from, and you put some interesting points across.

ok so i met this girl through one of her other friends and as soon as we met we really hit it off.now we both like each other, and this afternoon im going over to her house for a while, and im going to ask her out (we've already kissed and stuff). now one of my friends we'll call mitchell gave this other guy we'll call adam her email address n they were talking on msn, and i used to be best friends with adam about a year ago but he started being a real ****head so i stopped talking to him. well mitchell told me that adam he started cracking onto her, now i know that he knows i like her, and im worried that she might start liking him instead, but im pretty sure that she won't,
now my question.. what could i do to make her stay with me, and not pay attention to adam, should i tell her how i feel about him? or something like that.

Honesty is the key. Being honest is always the first thing a girl looks for in a relationship. Problem is, how are you supposed to be honest with her, without having her think you are jealous.
For starters, don't tell her how you feel about Adam. No girl wants her boyfriend to control who she hangs out with or who she doesn't hang out with. Last thing a girl wants is a controlling boyfriend. secondly, ask her out before Adam does. Even if you think she might not like him, you never know what odd thing will come into the picture.

I am 25 and have been in a relationship for two and half years. I recently told my girlfriend that I would be leaving for a week on a trip with my parents. She has a big test to give while I'm gone. This has led to her getting very upset with me and I believe she is now deciding on whether she wants to continue a relationship with me or not. I feel sad/awful/confused. I don't know what to do... If it is only a week, I don't see why its a big deal to her. She should let you have a trip with your parents, otherwise, she is being very selfish.Its perfectly normal to feel the way you feel because you love her so much. If I were you, I would tell her that it would only be for a week and that you guys can talk online, etc. If you want this relationship to last, she is going to have to deal with you going out of town, even if its just for a week with you're parents. If you two end up getting married, there is going to be a lot of traveling due to business, etc. So I guess it is great to start practicing now. Get me?

Christmas, I'm guessing, is celebrated by non Christians because of its spirit. For example, people act much nicer, right? They buy presents, sing, dance, and have parties. I guess non Christians just want to be able to celebrate that too. Every person has a thirst for joy and happiness but the only way we can quench it is through God. Some people have not realized it yet. So whether or not we are Christians, Christmas is celebrated because of the kindness and their thirst for joy and happiness.

My girlfriend just broke up with me because im starting to act like her. The truth is i just do the same things she does. Ive been like this for a long time. But she says its creepy and that its over. And yeah i want to cry but then again I'm wondering if that's a justified reason to break up with me, She told me not even 6 hours ago that she loves me and I'm her world and she wants to live by me. Son, the truth is you are in love with her. You do the same things she does to help fill in that empty hole in your heart. You need someone who has a shoulder you can cry on. This girl is probably really selfish. It is not creepy, you need to find a girl who knows that is it just love. I do not know why about 6 hours ago she said she loves you, who knows, maybe she really does. Maybe she realized that just then. But truth be told, you don't need that hurt. You shouldn't cry for someone whom you can't even trust what they say. Best thing to do is to move on. If you guys are meant to be together, then destiny with conquer. But for now, your only 15. lol..this question is sort of contradictory.
I agree that you should go with the flow..but planning is an important aspect. I guess going with the flow just means...doing something when you cross that bridge. Which can sometimes be foolish..but..i dont know.
Just ease up...relax...and take life as it comes...

I have loads of ideas what to get get my boyfriend for Christmas. I want to get him some aftershave, however, I'm not sure which one. I'm not that familiar with men's aftershaves, so does any guy have any suggestions of nice smelling ones? I don't want to end up going round to every shop that sells fragrance and smelling all of the guys ones! my boyfriend and i have been going out for almost 5 months now. hes 16/m and i'm 17/f.
the only thing we have done is made out. and i dont think im even that good, at all. we haven't done it alot, but yeah. anyways, his ex girlfriend gave him a hj, and i dont feel like i NEED to give him one, but I kind of want to. but heres the thing..
1. i would feel guilty because my parents didnt bring me up that way, and i am not going to have sex until im marries or at least engaged or if i know im going to marry the person.

excercise more...cardio...light weight training
remember..u get out..what you put in...if you put in hard work and effort..it will show :)

At my church they do this thing where they send 500 dozen cookies to a local jail for the holidays, to inmates. At first I used to be like.. why are they giving homemade cookies to bad guys? Until I asked someone today at church and they said its so that they can be guided into Christianity hopefully for a better life. So that makes sense to me, and I'd feel good knowing that I could have impacted someone's life like that. I'm only making 2 dozen of them, though. I'm Roman Catholic.. so what religious phrases could I put on the cookies? Idk what to use to write on them, too... like frosting I guess? Anyone with other creative ideas please tell. and please tell me like several quotes I can use to inspire people that like it can get better and everything and they will always be accepted in the church and they can repent and all that.. thanks so much! im not sure what the kiwee toolbar is to be honest. But i do know how to uninstall toolbars in general. First, if all you want to do is not see it then open IE, go to tools, then toolbars, then uncheck the kiwee toolbar. If you want to completely uninstall it, then go to start, then control panel, then programs, then uninstall a program, then find the kiwee toolbar, then press uninstall/remove. This is assuming your on vista. Hope i helped :)

I have a 1 1/2 month puppy, weighs aprox. 13 lbs. I just took him outside, and I was holding him probley 5'6" of the grond, and he jumped and landed on his neck. He looks fine, he got up and sort of shook his head and stuff. THen he went back to just running around. I feel horrible though!!! Is he fine? (link)

he should be...if he was hurt enough to feel it, he wouldnt have shooken his head, and he definitely wouldn't have carried on running. If he shows any signs of pain, or hurting, then see a vet.

I recently bought an iPod Touch and I love it! :D I just don't understand how to connect to a WiFi network. :\ I've been trying for the past couple of days and it's really frustrating me. D: Please don't answer this question if you truly don't know what you're talking about... Does anyone know how to connect to a network? I've searched all over the internet, but I haven't found anything, or nothing has worked. I have a couple or few networks I see, but they're 'locked' and require a password. The thing is, what password?! I've heard it's like something that can be found on your wireless router or something? I don't understand it, I don't know what the password is? I've typed in several numbers/things I've found on my router but nothing has worked. (This is at my house) I constantly try to connect to a network, but all it says is "Unable to connect to ___ network". On one of my networks, when you press on that little arrow next to it, everything is blank. Is it supposed to be like that? Like the IP address, subnet mask, and router fields are blank and everything else too. I also see this other network called 'default'.... It doesn't require a password, and I can connect to it which is weird. I can't access the internet, or browse the app store or anything though... So if anyone can help me and/or explain WiFi to me, it would be a great help!! Thanks! (link)

do you have a wireless router? The password is set by people who have a router, and dont want other people to use it. You need to find your network...you should know the name? If your network is not shown, your wireless connection probabaly isnt working. If you dont have a wireless router, or network...you have two choices: 1. try and steal other people's 2. live without wireless around your home.
