I've never drank, smoked, or done drugs.
I feel like a loser, ALL my friends do stuff like this, cause in my town, everyone just does. I don't want to risk getting in trouble so I don't. I don't cuss, do sexual things other then making out, and I'm afraid to do crazy things with my friends. I won't sneak out with them, or like steal road signs. I just feel retarded and immature around all of them, everyone treats me like a baby, I've even been threatened a few times for being too "good." What should I do? I'm friends with almost everybody in my small town, so theres no one to go to.

hey I can relate & i know a lot of people like you. I've kinda been on both sides. what you should do is not do all those things but don't look like a parent or go tell. if you're just cool with it or say you don't care then they won't treat you like a baby. as long as you dont tell on them, they'll be ok with you. you're not a dork, you are just a cautious person and that is fine!

this isn't like an urgent question or anything but can anyone (sophmores,upperclassmen, younger siblings,college attendies, anyone)give me more info on freshmanizing?

When I was a freshman, the upperclassmen called me a fresh-more. this is how i did it:
-talk to them when you think they want to talk to you. at lunch everyday is not a good idea.
-don't be annoying. don't go on and on talking when people kinda want you to shut up.
-don't have this "i'm just as good as those upperclassmen" attitude. they don't like it.
-go with the flow. don't call your mom to make decisions.
-make friend with a few upperclassmen you know. be nice and mature and all will be good. don't just hang out with freshmen. for theater...there was always a group of freshmen that would be annoying to everyone. even if some of them weren't, we still categorized them at the stupid annoying freshmen. (yes, i know i was one of them)
-don't go on and on about your gradeschool years. move on, high school is better.
-be yourself. really. you will make friends. you don't want to be with a crowd that likes the show you put on.
-speak up. don't be completely shy and silent. people like that don't usually make many friends.
-have a good time.

i like him so much i just dont know what to do he says he likes me and will never leave me but he always hugs my friends and he always brings my friend heather up for everything he says how he wants me to have her attitude but he would never go out with her or whatever and says she is too young but its hard for me to believe him what should i do?

If he likes you... chances are, he does. he might be trying to fit in with your friends and stuff. as long as he's not all over her all the time i don't see anything wrong with it. be yourself no matter what attitude he wants you to have. if you want to, break up with him but i don't really see what he's doing that so wrong besides the heather thing. personally, hugging your friends is not bad but that's just me.

Okay so here is the deal. My dad is a very strick parent, especially when it comes to me and boys. 15/f Many of the boys in my grade are scared to call and come over my house for that reason. Also, a lot of boys have said to me that they would go out with me if my dad was not as tough. It bothers me that my dad is interfearing with my sexual and social life with boys. Not to be cocky but i am a beautiful thin girl who many guys would love to be in a relationship with. I dont know if there is anything i can do to help the situation. My dad will not give in. Do you guys have any helpful words for me? oh and its not like on the level of sex or anything. just holding hands is not in the question. I really need help and have been dealing with this problem for the past 3 years of my life. I just need some comforting words

Hey, i have a dad like yours. think of it as a good thing... if the guy isn't man enough to call you, he probably shouldn't be with you. If he's afraid your dad will find out about something sexual you did, it's because you know you probably shouldn't be doing it. get my drift? they know your dad won't approve of what they are doing. if they are truely good, worthwhile guys, they won't have anything to hide and can deal with your father. don't have them over then... go to the movies with some friends, meet up with the guy, hold hands there. i think you need to earn you're dad's trust and stop dwelling on it. you can't change his behavior, only yours. is he always around? what does your mom have to say about this? it's mainly about trust. if you are the oldest or only girl, you're going to have to ease him into the idea of dating. it won't be easy or quick but i guess in the end it'll be worth it.

I went to the dermatologist about a month ago and he perscribed me minocycline 100mg before bed. when i wake up in the morning, i am so dizzy. he told me that there was a slim chance that that would happen. It eventually passes after about 2-3 hours after i wake up. im afraid that when school starts and i have to walk to class that im gonna get dizzy. i have 5 pills left until my next refill. which means that ill take my last pill on July 30th. i dont know if this would help but im 15/f. I have an appointment to see my dermatologist on august 30th. and one more refill until then. i know that when i take myself off of this medication, the dizziness will stop. So i know it wont affect me long-term. so what should i do?

hey i'm in the EXACT same situation! i'm supposed to take it twice a day. He told me it was for the summer mostly because I can still be in the sun while i'm taking it so i think once school starts, they will take you off of it. It's one of the side affects... what i do is probably not right in medical terms... but i take it once every other day when i know i won't need to feel my best. or i just don't take it. I've been procrastinating on it but i think you should call your derm and ask them to take you off of it and prescribe something else.

yes, it's known to make you tired, happy, etc.

13/f .. This is my 8th grade year of cheerleading , but we don't have to try out to be on the team or anything , but I would like to make LaSalle Cheerleading, and you have to be required to do some flips and toe touches. I would like to know how to get a toe touch down , like a good one .. I got one year ... And would I look incrediably stupid if I decided to start gymnastics? I'm not flexiable at all && I can't even do a kartwheel. Thankss =)

my friend did that last year and she had some gymnastics backround but not much then she made a team so i guess it was worth it. stretch everyday of course and work on it.

I asked a question about how much to pack, and this is what I plan on packing. I'm going away for 5 days.

7 tank tops & shorts sleeved shirts
5 pairs of shorts
1 mini skirt just in case
3 pairs of flip flops (I'm not gunna wear sneakers.)
11 pairs of underwear
1 face cloth
1 hair straightner
tons of earrings necklaces bracelets etc.
all my make up (mascara eyeliner lipgloss etc)
1 pair of sunglasses
3 bras
purses cell phone ipod all that good stuff
1 sweatshirt (its warm there)
3 bathing suits
3 pairs of pajamas
tooth brush and tooth paste
a hair brush and a few elastics and headbands
shaving cream and razor

Does that seem like enough stuff for 5 days of vacation? Or do I need more of something or did I pack too much? Or did I completely forget something?

i think you have a little too much. most people (i don't know about you) wear things more than once before its "dirty". it depends where you're going... if its somwhere you'll get dirty/muddy you might need more. this is what i would pack:
3 tank tops, 2 shirts
1 pair of flipflops that match all your clothes (black or white works)
6-7 pairs of underwear
1 face cloth, straightner
some jewelry that matches your clothes... not so much it weighs you down.
2 bras (you dont need many if you're in a bathing suit all the time)
purse: throw in hair tie, cell phone, bobby pins, lipgloss and ipod
2 bathing suits (i guess 3 is ok?)
toothbrush & paste
hairbrush and all that good stuff
shaving cream & razor
*travel size shampoo & deoderant
as for the makeup... bring stuff that goes together well so you dont need to bring it all. if you're swimming a lot you wont wear it that much and you'll just be carrying it around.
try to get a color scheme... if you wear greens and browns... bring khakis and jeans and brown eyeshadow. see what i mean? it will save you space! have fun!

Well, every single day, i'm left all alone at my house. My mom goes to work, and my brother is at camp, and my other brother is in the army.

Since i cant get a job, and my friends can never hang out, i was wondering, what are some fun things that I can do while i'm alone.

i'm in a similar situation... watch tv, talk on the phone, talk online, make/use myspace (make layouts, icones) take pictures, run somewhere, learn to make a hemp necklace and make them for your friends, organize the beads you put on them by color, read a book, look through a magazine, make collages, go to craftster.org and get inspiration to make or decorate something, bake, clean/rearrange your room, go to a pool, make some new friends and hang with them, watch some movies, organize your jewelry box, decorate school supplies for next year, go on sites to see what clothes you want for next year to make shopping easier, make a mix cd for someone, learn to do something, kick a ball around outside, give advice on here, make a xanga and write in it... anything else, lemme know.

uhh how bad is drinking for you actually? I'm 15 I drink almost every day but I'm pretty much an honor student so I don't get it what's so bad with it?

It depends on how much you drink. It's not all about how bad it is for you... all the things they say that happen, happen mostly when you're drunk so if you drink a little, you're not at risk for them. it damages your liver in the long run though. let me know if you need anything else.
