I'm a teenager. I am thinking about applying for a job at McAlister's Deli. This will be my first job, so I'd like a little advice. I can work pretty much any day of the week except for Mondays, and I'm a "good kid." However, my family is going on vacation for a week over spring break. How do employers generally handle that? How should I approach the situation? Would this make them not hire me? Should I wait until after spring break to apply? Thank you!
I read Dear Abby every day (yes I am freaking weird) and a question with an extremely similar situation came up a few years ago. She said that the proper thing to do is to let them know up front about it. It's completely out of your control anyway, so this won't bother them.
They'll appreciate you notifying them in the beginning rather than having it come out if they need you during the week.

Well, i was having sex with this guy and its not the first time ive been with him, but we didnt have a condom. He said he didnt mind and he would just go in me, and i am not on any birth control or anything and he knows that. He said it was up to me, and he said he really wants to. Other times when we've had sex, he would always hint it, or say something like, "I just want to go in you so bad" or something along those lines.
What does this mean exactly? Is there something he is trying to tell me? Were any of you in this situation before? Or guys, did you do something like this? Why did you?

The only people that can approve questions are L2s and above. If you look at the last time some of them have updated, you'll notice that a majority come to the site rarely or not at all. This leaves all the questions that need approval to 3 or 4 people, who obviously are not constantly on the site. This results in some backup.

Hello! I'm on my school's student council- and our Winterfest week is coming up. My committee is "Spirit Week" so we have to come up with some spirit days. We have 3 right now and we need 5 total.

I am taking my road test in a few days, and I want to know how I can prepare myself to not be so nervous on the road.
I have driven my required 50 hours with my parents, and I feel very confident, but I just want to make sure that I don't get nervous, because I get nervous about everything.
Any long-time drivers out there who have some advice on how to remain relaxed and calm at the wheel, but still very alert?

On the day of your test, show up about 45 minutes early and just drive around the area near the DMV. Chances are you'll be driving those streets or similar streets for your test. This definitely helped me pass my test.

which one's easier... ACT or SAT??
It's a personal choice, but I found the SAT to be much easier.
The ACT has a science section, which is extremely difficult (at least it was to me). The SAT has no science section. The ACT has one 5 minute break in the middle of the entire test, which makes it extremely exhausting. The SAT has numerous 5 minute breaks throughout, which help you stay sane.
The main factor in deciding though, is the placement of the essay. In the ACT, the essay is at the end. After all the multiple choice drivel, when your mind is mush... you have to write an essay. For the SAT, it's the first thing you do, right at the beginning, so you get it out of the way.
Supposedly the ACT is supposed to be easier if you're better at Reading and Writing, but I didn't find that to be true. If I could go back I wouldn't take the ACT at all; the SAT is just a better experience. I mean, both totally blow, but the SAT blows less.

The inability of people here to apply other questions to their own is disturbing and pathetic. If you've seen this question hundreds of times before, I would hope you would either;
a) read the answers to them, or
b) not do something that would result in you adding to the questions.

I just got an iPod, and I'm realizing how much it costs to buy songs. It's so expensive, so I'm wondering, does everyone buy there songs like this and pay full price for each song? No, a lot of people borrow albums from their friends and get the mp3 files into their iTunes or they pirate their music outright, either through P2P networks or torrents.
