I have a new boyfriend who I love very much but I still think about my ex alot. I think it's normal, especially if this person was your first love. When we first broke up, I used to obsess over him and think about him in a romantic sense. Obviously I don't think about him like that anymore, but he was a very big part of my life for a significent amount of time and it's impossible to just forget someone ever existed. It does get easier over time, I promise that one day you'll think about him and realise you don't miss him anymore.

you'll know when you just stop thinking about him, and move on, or meet someone else you like more.

it depends on how long you date the person... some people you never truly get over, like first loves.

You're REALLY over him when the days where you can't stop thinking about him go away. Imagine that.

Cux answered Friday January 2 2009, 6:15 pm:
For the first few months after a break up, you will continually think about him.

After time, you'll stop thinking about him. If after like 5 or 6 months and you're still thinking about him, then you're probably not over him yet.

But it's perfectly normal to have days you think about him, and days you don't.

It should go away, though.
