okay so i like my best friend. he currently broke up with his girlfriend of 3 years. i've always heard he liked this girl who i am not fond of, her name is sammy. i just think he could do SO much better.

so i always ask if anything is going on between him and he says no, but you know when you can just tell? i feel like thats how it is...

last night i was with him and was like can i see your phone and he was like noooo!!(: and i was like why not. and he was like why so you can see if i was texting sammy? and he was like we're just best friends. and i was like OHHHH so now she's your best friend? guess were not best friends anymore. and he was like no linds, we are. me and her are just FRIENDS.

and he was like if i liked her we would be dating by now. and then i kept asking to see him phone and i think i went a little over the top. and he was like what are you jealous or something? and he was like i think you are! i really was jealous ahaha, but i was like no! i just want to make sure you're not talking to any dumb whores lol.

i think i went a little over the top though, borderline annoying. i feel really bad although he texted me before he went to bed and was like goodnight and everything but i still feel bad!

i still feel like he likes her, even though hes told me several times he doesnt. i feel like i dont believe him, when i should!

how can i get over this?

I'm not going to lie, I think it's nice that you want to make sure (even though this is a lie.. kind of) he's not texting anyone who you don't think is good for him (in the way that she could be a complete bimbo).

However, I don't think you have the right to go through his phone & be nosy. I understand you like him & don't think Sammy or whoever is good enough, but sorry to say - that isn't up to you. You can't just judge this girl without meeting her. If your friend likes her, you have to accept that - no matter how much you like him. Your friend would do the same thing for you, so you should do the same thing for him.

I know it can be hard to be supportive of the person you like when they like someone else (trust me, I've been there) but you can't dictate his life because that isn't your decision. You just need to remind yourself that maybe someday he'll see that it's you he should be with but for right now you need to respect him. He respects you, and you need to respect him back. He likes who he likes, and you can't do anything about it.

I wouldn't feel bad though. He sounds really forgiving about this whole thing & doesn't seem to mind. However, he could mind but doesn't wanna say anything about it. I would just text him tomorrow morning when you wake up & tell him again you're really sorry for acting the way you did. I'm sure he'll forgive you. Don't beat yourself up about it.

You need to tell him how you feel eventually though. Remember that.

I was with a boy for 7 months. Our relationship was great. We loved each other. However, he told me that he felt like he couldn't make me happy and I deserved better and dumped me. He broke my heart, however eventually I moved on and got over it. 5 Months pass by and he decides to re enter my life! Wanting to give things another try. I lost my virginity to this guy, therefore I feel so attached to him. I take him back and give him another try.
The 2 months we're together is awful. He didn't treat me nicely and refused to tell me he loved me. I told him we should end it. Another 2 months goes by.. and guess who decides to enter my life AGAIN! I was firm with him and told him I couldn't do this again. However, like an idiot I give in.
He told me things i've never heard him say before and that he really did love me blah blah blah.
We hang out again.. and he decides we should be "together" He told me he wants to take it slow to avoid hurting me again. Every time we hangout it gets sexual and we've been "together" now for 2 weeks. He doesn't text me too much. I wonder if
anything will change. My mind is so confused and
I just feel so attached to this kid. Any suggestions of what I should do?

No. Dump him. Nothing is going to change about him, ever.

He's just using you and taking advantage of you. He doesn't care about you and he probably never will. He's saying all this shit because he knows that you'll believe him. Kick him to the curb, and don't give in to his pleas (of lies) anymore. He's a jerk & you shouldn't concern yourself with him.

Hello everyone. This question is more for guys, or for females who have faced similar circumstances. I'm open to any answers, but I really need a "personal experience" perspective, not an opinion, from a girl ;]


My boyfriend wears AWFUL jeans. Now, I'm not complaining, 'waaah I wanna change my man and he wears loose jeans'. No. He's worn the same jeans for five years. Literally.These jeans have missing pockets, are ripped beyond recognition, and have paint splatters from his job (which is putting it nicely. There's more paint than jean in some cases)


I don't have issues in that he still wears them. It's the fact that he wears these jeans when he go out on dates that bothers me. Would it be out of line to buy him new jeans? I know his size, and what brands he likes. And I wouldn't be forcing him to throw out jeans he loves- I know that men refuse to throw anything out that they think is comfortable (my dad's the same way, as is every other male I know). I just want my boyfriend to look nice when we're out!


So, guys, would you be mad if your girlfriend bought you a new pair of jeans and asked you to wear them when you were on a date?

I think if I did that for my boyfriend, he'd be flattered that I took the time to think of him & even spend my money on him.

I don't think your boyfriend should see a problem with it. Just tell him that those are the jeans he should wear when going out, and that the ones that are his favorite are for the house or a friend's or something.

If you want to go ahead, I agree with what someone mentioned below. I'd buy him a whole outfit. Probably just a button up shirt and shirt to go under or something.

My best friend told me she liked to watch things that starred Cary Grant. I thought I might buy her something for her birthday that stars the actor. Well, the problem is that I don't really know who Cary Grant actually is. I mean, I just assume he's an actor.

My friend was talking about how Smokey Bear (you know, "Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires" or "Only You Can Prevent Wild Fires" or whatever) was officially 65 today. I am curious though is Smokey the Bear was or is a real bear in actuality? I know that the bear on TV is so fake but did Smokey Bear really exist at some point? Like, was the character guy based on a real bear or anything?

No, there wasn't.

None. He's a fictional character that was thought up to prevent people damaging nature with their careless ways. So no, he's fake, and he doesn't exist as a real bear.

ok so i started gettin my peirod when i was like 12. im 14 now and i have never had sex but my peirods stopped. what does that mean?

Periods are irregular for the first few years. Sometimes they'll come and sometimes they won't. It doesn't mean anything is wrong with you. That's just how periods are. I wouldn't worry about it too much (stress & worry can delay them). You're fine. :)

It's soo annoying. This guy who I'm friends wit, on friday, said he'd text me on Sunday. So, I was waiting for a text..and got nothing. I hate always having to text first. Why do guys do that!?!?!

He could've forgotten. He could've been busy. You can't assume that just because he didn't text you that he doesn't like you. And you can't expect him to text you just because he says he will. People forget and things come up. You can't be mad at him for having things to do. Besides, you shouldn't even be waiting by the phone. I know you like him, but to me (and no offense) that seems desperate. Always waiting by the phone just kind of sets yourself up for being upset when he doesn't call/text.

Honestly, he just probably forgot or had something to do. If you don't wanna text first, then don't. He'll text you eventually. Your life isn't over.

We are expecting our first child and need baby name help. My husband and I have chosen not to find out the sex of our baby until he/she has been born. We have some names we like, but we aren't 100% sure on any of them. We thought maybe someone could suggest some that they really enjoy and let us know what they thought about some of ours.

I think some of the names you've picked don't really go together. I like the first names and the middle names, just not together. You should probably find names that go to better together.

I really like the names Claire & Madison. Anna's a cute name too. However, none of the other names really stand out to me.

As far as the boy names you've chosen, I like the names John, Michael, James & Austin. But, I like the Jon spelling of John.

I saw somebody listed before me the name Alexander for a boy, and I think that's completely adorable. Here are some boy & girl names I really like:

I want to get ear gauges. However, my parents think it's a dumb idea and I won't ever be able to get a job with them. They believe that they won't heal back if I decide to take them out. They say I can have them when I move out, but I know I won't want them then.

How do I convince my parents to let me get them?

I'm going to have to side with your parents.

While it looks appealing now, it won't when you're older. The bigger you get them, the less of a chance there is of them healing & getting back to normal. Obviously the smaller the whole is, the easier the chance it has of healing. I wouldn't take the chance.

Like a person mentioned below, most if not all places will be against visible tattoos & piercings. You need to remember that you're almost of age to get a job and when you have a job, you represent the company. Visible tattoos & extreme piercings won't represent them well. The only places that I know of that don't really care when it comes to that type of stuff are Hot Topic, Zumiez & Pac Sun.

You also represent your parents from the time you're born until the time you die. You need to remember that not everything is about you and that if your parents say NO then it means NO. You cannot change their mind, you cannot convince them. Their mind is made up. You have to accept that.

Every guy has a different preference when it comes to girls being shaved or not. Honestly, I'd ask his preference. If you're too shy to, just leave it & if he gets grossed out, then obviously he isn't the one for you. A guy who truly loves you won't care if you're shaved or not. :)

You can download Limewire or Frostwire for free & then download the song there. Make sure you have more than 1 song for the CD though because just putting 1 song on a blank & then burning it would be a waste of 80 mins and money.

You really have to talk with her about this. You can't just let yourself go on feeling this way because it'll only get worse.

Tell her how you feel. If she likes you, then she likes you & there's nothing to feel guilty about. Maybe you just need reassurance, and that's okay because everyone needs it every once in a while. :)

I don't think 2 years is a big difference unless the age difference is illegal. I think if your dad already likes him, then you don't have a problem. There's a chance he may flip out, yes, but there's also a chance that he won't react & will be accepting. Give your father a little more credit.

I'm 18/f and have wanted a tattoo for quite some time.

I've always wanted a short quote along the side of my foot, and there are only 2 things stopping me.

I'm not very pain-tolerant, and I know the foot is one of the most painful places to get a tattoo, and the easiest to get an infection. I've done my research. Also, the quote I used to want is much too long to get on my foot.

So here are my questions:

Does anyone know and good, short-esque quotes you could get tattooed along the side of your foot? [If you've seen a tattoo you think is awesome (small tattoo!) and it's not a quote, feel free to share that too]

And, just in case I decide that I'm much too pain intolerant to get it on the side of my foot, what are some other, less painful places to get a quote tattoo? Make sure it's a place that can be easily covered when I enter my career (I'm in college to become a teacher).

I'm not going to get one unless I'm positive, but there's nothing wrong with getting suggestions.

Maybe you could put something that you live by as your tattoo. What is your personal philosophy? What's a quote that you make sure rings true by the way you live your life?

I would suggest doing something like that. If it's something you live by, it's a tattoo you'll be confident about, and proud of.

For placing, I would probably suggest your shoulder blade. It's easy to cover up but you may need a little bit of help taking care of it. I think the foot is a good place and while it's painful, definitely worth it. I have a small tattoo on my wrist. It hurt for me (my wrists are bony) but it could work. If it's small enough, it won't be too noticeable & would definitely work for a school setting. :)

i'm writing a novella about an arranged marriage long story short. the two are learning about each other each day they spend together - and i'm thinking of using the title "Dazzle Me" - as in like, win me over, etc. would you read this if you saw this title on a book?

To be honest, it makes me think of Edward Cullen.

im noticed that ebay sells cars, everyone is telling me that its a bad idea but the ones im looking at are from used car dealerships and they have a 100.00% rating and have had all good commments. is this something i should just forget about or do you think it would be okay?

I wouldn't trust it. Sometimes E-Bay does not have legit sellers & that makes it very easy to get scams. Sometimes scams are easy to point out and sometimes they're not. Most of the time when you send a person your money (when it's a scam) they take it & send you nothing. So you don't get whatever you think you're paying for.

I'd say www.craigslist.org would be a better deal because the exchanges are in person, but even that's not safe because you never know who you're going to meet & whether they're dangerous or not. I would suggest that you go to an actual dealership & purchase a vehicle. That way you know that the person is legit & that you're actually getting the car before you hand over any money.

Definitely don't try and buy a car over E-bay. It'll never happen & you'll get conned out of your money.
