Help us find a good baby name for our first child?
Question Posted Sunday August 9 2009, 11:24 pm
We are expecting our first child and need baby name help. My husband and I have chosen not to find out the sex of our baby until he/she has been born. We have some names we like, but we aren't 100% sure on any of them. We thought maybe someone could suggest some that they really enjoy and let us know what they thought about some of ours.
Baby names we like so far...
Baby boy names:
Michael David
John Patrick
James Paul
David Austin
Baby girl names:
Grace Anne
Madison Faith
Anna-Claire
Elisa Grace
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
We like sweet, old-fashioned names, and traditional names mainly.

christina answered Monday August 10 2009, 5:49 am: I think some of the names you've picked don't really go together. I like the first names and the middle names, just not together. You should probably find names that go to better together.
I really like the names Claire & Madison. Anna's a cute name too. However, none of the other names really stand out to me.
As far as the boy names you've chosen, I like the names John, Michael, James & Austin. But, I like the Jon spelling of John.
I saw somebody listed before me the name Alexander for a boy, and I think that's completely adorable. Here are some boy & girl names I really like:
Boys:
Robert
Daniel
Cullen - No, I'm not saying it because of Twilight. My boyfriend's brother in law's dad is named Cullen and I find it a really nice name.
Justin
Cameron
Girls:
Paige
Elizabeth
Rae
Jennifer
Kimberly
I think those names are really cute, and can even be used together as first & middle names. If you'd like to see a site of babynames, there's this one:
I'd also suggest borrowing the baby name book from the library. I looked through it once for fun and it had some really exotic names. I'm sure you'll find something you like. Good luck & congratulations! [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]
