"LOVE YOU"....best friend.

Question Posted Sunday August 9 2009, 11:57 pm

19/female. my best friend is 18/m

i have a lot of love for my best friend!

we've been friends for like 6 years now.

i have a crush on him too =p

but anyways! how can i tell him that i like, love him. i'm not IN love with him, but i love him as my best friend!?

i don't want to just say like "i love you" because that will probably come off wrong to him.

i hope you guys understand!

I understand what you mean. And the best thing to do is to just sit him down and tell him. It might be embarrassing to do it face to face so try emailing or maybe even calling him and explain your feelings he might feel the same exact way about you but too afraid to mention it. Trust me guys can be such weinies lol

Well since you have a crush on him if you want to tell him your feelings it might be better if you started with i like you haha to keep things less serious at first.. but if you want to say i love you and mean it as just a friendship then make sure to say "i love you, youre my best friend:)"

i deffinately understand because ive been in the same position. i have a habbit of liking my best friends :)

well good luck!

erinn:)

Jack is absolutely right. Heck, I tell Jack I love him sometimes, but that doesn't mean I'm IN love with him.

I don't think it's a big deal if you say it in a friends way. It's actually kind of nice (to me, at least) when my friends tell me they love me (in the friends way, of course.) But like Jack said, if you mean it romantically, I wouldn't just spit it out at him.

Some girl best friends tell me they love me all the time, but that doesn't mean they like me.

And I'm sure there's been a girl or two that has liked me, but still said "I love you".

Friendship love is different than romantic love.

If you're going to say I love you, it should really depend on what love it is.

I wouldn't say it if it's romantic from your end.
I would say it if it's friendship.
