I have Bipolar 1 Disorder. I hate taking all these medications and always going to doctors appointments, but life is too short to let mental illness get the better of me.


Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.


Thank all that is good in the world that I have an excellent support system at home.

Alright, so this is the first Valentines day I'll have a boyfriend, and I have NO IDEA what to get my boyfriend...hes really sweet and I love him to death but he is the hardest person to shop for. He spent alot of money on my christmas present and I feel bad...so I wanted to get him something really memorable for Valentines day. Hes kinda a redneck and likes outdoorsy stuff. i recently asked a quistion, about my mom being mad that i had sex. Ok well, last night I found out that mydad knows, and my mom says i broke his heart.and also that if he ever saw my bf agin, hed kill him. And that my bf and my bfs mom were going to get an earful.so what do i do now? My bf, his mom, and i are all hated. and if not me, then how do I save this relationship? ok well im having a sweet 16 in february and well im sortve stressing about the invites because of the fact that not everyone is invited from my school and i dont want the word to get out about the party because then those who werent invited will plan to crash it or talk shitt and i really dont need that stress right now im going through enough already and i just dont know what to do i cant just invite everyone but i dont know how to go about doing this quiet if itll get out eventually ughh some one whos been in my situation please help or tell about what happened after wards

Don't fret. Like said before me, invite those who are important to you- folks who are actually your friends.
I also agree that if people are going to talk, they are going to talk. Not much you can do about it but realize they WILL get over it.
Party crashers? Let your folks deal with that. If people start busting in on the party and trying to ruin things, your folks will see to it they are escorted out, one way or another.

My birthday is coming up and my parents said that they would get me a new camera for it because the one i have now was a freebe. Basically, I want to know which cameras you have PERSONALLY used and are really good. What brands are good as well also?

I use a Kodak Easy Share. It has always been a great camera and takes good pictures.
Downfall is it cost aprox. $400 to get the camera and accessories needed.
We got a larger memory card that I couldn't imagine filling. It holds something like 400 still pictures and 1 hour of video.

I assume you are talking about the Slim Jim beef sticks? They won't hurt your dog, but they are loaded with fat and grease. Some dogs' stomaches can't handle high fat and grease.

Something that would be a similar treat for your dog you can get in the pet isle is Pup-aroni (I think that is how it's spelled). It is a red bag full of meat sticks that don't have all of the fat that Slim Jims have.

Mainly, though, stuff with fat and grease in them won't hurt your dog unless their stomach happens to be sensitive to it. However, such things should be given sparingly, because it can cause unhealthy weight gain.

Okay so, my friend does hooka. I know it's a drug, but it's legal if you are 19 or something...right? Well, she is 15 and her and some of her other friends went to the hooka bar. [never been there in my life cuz i'm not that kinda girl] She told me she wasn't gonna do it again, just a one time thing because she was curious...well, turns out she's doing it again next Saturday. And she was trying to entice me to do it, saying stuff like, "It was sooo relaxing, and it made you kinda dizzy. But then you went to the dancefloor and partied and everything, it was great!" and "you should try it, it would be cool of you." and I was just like..."nahh, I'm good." The I asked her if she was hooked on it, and she was like no...you can't get hooked on hooka. Is that true? [not that I am going to try it..ever.]
But now...you ahve to understand this, she has never been a druggie in her life! And she is now doing hooka, and she just told me that tomorrow she is trying weed. Like wtf, she is turning into a druggie, and I'm friends with some, so it's not like I'm against all of them, but why ruin your life? and why is she trying to get me to do all these drugs when I tell her NO?! I don't know why I'm mad at her, I feel betrayed, she said she wouldn't do that stuff, but next thing you know shes going to hooka bars and smoking weed. I need advice, I need SOMETHING, ANYTHING! comments or whatever would be great. thanks in super advance.

**EDIT** Smoking weed and smoking a hookah are 2 different things. I'm just trying to explain to you what a HOOKAH is, and that it is not illegal.

Like said below, you smoke a tobacco in a hookah. My husband owns a hookah.
What is smoked in it is a tobacco blended with molasses and flavoring. The tobacco my husband has actually smells and tastes like Kool-aid.
It does give you a funny head feeling, but that is most likely due to the amount of tobacco smoke you are sucking into your lungs in a short period of time. Tobacco rush- one gets that also from cigarettes, cigars, chew, and any other form of tobacco product.
No worries, she isn't a druggie, and she isn't smoking anything illegal unless she is of minor age.

Ok well my mom is an immigrant but i'm not. and she's been telling me about this lady at her work who is constantly like..i can't explain it, mocking her? Rudely teasing her? About some things but the most one i'm having issues with is her voice. She says that she makes rude jeers like "i'm sorry, WHAT?!" like in a rude way.

My mom's been living in canada for about 25 years now. She knows perfect english but ti's just that her voice and thick accent doesn't make her appear so. I don't know if there's anything they can do. She isn't exactly smart because she didn't go to school, she was a refugee so she isn't very smart form the education and the work isn't that great. There was a vice-president or high worker that was similar to the girl but he was fired for unknown reasons. I want to come to her work and just slap the bitch out of there but I obviously can't do that.

What can i do?

Sad fact: There will always be racist jerks who mock others, such as your mom. No matter what you say or do to such a person as this rude woman, nothing will change what she thinks or how she acts.

What you CAN do is choose to not allow people who are obviously blatant morons to effect your happy existence. I know, easier said than done, but by getting all worked up about it you are letting that asshole win. She is getting satisfaction she doesn't deserve. Her opinion only matters if you let it.

Try to keep in mind that your mom is good people. Yah, she may not have some big education, but she is far from stupid. I'm sure she's learned from more hard knocks than this woman will ever know in a lifetime.

My aunt's getting married in June and her dresses are so totally not even good. We tried our dresses on and I SWEAR it emphasises like every little piece of fat we have on our bodies. And they're a buttercup yellow and I have really dark haie and dark skin, how am I supposed to look good in this dress?

You just wear it because that is what the bride likes and chose. It's her day.

So my best guy friend of two years, who is pretty much feminine in all he does... likes me. I know for a fact that 99% of the people who look at him thinks he's gay. I went to high school with him! Well, first off, you shouldn't assume a person's sexual orientation by how they act. Yah, the guy may be in touch with his feminine side, but that doesn't mean he's gay.
There are lots of folks in the world who seem like they would be gay but aren't, and lots of folks who seem like they aren't gay but are.

As for not liking him as more than a friend, you need to just be honest with him. No matter how you go about it, he's probably going to have hurt feelings.
Just tell him, "Look man, we are friends and that is how I like it. I don't want to go further with the relationship."

ok well, whenever i think back to my childhood, it seems like i see myself, as if i were someone looking in on the situation, and not experiencing it. Like when i remember this one specific point of when i broke my leg -at about 5/6 years old, i had a cast on- i see myself walking in a blue t-shirt towards the door. Or at school when i was young, me sitting on the computer, not myself looking at the computer screen. why is this? is it a psycological thing?

I would imagine it is just the way you remember your past. I could be wrong, but that is my guess on it.
Personally, my memory is how I experienced it, through my own eyes, but that is just how my memory works.
My mom's aunt says she does not dream in color- she dreams in black and white, and always has. Doesn't have anything to do with your memories, but it goes to show how mysterious the brain is.

I need help ASAP.
I was talking to this guy for 3 months.
And it got kinda serious.
But he's like .. 3 yrs older than me.
So I knew it could never work.
But I very recently started dating my current boyfriend.
And when the kid i was talking to before found out, he flipped out.

Now he's on the phone saying "watch the news." He's had suicidal tendencies in the past and I know that's what he means.

And we're on the phone now and he's yelling at me. I don't think I could live with myself if he commited suicide because of me.

Advice on what to say/do?

My hair is always staticy. It never fails. Everyday I put lotion in it and it stays down for about 5 mins. Then it pops back in to static-mode. I hate it so bad. Is there anything I can do about this besides putting excess lotion and hairspray in my hair?

ok...so I am with this guy that I really do love but he has 2 big problems...his friends. When its just me and him together its great, but when we are around his friends they are always "cutting on me" and just being flat out jerks. My boyfriend tells them to stop but they don't listen and now him and his friends are fighting and I feel like its my fault. What should I do about all this??? my friend has colored contacts and she only wears them when shes not wearing her glasses. I was wondering, is there such thing as colored contacts that you can wear every once in a while, even if you have 20/20 vision. if there is such thing, is it bad for your eyes? what could it do to your eyes? and how much money would they be?

You can get non prescription contact lenses. You have to go through your optometrist, though.
No, they won't harm your eyes as long as you keep them cleaned like you're supposed to.

me and my boyfriend have sex alot and the last few times afterwards i got this gross bubbly thing on the outside of the bottom of my lips, and also he told me it smelled funny i dont know if its an infection or not.
And im going to the clinic on tuesday
and i wanted to get tested for different things such as aids and what not i wanted to know if when they do your checkup they can see what you have and dont have, or if i have to take a test to see if i have hiv or aids and etc

They generally do blood testing for HIV/AIDS.
They will possibly do a pap/pelvic exam and also test the cell scrapings, as well as a swab.

While at the clinic, ask if they offer free condoms. It is in your best interests to always practice safe sex.

I think Gracie Mae is just fine.
Grace would be fine to use as a shortened version of her name when she gets older if that is what she chooses.
Gracie is actually less common than Grace.
