Region’s characteristics: geography, climate, agriculture

China’s North has two very long and distinct seasons (winter and summer) with short transitional periods in between. Winters are dry and cold, with temperatures often below freezing. Summers provide intense heat and rain. Its diverse terrain (hills, valleys and rivers) give variety to the region’s agriculture.
Due to the extremely dichotomous climate, the land’s produce is hearty: mainstays of wheat and corn, especially important to the Northern China economy, dominate the northerner’s dietary needs. Crops are then manufactured into wheat-flour for use in common cuisine: noodles, stuffed buns, dumplings and steamed bread are just a few of the wheat products consumed in the provinces of this region. Although little rice is grown in this region, other hardy plants such as barley, millet, soybeans, cabbage, squash and apples predominately appear in northern Chinese agriculture and cooking."

That definitely sounds like cheating to me. How did you find out about what he did last night? Did he tell you that? Props to his honesty but that does not mean you should be obliged to stay in the relationship. He may continue to do the same things in the future and you don't want that. It'll just cause more heartbreak and heartache. I think you should break it off while you are still hurt by this one incident before anything worse happens. If you found this out from someone else, it may be a rumor. Ask him. If your good friend told you about it then, ask him about it as well. Hear his side of the story too, just to be fair. Damn. I can't believe you’re moving..
I was majorly shocked when you told me that around February/March. I am seriously going to miss you like a fat kid on a diet misses cake. Haha, cheesy. Also, I'm going miss your perkiness and your sense of humor. I’m really, really sorry when I tried to avoid you these days. When I tried to keep distance between you and me, I was just upset that you were leaving, and I didn’t really want to get close/attached or talk to you because of it, (obviously you noticed it and you were right) but I kept denying that I was trying to drift away from you. But now, I seriously regret doing what I did and I thought it was stupid for me to do that because all I did was waste time making myself more sad instead of spending time with you on your last days here. Anyway, I just want to thank you. I appreciate you for everything. You are one of the greatest persons I have ever met, and I remember how we met in eighth grade. It was during lunch when Jessica said hi to me and you said, “Hi, Ericka, I like you name.” And guess what? That was when I first saw Number One (the guy i like) and I thought he was cute so I had a eye on him but I stopped and you know why. ;) I learned whole lot from our deep talks, we are so experts in things like poetry, and poems. yes. there are a lot of kinds of smart. i'm not book smart. im not street smart because i dont live in the city either. however, helping people is what i would consider a great skill and you have just described how you can affect the world using your heart. there are social workers, translators, counselors, therapists, and other types of jobs and more you can look into, all very good jobs that involve compassion. but you want something bigger and better. i think that for example, a social worker, is just as good. in the long run you may help prevent crime in impoverished areas. im not sure what kind of job would run in the bigger levels. hopefully another user will provide more answers for you. doctors, lawyers, and journalists are jobs typically sought after and dreamed about, yes, but not all the options that are out there. not everyone is suited for those kinds of careers. your passion seems to be in helping people. i think it does take one person to save the world. that person may inspire others to do the same and produce a ripple effect that reaches out to the whole world. you never know!

how people act when they're high:

equally wrong. is saying nothing at all over lying as bad? people generally agree yes. whether passively or actively.. like lack of action or wrongful action the act is still bad. if you watch your friend murder your other friend and you dont say anything to justify the dead friend, it would be just as bad because you could have done something to make the situation right.

i understand where you are coming from. what she said was really disgusting, but morals are relative. everyone has a different definition of what is good and what is evil. not everyone agrees with all of society's standards. she may not think it's wrong while you (and many of us, im sure) do. in her mind, she is right for doing this. i guess she does not care either. or maybe she has a personal vendetta against jewish people (is that who we are talking about?) and wants revenge. on the whole race. because she thinks it will do her justice. hmm. or maybe she is a psychopath/sociopath or mentally ill.

hmm. i guess an object can be duplicated and replaced, but humans cannot. we are all unique. also we are living and once we die we cannot come back. humans are not interchangable like material objects, however much they cost or mean to someone. an object only has meaning because someone give it meaning.

both nature and nuture determine how a human is. the circumstances they are born into/ their environment are just as important as their genetics and predisoposition towards certain things. you cannot tell for sure what drives a person.

personally, i believe that people are both capable of good and evil. it depends how they are born and raised, both. in other words, society does impact a person a lot, but people also come into the world a certain way. both things mold us into who we are.

i dont think evil is exactly a flaw. morality is relative. what is evil to you may seem okay to me. like.. theres philosophy and ethics you can research about this stuff and lots of great literature out there about it. :D ask me if you have any more questions!

i think people need to stick to their own beliefs and think for themselves and stop getting influenced by the media.

also, education helps keeps things in check.

The point is that no Ivy League degree ever guaranteed anybody anything except short-term (and most likely long-term) branding of one's perceived quality or value as a person or an employee. There is no research that suggests a top-tier college degree provides more earning potential over a lifetime, more happiness, more insight, more knowledge, more self-worth, or more soulful quality living per-dollar-earned than any other school in the country.
