about
Hello! I am studying esthetics at an Aveda Institute after spending years in retail. I am proof that nothing turns out how you think it will, and that's a good thing. When you think you've got it figured out, you don't. Life would be boring otherwise, right?Makeup, skincare, and psychology are my passions and I'm also happy to give advice on relationships, particularly for teenagers (so many things I wish I could have told myself a decade ago!) I'm happy to help fellow abuse survivors as well.
I'm a diehard SF Giants fan and also enjoy watching the Sharks and Niners. Addicted to music, especially The Gaslight Anthem. Oh, and my name is Krista. :)

I do have boobs. But they are really small. And I have bras that make my boobs look bigger. But I want to know how to make my boobs look bigger in a swim suit. But I have a one piece not a two piece. So i asked my mom for a two piece because they come with padding. but she said no. how can i make my boobs look bigger in a one piece bathing suit?
Many one-pieces are formed or have padding. I bought this one at Target and I love it:
http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_5/602-2662952-4954264?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B000HZI6AO
Mine is a kind of cranberry color.
If your mom's objection to one-pieces is skimpiness, asking her about buying one with a skirt, such as this one:
http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_11/602-2662952-4954264?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B000MIKF14
http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_7/602-2662952-4954264?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B000MIIDOU
It doesn't look too great in the picture, but I have it and it just looks like I'm wearing a micromini skirt.
Well im going to my first job interview this sunday and im really nervous im scared if i stuff up or something any advice? anyone know what questions they'll ask its at dominos pizza by the way

You shouldn't worry too much, at a casual place like that it won't be hard and they don't have a lot of requirements. When I applied to Walgreens they asked me when I was available and that was it.
Wear something medium-nice, a blouse, dress pants, and flats. It'll make you feel better.
Ask happy and confident, even if you're not. They want reliable, dependable people.
Possible questions:
Why do you want to work at Domino's?
When are you available to work?
how do you say "much" in French?
It depends on the sentence. Generally speaking, you can use "beacoup" but it's not always gramatically correct. Depending on what you're trying to say, it goes in a different part of the sentence.
I like him very much.
Je l'aime beacoup.
She talks too much.
Elle dit trop.
Much love
Beacoup d'amour
Much of/a lot of
Beacoup de
And it's pronounced "bow (like the hair accessory)- coo). Hope that was understandable, lol.
Today I put on a pair of navy pants a red tee-shirt that has long sleeves and over that a blue and white stripped tee shirt. It was pretty. Any way around 10:30am my time my mother came into tell me something and that is when she asked me if I liked what I was wearing (and she already knew about a half hour what I was wearing). She said it is beautiful, but way out, but she wouldnt wear it. She kept giving me mixed messages - that it is beautiful, but she wouldnt wear it and do I really like it, and would I wear it to the restaurant that we were going to today with my sister, brother-in-law, and my 2 nephews. So my Mom said to me "Let me ask you something would you wear that to go to Peter Lugers Restaurant". I called her a b*tch and a retard among other things. She also said to me; That I know why you are wearing it, but I dont know if others would understand. But you are not a teenager any more. (I am 52) And of course we said mean things to one another.
She only criticizes my outfits once-in-awhile, but one of the things that went thru my mind is I still felt like I didnt know how to dress. Did I overreact to her original comment which was do you like what you are wearing? And how would you have handled it. (I liked my outfit and I didnt like my outfit.)
I think you may have overreacted, but that was kind of rude of her. Personally my feelings would have been hurt because it does sound as though she is criticizing you. She may have just thought the outfit was inappropriate for the occasion, however she could have said it a different way. You might consider asking her to, in the future, just tell you straight if she thinks an outfit isn't appropriate for somewhere you're going. Try to ignore comments like "I wouldn't wear it"- you're not her, and since she's older she has a different sense of style. You probably shouldn't have called her those names, however.
Personally, I would have said, "Why don't you like my outfit?" If she had a real reason (it was too tight or skimpy to wear to a family dinner) then I would consider her opinion, if not (she thinks it doesn't match) then I would tell her that I respect her opinion, but I like the outfit and want to wear it.
Please answear this question
What charity would you like to support and why?
Project(RED) is a good charity, but they do make a decent amount of money. They sell the products that say Inspi(red), Desi(red), Bo(red), etc. I really think AIDS is the most important thing that needs to be dealt with right now and this charity is for real.
Just in general, it's good to do some investigating, many charities simply keep profits.
ok so ive gotten like a billion emails about this hoodia thing. it seems like it really works and i want to lose some weight so does anyone know if it works? has anyone tried it? pros cons?
thankyou
The last I heard, there was talk about banning hoodia, it's extraordinarily unhealthy and expensive. It can damage your liver and hasn't been approved by the FDA.
http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com/articles-submit/mike-adams/hoodia-gordonni-diet-pill.htm
I don't recommend it unless you are severely overweight (over 250 pounds). Cutting down on carbs and sugar is a lot easier and keeps the weight off long-term. If you're willing to spend money, try Jenny Craig or Nutrisystem.
I'm really insecure and self-contious about dancing. Whenever I'm at a school dance I try to avoid dancing as much as I can and it's not fun. I've actually stayed home from 5 dances in a row because I'm afraid to dance in front of people. Why? Because I can't dance.
Taking dancing lessons is not an option. I just wanna learn how to have fun and look good and know that I don't look like an idiot. Does anyone have any like easy to follow instructions or online videos that are easy to learn? I can't buy anything.
Any answers are appreciated. Thank you so much.
Try the video Neon's Belly Dance Party, you can get it on amazon.com or Netflix. They're very easy moves in simple routines and I usually use the routines while dancing, it looks natural and not like you're doing something choreographed, it worked for me.
Also, while at dances, try watching what other people are doing and trying it.

I was on a website and I posted a picture of me and asked for opinions on what people thought of it. I'm the type of person who can handle any and all opinions no matter how nasty they are.
A girl posted a reply to my question saying I looked fake and I was trying to be "hardxcore." I sent her the following message to let her know a little about me and explain to her that I'm not fake.
Here's the message:
"I'm not trying to sound rude or anything, but I don't think you should be calling someone fake unless you know for sure they are. Like I said in response to your post, I've dyed my hair like that WAY before any other girl did, I actually started around the 6th grade and I'm now a senior in highschool. I didn't START the trend, I know, but I did start it in MY school. I live in a small country town where no one even knows the latest trends until they go out of style. Other girls started to copy me, that's why I dyed my hair one solid color so I WOULDN'T be called fake. I'm also not a "poser" like other girls are, thinking they're "hxc" and all, I don't think I am at all. I know that I'm more outgoing and daring than other girls, but I don't give myself that label. Like I said before, I wasn't trying to be rude I was just letting you know a little about myself to let you know I'm not "fake" like those other girls. I'm actually probably the most "real" person you'll ever meet, to be honest with you."
She then went on to post a really nasty comment on the message boards saying I was a b*tch and that I couldn't handle anyone's opinion and that I should get off the site. She was the ONLY person I sent a message to even though there were comments that were 20 times worse than hers.
Did I sound like I was trying to be rude and do you think she should have reacted that way? I just wanted to explain myself to her.
You asked for an honest opinion, I guess you didn't really want one. She gave you her honest opinion, the truth hurts sometimes but you asked for it. You shouldn't have sent her the message, I don't know why you think she'd care. (I'm not defending her, just trying to make you understand that being defensive doesn't help)
And no offense, but your message does sound kind of fake. There's really no such thing as starting a trend, only designers do that, and really, if you have to insist so much that you're not fake and actually say that you're "real", well, that's not a good thing. Most real people don't insist so vehemently.
Obviously she's looking to pick a fight, ignore her. On websites like that you shouldn't bother to explain yourself or respond. I'm sorry that happened to you, but I'd recommend just moving on. If you ignore her, chances are that after a bit, she'll stop.
Is Harry Potter and friends doing sixth and seventh?
My friend and I were disagreeing please give me some advice.
Yes, they are. It will probably be a little odd though, because they're teenagers and growing so fast (especially Daniel) they won't look like the age they are supposed to be playing. I hadn't heard anything to the contrary. I wish they would get someone else to play Dumbledore, though.
I have kind of 2 questinos here that interrelate. One - could you use advicenators as a form of community service (for colleges and/or work, etc)?
The second- I have to do a senior exit projcet next year so I can graduate. I'm not sure how many other juniors and seniors out here are working on it, but we just found out about it this past January (it's the first time our school system is using it). If you've never done one the requirements for my class (because of short notice) are so far, community service, hours with a mentor (someone to help you on the project), a 10-page paper and a 7-10 minute long interview-type of thing.
I plan on going into some form of pyschiatry or psychology with a career, I love helping people. I thought maybe this site would be a creative way of doing a not-so-fun paper. I spend so much of my spare time here and I've been around since 2004.
I'm not sure if I would have to gain DN's approval - I would ask him. I was just wonderinf if any of you thought that this was a good idea, if it would work, then maybe pointers for the paper. What about the site (if I do this) should I write about and point out. What should I do for the visual aid - bring in a laptop and show them the site and how so many members are commited to it?
Also I would probably focus a lot more on my column, just because it's my paper and if I were to do anything with anybody elses column it would just be a visual aid type of thing, going from random column to random column to show people who are as dedicated to this site as I am.
Anyawy, I guess I was just kind of interested if (with DN's approval) you all thought this would be a good idea. I've (obviously) never had to do a project like this and I thought maybe if I could incorporate what I want to do as a career and this site, it would work. Just let me know =D If you honestly don't think it would work, I want to know - I don't want to try this and spend all my time with it just to fail. But if you think it's good - maybe add in some pointers on how to do this. Thanks in advance =D
Well, I doubt they would let you do it for community service because it's already a hobby of yours and something you do for fun. Community service just in general is not done on the computer. You could ask though.
My school will have that requirement in two years. The thing is, at least for our project, the point is learning something new. I know one girl who learned tae kwon do (sp?), another who taught herself to bellydance, one who held a charity benefit, etc. I think it is worth a try, though.
What kind of make up can make you look older, without applying a butt load of it!? I have a job interview today, and I don't want to look like a 6 year old like I usually do haha. Thanks in advance! By the way, if it helps- I'm 16 years old, I have blonde hair, and blue eyes.. I'm almost 5 feet tall, and I'm pretty skinny- I'm just small all around haha, and I'm wearing a dress that's like beige and it has flowers on it that are maroon and dark green.. and the interview is for Carrabbas, an Italian restaurant and bar.. okay thanks again!
Apply tinted moisturizer or foundation with a sponge, then concealer only on the spots needed. Use a powder brush to set your makeup with powder. Line only your top lids, a thin line as close to your lashes as possible. Apply some neutral eyeshadow (brown preferably) with an eyeshadow brush and blend, curl your lashes and apply mascara. Apply a matte lipstick, blot and reapply, a medium reddish wine shade should work.
This is a tutorial on makeup that may help:

It's a bit cheesy but has a lot of great ideas.
Good luck!
Ok ive read things and it say that the 7th book is the last one. Is that really true I mean like wat are the odds that she'll make more? I know this sounds a bit selfish but I just can't believe that it's the last book.
Give your opinion.
Katiee
JK Rowling has said since the beginning that there will only be 7 books, that's the way she planned it. When she first wrote the books she had an outline for every book of events, etc...She doesn't just write off the top of her head! Series that keep going and going aren't that great, and the 7th book will be the great tell-all. There are only 7 books because 7 years at Hogwarts, telling about the adult world wouldn't be as interesting.
She has said that if she was to write another book, it would be a sort of wizarding encylopedia, she will not revisit Harry's world.
Check out her website www.jkrowling.com for more info.
do you have to handwash when you wash cotton bras? or any type of bras? because i heard that if it's washed with the washing machine, it will ruin the shape and form of the cup and it will get damaged...
If you have a lingerie bag (netted, usually with a zipper) it's good to wash them in that, but it's generally the dryer that hurts them. Let them air-dry.
If it's a padded or shaped bra, hand-wash it, otherwise it can get all deformed.
when i rate i usually go easy on people but other people ask these questions and i dont know why my advice did not get a higher rating. people should really comment on the advice so people can improve or else what is the point? and that people have spent time on their response without knowing why you rejected them when it might have been their fault for not making it clear what they were asking or providing details so we can answer better.
This isn't really a question, but I'll answer anyway.
Going easy on people while rating is not a good thing. 5's are supposed to be reserved for amazing answers- upper-level mods have said that 5's should be very rare. An honest rating will help the columnist a lot more.
Sometimes people don't have time to comment, and unless you got a 1, they're not "rejecting" you. 2's are for well-meant but useless, 3's for okay advice, 4's for good advice. I don't really see what you're asking, this kind of seems like you're just venting but remember ratings do not matter. At all.
im anorexic and have been for half a year. its a struggle everyday to come to terms, but im becoming more accepting. i only want REAL anorexics advice on how to stay strong and lose weight fastly. thanks and i can provide stats ect if you need.
much love
You don't have to rate this, because I'm not technically answering your question.
But why on earth would you think that people on an advice website would give you advice on starving yourself? You have a DISEASE. It's a struggle because you are starving your body and if you don't stop you will eventually die. No joke. Short term, your hair will be limp and weak as well as your nails, and it's fairly common for anorexics to grow thick body hair (it's the body's attempt to warm itself up) over the entire body- stomach, chest, shoulders, back, you name it. Do you really want to look like that? Sickly skinny is NOT attractive. Ask any guy, they'd rather see a girl with a little stomach and thighs, with curves who looks healthy, than a flat little twig.
You need to get help. Now.
Ok... So this nasty girl that goes to my high school told me to charge her ipod [that she stole from someone] well she does a lot of drugs and forgot to ask for it back before the end of the school year. So i sold it.. considering she originally stole [like the piece of shit she is]i didn't think it really mattered. But next year she's going to the same h.s what should i say to her if she remembers that i still have it?
I hope you realize that by selling it you are no better than her. Just because someone is a druggie is no reason to lie and steal (yes, that's what you did) unless you want to act just like them. You should have just refused to charge her Ipod. She probably won't remember, if she does just act like it never happened ("What ipod?") and don't ever do anything like that again.
I want to be the type of girl that shops for designer stuff like Coach, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Channel, etc. I want to be able to do stuff like that but my parents aren't rich and im definitely not a spoiled brat. How can i do that... like i'm only 15 ill be 16 in feb. what kind of jobs can i get to be able to afford that?
I fully understand the way you feel, but I think that once you start making money, you won't want to spend so much. Since you're 15, you can get a work places and possibly be hired at some places. McDonalds hires underage but I'm sure you don't want to work there. Right now I work at Walgreens making about 200 bucks a week, and they hire people under 18. If you saved up you'd be able to afford some designer stuff. Make sure you don't buy anything too trendy, it's no good spending several hundred dollars on a bag only to have it go out of style in a few weeks. If you really want to buy something expensive, buy a Coach bag that's classic looking- white, cream, tan, beige, brown, or black- it'll last forever, goes with everything, and is well-made. But buying expensive things is kind of addicting, and it gets to the point where nothing is good enough.
ohkayy does anyone know the songg that goes like...

Uh, You know what it is what it is
When we do what we do
Uh, Yea
Look
If good girls get down on the floor
Tell me how low will a bad girl go
She probably pick it up drop it down real slow
Look at that she's upside down on the pole
That's when I grab the knot throw it up in the sky
Let it come down slow watch it all fly
Front to the back
Then side to the side
Can we head back to my crib for the night
That's how it goes down
All night long
She whisper in my ear says she loves my song
This is Why I'm Hot, she got it on her phone
Top ring download number one ring tone
I'm in my zone
Tell me what's good, what it be
Can't say I'm whatcha want
I got whatcha need
All night, it's alright
We can dance, but ya gotta keep it up a lil somethin'
Like this [x8]
Baby do you want it
Like this [x7]
Girl tell me if you want it like this
If you want to you can back it up
You say you like it rough won't you let me smack it up
Calm on you ass that's if you let me touch
I don't care 'bout your breast
You can be an A cup
I know what I like
And baby that's below the waist
I'm a baller baby I'll hold us safe
I got about ten lawyers to blow the case
So we don't gotta worry 'bout those who hate
I'm like the 2007 nino
Dropped a few G's
Imma shape like Gino
Homey don't act like you know what I mean
Oh see I'm the freshest motherfucker on the screen oh
Back of the club
All night long
Grand Monea pop a case till the dawn
Shortie says she love it when I let her call me Sean
So if you really down baby we can get it on
Like this [x8]
Baby do you want it
Like this [x7]
Now break it down
Gimme, gimme
Gimme, gimme, gimme
Say wha [x8]
Gimme that all of that break it down
Girl shake it up now drop it to the ground
Girl you're way too hot
Go a little lower
Now baby beat it up like Rocky Balboa
Yeah that's what I said
Shortie go 'head
Show me whatcha got
Here's a little more bread
You know how I shine
A hundred on the wrist
If you like what you see
Then ya gotta keep it up a lil something
Like this [x8]
Baby do you want it
Like this [x7]
