Ok ive read things and it say that the 7th book is the last one. Is that really true I mean like wat are the odds that she'll make more? I know this sounds a bit selfish but I just can't believe that it's the last book.
Give your opinion.

Jeanne answered Tuesday July 3 2007, 2:39 am: I knowwww!!! I don't want it to be the last one either! I can't wait to get my hands on it, but I think I'll be afraid to read it, 'cause then there won't be any more!!
From everything I've seen, JKR is not planning to write any more. She also said that she's going to ensure that no one else can write any more Harry Potter books. Some people think that means she's going to kill Harry off.... but let's hope not!!! I think it means she's going to write some sort of epilogue, telling what happens to everyone afterwards.
Since she's not planning to make a book 8, maybe she'll do some more books like "Quidditch through the Ages" or "Fantastic Beasts and where to find them". Maybe "Hogwarts: A History"!!! That'd be pretty cool! [ Jeanne's advice column | Ask Jeanne A Question ]
xokristabelle answered Monday July 2 2007, 10:38 pm: JK Rowling has said since the beginning that there will only be 7 books, that's the way she planned it. When she first wrote the books she had an outline for every book of events, etc...She doesn't just write off the top of her head! Series that keep going and going aren't that great, and the 7th book will be the great tell-all. There are only 7 books because 7 years at Hogwarts, telling about the adult world wouldn't be as interesting.
She has said that if she was to write another book, it would be a sort of wizarding encylopedia, she will not revisit Harry's world.
Check out her website www.jkrowling.com for more info. [ xokristabelle's advice column | Ask xokristabelle A Question ]
Genrawks2 answered Monday July 2 2007, 8:46 pm: Yeah, I can't believe it either. =( Makes me wanna cry, lol.
I've read that in interviews, she said this IS going to be the last of the HP series. It'll reveal everything needed to know, which only makes it the more excited to get the book, huh? =) She said she might've an Harry Potter encyclopedia which tells what would happen to Harry and the gang after Hogwarts. Nonetheless, she's not going to write another novel. The 7th year in Hogwarts is like senior year in High School, you can't add another year, or take one out. As of the release of the 7th book, that will be Harry Potter's graduation. =/ Kinda sad. loll
XSugarPieX77 answered Monday July 2 2007, 8:07 pm: Oh dont your not being selfish one bit, i dont want it to be the last either. I cant/dont believe these roomers myself. If you think about it, in the 6th book it clearly stated that Harry was not returning to Hogwarts for the final year,so maybe because of that there might be more, sinc ehe wont be there for the 7th year of hogwarts.Did you know, you can pre order the 7th book so that you get it on the day it comes out? Sweet right! I should be receiving mine at 9 am. Am i Excited? OH YEAH! Hope I helped! Happy Summer, and reading :)
Ismeme answered Monday July 2 2007, 7:56 pm: Because this is Harry's last year at Hogwarts, what else can she do about it? The Harry Potter Book Series are all set into Hogwarts, it would be strange to all of a sudden change it. [ Ismeme's advice column | Ask Ismeme A Question ]
easterngirl answered Monday July 2 2007, 7:46 pm: I agree too. I don't think you are being selfish.
But I think it's the last book because I read that she is already starting to write another book that is not of the "Harry Potter" series.
Hope I helped.

isis answered Monday July 2 2007, 7:41 pm: J K Rowling has said that the seventh will be the last book. She has also said that she wants to ensure that no one else will be able to write any follow ups to this.
Due to this and the lead up from previous books, my guess is that she will kill off Harry at the end of the final book. [ isis's advice column | Ask isis A Question ]
sdcutie717 answered Monday July 2 2007, 7:39 pm: She said that she is considering making another one, but not to count on it. She also said that everything that you want to know about the series will be revealed in the last book. I think that too many people are making way too much money off of these books for her not to write another one.
