Ok, you seem to be very good at advice giving, so I'm going to ask you a question if you don't mind.
Ok well I started school 3 days ago, and already I'm hating it. But not just because of the classes/teachers. I hate it because I don't have many friends in my classes. In 4 out of my 7 classes, there's only 2 ppl I like (my bf and this one girl). The problem is that all the teachers seat us alphabetical order, and my last name isn't close to my bf or friend. So, basically I'm sitting by people I'm not really friends with. I have known these people that i'm sitting with for a couple of years, and although i can talk to them, Im not really friends with them. They're ok people and all, it's just I feel lonely and left out and it just stinks in general.
My question for you, youngrandma, is- what do I do? I mean, iv'e been trying to make friends with these people and it's not working.
I would greatly appreciate any advice you have? Since the 'try and become their friend' approach isn't workin out to well. (link)

I always hated that alpha seating too. Once the teachers know who everyone is I think they should just let people sit where they want to.
I don't know how you might fit in better for sure. It would be different if you had time to get to know these people but there really isn't time to do that during class. Is there one particular person who is in a lot of your classes? Maybe a person who seems kind of left out all the time? If so they may be the ones to zone in on. Are you shy? There are people who can just jump into a conversation others are having and those who have a hard time with that. I personally have a hard time doing it. I suck at chat room conversations!
If you have been trying with no luck then it may just be you don't have much in common with them. If they have a topic they seem to always be talking about, learn what you can of that topic and join in.

Hello again, I thought I would drop you a line to let you know what happened these last days.
Let's see... where to begin... Okay, the last friday my girlfriend went with her parents (as she does every 2 or 3 weekends), so I had some time to be by myself, which was good. That afternoon I had to meet the other girl, she was also worried about me and she is a good friend so we met and went out for a walk, ice cream and stuff and then I told her about my situation. I had been thinking a lot, should I tell her, or not? I decided I had to share that with a good friend, and finally decided I would tell her.
So I did, I explained how lots of things had been affecting me lately... work, (ex)friends, more work, the routine of a 6-year relationship... and that I had felt an attraction for another girl, and that she was that girl, although I understood that was just a fantasy and that it could mean a problem with my relationship with my gf. She was shocked at first, of course, but as I believed, she was really understanding and kind with me. I feared she would be mad, or even quit being my friend, but she said she realized what I felt was neither something you could avoid feeling, nor could it be easily dismissed. She also asked me not to tell my girlfriend about her, so things between them would be fine.
After that (a long while), we went for some drinks and then home. The next day I was quite relieved, although I was worried she would be feeling bad because of what I told her; I started having serious doubts about what I did, but after talking to her again on the phone, things were back to kind of normal.
The next day my girlfriend returned and we had a talk; I didn't mention the other girl, I just said I was having a crisis with so much work, friends, etc, and mainly about our relationship, questioning myself if we were good together, or it was just mutual affection and comfort, that I was also experiencing a lack of desire and our sex life could really improve... you know. I was strangely calm; I suppose after the bad times of the last two weeks, I was so overcharged with emotions that after telling the other girl, and then telling my girlfriend, I was really relieved.
She was also quite calm at first, although that afternoon she got pretty sad; I feel bad for having to deal with these matters, but I guess it's better to just leave problems aside.
Right now, after several days, I feel more focused, and am currently away from home (staying with my father now, let's hope things remain calm). I really need 2 or 3 days to myself, and I'm starting to see things clear. I still have feelings for the other girl, but I'm still dealing with that, trying to rationalize it. I expect to be feeling better in two days' time.
Phew, that was a long message. I am sure I forgot something, but that was pretty much what happened lately, although there's still work to do, and lots of meditation :)

I am so glad that you are feeling better. It is probably such a relief to have it all out of your system. Make it a point to let it out form now on...before it builds up into something so large it seems overwhelming.

If you have done marijuana it will show up. frequency has nothing to do with it. Just because your friends mom tells your dad to test you doesn't mean he will. :)

Okay, so i met this guy on july fourth and ever since then we've been hecka tight. like we hang out all the time and stuff, and we're pretty muchly best friends. So like 4 of my friends like him. Your boyfriend and you should be best friends so I don't see any reason why you shouldn't pursue it if you want to. Talk to him about it and see what he has to say. He may feel the same. :)

I just moved here from a different state & I'm starting school on Monday next week. I'm extremely nervous, I've never moved schools before & I'm 15. my daughter(19) has a abusive boyfriend (16).
He is at this point only verbally abusive, but i fear it could turn physical . Tonight they went out with her brother (who is twice the boyfriends size) and her cousin and friends. My son came home very angry telling me how this boy was rude, mean , and hateful to his sister. My daughter begged her brother not to say or do anything. His comment(my sons) to me and my husband was "If the boy behaved this way in front or her 6' 5" 230 lb brother, how did he treat her when they were alone? " This is a great point and scarey thought. My husband is ready to step in . What should we do? I discussed this with her and she admitted he is verbally abusive. I am afraid it will turn into physical abuse. Remember she is 19. She is of age to do what she wants, but has never exercised (or even spoke) of that right. She has always been a good easy child. How can we get her away from this boy? Should we demand she not see him. I have a parental gut feeling he could hurt her. We are also friends of his parents . They are very nice people who would never think their son did any wrong.
My husband wants to talk to them and
end it. What should we do? HELP!!!!!

I would certainly step in. Your kids never get to old when it comes to protecting them. She may get upset about it but she will get over it. I'd let your husband do whatever he thinks is right.
