ok i have 2 questions having to do w/ tampon use and toxic shock syndrome.
*that rule that u leave a tampon in 4-8 hours... is that just like thats how long you can use it and then you have to wear a pad or something...or can you change to a new one?
*well i accidently fell asleep on the couch last nite and i still had my tampon in since around 5:30 to about 8 (AM) I'm extremely scared that i might be at risk for toxic shock syndrome. Can someone tell me what the symptoms are? and how to treat them? please help me i am so scared! also i am 13/f if that does anything. please help me! (link)

TSS is fortunately very rare. Symptoms are you feel very sick. Sore throat and mouth & watery diarrhea.
You can safely sleep with a tampon in place. All cases of toxic shock I have ever heard of were caused by women who put in a tampon...probably at end of their period, and then forgot it was there. Keep one in for weeks and you just may get TSS. It sounds really ridiculous but believe me, it happens. :)

Being a little old fashioned I think a quick kiss in public is okay.
Other than that, anything short of holding hands should be done in private.
Thats just my opinion. :)

My boyfriend, Justin, and I, went to a rodeo tonight. This one girl, Destanie, was there. She likes him. Alot. And she doesn't like me at all (for what reason I don't know.) Anyways, she came up and was all over Justin and he was backing off and stuff and she pulled him aside and started telling him how I was cheating on my and walking down the hall with some guy holding his hand and stuff. Which is total BS! I would never cheat on him, I love him so much. Anyhow though, he came up and asked me about it. I blew up (for one reason or the other, I was just pissed because I'm sick of her telling him this stuff, and she's told him other lies like that recently.) He was really pissed off for me blowing up at him, which I can see because it might have came off like something WAS up. But I was just getting tired of all of it. Anyways, we made up I guess, but how can I let him know that I really would never cheat on him? I don't want him getting tired of Destanie saying stuff and break up with me, because I love him more than anything. I can't confront Destanie because she'd kick my butt. I rate high! Thanks so much. You know what? Your boyfriend needs to learn to trust you. You need to have a talk with him about that when you are both calm.
As for miss Destanie, Your boyfriend and not you needs to stand up to this girl and just tell her to get lost. He shouldn't even be listening to her lies. He knows shes lying and all she is doing is causing trouble.
Tell him to get rid of her. You stay out of it because she will only get worse if she thinks she is getting to you. :)

I'm pretty sure dad knows its going to happen sometime soon! Try this though because if you think you are embarrassed...he will be too.
Just tell him you need some money for some female supplies. I think he may get the hint. If you need a ride to the store tell him you need a ride and a few dollars to buy some girl stuff.
He will probably know exactly what you mean. Maybe he will talk to you about it, more than likely he will quickly say OK and run you to the store without asking questions.
You really could probably tell him about it though. He knows what its all about. I can understand how you would be embarrassed to say anything though. I would be too.
You know what? My husband used to not even walk down the aisle they were in! He has grown up a little since then but most guys are like that. LOL :)

I feel sick,tired and feeling as if i'm going to get my periods but its 2nd day not properly came its just dirty stuff,and its the tym i should be having them, but The last tym I had protected sex besides I'd feel being wet if he ejeculated inside. I love that show.
They do have those things provided for them. There are no bathrooms, they have to make do just like anyone who is on a camping trip ( some trip!) would have to do. They go in the woods.
They do not have hidden outhouses. I am sure the cameramen give them privacy for those kind of things just as they do if they are going to the bathroom or changing.
2 of the people on this new show live in neighboring towns from me...gives it extra excitement! :)

I have this friend who used to like this one guy and went out with him. She broke up with him and then dated him and broke up with him for good. She's not a player because the guy was immature. Anyways, she now likes this other guy and they're going to homecoming. The original guy is really mad now because she didn't tell him but she didn't know that would offend him. I'm sure he is hurting but that's life.
Your friend just can't be responsible for his feelings. She did what was right for her, and he will get over it in time. She can feel bad for him, but if she shows to much sympathy he will get the wrong idea and not get over it.
Now that they are broke up he has no business getting mad about who she dates and its really no longer any of his business. She owes him no explanations about who she is now dating. He needs to move on. :)

hey now before you read this and hate me u should hear the story..... we grew up together! are mothers were bestfriends and a kids i was always his girlfriend! we grew up telling eachother that we were going to get married! he was "my boo". when we got older our relationship got seriouse and we had grown apart but still had feelings for eachother that we kept alive. we would kiss and hug and call eachother on the phone! when i truned 16 i met this guy and he took me to my prom! and of course he got jelouse and went and slept with my friend. i was so hurt sghe knew how i felt about him and did it anyway! they ended up going out for 2yrs and there still dateing! i thought our realationship and everything we had was over! i was so sad and depressed! but then like 4 months ago he came and told me that he was still in love with me and he cant stand seeing me and not being able to hold me so we did a few things together!! but nothing sexual! i swear!!! but he is still going out with my friend! i feel so guilty and i wanna tell her but at the same i dont wanna hurt her but i still have deep feeings for him! wat should i do? should i give him up? should i keep sneaking around? or should i tell her the truth and leave them both alone! i know im horrible and you guys are gonna hate me but i feel guilty and im looking for help for the right thing to do! You can do one of two things.
You can leave it alone if you think they have a chance at a future relationship. Since he is cheating on her...they probably don't have much of a future.
That leaves number two. You don't see him (as in making out) until he breaks up with the girlfriend.
If he truly has feelings for you, this will not be a problem. If it is, well then guess he is just using you. Good way to find out his true feelings. Good luck. :)

What exactly am I supposed to do? My girlfriend would like one... But I'm not experienced in kissing so. Generally you just suck the skin? I don't know... I'm a girl, Ive never had sex or anything like that but i think i might have a Yeast Infection because it feels like its burning 'down there' and sometimes it hurts when i pea. idk what to do or even if i have one please give me some advice. It does sound more like a urinary tract infection (UTI). You will have to go to the doctor and get medicine to clear it up. It is not uncommon and nothing you did wrong. Here is a website on the subject complete with all the symptoms. :)
