I'm like in tears trying soo hard not to cry so sorry if i mess up on any spelling or anything.
Heres some background:
Okay, like 14 years ago my mom had breast cancer. She survived and has been cancer free for about 12 years... My grandmother passed away from it in 2001 and many women in my family have died or have breastcancer in both sides of my family. Also my family has a sort of decisese that evreyone women on atleast my mom side of my family has that it makes lumps in your breasts and stuff.. Now the guys have that cancer related to breast cancer and my pappap has it but it too old (83) to get treatment..
What i need help on:
My mom went today to get a Passmere and that breast checkup thingy and seh said they drew blood work. When my dad got home they were talking about thing then my dads being like out of it and has been laying on the couch ever since he got homw itha blankey wrapped around him. And my mom, she looks horrible and my mom always looks great. She looks like shes sorda worried. Anyways we went to go pick up my sisters and i was talking to my mom about what was wrong with my dad and she kept saying nothing he'll be fine nothing he'll be fine then she said nothi (started to say nothings wrong) but then stoped and said he'll be fine so again i said is tehre somthing wrong with dad and she said I'm the one who went to the doctors he didnt why would tehre be somthing wrong with him? Then she said when i have to worrie then you have to worrie. i have this realy werid feeling they might think the cancers back. .. maybe there just nervous of getting the resluts but i am almost crying and sick to my stomich.. can someone help im not sure what im asking just some advise or help she wont tell me but i'm not sure why we usaly seem realy close.. anways please leave me somthing...

If something were wrong she would probably let you know.
You might try asking if shes alright though.
Most likely she is worried about her test results. She probably goes through this every single time she has a check up.
Being older now, you are probably just beginning to notice these kinds of things.
It should take about 3 days to get test results back from the lab. Do your best to hang in there until then. Be as supportive as you can be and let your mom know you are concerned about her.
Oh, and your dad is just worried too. Maybe you should try and talk to him about it too. Let him know you are concerned too.

Righto, my monthly visit (period) just came by again. It's weird, it's really uncomfortable and it hurts just to walk.. I was just wondering how can I make my cramps a little better and any hints/tips on periods? Thanks (link)

Heating pad on your abdomen and a couple of midol usually worked for me.
And chocolate. :)

As for the popcorn kernal...I've had that happen and it is really annoying. You might try gargling with some salt water if you have no mouthwash. It might dislodge it for you.
May have to do it more than once throughout the day. :)

okay so there is this guy that i met at the beginning of the school year and i liked him. well at least i thought so. well on fall break we went to the movies and other dates. this past week i thought alot about him and if i really liked him or not and i realized the only reason i liked him is because of all the attention that he gave me and i just really wanted someone to care about me. but i cant keep leading him on like this and play some stupid game. so how do i tell him without really hurting him? The only way to tell for sure if he REALLY cares is when he breaks up with the gf and dates you instead.

i had a question. besides the risk of stds and pregnancy why are adults so against teen sex? like parents make a huge deal out of it and i dont see why if you use male/ female condoms and are on birth control. i mean there is always still of risk of those things but they arent the end of the world. Actually if you were 12 and had a baby it could very well be the end of the world.
Unfortunately they think its OK to have sex too.
There are STDs that can kill you. AIDS for example.
And then again a lot of parents (myself included), have had their kids and don't want to raise their grand kids. Would kind of take the fun out of having them. :)

My boyfriend and I have been dating 3 months. We both have decided that we're not going to throw around the word 'love'. Seeing as most 14 year old couples do. So this is what we do..
When we do say i love you, we agreed we should only say it when we feel the moment is suitable, but we both know that when we say it we mean 'like is too small of a word, but love might be too strong of a word'
Other times we just say like 'I like you a whole lot', but we both know it's not just a normal 'crush' kinda of like.

The purpose of the site isn't to be funny. If a person is smart enough to be funny while giving good advice...we think that's wonderful.
But, if they are being funny while giving bad or worthless advice then they don't belong here.
Our goal is not to be mean and hurt the feelings of someone who sincerely wants help with something. A lot of people have no one to ask, or they are afraid of being made fun of if they do.
They should be able to come here without worrying about that.
Have you read the stupid warning labels on some products? You know, don't use this electric blow dryer while standing in the shower? Well, somebody must have done it or they wouldn't need the warning.
In other words, there are people out there who would be stupid enough to follow some really bad advice.
We don't need the legal headache. :)

Well, I don't see what could be wrong with you dating boys that aren't in special ed.
Maybe you need to talk with your mom and find out why she feels this way.
Do you have a disability she is afraid the may tease you about or something?
Because some might do that but, they probably aren't going to be boys you'd want anything to do with anyway.

My guy friend needs help. He was just on the phone with me ( cause he knows about my site and figured i could help ) and said that theres this girl that he really really likes, but this other girl that he dates ( not a relationship, just dates ) likes him, but he doesn't like her anymore. And he told me she cries to him sometimes on the phone and that she says she doesn't want to lose him and such and he doesn't want to be a jerk, but he doesn't know what to do, and I don't know how to answer. Well, your friend shouldn't take anything with alcohol in his/her system. Not a good idea.
If they have been vomiting, have them drink plenty of water.
Lie down until the world looks right again. Not much can be done about a hang over...except remember the feeling the next time, eh...;)

Ok. My sister just had to Gall Blatter taken out Thursday and she isn't supposed to lift things over 5lbs in 2 weeks and she has a baby. Her baby is 2 and he weighs about 20lbs! She picked him up today and it scared me. Cause her cuts could come open! How can I get her not to pick him up?!?! I mean it scares me! Thanks (link)

You can tell her to sit down and have the two year old sit in her lap. No real need to lift him.
Who knows if she will listen to you. Some people are just stubborn. But, its worth a shot! :)
