My bestfriends mom passed away and she asked me to go to the service. BUt i have absolutely no idea on what i am supposed to wear. She catholic so idk if its different from different religions.

Is the service also the funeral.

Any advice please give.

What you wear doesn't matter, but it's more respectable if you wear all black. And even if you don't wear black, just wear something super nice.

well...its kind of weird....i think im jealous over my boyfriend....i mean my family is not a poor family but i have a single dad and a brother....for a single parent raising 2 childeren ...we are that bad finacialy..but when i want something , for exsample, i wanted a digital camera for christmas , so i was trying to work and save up for the one i wanted , well all he said to his mom is he thinks he wants a digital camera , and she got it for him that same day, he dont even know how to work the camera and he never uses it!! it makes me sooo mad , and there was a game i though was really fun (saying that i dont play video games much) so i was saving up to try and buy it , well he goes out and buys it the next day ....it makes me so jealous! and i wish i didnt have this jealousy!, and i have to much pride to ask my boyfriend to buy me stuff because i was always taught to take care of myself .... if i count on a guy and he leaves...what do i have left? here is my question...is there any way to get over my jealousy?

You shouldn't be jealous of him. Yes, he has money & can buy things without working for them, but then what does he have? Something new, and no pride to show for it.

You on the other hand, you should be proud of yourself. You're working for the things you want, and learning to be dependent on yourself. He's dependent on his parents to buy him things & that's rediculous. I do it too, so this is kind of hypocritical, but I'm trying to be like you & earn my things myself without having my parents buy them for me.

Maybe he'll be jealous of you one day, because you'll be able to carry yourself, and you won't be as interdependent as he will. I'd just give yourself a pat on the back. Don't worry about being jealous of him. You really shouldn't be.

I recently just found out that I am gay, and I really want to "come out" to the rest of my family - but the problem is were Roman Catholic, and in my religion it is a DEALY sin to be gay, and also I'm afraid that they wont accept me for who I truly am as a person. I've heard my family say some degrading things about gay people, they treat them like they have the plauge, so if I come out to them I'm afraid I might get kicked out of my family. I can't go anywhere either, all of my family friends, and friends are homophobes because of what society or the media tells them. It will be just such a great feeling to get this off my chest, but I'm afraid of the consequences. Thank you guys for understanding.

Let me just tell you first off that I know exactly what you're going through. I'm not gay, but I am bisexual & I know how it feels to wanna come out but not be able to. I've known that I was bi since I was about 13. I'm 15 now, but I still have yet to come out because my family is the same way. I've only come out to my friends because I knew that they'd be cool about it.

Anyways, I realize that coming out is HUGE and that it's also extremely hard, but if your family isn't the type to accept something like this, I'd probably keep it to myself. Yeah, you're gonna feel guilty hiding the hugest secret of your life, but then again, you're also gonna feel guilty thinking you betrayed them because you let them down, and made them think you were straight this whole time. Honestly, if you are totally positive you wanna tell them, I would, and hopefully, since that's your family, they won't completely blow it out of proportion. If they really love you, they won't do anything way out of line, such as throw you out or disown you or whatever. And if they do, then that just shows how much they care about you, your happiness, your feelings & your life. =) I hope everything goes well.

Alright so im 16/f and there is this guy that i like and we are friends, but he's in college. Anyways hes coming home next weekend, and we are hanging out on friday night. My queestion is, what are some things that we can do. Not too expensive, and nothing like really romantic because I dont know if he likes me like that, and its the first time we've hung out by ourselves, with out other people

See a comedy, order a pizza, go bowling. Rent movies, wrestle, go out to eat at a cheap but nice place. Go for a drive, go to an arcade. Go to the mall, go out for coffee. Sit home & talk all night. All cheap [some with no prices at all], and not intimate.

Using the computer for more than 5 minutes isn't "too much." That's rediculous. You shouldn't be punished for having 5 minutes of fun.

Your parents are idiotic. I can see if it stopped you from doing things of everyday life such as eating, sleeping, homework & bathing, but if it's not..it's not such a bother.

Ok tonight my friend Betty was having dinner with her mom. Her mom made fish. The piece was a little too big for Betty. When she finished the rest of the meal Betty said to her mom; I cannot eat the rest. This piece of fish was too big; The mother said; it isnt too big but eat what you want; But Betty was a little upset that her mother did not think the piece of fish is too big. Betty said to her friends is my mom saying because she doesnt think the fish is too big she wants me to finish the piece of fish she gave me. Her friends told her no Betty your mother is not saying to eat all the fish - she even told you to eat what you want. MY QUESTION: Do you agree with Bettys friends

You killed your brain from smoking pot everyday, or even at all. It killed the important parts of your brain used to send messages to other parts of your body, and it killed the parts that store memory. What exactly is the definition of an eating disorder and depression? I go through periods of time, usually they only last 1 or 2 days, (often on weekends or vacations) where I feel totally depressed and fat. I just got an exercise bike and it is REALLY hard for me to stay off it. I feel like every second of time I have, I should be using it. I weigh 85 pounds, and I'm 14, so deep down, I know that I have a decent body. I fear the future, and I fear becoming overweight. For a while, I've been giving part of my dinner to my dad. Particularly things I don't like to eat, such as green beans, sweet potatoes, and chicken. ( But only certain parts of my dinner.) He is starting to suspect me of anorexia.

I don't think I'm anorexic, I just cannot digest a ton of food (mainly veggies and meat) at one time. I feel like my life is "All Or Nothing." I HAVE to eat healthy for the day. If I don't eat healthy and perfectly, then I end up giving up and pigging out on candy. I believe these problems are connected to depression-related problems.

What sense do you make out of all of this?
Am I going crazy?
Please don't sugguest I get professional help.

Depression is a long period of sadness that just does not go away on it's own, or at all. It affects everything you do.

As for an eating disorder, that's when your mind thinks it has to do things it doesn't, and you just don't see yourself the way you should. You think you're fat even though you're thin.

Although you said for yourself not to see a doctor, it is the best thing for you because nobody can diagnose you with an eating disorder or a case of depression other than a liscensed physician. None of the people on this site are physicians, unless they say so themselves. Then again, people lie.

I would just tell yourself in the mirror all the qualities you love about yourself & it should help to build your confidence. I don't think you have an eating disorder or depression, I just think your confidence is low. But you're normal. Most girls go through this. :]

Okay, so I'm 16 (female) and my boyfriend is 22. We've known each other since this last summer and we started talking more once he gave me his screen name.
We've liked each other for about 2 months and hung out a few times. We just started actually dating a week ago.
We make each other really happy. We argue about who likes and misses each other more. We have these deep conversations that end up confusing the hell out of us.

Well, the age difference is kind of huge, but if you like him enough, it shouldn't bother you, and the fact that it doesn't is a good thing. :] Anyways, your friend is disgusted cause this guy should be like an older brother to you, not a boyfriend.

ok so i'm writing a story. Its about a little girl wo is very afraid of her dentist. She thinks that he is a murderer who wants to kill her mom and is very observant of what is going on. The truth is that his mom is having an affair with the dentist, but the story is told kind of scarily as if it is really a murder mystery. it would be more in depth and exciting in the real story, but what i'm wondering is:
should i write it from the point of view of the little girl who's only seven? or should it be from a narrator's point of view who talks about what the girl is thinking and stuff. It would be easier to make the writing better from a narrators point of view, but would it be more effective to write it from the little girl's perspective?

I would write it both ways & then decide which is better. Personally, you can work her thoughts in when you tell it from her perspective, but both ideas of which way to tell it sounds good to me. :]

Last night I smoked weed for my second or third time and I got REALLY sick after I smoked. (Like right after I took the hit) I almost threw up..is this normal?! Also, my throat was killingg me..but it didnt hurt like that the first time I smoked! It was so weird. And today I feel really tired and a little nauseous and I have a terrible cough..is this normal? Is there anything I can do to feel better? How long do these feelings last?

Usually when I get high, I throw up in my mouth a little. A little regurgitation never hurt anyone. But there's a chance your weed was laced with something else [weed killers, snake venom]. I wouldn't buy it from the same person, or I just wouldn't smoke anymore. Coughing is normal, and so is a regurgitation, but regurgitations usually happen a while after you're done smoking..not right after a hit. Usually a little sore throat & a cough is normal. And so is feeling nauseous. Being tired's normal too. I always get tired like 2 hrs after being high. So, don't worry about it. But if you're really that concerned, either buy your weed from someone else, or just stop all together.
