I've read a ton of books, and the 5 I liked the most were:

- Speak.
- NIGHT.
- Go Ask Alice.
- Pictures Of Hollis Woods.
- Walk Two Moons.

I think they're all at that level, although I read Go Ask Alice in 7th grade, Speak in 8th, and Walk Two Moons in 5th.

I know a really good series.....
there are four books i think in the series....Stormbreaker, eagle strike, point blank, and scorpia. i know stormbreakeri s the first in the series, but im not sure which is the second....it will have a sneak peak in the back of each book in stormbreaker and the second to tell which one is next. i know scorpia is last too.
i thought they were really good....they are by Anthony Horowitz. they are action packed and i found them very addicting!
if your school has a library check there, they probably have them there, if not check a nearby public library.
hope i helped!
