What do you listen to?
Just out of curiosity,what kind of music do all of you here on Advicenators listen to.Also,why do you enjoy listening to it?
My reason for asking is because it seems like music is steadily going down the drain,and people have lost a sense of what good music actually is.

Huge variety of stuff for me. I listen to the almost totally unknowns, such as Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Voltaire, Faith & Disease, and so on. I listen to semi-known: Jakalope and Stars (both Canadian and both amazing). I listen to some pop music--Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos. I listen to some of the classics, like Pink Floyd and Rolling Stones. I love 80s hits (cheesy, I know). So yeah, bits of anything and everything.

But as you can tell by my username, mainly mariah carey I love her new stuff but love her Oldies to!Check it out!Ha!
But it annoys me when new rappers come into the picture and have no talent at all!And people are so deaf and braindead they go and make them rich and famous by buying their music!
I just hate it when they really dont have any talent but if you take leona lewis - uk xfactor winner she is amazing and theres talent right there and she deserves to be famous but not silly untalent rappers and singers - I sound really harsh but you did ask for my opnion!

I listen to just about anything. Music is seriously my passion, so I don't turn anything down unless it's in a language I don't understand. I don't listen to country, or most rap because I can't stand hearing about ranches & poppin` caps in hoes & bitches. :] With that said, I listen to the following:

Anything, actually.
Well, not anything. Because I think that most rap and most country music is simply garbage.

Why do I enjoy listening to it?
Each of the songs on my playlist was hand selected by a friend or recommended by a friend because they thought that I would like it.
I listen to it because it reminds me of them.
And because it allows release of tension and often calms me down. I like getting lost in music.
I can't seem to do that with loud rap music. o_o;
