hi i saw your answerrs on a couple of questions, and i like what you said. so i was wondering if you could help me as well/ okay,. so i really want a date for my 8th grade dance. its coming up [ the 9th ], and im scared no one will ask me. ive been told im pretty and i guess im pretty popular so thats not the problem. i havent had a date to a dance yet this year,(that was my choice though) so now i want one. and i dont really wanna ask a guy. usually id be fine with it, but this time its different. i have a couple guys in mind who are just friends, but one day they could be something more, or have been something more. any ideas or tips? thanks.

first off...thanks for personally asking me for advice =]. okay for your question: the first thing i think you should do is let people know that your going to the dance. just casually bring it up in a conversation, like, "i can't wait for the dance on friday, it should be really fun." then the guys will know that you are going. and if you want to hint to them that you want to go with them then you can say, "so are you going to the dance also?" next you should let guys know that you are available. like the guys that are on your mind just try to spend a little extra time with them, and just flirt a little bit more than usual. DON'T overdue it though, then they might think that you are clingy. remember to just be confident and don't get too worried and stressed out about wanting a date in time. don't become desperate. and if nobody asks you then don't be discouraged, a guy could always ask you to dance while your there.

Okay, I'll try to make this short. I've liked this guy for months and one day in math I got a question right and he started going on and on about how smart I was. Then another day in S.S, I graded his test and he didn't study and he got a 92. Then he held out his arms and said give me a hug, so I hugged him. Then in Language, he was talking and looking at me a lot more than usual.

from what you said it seems like he does like you, but you should also make sure that he doesn't do that to other girls too and you just didn't notice before. but i definitly think that he does like you, expecially from the hug part ♥

my skin is dry, but my forehead isn't,so it breaks out. what are some good face moisturizers for combo skin? (that work good because my cheeks can get really dry) (oo yeah,um, under like, $8?)

well i use OLAY active hydrating beauty fluid in original..but i'm not sure about the cost. if it is too expensive just try to make sure that you use a lotion that says something along the lines of:

Light, Non-Greasy
Dermatologist Tested
Won't Clog Pores

I have very thick, long blonde hair. Everyone says it's lovely, but I'm useless at styping it. The only thing I can really do with it is put it in a ponytail or wear it down. I want some cute, funky up-do's that are easy to do, could you people please point me in the direction of a website that give step-by-step instructions for this kind of style or does anyone know any? Please help I've had no luck so far!

you could start out by looking in magazines (Teen People, Seventeen, ELLE girl, Cosmogirl) many magazines tell you how to do cool summers hair styles, and since you have long hair it will make it easier to style.

I'm taking my dog to get put down on Friday. She has cancer and is really sick. I've had her for 10 years and it's going to be really devastating. I don't know how I'm going to handle it. Has anyone else had a pet put down, how did you get over it? What's it going to feel like, no one close to me has ever died before!

i know its hard to have to put down a family pet. i've had to put down my cat because she had a disease that was eating away at her. It will be hard at first, you will also cry, A LOT. but some things that help is to let out how you feel. write in a journal when your feeling sad, or talk to a friend. sometimes friends can help you the most. A take some pictures of your dog now so you will have something to remind you of him when you are feeling sad. What might help you is writing down all of the good times you've spend with your dog so you will know that she has lived a long and happy life and you will know that she is now in a better place because she won't have to suffer anymore.

I really liked this guy. for 9 months) I was at a school dance two days ago, and I really wanted to talk to him, but I was too scared and I'm too shy. I actually think he likes me a little more than a friend, but what can I do to open up and not be so shy? I'm 13 female/

wow i had the same problem all through 7th grade. I never had any guy friends because i was way too shy. But now i've found out that you can just be yourself around guys and it isn't that ackward at all. Sometimes it helps to think of topics you guys can talk about BEFORE you know your going to see him/ or talk to him. like a class you have together, or anything school related really is always a good topic. if the guy is normally funny, then it will be A LOT easier to talk to him if you have something funny to say to him that way you know he will laugh and most likely make a another joke about it with you. But don't try to hard, or sound rehersed. And sometimes talking to a guy at a school dance can be harder than talking to a guy just in class. So try talking to him in class first then you won't feel as nervous talking to him at a dance or outside of school.

since you guys both go to the same school try to sit near him in school/lunch. guys tend to talk more to girls they sit near. if you can pick your seat in class try sitting next to him. but since you said you were shy, sitting next to him might be too hard for you, then sit next to your friend in front/back of him or at the table next to him, so you are still in talking distance. I know that always works when you sit near the guy.

I'm going on holiday in three weeks. It's a four hour flight each way. So I want a book to read, but don't know what. I don't want something that'll make me sad because I'm going on holiday and don't want to be put in that kind of mood. I want something happy and girly that'll be fun to read and not too serious. I'm in England, so it'll need to be released here too and hopefully able to get on ebay cheap because I'm skint. Does anyone have any ideas or knmow of any books like that for me?

I know of a great book. It is the "Shopaholic" series. It takes place in London, so it will most definitly be sold there =) it is a fun girly book about a girl who likes to shop WAYY too much. So much that she gets herself into debt! But don't worry, she has her funny ways to fix things. It is a series so you might want to start out with book #1 Shopaholic.

What are some signs that a guys likes you? i really like this cute guy in my science class, but i can't tell if he likes me.

here are some good ways to tell if a guy (or a girl) likes you:

1)they say hi to you outside of class (like in the hall)

2)They give you compliments. even if they are small (or weird) compliments, they are still compliments =)

3)They look you in the eye when they talk to you

4) They try to make you laugh

there are TONS of ways to tell if a guy likes you, but those are just some of them

all of my best friends have boyfriends and theyre always so busy with them that i get left out of everything. theyve stopped being such good friends we dont really talk much and when i do they dont listen. its really stressful and i dunno im not jealous of them im happy they have someone but shouldnt they still care about me? they dont know what its like to be in my situation and when i try to explain it to them they just shut me out. what do i do?

i'm going through the same thing, except for my friends don't ignore me for there boyfriends, they ignore me for each other. they all hang out together and never call/invite me. sometimes i just get so depressed, i sit in my room all night. but what you have to do is stay happy and don't act depressed around them. you should plan for a "girls night" in advance so they don't already have plans with their boyfriends. You should also try to become friends with all of their boyfriends, so you might be able to hangout with them and not just be a tagalong.

Okay, so there's this guy, he is SO cute, we've been friends all this year. And I fell in love with our friendship.

Silly as it sounds. But I like him, ALOT! He sometimes calls me at night, and one time, he wanted to meet me at the mall and watch a movie. (May I add, he doesn't know I like him.)

Okay, during school, my very close friend, talks about my crush ALL THE TIME. It kind of bothers me cause she says all this stuff like, "Oh, he keeps poking me in the arm, and told me it was a 'Love Tap'" I got pretty sad when she told me this. (Also, may I add, I told her I liked him before she even told me this.)

Last night, she told me that she 'kind of' likes my crush! To be honest, I wasn't surprised since she made is OBVIOUS!

But the problem is, she's ALOT prettier then me. She went out with more guys then I have. And most guys ask her out and everything. I'm just scared that maybe my crush might fall for her, and forget about me. I'm just scared if he DOES ask her out, that she's going to say yes.

I don't know what to do. My crush doesn't know I like him, and my friend likes him. I don't know what to tell my friend how I feel about this. I don't want to ruin our friendship. But it's really killing me. It gets me really mad, knowing that ALL the guys I thought is cute, or had a crush on, she happen to like them as well.

wow having your friend like the guy you like just completely sucks. but if this girl really is your friend then you should talk to her. if you tell her how you are worried that he might ask her out then she might stop talking about him. if you told her that you liked the guy before she started liking him then you should get first dibs! lol that sounds really bad, but i'm serious. if you liked him first then she shouldn't take him from you. if you just sit her down and tell her all of this she should understand. if she doesn't listen to you, then you should just continue staying friends with this guy. but don't become obbsessed and call him all the time, that could get annoying for him. oh and when your with the guy NEVER talk about your friend. you don't want him to think about her when he's with you. i know that sounds stupid, but trust me the less you talk about other girls, the more he'll think about you.

since i'm a girl, i'll try to tell you what to do from a girls point of view. since you hang out with this girl all of the time the first thing you should do is make sure she doesn't just think of you as a friend. does she ever talk about her ex's or talk about other guys while with you? if she does then she probably thinks of you as just a friend. and do you like this girl? if you do then you should start dropping some suttle hints..nothing big to overwhelm her. like hold the door open for her. that is a very suttle thing that you could do that girls think is very sweet. and if you do like her then try not to piss off her friends. most girls wont go out with a guy if your mean to her friends. most girls put there friends first.

My bedroom is white and boring. I've been thinking about redecorating it. mostly painting the walls. I just have no idea what color to paint it. My favorite colors are pink and black. I'd be scared to paint it black and plus, im not allowed. but im not sure if i wanna paint it pink. Please help.

maybe you should try to paint your room two colors. pick one of your walls to be the focal point of the room and paint that wall pink. the other three walls you could paint another color that you like...yellow, purple, blue. since your not allowed to paint your room black, you should paint black accents. maybe paint a cool border around the top of the walls in black, or paint the trim black. or just get a bedspread with black in it. there are many ways to incorporate black into your room.

Hello, I just turned 24 years old 2 weeks ago. You think I would be happy but I am not. I have never had a boyfriend in my life. I have never recieved and gifts from a man or even been out on a date. I have never even kissed a man. i remember when i was 16 my friends would laugh and me because i had not done ane anything yet. I thought i was a loser back then but now that I am 24 I don't think i am in the loser catergory any more. could it be that no one pays attention to me because I am over weight? (size 16) If that is true then why do I see girls who are way bigger than me with a boyfriends. Is there something wrong with me? Or am I just a loser?

there definitly is NOTHING wrong with you! there is a guy out there for everyone, the hard part is just finding him. what you should try to do is become friends with more guys, once you are friends with a guy it is easier for them to start liking you. remember that guys like girls with confidence, so don't be let down by not having a boyfriend. if a guy thinks you are depressed, then they won't want to date you. be patient and i promise that i right guy will come along.

my ribs stick out and i don't like how it looks, so how can i gain more weight there? or is there any exercises i can do to tone that area? because its like skinny up there but a little wider as you go down so it looks weird lol. and i just want my ribs to not show up as much. what can i do to fix that?

well i don't really know how to gain more weight by your ribs without gaining it in your stomach also. you might want to talk to your mom or a doctor about it. because having your ribs stick out isn't very attractive.

i have heard of tanning lotions. where it is a regular moisturizing lotion with a hint of tanning lotion in it. I think Jergens makes some and maybe even Dove.

Is there such a thing as waterproof eyeliner; and if so what kind is the best to buy? I know there's waterproof mascara, I use it all the time. But what about eyeliner, and even eyeshadow; if they have it, whats the best product to buy? Thanks forthe advice.

i'm not sure about waterproof eyeshadow (i've never heard of it), but there definitaly is waterproof eyeliner. if you go to a drugstore like CVS there will be so many brands to chose from, but i like to use Maybelline Unstoppable eyeliner in onyx. it is smudge-proof. the only negative part about water-proof eyeliner is that it is hard to get off, but besides that its great!

Well today i got my hair cut. I asked her to blow dry it also. But when she blow dryed it, it came out so shiny and healthy lookin and even relatively straaight, but if i do it at home it comes out like fryed looking. Also, before she blow dryed it she put this cream stuff on it.

Does anyone know why it came out so nice looking, and any techniques i could use while blow drying my hair to make it come out the same way.

And if anyone knew what the product or what a product is called, how much it is, and where to find it to make your hair come out healthy looking after blow drying it?

most salons only use a certain brand of products in them. so if you know the brand that could help you. She probably used a straghtening cream, or a shining/frizz free cream. they both make your hair come out really shiny and smooth. i like to use Hang Straight by Aveda, but that can be a little expensive. you can look around a drug store like CVS for products similar to that.

ok for a long time now ive been wanting to do something with my hair..but i dont relle have that many good ideas..any help?

well to start out you should get a really good haircut. You could get layers put in with some sideswept bangs (if you don't already have them). Is your hair curly or straight? if it is curly you could curl it by scrunching it, or by a curling iron. to scrunch it you need to make sure it is towel dried, then put curling gel on your hands and scrunch your hair upward. (kinda like taking the ends of your hair in your fist and smushing them up to your roots) do this with your whole head, and then put in a flexible hold hairspray. if you would rather use a curling iron, then i recommend hairspraying little sections of your hair before you curl them to make the curling process faster and stay in longer.

if you have straight hair then you should try straightening your hair (it is a strange fact, but when guys were polled they said that they liked girls with straight hair better then girls with curly hair).
