Question Posted Sunday April 30 2006, 3:25 pm

I'm going on holiday in three weeks. It's a four hour flight each way. So I want a book to read, but don't know what. I don't want something that'll make me sad because I'm going on holiday and don't want to be put in that kind of mood. I want something happy and girly that'll be fun to read and not too serious. I'm in England, so it'll need to be released here too and hopefully able to get on ebay cheap because I'm skint. Does anyone have any ideas or knmow of any books like that for me?

Gossip Girls are good books, but I find them a little to repetitive to read them back to back.

I'd check out Sloppy Firsts, Second Helpings and Charmed Thirds by Megan MCCafferty. They're three different books, about Jessica Darling a sarcastic New Jersey teen growing up. They're really funny, but have some substance to them, and they're pretty damn realistic too. The first book starts out with Jessica's best friend moving across country, and Jessica dealing with her psuedo friends, and Marcus Flutie, a character I dare you not to fall in love with.

I know of a great book. It is the "Shopaholic" series. It takes place in London, so it will most definitly be sold there =) it is a fun girly book about a girl who likes to shop WAYY too much. So much that she gets herself into debt! But don't worry, she has her funny ways to fix things. It is a series so you might want to start out with book #1 Shopaholic.

hope this helps ♥

ok, the most girly and fun books i have read are 2 different series: "the a list" and "gossip girl." you said you want something girly and fun, and those 2 deffinitely fit the description. there are a coupl e of books in each series, so you can just pick one and buy the first book or 2. they are all about girls, dating and shopping. lol i really like them a lot and i know a lot of other girls who love them. they deffinitely sell them on ebay too, i have seen them! here are the websites for both! enjoy :)

my favorite book of all times is the sisterhood of traveling pants...there are like 3 books in the series so if you finish the first one you can move on right away to the next ones..i swear those books are so good you wont want to stop reading =]

the title is kind of weird so ill explain...its about these 4 girls that are like BFF and for the first time there gonna be like split up in the summer--ones going to greece, ones going to this camp, ones going to visit their dad, and ones staying home. each of the girls have a story like in the book and its super good. oh yeah and like to stay like in touch, the girls have this pair of jeans that they pass around to eachtoehr all summer that like fits them all which they think is like weird cuz like one of them is like i guess you could say, fatter then the others like and so wahtever you should really read it its super good =] oh and its by ann brashares --i would think they have it in england youll have to check
