I'm going on holiday in three weeks. It's a four hour flight each way. So I want a book to read, but don't know what. I don't want something that'll make me sad because I'm going on holiday and don't want to be put in that kind of mood. I want something happy and girly that'll be fun to read and not too serious. I'm in England, so it'll need to be released here too and hopefully able to get on ebay cheap because I'm skint. Does anyone have any ideas or knmow of any books like that for me?
Notso answered Sunday April 30 2006, 5:47 pm: Gossip Girls are good books, but I find them a little to repetitive to read them back to back.
I'd check out Sloppy Firsts, Second Helpings and Charmed Thirds by Megan MCCafferty. They're three different books, about Jessica Darling a sarcastic New Jersey teen growing up. They're really funny, but have some substance to them, and they're pretty damn realistic too. The first book starts out with Jessica's best friend moving across country, and Jessica dealing with her psuedo friends, and Marcus Flutie, a character I dare you not to fall in love with. TEENAGExHEARTS answered Sunday April 30 2006, 5:44 pm: I know of a great book. It is the "Shopaholic" series. It takes place in London, so it will most definitly be sold there =) it is a fun girly book about a girl who likes to shop WAYY too much. So much that she gets herself into debt! But don't worry, she has her funny ways to fix things. It is a series so you might want to start out with book #1 Shopaholic.
