I have been taking a multivitamin for about two weeks now (One a day Women's) and it makes me extrememly nauseous. I didn't put two and two together until recently, and since I discovered I only get sick after taking the vitamin, I decided to only take it with meals. This morning I took it after eating a bowl of soup, and now I feel incredibly sick. I am also feeling dizzy and light headed, and I can't help but think the vitamin is what's causing this.
I need to take vitamins, because I definitely don't have a well balanced diet. My gyno also told me that if I ever plan on having kids, I need to start taking a multivitamin and folic acid now so my children don't have birth defects later on.
The only other medication I take is birth control (Gianvi, the generic form of YAZ), and a store brand allergy pill.
What can I do about this? Is it normal? (link)
|
It's fairly normal but it usually happens in pregnant women.
Try changing brands and the time of day you take the multivitamin. A lot of people have great success with taking it right before they sleep. The body absorbs the nutrients and by the time you wake up all of those nauseous feelings never had time to process and make you violently ill.
Sometimes low-grade vitamin brands will cause reactions like this because the vitamins they contain aren't readily absorbed by the body.
Always take it with some food or a full glass of milk. It will help your body to absorb it better and make you less sick. Try having some toast with it or, as I just suggested, some milk.
You may want to start taking a prenatal vitamin if you're wanting to get pregnant. They are great for pregnant women and women who are planning to become pregnant within the next 6 to 8 months. They have a great amount of folic acid and other goodies that pregnant women absolutely need.
I take Maxi Health Maxi One Prenatal:
http://www.vitacost.com/Maxi-Health-Maxi-One-Prenatal
As you can see, they list some of their choices on the vitamins it contains to help the body absorb them better.
You may also want to pick up some acidopholus capsules. They really help to get intestines lined out and help the body to break down vitamins properly. A lot of women report sick feelings going away from taking vitamins when they've been taking these probiotics supplements as well. (Don't take the acidopholus with any sort of antibiotic since they will just cancel out).
My husband really likes Jarrow Formulas Jarro-Dophilus+ FOS:
http://www.vitacost.com/Jarrow-Formulas-Jarro-Dophilus-FOS-200-Capsules
but when he can't get those he likes Enzymatic Therapy Acidophilus Pearls:
http://www.vitacost.com/Enzymatic-Therapy-Acidophilus-Pearls
You might want to look around online for a better grade of multivitamin. Many big-chain stores don't carry the best grades. Make sure you read reviews about the product before your purchase. The Maxi Health Maxi One Prenatal reviews are pretty decent and some women even reported "no ill feelings" when taking these compared to other brands. VitaCost, especially, has lots of information like this so try a few until you find what best fits your body.

i was looking up rubber barbels for tongue rings since i want to get my tongue done but i don't want to fuck up my teeth. i found this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/RUBBER-FRENCH-TICKLER-tongue-ring-barbell-HOT-SEXY-/350241156214?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item518bffec76
is it safe to use? like is there some risk wearing this instead of a regular barbel? i'm just trying to go for the easiest/safest option. any input/advice? (link)
|
Bad idea.
French ticklers are for blow jobs. Really. That's the whole point in them having little soft things sticking up from the ball. The rubber bits help to "tickle" the sensitive parts of the penis and it's soft but slightly sticky, as rubber tends to be in these situations, so it feels good to the guy as it runs across the flesh.
Rubber things like this cannot be eaten with in. They will, naturally, stick to your food. They will tear and rip and you will swallow them. Trust me. I also have absolutely no idea how you would keep food from getting stuck in such a thing. You would be brushing you tongue, literally, after every single thing you ate or you'd risk having funky residue build up on some of the areas of it.
Stick with regular, round plastic balls. You can purchase plastic barbells that will help reduce the weight on the tongue and help the balls move out of the way of your teeth when you're chewing foods and stuff. You still risk cracking the ball or your teeth but plastic is the best choice at the moment, unfortunately.
The metal ones you won't break but you will damage your teeth if you accidentally bite down on them.
The plastic ones will break if you accidentally bite down on them too often or too hard and will still erode away your enamel a bit but not nearly as much as the metal.
Having your tongue pierced comes with the price of risking damage to your teeth. It's responsible that you're trying to find an alternative but, sadly, there isn't one that exists. You either take the chance or you don't.
I've had my tongue pierced for...gosh. Maybe 4 years now or more? Your best bet is to try to find small 14 gauged plastic balls to screw onto a 14 gauged plastic barbell. Make sure to always keep a spare in your purse or pocket because accidents happen and you will someday find yourself going, "I just broke it! Holy cow! I don't have a replacement on me...what do I do?!" Plastic won't last forever.
Nix the idea of the rubberized balls or french ticklers unless you're into giving head often. Even then, you'll want to put the french tickler on right before you start giving oral and remove it directly after. You really don't want to bite into something like that and have a chunk come off in your mouth.

There was a movie I had to watch for one of my classes and forgot the name of it. I just remember it started off with a man going to bed and then a chicken walks into a room, and then an ostrich walks into his room and a mailman cycles in his room and then it goes to a scene where another man is living in a house and having incest with his aunt and then a man and woman were missing their daughter and reports it to the headminister, but she is standing right there, then a guy goes to the top story of a building and shoots everyone he sees. It was a really weird movie and then it ends with an ostrich walking up to the camera. I don't remember what language it's in but I want to say french. please let me know (link)
|
Hi!
I've never heard of this movie but it does sound quite strange. I could understand you not remembering the title, of course. I am taking it that the movie was a comedy, perhaps? I've been searching the internet for this movie but nothing much is coming up that I find.
I even went as far as typing in: "movie man "foreign films" bed chicken ostrich mailman"
And retrieved absolutely nothing!
Is it possible for you to go back to the class that you saw it in and ask the instructor about it? They will definitely remember what you're talking about since it was shown in their classroom.
To know if it was indeed French or not then consider the talk within the film. Simple words like "yes" (oui) might give that away for sure. You may even recall your teacher talking about the language or it may have been shown in a language class.
I searched online for some foreign films forums you may have wanted to join to ask but none of them seem to take such questions.
I do apologize that this is more complicated than you may have though. If you, by chance, are able to find out would you please post it on your question (in an answer, preferably) so that we can find out for ourselves? I am dying to know now.

how often should I rub vitamin e oil in my hair to telp it grow? Because I heard too often is bad. (link)
|
You probably only want to apply oil to your head once a week. Focus mainly on your ends of the hair. It will help to strengthen the hair shaft so that it doesn't break.
Applying it too often isn't that it's harmful or dangerous, it's that your hair and scalp can become pretty greasy. You would have to wash your hair out really, really well a couple of times each time you showered if you put the oil in your hair every single day. It would do more harm because you would be washing your hair more and causing some extra drying that would be unnatural for the hair and scalp.
You can also ingest the vitamin E for extra hair-growing benefits. Vitamin E isn't harmful so you can take some every single day and it shouldn't cause you any harm or discomfort. It will help to make your skin nicer too.
Take care of you body inside and out and your hair will grow long and beautiful. Take a multivitamin every day. Eat decently healthy. Exercise often but not excessively. Drink lots and lots of pure, clean water (no added anything). Hydration and vitamins are both absolutely necessary to having nice hair.
Try to reduce the amount of products you put onto your hair, including shampoos. Try to switch to more natural alternatives (you can search through VitaCost.com for some great products). Rinse your hair for at least 4 minutes in the shower after shampooing to make sure it all gets out. Take care of yourself and you'll see a noticeable change. Even just reducing your stress level can help your hair to grow faster!

So I always have this discharge coming from my vagial area, and I am not sure what it is from. It makes me smell and that makes me self concious. I don't have any STD's so I know it isn't anything dealing with that. Someone please tell me whats wrong with me... (link)
|
Oh, gosh, don't just hope it eventually goes away. That's how people end up with really bad infections, life-long pain called Pelvic Inflammatory disease, and infertility.
See a doctor. Seriously.
I know it might be embarrassing but it's natural to have some sort of infection in your lifetime. Infections can be caused by nearly anything, from wearing too tight clothing down below or thongs or eating unhealthy foods often (especially too much sugar).
Now, while it may be a very harmless yeast infection you should see a doctor because the same symptoms of a yeast infection are those of a bacterial infection. Yeast infections = harmless, just irritating. Bacterial infections = extremely dangerous and can cause life-long illness/pain and infertility.
You definitely don't want to take the chance of leaving this alone and hoping it goes away if it's a bacterial infection. Bacterial infections do not clear up on their own. You need special antibiotics to rid yourself of it. The longer you leave it untreated, the more damage it can do to your reproductive organs.
Ignoring the problem is just stupid. Flat-out.
It's possible that the discharge is normal. All women do have some form of discharge. If it smells bad then it isn't a good sign. It should smell very much like a natural human body and not fishy, sour, or strong. You also should not be secreting anything that looks lumpy and white. Both of these signs are tell-tale of infections (yeast or bacterial). You have to see a doctor to get treated properly.
If things are just not quite right then you body is telling you that something is NOT right. Listen to your body. See a doctor about it before leaving it alone and pretending it isn't there. Yeah, it might go away--or it might really cause severe damage. It might be something, it might be nothing. Do you really want to chance it?

In the morning i had sex with my husband and when we were done i had a googy discharge, what does that mean, it never happen before and on top of that i have not taking my birth control pills in almost 3 weeks and we dont use condoms (link)
|
Well, it could be a multitude of things.
There is the possibility that it's an infection or an STD but it's probably doubtful if you've been with your husband (and only your husband while he's been faithful to you) for awhile.
It could be his semen. If he actually went on and let cum in you then it's possible that some of it was just seeping out by the time you went to the restroom. You probably would have noticed this sooner if you have not been using condoms but, just in case, it is highly likely that is what is discharging now.
It could be mucus secreted from your body during intercourse. This would be especially so if you achieved an orgasm yourself.
-A lot of women also report different secretions after going off of birth control. Birth control pills have the ability to thin out your cervical mucus (the stuff that helps the sperm swim to the egg) or thicken it too much. You going off of the pills may have helped your body get lined back out to the more natural cervical mucus state.
It could be fertility mucus your body has produced to help the sperm swim toward the egg. Though this usually happens around day 14 in your cycle (probably 2 weeks or so after you discontinued the pills) it definitely is not unheard of to ovulate late right after coming off of hormonal birth control.
It could lube. If you used store-bought lubricate during intercourse then it simply could be it working it's way out of your vagina after. Remember, the stuff doesn't just magically vanish.
You could be pregnant already. It's doubtful since it's so soon but it there is still a slight possibility that you became pregnant much earlier in the month and your body is going through minor changes as the egg is implanting. Some women notice a different discharge then.
Your period may arrive soon. I don't mean to be too TMI here but after I went off of birth control pills (I am now 23 and I used them since I was 14) I noticed a different discharge RIGHT before my period came. If your period is due any day now then it's possible some natural secretions from your uterus as it begins to shed the lining.
If you just cannot figure it out and none of the above applies in your situation then see a doctor. Only a professional can help you diagnose your problem properly.

I know this question may seem really, really pathetic, but I work as a Residential Support Staff, taking care of adults with developmental disabilities. One of my job requirements is I have to take a CPR/First Aid class through the Red Cross. Problem is, I'm extremely nervous about the CPR part. I hate getting up in front of people and having everyone watch my every move. How do these classes work (I know not every class will be the same) but kind of a run down on how things go. Do you work in partners on the dummy, or do the dreaded get up in front of the whole class and do it? Like I said, this probably seems really silly and you're probably laughing.. but I'm serious. Any insight would be great! Thanks! (link)
|
I've taken 3 CPR and/or First Aid classes in college so I think I probably have a decent understanding of how these work.
You will get over the nervousness. Trust me. What you need to realize is that NOBODY in that classroom doesn't want to get get up in front of everyone. Nobody wants to stand up and practice CPR on a dummy in front of the entire class.
Mine were all with very nice instructors. We practiced with AND without partners in all three of the classes throughout the course. Everything was in front of the entire classroom of people.
I only had one where we did our final CPR session alone with the instructor. I have to say, that is probably the worst thing because they are solely focused on you. There are no distractions for them to turn away from you or move their eyes from your dummy victim. I really was sweating bullets during that one.
I'm a fairly shy person. I don't like to get in front of the class. Chances are, you will absolutely have to CPR a dummy (with and without a partner) in front of the rest of the class. Every time I ever did this--everyone in the room was quiet. Nobody laughed or giggled at my mistakes. As a matter of fact, there was the odd time that someone whispered some help to me rather than mocking my inability to rescue said dummy victim.
Relax and just go with the flow. It's all worth it in the end. Doing this in front of a class helps you to build confidence. How are you going to perform on a REAL victim if you cannot even do it in front of people, right? It helps you to get settled into things. You learn to focus not on everyone around you but the dummy/victim you're trying to CPR.
Take your time and focus on the information and not the fact that you'll have to practice on a dummy in front of people. In a real life setting you won't get to choose if there will be people around or not. Having to do this in front of a class is wonderful for building up your confidence in achieving success.
Just like everyone else in the classroom, I'm not laughing. Nobody in the class is going to laugh at you if you mess up or forget a lot. Nobody will be studying your every move except the instructor--and, even then, the only thing they really want to do is help you to learn and be able to save lives. They know it isn't a laughing matter and so does the rest of the class. No reason to be embarrassed.
It's worth it all in the end.

I changed my hotmail password yesterday and now I cannot access my hotmail with either my new or old passwords. Rather unhelpfully, to be able to get the Live Help Center to help you need to be logged in. Apparently Windows Live is experiencing problems but I know my friends are at least able to access their hotmail so why can't I?
Need urgent help please!! Thanks (link)

I use GMail and I know that sometimes it has problems loading up and making it to the page. From what I gather, that is NOT your problem, but, if it is indeed the issue, then try using clearing our your cookies/cache or trying another browser (like if you use IE try using FireFox). Sometimes it helps.
Here is a link to the Hotmail top reasons why your account may be experiencing some problems:
http://windowslivehelp.com/product.aspx?productid=10
Now, you go to
Account Compromise - Unauthorized Account Access & select the password reset information:
https://windowslivehelp.com/PasswordReset.aspx
Click the button below to contact an agent.
Now, you're going to have to create a new email account in the meantime. I do suggest GMail but you can use Hotmail, Yahoo!, or any other service you might prefer. Create another email account elsewhere and begin following the steps there to speak to Hotmail representative and technical support team.
If the account was free then you might not be able to retrieve the information. I know that Yahoo! will refuse to help you access the account if you do not know your security answer or your password. Even if you list off the emails you had in your inbox (and their contents) they still will not authorize you access.
Oh, and, speaking of which, have you tried answering you secret security question you created when signing up for the Hotmail account?
Go to the hotmail.com page and select "forgot password" before entering your ID/username. It will ask you if you'd like to answer your security question to reset the password now or if you'd like to get the password emailed to your alternative account (that you included in your sign-up details in the first place).

Are you considered "sexually active" if you've had oral sex but not vaginal sex? (link)
|
Yes, because you can still contract many illnesses and STDs. Doctors very much need to know if you've engaged in any type of sexual activity, including oral sex. Even handjobs and mutual masturbation needs to be counted as "sexually active" because of the risk of disease that can be spread during these activities. It's important to inform your doctor when you have been sexually active and how many partners you have had.
If you feel the need to clarify, you can do so in the doctor's office by saying, "I am sexually active because I've had oral sex but I have not had actual intercourse yet." The doctor will know that you have been at risk for STDs before and will be able to help give you a proper diagnosis, treatment, or thorough check-up because of this.
There are a lot more diseases and STDs other than herpes that you can contract from oral sex (giving or receiving). Herpes (HSV-1 & HSV-2), chlamydia, syphilis, HPV (Human papillomavirus), and even HIV (Human immunodeficiency virus) can be transmitted by engaging in oral sex. That I'm aware of, things like herpes and HPV can also be transmitted by fingers/hands--more if there are cuts on the fingers.
Oral sex is sex. Period. Just because you're not at risk for pregnancy doesn't mean you're not doing something sexual / engaging in sexual activities. See what I mean? ;)

soo a couple a days ago i got high for the first time. i had smoked two previous times but i didnt get high. however, when i got high i colapsed to the floor, and my whole body was throbbing with pain. it was terrible, and i thought that it would go on forever but it did stop. i am just wondering why that happend, and if it will happen if i smoke again. (link)
|
Lots of things could have happened.
There are people who are actually allergic to marijuana. Maybe you're one of them. There are somewhat different "types" of the leaves so it's possible you're allergic to whatever was "different" this time in the pot.
The joint could have been laced with something very bad. Lots of people do this and think nothing of telling you about it when you purchase it.
Smoking anything reduces the amount of oxygen in your body. It's possible that it did this too quickly and you suffered a severe reaction from it. Smoke inhalation is not healthy on any level. People actually die of it. Now, smoking 1 joint doesn't sound like a lot but it does a lot more damage than you'd think. It does cut off some amount of the supply of oxygen to your brain. Not good.
If I were you, I wouldn't do it again. There's no reason to "try" it a second time to see what happens. There's no reason to have to be rushed to the ER if something goes terribly wrong or worse the second time around.

I have a gay friend which claims it's not against the laws of nature while I think it is.He said animals can be homosexual.Has he lost his mind?! (link)
|
With so many pesticides and hormones we inject into animals things like this should be expected. Even if we aren't directly injecting or spraying a particular animal, chances are it will come in contact with an "altered" fruit, vegetable, or other animal it may consume.
There will always be the nature vs. nurture disagreement though.
If you reward someone (or, heck, an animal) for a particular behavior then they keep doing it.
A male dog climbs the back of another male dog. Things happen to dominate the lower dog in the pack. Things happens, it feels good, the upper dog continues it. Does it mean it's gay? Well, it's doubtful he looks at the other male dog and says, "WOW! That is a SEXY man dog right there!"
Animals don't think the way we do. They just don't. They don't view "sexy" like we do. They see a good prospective mate for more basic reasons like a peacocks showing off their tail feathers. They see something that feels good, tastes good, or is somehow rewarding to basic instincts.
Animals dominate each other when in packs. They have a social ranking in their tight-nit groups. They dominate each other in sexual manners like this but it doesn't mean they're actually sexually attracted to the same-gendered animals. Sometimes they will choose to continue to show their higher-ranking to another animal for reasons we don't understand--because WE are not animals. WE can only guess so much as for their socialization.
Animals like to get treats. They like to feel good. They have hormones that create sexual feelings to mate. Dogs even masturbate when there is no female around and those hormones build up. Now, if a dog finds out that "being" with another male dog relieves that sexual tension and makes them feel good then they don't know any better. They don't get sexually and emotionally attached to that other dog. They just say, "Wow, when I do that, it feels good!" They don't say, "I like other males dogs! I'll never look at a female the same!"
Now, we go feeding a caged lion pounds and pounds of beef and other animals we have injected with various hormones. Those hormones DO affect the lion that consumes it, just like they DO affect us. Proof? Well, the FDA is now deciding to reduce antibiotic injections in chickens because it's making US (humans; the consumers) become immune the antibiotics! Gasp.
Females stop smelling as appealing from the changes. They stop producing the right amounts of hormones and chemicals that are secreted to attract mates. Males have different levels of testosterone and estrogen from these changes. If the male never has reason to interact dominately toward the female then it it's possible he wouldn't ever know to breed with her meant a feel-good pleasure too. There's sooo many factors here.
So, we give this animal unnatural beef (or whatever meat) every time it feeds. We spray for pests around it's cage. We treat it's water with chlorine so it's clear. Should we expect that animal to be "natural" as God intended?

I had sex for the first time 3 years ago, and have had sex pretty regularly since. I have always heard that it hurts the first couple of times, but it ALWAYS hurts me. And getting aroused is not the problem. I know people say it's because "you need to relax" or "try foreplay" but that isn't the issue. This may be too much information, but I can get reeeally wet, and I'm completely comfortable with who I have sex with, so not being able to relax is not the issue either. I can have a clitoral orgasm, so I prefer oral sex. But it just does not feel good vaginally. Could it be because I'm a very small person? I'm 5'3" and only weigh about 95 lbs. I feel like my vagina stays as tight as it was 3 years ago. (link)
|
You body structure doesn't really have to do with how large your vagina is. Honestly.
You could be a 6'0" 300lb widely-built woman and have a really small vagina.
I know because I'm a fairly large woman and am unable to use certain menstrual products because of my small vagina. Childbirth might be ridiculously painful for me, who knows.
It can be a lot of things, really. It can actually be all in your head too. It can be an infection that has gone left untreated and caused irritation that you don't even realize exists. It can be an overly sensitive vagina (a doctor may be able to prescribe creams to help). It can be from using tampons. It could be the actual position you're having sex in. If could be that you have sex infrequently (like once every month) and you body really hasn't expanded enough in that time to accommodate the average sized penis. It can be an untreated STD. It can be from squeezing you kegel muscles throughout the day TOO much.
The point is, there are SO many possibilities we're not going to be able to pinpoint it. If you've tried to add artificial lubrication (I recommend "Carrageenan" brand) without added scents, flavors, colors and you still have the issue then it probably isn't moisture. If you've tried having sex with men with smaller penises then it might not even be penis size. If you've been extremely aroused (and loosened up with a few fingers during said foreplay) then it isn't foreplay.
See a doctor if you can't resolve this. It really could be something as simple as an untreated infection that has no other signs or symptoms. Sometimes it's better to explain the problems to a professional and have them check it out.

i know this is an awkward question, but why do women spray milk if they're breastfeeding if ANY child cries?
(link)
|
Actually, lots of things can cause an increased production of the milk to leak out. Even the new mother just THINKING about particular subjects can cause the breasts to leak milk. It's absolutely normal and natural. In many cases, the breasts may even spray the milk out.
Within the first few weeks of giving birth, your body is still adjusting to responding to the baby's needs.
When you hear a baby cry, what goes through your head? It needs something. What does it need? Well, it might need a fresh diaper, some comforting, burping, or...food! Your body responds in the best way it knows how.
The baby cries and your body says, "Baby might be hungry! Get ready!"
Hearing a baby that is not yours causes the same reaction because you THINK about your own infant and the needs of that baby when he or she cries out.
This can also happen by smelling your baby, thinking about your baby, holding your baby, and even sitting where you usually feed your baby at. The body just responds in it's natural way. It thinks your baby must be around if you're thinking of it, right? If your thoughts are centered on the baby then maybe it needs something. Your body takes action and gets prepared to feed your baby.
Frequent breastfeeding can cause the body to respond better to these situation. The body gets use to WHEN the milk should be released and WHEN the baby is usually being fed (and needs that milk).
The hormone, oxytocin, is most responsible for it. It's most produced within the few weeks after delivery. It's what causes the cells in your breasts to contract and expel breastmilk for you baby to nurse. It simply helps to push the milk to the nipple. Within the weeks after delivery, your body doesn't really have a handle on when to produce and use this oxytocin so things can get a little wacky.
So, the more you breastfeed, the faster you will see a proper response from your body. It will learn when to use this hormone. It will learn when you do need to expel the milk. It will learn what to respond to and when to respond. New mothers don't know it all ;)
Oh, it also doesn't matter if you're a breastfeeding mother or not. It typically happens with all new mothers because ALL mothers produce some amount of breast milk for their babies. The body doesn't know if you're going to choose to feed the infant another way so it will always produce that amount of milk. You see the issue more in breastfeeding mothers because their milk doesn't dry up as quickly as nonbreastfeeding mothers. Some women have their milk dry up quite early and they no longer have the leaking problem. Brreastfeeding mothers usually keep their milk production strong for quite some time so it takes a little while to adjust as it's being produced and what-not.
Makes sense?

Hey everyone, 22/f.
Basically, just like my subject says, I have a tattoo on my back of a symbol that's pretty important to me (I designed it), but I'm beginning to see a future for myself in which I don't want to have a tattoo. So, I'm looking at getting rid of it. It's all black ink and the size of my palm, approximately.
1. Has anyone tried Wrecking Balm? I ordered it, I have it, but I'm concerned about skin damage, as I know it's basically a bunch of chemicals. I don't really have sensitive skin anywhere, but I am pretty pale, and scar easily, ish.
2. Has anyone tried laser removal, or intense pulsed light? The only issue with these is that I really don't have a ton of money. So, I dunno.
I'm basically asking for any advice you can give me on this. I've made my decision; I just need to know how to reach my end goal in the best way possible.
Thanks!! :) (link)
|
Good for you for realizing that tattoos do not make you who you are. Who you are comes from within and THAT is what nobody can ever take away.
Wrecking Balm is not meant to get rid of your tattoo completely. It will only be able to lighten it so much. If it's a new tattoo then it may not lighten it very much because your body itself has not had time to get rid of some of the excess ink.
If you apply the WreckingBalm and you feel burning, itching, tingling, or any sort of discomfort then wash it off immediately. Otherwise, scarring doesn't appear to be an issue. You pretty much "know" if you're going to see negative side effects from shortly after applying it the first few times.
The truth is, you're going to HAVE to get laser treatment on this tattoo for complete removal. The positive side is that if you use the WreckingBalm first then you may not need so many treatments to get rid of the tattoo in the end. Much cheaper in the end.
As the Wrecking Balm works you may experience it fading some parts faster than others. It's just what you're going to have to deal with. It has some real effects though and can reduce the appearance greatly if you USE AS DIRECTED.
You need to think of some very serious things:
Did you know that when you got your tattoo you were taking a serious risk at coming out scarred and disfigured in that area? Just piercing the need a few extra skin layers deep into your flesh could have left a very, very ugly scar for the rest of your lifetime. I've seen this in person on two women's ankles and it's pretty hideous because the ink mixes in the scar tissue. They said the tattoo artist simply pushed the needle in a little too deep and they wound up with something that looked like an animal had attacked them. From what I can tell, it didn't hurt too much more than a regular tattoo because they appeared to let the artist continue with the tattoo. You could have easily ended up with something like that. You already took that huge risk.
Laser treatment also runs the risk of building up scar tissue. If done properly, you probably will not have a problem. It's possible though. Like it was possible when you got the tattoo in the first place.
You got the tattoo, hopefully being prepared to wear it on your skin for the rest of your life. If it takes 6 months to get rid of it (or most of it) then what is that time really in the long run? In the whole scheme of things, you're getting rid of it a lot faster than you originally expected.
I would use the WreckingBalm right now unless it causes discomfort. I would use exactly as the packaging directs. I would be saving money up for laser treatment later down the road because you will, most likely, still need to laser the rest of it off in the end. In the meantime, you can reduce it's appearance and coloration and start saving your money up now.
Remember: This tattoo does NOT make you who you are. You are NOT the tattoo. Your soul, your being, your personality, and everything that makes YOU who YOU are does not live within that ink.
Whatever you associate(d) with the tattoo is all inside of your head. If it's memories then live freely without the ink and take the time to remember sometimes :)
Think your actions through next time. You took a huge risk at getting scarred in the first place. Taking a second or a third risk shouldn't be as scary, right? Chances are, you weren't REALLY worried about the negative possibilities when you got the tattoo.

Im thinking of joining to gym. I definitely need to shed a few lbs, but im just wondering if its worth it financially? The gym has a $30 one off enrolment fee, and then $22 a month. Its a lot cheaper than other gyms in the area, and its open 24hours. Its also really simple i.e. no sauna, not even water machines etc, so they can afford the cheap price.
So is it worth it? Should i just stick to a weight bench in my room and running in the park? Thanks in advance :) (link)

These fees are extremely reasonable.
The thing with going to the gym is that the equipment typically centers around strength training. Strength training is where you're going to build the most muscle because you're working the arms, legs, abs, etc. muscles to help them to grow.
Running is not strength training. Running is a part of cardio work out. It helps you build up your heart more than the outer muscles. It helps your heart rate to increase in a healthy way.
The best way to lose weight or stay toned for the summer is to do both, alternatively.
You do strength training (like weight lifting, and real "physical" types of exercises, usually on machines), say, Monday, Wednesday, Friday...the days you do NOT strength train you will do cardio.
Your schedule would look like:
Mon - Gym / Strength Training
Tue - Running / Cardio
Wed - Gym / Strength Training
Thu - Running / Cardio
Fri - Gym / Strength Training
Sat - Running / Cardio
Sun - Running / Cardio
You don't want to do strength training 2 days in a row if you can avoid it. Your body takes nearly 24 hours to heal up the little tears that happen in your muscles when you work them well and properly. Doing too much strength training back-to-back can actually reduce the muscle mass and have negative impacts on you. In addition, always, always, ALWAYS stretch really, really well after your strength training. Stretching helps to keep the muscles long and lean and work out small air pockets that may be trapped in the tissue.
Other things for cardio include: bicycling, work out videos for aerobics, jumping jacks, skipping rope, jogging & walking, swimming, skiing, dancing.
I would only purchase the gym membership if you're serious about working out properly. If you're like most people then you might use the gym for a month or two and then rarely go back. You need to really set up a schedule and stick to it if you purchase the membership. It isn't expensive but you still don't want to throw your money down the drain.

inflamed intestines, my doctor just told me to eat breads, rice, and apples basically easy stuff to digest. i get alot of diarrhea and im just wondering how much longer does it take to get better? my doctor told me to eat these foods for the next month.. (link)
|
It can take awhile to heal inflamed intestines, actually. Try to eat very plain. Cut out your sugar, too.
You might want to purchase some extra fiber supplements. Getting enough fiber can help stop diarrhea, actually. It can also end up making your intestines feel better to have regular bowel movements from the fiber. You can get lots of different brands but my favorite is the ColonPure from GNC.
Drink lots of pure, clean water with no added sugars or flavors. It can help your body to heal faster. The faster you body heals, the faster you get back to a normal eating routine.
Probiotics. I'm not sure if you've seen the commercials for acidophilus pills or tablets but they are absolutely wonderful for helping to get your digestion back in order. If you're NOT taking antibiotics then you can pick up some acidophilus pills up from your pharmacy or even WalMart. It's sold over the counter. My husband takes them quite frequently (every day with a meal, as directed on the bottle or box) and said that the "Acidophilus Pearls" from walmart (you can get them at other stores) were one of the best kinds. Acidophilus is the good bowel bugs that help your intestines to break down food and fight off illness. They cannot hurt you but if you're taking antibiotics then the antibiotics will cancel them out and you would have wasted your acidophilus pills.
Be religious (meaning: stick to this strictly) about your diet for the next month, for sure. Eat plain! When you get back to your normal routine try to be aware of the things you eat. A lot of sugars can upset the intestines. Too much meat can leave negative impacts. Dehydration can hurt you. Artificial sweeteners are loaded with BAD things that can leave life-long damage. Try to eat whole grain and whole wheat whenever possible (breads, pastas, crackers, rice). Never overeat so that you body can properly digest things in it's own time.
Avoid spicy foods like Mexican cuisine when you can. It's OK to treat yourself once in awhile but not to eat it every day. Most people just don't have the right digestion for spicy foods all the time.
Take your multivitamin. Taking a vitamin each day can help your body heal and stay healthy. Getting a lot of diarrhea can lead to vitamin deficiencies so make sure you take care of your health.
Listen to your doctor. If he says to stay on a certain diet for a whole month then try your best to stick to it for 30 days (or longer if possible). While he might not know everything, he does have a better idea of what "healthy" means than the average person.
P.S. Do not take pepto bismal if that is what he has suggested. Using products like that long-term is what may have caused your problem in the first place, actually. That's why we have LOADS of "acid reflux" pills on the market--because if you don't let your body heal then you will always need them. Try to withstand the issue without resorting to over the counter medications that alter your digestion and Ph levels. Changing you diet for the better can solve this. Maybe even getting enough fiber will solve your discomfort. I know it's painful but if he didn't prescribe anything then you're just going to have to make the proper adjustments and see him if things are too unbearable. He may end up testing you for problems like colitis or Chroan's Disease in the end if the inflammation continues.

i NEED to get rid of a cold sore FAST! i have one day so please answer this asap! i have an interview that it needs to be gone for. i don't have time to go to the doctor and get "speacial cold sore cream" i tried abreva for like a week but it didn't work. i think it showed up because i was stressed. i i tried campho-phenique, aftershave, and now neosporin. any advice? im 14 if that's in any case important? haha thanks! There is no way to get rid of the sore in one day. Period. It's a disease, not a pimple.
-----
WAIT! Please, please, PLEASE do NOT put nail polish remover onto your coldsore! DO NOT! That is not using your head.
A coldsore is HSV-1. That's herpes. It's, actually, what we typically refer to as oral herpes.
A herpes outbreak (coldsore, feverblister, or whatever you want to call it) can very much come from stress. When it blisters out it's at it's peak shedding rate. This means a lot of the infected (diseased) cells are shedding off very rapidly. Your body will never get rid of the virus so every now and again the virus will try to shed a little bit. It's just what it does and you will have to deal with for forever.
Some people are extremely lucky and only have outbreaks once every 10 years while others have an outbreak every month. It varies, which you may already know.
Now, since this isn't like a pimple, scrape, or typical wound then the typical treatments don't really work. You aren't going to magically dry it up with nail polish remover, it is only going to cause you A LOT of discomfort. The skin is very sensitive at the outbreak area and applying something like this can really actually cause more damage and leave your lip with a scar. Who wants herpes scars, right?
There are some things that can help speed up the healing but it just won't go away overnight, especially if it's already blistered out. Sometimes--SOMETIMES--you can stop the rapid shedding before it surfaces but once it swells up or breaks the skin then you just have to wait for you body to heal that area.
In the meantime, you can help the body heal. L-lysine is wonderful for reducing outbreak occurrences and healing damaged skin but you have to take it accordingly:
Take up to 4000mg of L-Lysine tablets each day for 2 weeks straight. At the end of 2 weeks--STOP for at least 2 weeks. This method makes sure your body doesn't get "used" to getting so much l-lysine and so the tablets still work like you want them to.
Outbreaks can occur when you ingest a lot of foods with L-Arginine, like wheat products. Your body NEEDS L-Arginine though you don't want to get rid of it completely, you just want to reduce the amount in your body, especially near breakout times. L-Lysine counteracts the L-Arginine and doesn't let it be absorbed by the body as much. L-Arginine is something that sort-of feeds the herpes virus to replicate quickly. It's a little confusing so we just won't go into it.
Water. You need to drink A LOT of pure, clean water with no additives right now. Being properly hydrated helps your skin to repair quickly. Make sure you drink lots and lots of water.
Don't mess with it. Touching the outbreak area can help it spread on out from your lips. There are many cases where the herpes sores spread to the face and upward. In very, very rare cases it has even spread into brain tissue and can lead to death. It's important to do your best at not spreading it. Wash your hands before AND after if you absolutely must touch it (like to apply ointments or creams). Try to keep the area from sticking onto anything like cotton or clothing.
Now, for healing the skin and boosting immunity, try some:
*Vitamin C with Bioflavonoids- Take between 1000 - 2000mg every day. You do not need to be experiencing an outbreak to take this and you should take it every day--your body will not become "immune" to it.
*Zinc - Take 20mg to 50mg per day, outbreak or not.
*Echinacea - Take for 2 weeks and then stop for 2 weeks. You may repeat process until desired time. Take 1000mg daily as directed on the bottle.
*Vitamin B Complex - Take one daily, outbreak or not.
*Multi-vitamin - You should be taking a multivitamin tablet every day--outbreak or not.
Putting alcohol, nail polish remover, or anything else meant to be "drying" to the skin is not a smart move. Many times the outbreak occurs when the area is too dry anyway. Drying the area around the sore can actually cause it to spread on out, too. The pain is not worth it. It won't get rid of it. It isn't going to make it go away any faster than normal because it's harmful to the skin. Moisturizing the area is a much wiser choice.
If you use chapstick on the area then don't use it on other parts of your lips in case it picks up infected cells shedding off of your sore.
Do NOT apply make-up the the sore or the surrounding area. You can easily end up putting the infected bits elsewhere on your face or in your cosmetic bag. I know it's ugly but sometimes it's better to just face the issue right now and let it heal later. People who interview (or all sorts of things) have seen this before and are well aware that it does go away.
The more you stress, the more likely you are to experience an outbreak. What's done is done and there is no taking this back. Try to relax and tend to your body now. It is important to do everything you can to boost your immune system to decrease outbreaks. You should begin avoiding chocolate and direct sunlight, as both can trigger severe outbreaks.
There are some over the counter topical treatments you can pick up at your local pharmacy (or even WalMart stores). Go down the chapstick aisle and there should be a nice handful of ointments, creams, and helpful applications to try out. The best one I've found is using Herplex (a $10 bottle of pills walmart sold that was homeopathic remedy for it) and a little glass vial of clear liquid from CVS (but I think walmart sells it in a name-brand version. You can't miss it. It's clear liquid in a small glass vial in the packaging). Releev also has helped me, especially when the sore was just starting out--I've caught it in time with Releev and it hasn't broken the skin in the end so that's REALLY good news.
Do not kiss. Do not engage in oral sex. Do not share drinks. You will only spread the sore to others doing these things. Even after the sore heals, you should still avoid these things for at least 2 weeks. Seriously. Even after it heals it can still be shedding a few extra cells that are infected that you're unaware of.
I have some more links through this Advicenator question you might want to check out sometime: http://www.advicenators.com/qview.php?q=543782
I hope it heals quickly. Use your common sense in the meantime.

QUESTION MAINLY FOR WOMEN, BUT MEN ARE WELCOME TO ANSWER.
16/F
my first time was last year. Between then and now i've had sex wit one other guy. bothe my 1st and my 2nd aer currently my ex's. My new boyfriend, whom i've been dateing for 1/2 year now knows i'm not a virgin.
My problem is i haven't told my mom (whom is a layer in another state) or my grandmoter(my legal gardian. So my Bf and i have been talking about having sex, but i'm scared..
i'm scared because i've heard that you have to do daily check-ups, and constantly have a metal thing stuck inside you, getting tested, birth controle, ect. And because of the lack of information i decided NOT to share with my mom and grandmother, i've done NONE of this.
i'm not sure if not doing these things can kill me (well i know STD's can but i've had protected sex) or cause damage to my body to the point where i can NEVER have kids. i'm scared out of my mind and i have no idea what to do.
If i don't go to the Dr. what will happin?
What happins if i don't get that metal clamp thing done? Is birth controle realy needed if i'm protected?
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!?? (link)

You need a check-up because you're sexually active, I hate to break it to you but condoms do not protect you from all STDs. There are also other things like HPV which can be transmitted and can lead to cancerous cells in your female parts. You, obviously, know there are some serious risks by not getting your regular womanly check-ups so I'll spare you much more detail which may only increase your anxiety.
Tell your legal guardian that you're 16 years old, have your period, and feel like you should be seeing a doctor for a yearly check up. You don't need to say you had sex. As a part of sex ed. (and online resources galore) they have began instructing parents to take their daughters for their yearly check-ups once they begin having periods. Being 16, you've probably already missed a few years then, right?
So, you can pull that one out of the bag. Your friends go to their check-ups. You're a woman now and you want to make sure everything is healthy. You want to take care of your body.
If all else fails, you can pull the, "I'm having some funny...discharge stuff...coming out...I think it's time to see a doctor..." Your grandma isn't likely to check out your panties and you can go into the doctor's office and say, "I am sexually active and want to get my yearly done with now." They are not legally allowed to tell your mother, father, or any other legal guardian if you've been sexually active before.
The "odd discharge" excuse typically works because it can very well be serious if left untreated. Grandma might be a little confused at first but no need to worry. You can get yeast infections from very basic things like poor eat habits, wearing very tight pants, and even wearing thongs sometimes. It can happen to virgins so it isn't like, "OMG! YOU HAD SEX!" And she's likely to go on and make the calls for you to get an appointment scheduled.
Condoms are only about 83% effective against pregnancy. Which is worse: Telling your grandma you've had sex before or telling your grandma that you're pregnant? Birth control pills are about 97% effective or so if taken properly--these two methods of protection can be very effective on reducing the chances of unwanted pregnancies. Please note, neither will fully protect you against STDs.
The "metal clamp thing" is pretty necessary once you've had sex. That's how they open the vagina up a little big and check things out. They'll swab/scrape a bit of you cervix to check for abnormal cells and see if you have infections, cancer, or any other issues. Skipping the "metal clamp thing" is really just stupid. It's absolutely the most valuable part of the entire doctor's appointment.
It's ok. Take a deep breath and go for it. It will all be over in a matter of an hour (probably less) for the doctor's appointment. It's very necessary to ensure your health and safety. Remember, you are important. Sometimes taking care of yourself means doing things you're not too keen on doing in the first place. Do the right thing.

Thank you, I read your post and maybe one day it will all go away. I'am happy that even a stranger would care to say something so nice. Thank you again reading your post really put a smile on my face. (link)

I'm glad it brought you a little happiness.
I know it can be really hard to look at yourself some days but it's not all over. I'm 23 and young just like you. We haven't lived yet at all. We don't even know what the future holds for us. We have no idea how things will pan out. There is so much opportunity for young people. We have so much hope to change the entire world.
I do hope you don't have to suffer from your illnesses much longer but, in the meantime, look on the positive side. You have a great opportunity that not many people are given. You just living each day the best you can really can mean saving lives later. I know that sounds like such a leap but it's true. How many people have read cancer survivor stories and have gained the courage to go on and get better from what they thought was a terminal illness? It's just like that. Your bravery could save real lives.
If you ever need to talk, I'm willing to share my personal email address with you. I'm not going to judge you if you're pretty, ugly, fat, thin, bald, or hairy. It doesn't matter. Your appearance is only the outside. For all I know, you are a kind, loving soul who deserves nothing but the absolute best. If I let outward appearances decide my friendships then I would be a pretty sad person. Nobody wants friends who only care about appearances anyway.
For your ups and downs just stay strong. Fight off the negative feelings. Get into psychological therapy if you need to express some of that pain and hurt if you can't find an appropriate friend. Nobody is going to think badly of you for seeking help. Really.
I don't know if you're Christian or even believe at God at all but I'm praying for you. I know you can be something great. I know this illness won't hold you back forever. Hold your head up high and be the best person you can be. Strength will come in time and you can pass it along to the next person who needs it.
