I've had a sore throat for about a week maybe 2 and it jsut won't go away. it hurts when i swallow food or drinks and when i speak its hurts sometimes. i've drank a lot of water and had a lot of tea. I don't know what else to do, any suggestions?
gargle with salt water at least twice a day. i know it sounds gross, but really it isn't. it helps sooooo much!
any good books you would like to suggest on about dealing with drugs and like teenage life and what a teenager goes through? like go ask alice, a million little pieces and stuff like that
I liked the series Sloppy Firsts, Second Helpings, and Charmed Thirds. it dealt with sex, drugs, and just fitting in as a teenager. it was really good!

i'm going to try to help you the BEST i can, since i do a lot of jobs for people in my neighborhood and i just made $120 this week!!! okay well since your 14 a lot of people will feel that you are responsible, and for some reason a lot of families think girls are more responsible and mature.
some jobs you could do are dog sitting while families go on vacation, babysit, mow lawns, water gardens while people are away, and any other odd jobs that people need done. if you hear that someone is going on vacation you can tell them that if they ever need anything done while they are away that you will be willing to help. once you start working for a family then you will get a good reputation with your neightborhood and you will be getting so many job offers!
now for the money. you really shouldn't tell the families how much you want. you should let them decide how much they think you deserve for the job that you have done. most families will probably pay you more then $4.00 an hour (i get about $8.00 an hour for babysitting). and if they ask you how much you want, just tell them whatever they feel is best (they will like your maturing with the situation. they probably won't hire you back if you ask for a price too high).
most families will need babysitting and dog sitting the MOST during the summer. especially dog sitting because many families go on vacation.

Lately, my eyelids have been red and chapped. Does anyone know what could have caused this and how i can treat/prevent this? Thanks.
you probably got sunburn on your eyelid. that happened to me before and it sucked because then my eyelid like swelled up. but don't worry this is what i did and it was gone in one day. just put witch hazel on it. witch hazel is like a face and body cleansar. you can buy it at almost any drug store, food store, or department store like k-mart or walmart. it will be with the rubbing alchohals. just dab that with a cotton ball on your eyelids a couple of times a day and then at night put a lotion on them. it should be gone within a day!

hey well last night i installed the sims 2 along with the sims 2 nightlife. my computer has a big memory so i guess i could put lots of stuff in it. the thing is when i started to play the neighboorhoods were loading so slow .. actually EVERYTHING was loading slow .. i'm not sure why this happens because when i use the internet my computer loads fast. I have limewire and have about 400+ songs in it so i was wondering maybe that's one of the problems that my sims game is loading so slow? please help .. i rate 5's. Thank You
its just the game, not your computer. the game is always that slow.
im really mad. lately ive been missing my clothes. i went to my BEST friends cabin with her last weekend and when we got back i realized that i was missing a pair of my pants and then today i go to wear one of my newer tank tops and thats missing and then one of my cami's are missing. i brought all these to the cabin and now theyre gone when i get home? im positive that i didnt leave it at her cabin because we were in the tent together the whole time and i would of seen that i left it in the tent. i kind of think that my friend took it or something because what else could of happened to it? i go to her cabin with all my clothes and now when i come back theyre all missing?..i asked her about my jeans and im like did you take them on accident or something and shes like noo i didnt see them when im unpacking. this is REALLY making me mad actually i started crying because also before that i lost one of my brown tank tops. theye all missing all my clothes. also i went swimming with her yesterday and she doesnt have a swimsuit so she had to borrow mine but she never gave it back she just went home with it on so how do i get that back too now? what should i do? when i asked my mom about my tank tops and if she washed them shes like no..maybe your friends arent that trustworthy? i cant go to my friends apartment because her mom is weird and she doesnt like people going in there..i havent even been in there once so there is no way i could actually go look myself. what if my friend is lying to me and has all my clothes? what should i do. because its making me really mad..and also my parents too we dont have the money to go replace all my clothes. and my friend is also suppose to go on vacation with us in like a couple weeks but now im kinda pissed at her but i cant accuse her because i cant prove she took them but where else could they have gone??

hmmmm. well take a week to observe your friend. see if she ends up wearing them somewhere with you by accident. also are you and your friend the same clothing size? so if she is taking them, would she be able to wear them? well if you see her wearing them then you have the right to get mad at her and acuse her of stealing your stuff. but if you never see her wearing them, maybe you could call her house and ask her mom if she has seen them? you could tell her that you think your friend borrowed them and you need them back to wear that night. and if that doesn't work, then i would just talk to your friend about it. tell her that you know she took them and you would like to know why. maybe you could suggest taking her on a shopping trip to help her find some cute clothes for herself.

Hello. I'm supposed to be going to get my eyebrow pierced soon and a tattoo on my shoulder. I was wondering if anyone on here has their eyebrow pierced, but also has glasses. I have glasses and I'm thinking it'll look horrible if I get my eyebrow pierced. I just thought of this cuz I'm really weird. Ok,I'm 13(gal)and i babysit 2 boys 3 times a week for about 4 hrs. There 1-1/2 & 6 yrs. old the 6 yr.old will NOT listen, i tell him not to do something and he still does it. Every time i have a problem i tell the dad when he gets home,but he never does anything.I have been babysitting for around 3 years and I've never run into this problem before. I'm thinking about starting a discipline plan.If he acts up i will tell him to go to his room,if he doesn't do that I'll tell him were not going outside that day etc.(i say what i mean and mean what i say).Then if it still doesn't work after a few days I'll tell his mom i cant babysit him anymore.I just cant handle him.I just need to know if other babysitters like me think this sounds good. thanks.
i go through the same problem EVERY time i babysit. i have to babysit two girls 2 & 4 and they just CANNOT share with each other and they fight a lot. but what you need to do is not neccesarily yell at them, because that can upset them, you just need to be stern. like look at them with a VERY serious face and like point your finger and say like "i'm serious right now, i need you to STOP ______ (whatever he is doing wrong)" it should work. if is doesn't then when the dad comes home you should ask him how he wants you to handle the situation. if the dad refuses to help then you should try talking to their mom and maybe she could help. you could even try talking to your parents and see what they think you should do.

ugh everytime i want to keep my away message on or something, i cant because then my computer automatically goes on sleep after about 10 minutes. i know you can adjust the time on the screen saver, but i tried that and it doesnt make a difference. some people leave their away message on for like, a weeke and idk how their computer stay awake that long. how can i fix it? thanks

okay follow these instructions...
1)on your computer's desktop right click and go to properties
2)click on the screensaver tab at the top
3)under 'moniter power' click power.
4)then under 'settings for home/office desk power scheme' use the drop down box and choose the option "never"

well check right at the beginning of your font list and right at the end because sometimes computers don't put new fonts into alphebetacal (sp?) order.

well you don't want to just tell her flat out, because that might shock her and then she might try to avoid you. i would slowly start flirting with her. since you are friends, it will be easy for you to call her and hang out with her. maybe invite her to go to a movie with you, but don't make it a romantic movie, try making it scary so maybe you can hold her hand :] but just start flirting with her, and after a while when you think it is a good time, just ask her to the movies and say as a date. there really is no wrong or right way to do this. just whatever you do don't just go right up to her and tell her that you love her.

YES!! i love DDR! i do workout mode on DDR almost everynight. i set the workout mode for 500 calories and i'm on standard mode and it takes me about an hour. it is a fun way to exercise :]
Which part of America would you reccomend moving to?
well it really depends on what you are into. do you like beaches? try florida or california. do you like the cold? do you like shopping? go for new york. it just really depends on what you like. you should do your research before you move somewhere to see if you will like it there and if you could get a job easily there. well since i live in PA i would personally recommend it, since it has nice weather (hot in summer and cold in winter), and it is close to NJ for the beaches and it has the poconos for the snow :] but really it depends on what you like.
would it be ok to wear flats with shorts?
like ballet flats? then i would say not with soffee shorts, but yes with dressier shorts or a skirt. for soffee shorts i would wear flip flops or flat sandals. hope i've helped =D

i've always been told that black coffee (nothing added to it) has 0 calories. but when you add milk, cream, and sugar you are adding lots of calories to it.
i have been having alot of trouble finding someone to get me to babysit latly.. my neighbors have asked me once and my other neighbors havent even looked at me.. i think they know i can babysit, but what should i do to get the attention of my neighbors so i can babysit their kids?
do you just want to get the attention of your other neighbors or anybody in your neighborhood who is interested? well if you want a lot of babysitting jobs, then try putting up flyers. if you just want to get the attention of your one neighbor try showing them that they can trust you with their kids and that their kids like you. when you see their kids outside you can say hi to them and maybe play a game with them (if they are young like 4 or 5). or if your talking to your neighbors, you can just drop a hint that you are looking for more babysitting jobs. you can try saying something like..."I'm trying to babysit more this summer so that i can earn money for _____ [insert reason here]". it also depends on your age...how old are you? most people try to get someone between the ages of 13-15. if you are 12 or younger then they might be hesitating about your age.
