ugh everytime i want to keep my away message on or something, i cant because then my computer automatically goes on sleep after about 10 minutes. i know you can adjust the time on the screen saver, but i tried that and it doesnt make a difference. some people leave their away message on for like, a weeke and idk how their computer stay awake that long. how can i fix it? thanks

ps; ooh yeah and i have a windows xp

okay follow these instructions...

1)on your computer's desktop right click and go to properties
2)click on the screensaver tab at the top
3)under 'moniter power' click power.
4)then under 'settings for home/office desk power scheme' use the drop down box and choose the option "never"

It depends on the Instant Messenger Program you're using, Most of the time, you can try using the preferences menu or account menu or something similar to set your away time or idle time.
