Condoms are 98% effective, and can break if you do not use them correctly.

There's no size you "should" be wearing; your boobs will grow when they're ready. When I was 13, I was already in a B cup, 14, B cup, and 15, a B cup. So really, it all depends on your body type and when your body starts to develop. No worries!

Q: well i went over my boyfriends house last night, lets call him mark. we were just hanging out. it seemed like we were only friends. he wanted to like makeout and do stuff, but it just didnt feel right. i mean i like him and all but i dont know. anyways well since we werent doing anything boyfriend/girlfreind like, he decides to mess around with his ipod, go on myspace, and talk on the phone at the same time. i was just like sitting there on his bedd just listening to him. he didnt even say anything to be for a straight 30 minutes. well anywayss i used some excuse to why we werent doing anything girlfriend/boyfriend like. the reason i did that is because i didint want to break up with him, cause like i said i still do like him. when it was time for me to leave he kissed me and said okay bye baby i love you, but dont be like dead the next time you come over here. so he calls me that night and i was like dont tell mariah that. [ mariah is the girl i used for an excuse that was making me dead ]. he was like okay i wont if you give me head. it seems like he only wants me for the sexual stuff. cause when i wasnt doing taht he was doing all the other things and was like dont be dead again. what do you guys think?

I'm a little confused on what your direct question is, but I'll tell you what I think:
-"Mark" is quite the dumbass
-break up with him
Sorry, I don't mean to be a bitch about this, but I think I would say it's time to let go of him. It sounds to me like you're just not comfortable with the moves he's trying to make, and it also sounds like that's all he wants you for. I would move on, because someone like that is just not worth doing anything with in a relationship. And my main advice: don't give in to him AT ALL just because you think he'll love you more, because you think you love him or to make the relationship better, because it won't work. He was cleary implying sex, and if that's all a guy wanted from me, he could kiss his sorry ass goodbye. So, that's just my opinion, and please, don't take this as offensive; I don't mean to be rude to you or to Mark, but, I'm just telling you to use your intuition, and to use it wisely.
Good Luck!

Q: Does anyone know where I can get a good hair straightener that works really good on fairly thick hair. My price range is 50$ and below. -

CVS is a good place to start. You can pretty much get good straightners anywhere you look, but I shop at CVS. I refuse to buy anything but Conair, so the brand is your choice, but I use the Conair straighter;;it's black, has 25 heat settings, and heats up in 60 seconds. I'm sorry for not knowing the direct name for it, but it's pretty easy to find and works great on mainly any hair type. (Even though I have light and wavy hair naturally, my friend bought this and she has thick and VERY curly hair, so trust me, it works.)
Enjoy and good luck!
P.S. This costs about $25.00

Q: 15/f
My parents and I just don't get along anymore. My parents think that I'm a completely shallow, bitchy whore, and have no problem telling me this. I try to be nice to them, I do, but they'll start me off by giving me evil looks or using a tone with me before I can even say hello! They put all the blame on me, however, we're both equally guilty. But I just want to get along with them like I used to. How do you suggest I do this? Thanks in advanced.

Oh god. I know how you feel. I went through this phase with my parents during the summer. I think you should start off my showing them you are more responsible. And if that doesn't really get you anywhere, try sitting down and talking with them, and just be straight-forawrd with telling them how you feel. If they don't give you a chance to do or say anything without them being top-notch and uptight, just keep your cool, (stay calm) and just act like you normally would. (And that doesn't mean being "bitchy")Maybe if you try talking to them, they'll open up to you and they'll let you know what's up without any yelling, screaming, or arguing.
Good Luck!

Taking a break doesn't mean he wants to break up with you. It just basically means that he needs some space to himself. He may be getting bored in the relationship, or he is just confused on how the relationship is going. While you guys are "apart", don't bother him and try pumping him with questions, or chances are, he probably will end the relationship. So, really, just let him do his thing, and see how it goes.
Good Luck!

The answer to your question would be to stay away. If your friend is barely talking to you now (for whatever reason) and you don't want to lose your best friend, I wouldn't do anything. Her ex is either a player or he is just desperate to cover up his feelings of missing your friend. Either way, I wouldn't do anything with him. It's really not a good idea.

Q: Well This might sound stupid but so what
I broke up with my bf over myspace.
dumbest thing i've ever done.
I'm usually the one getting broken up with and i felt really bad and it got even worse cause i thought about it for 2 weeks which was bad and made be feel so horrible that i didnt even want to hear his voice so i decided not to do it on the phone.
Its really stupid but then he started telling everyone about it and how stupid it was and i had people asking me about it and it really annoyed me.
then he tried to start stuff with me and hes starting to be a real big jerk.
I just need advice
help.

Okay, I'll admit it too-breaking up with your boyfriend over myspace is not a good idea-it's just dumb. But I'm not criticizing your decision, because I know how hard breaking a relationship off face-to-face can be.(Although doing it personally is more sincere.) Yes, guys can be total jerks, I would know, because a guy I knew a few months ago did almost the exact same thing to me, although he said I slept with him and I didn't. Anyways, the thing I would try to do first is I would try to confront him, when there's a chance you won't be interrupted by anyone or anything. If and when people consult you about the situation, all I would do is simply say, 'Yes, I admit to breaking up with him over myspace. It wasn't the smartest thing to do, and I regret it. But it's over between us and really, there's no point in talking about how we broke up.' (That's definitely what I would say) If you can't talk to him personally, try calling him, and if he doesn't answer or take your call, leave him a voice mail explaining that you don't appreciate how he's acting, and just say pretty much what you would say to anyone else. (We broke up __days/weeks/months ago and I regret doing what I did and how I did it, but if you ever did that to me, I wouldn't go behind your back and start spreading things that weren't true, etc.)
Good Luck!

Q: okay so last month i had sex and i missed my period then this month i got my period but it was light pink and not as heavy as it normally is. could i be pregante? also i took a pregancy test after i missed my period last month but it came out negative.

I don't think it's very possible that you're pregnant. Although you had sex and missed your period last month, you got the beginning of this month's. Even though it was light pink, I don't think that has anything to do with the fact that you may be pregnant, especially because your test came out negative. So, really, my advice is that you are not pregnant. But if you're still unsure, consult a doctor or a trusted adult.

Q: Im kinda popular I guess.
Most boys are mean to me in school and then out of school all they wanna do is hookup with me.
Its weird, but they dont LIKE LIKE me.
I mean , no guys really like me for who i am , they just wanna hookup with me for some reason.
And I dont get it , im not even that pretty and im not that skinny.
Ive never had a boyfriend and I want a guy to actually like me.
Whats the deal here?
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Okay, so you're popular. That kind of solves part of your problem right there. Most guys that are jocks and preps or whatever group the "popular" guys are in, all they wanna do is hook-up with the "popular" girls. There is really nothing you can do about the situation, mainly, because you just need to wait for the right guy to come along. And that's no joke. I know it sounds cheesy, but it is the absolute truth. I would just wait for the guy that loves you for you, someone you click with, and someone who doesn't really care what people label you as. I know this guy sounds impossible to find, but trust me, he's out there. The best advice I can give is not to give in to those guys, and just do your best to focus on school, friends, and family for right now.

Q: I'm a teenage g i r l. There's a guy who I want to hook up with, and we planned it for next month. I want to do it really badly, as I'm not a christian so I can do whatever I want sexually. But the thing is: I just can't decide if the pleasure is worth the guilt I'll suffer from- if there IS going to be any guilt. I just don't know how guilty I'd feel afterwards. Especially IF and WHEN i happen to meet someone worth dating or marrying.
All advice will be appreciated.

If you ask my, whether you're Christian or not, I personally think that you should wait for sex until marriage. Now, if you're as sexually mature as you say you are, and you think you are both ready and willing, go for it. But that doesn't mean I am encouraging sex in any way. Also, emotionally, you need to be ready; For example:
-guilt
-hurt
-loneliness
And also, physical consequences, like:
-preganancy
-STD's
So, really, consider your decision before you act on it.

Q: considered a slut if she has sex on the first date?

In my opinion, I would never call her a slut, but I would make her out to be a little easy for guys. I think it's okay to kiss and maybe make-out on the first date, but having sex is just out of the question.

Q: Well, my best friend's mom just died today.

Comforting a grieving person entails offering support and allowing the person to go through whatever he or she is feeling.
STEP 1: Allow the person to talk about his grief and express his feelings. Listen without offering advice or interrupting.
STEP 2: Be patient with the grieving person's changeable moods. It's normal for someone who is grieving to alternate between anger, sadness, numbness and acceptance.
STEP 3: Give the person as much time as he needs to grieve. Telling him to 'get over it' or 'let it go' won't help him grieve any faster.
STEP 4: Ask the bereaved what you can do to help. Try not to get frustrated if he doesn't know what he needs.
STEP 5: Offer suggestions of what you could do to help. For example, does the grieving person need more space? Does he want you to be around more? Are there tasks or errands he needs done?
STEP 6: Show affection such as hugs or handholding if the bereaved seems receptive. If he seems uninterested in affection, try not to get irritated - this will pass with time.
STEP 7: Encourage the grieving person to join a grief support group. He can call his doctor for a referral or look in the community service section of the yellow pages for grief support services.
STEP 8: Urge the grieving person to get professional help if he's so depressed that he's unable to function day to day. Assist him in setting up an appointment with a doctor to discuss counseling or possible medication.
Tips & Warnings
There is no 'correct' amount of time to mourn a loss. The grieving period varies with the individual.
Be sensitive to significant dates such as birthdays, holidays and the anniversary of the death or loss; the grieving person may find these especially difficult times.

Q: Hey guys I'm a 14/f,
So Im trying to decide whether I should date this guy. I have a crush on him and he likes me but he also dated my best friend. But the two major things that I'm having doubts about is that
1. my parents are really strict and its better just not to tell them that I'm dating someone. So I would have to sneak or lie.
2. lots of people dont like this guy and they say he is like an asshole. But the thing is that I think the only reason he does this is because he is insecure about himself and he is nice to me and my friends.
So should I date him? thnx so much!

I think you should decide on what you want, and whether or not you want to go out with him. But, since you are a minor and all, considering, you may want to follow your parents' rules, and basing on the comments of your friends...well, that's your call. (Are they saying that because they're jealous, or because it's true?) Follow your heart;; and if I were you, I would give it your best shot. (:

Q: ok, so, this has been a big problem for me lately. i'm 5'2. i'm pretty chubby and i'm about to get the ab lounger or whatever soon... but i want to get taller. i go to the weightroom at school to lift some weights but my friends tell me to stop because i'm already short and so i did stop and i just run on the treadmill instead.
if i do get the ab lounger, would i still be able to get taller? and how can i get taller?
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

The only way to actually get taller, is by growing! The ab lounge may indeed tone up your abs and slim them down a bit, and working out is a great way to stay healthy and in shape. But, if I'm understanding your question correctly, you can only get taller by growing taller.

Heyyyy, I'm jess. I love to help other people, no matter what. I've been through enough bs to know when to just stop and walk away. I don't judge; feel free to ask me anything. I have quite the temper. But, what makes me a good advice-giver is that for the most part, I'm genuinely empathetic and willing to help.
(:
I've had a lot of experiences with piercings, bullying, family problems, and even sexual issues (no std's)- but with the emotional part of it. I love music, so I give good, basic advice about that, too. Also, I deal with severe anxiety and depression, and have been in treatment numerous times. On top of that, I have OCD (Obsessive Complulsive Disorder), and because I've been around people addicted to drugs, or cutting, I can help! Just give me the chance.
