what does it mean when you guys on here in your profiles say "i don't sugarcoat answers" ?

it means they don't mess around with a bunch of stuff to "give you what you want to here" or "lie to agree with you/make you feel better"
example:
"i'm 4'11, 200 lbs and my doctor said i'll have a heart attack by 20 if i don't lose some weight. should i lose weight?"
sugarcoated answer: hmm maybe you could try to shape up a little for your health. you seem ok though, there are a lot of big-boned people out there.
not sugarcoated: yeah you should really go to a gym...you are really overweight and unhealthy. listen to your doctor and lose at least 50 pounds.

I don't personally wear abercrombie or hollister, because i know longer like it. mostly because, loser people pushed me away from it. they told me that i was being a follower, and that i should get my own taste in fashion. well, that was my taste in fashion. i actually liked it. i wasn't just following the crowd. and now, that i dont shop there. im like lost, i never know where to go. and thats not fair, that they always bugged me about it. and i even see like, on here, where people say that if you buy that stuff, then you dont know what fashion is, and your not grown up because you cant get your own opinion on things. well isnt that kinda being judgemental? i mean, not everyone is just following the crowd. i dont understand why some people make such a big deal out of it. i mean, why cant people just wear whatver they want? its just clothing? why dont those people just care about themselves? and worry whats going on with them?

i honestly, dont get that. so if your one of those people who told people that people are followers who wear abercrombie, or whatver. just someone please explain this to me.

I agree with you. I too have most of the sides of A&F and those stores. there was a time when i thought oh that stuff is skanky and overpriced blah blah i have my own taste and i'm only buying things from hot topic. it was "me & my taste" at the time. then i realized that there are a lot of ways to personalize these over produced clothes that everyone has. it's not being a follower... it's your choice to wearing what you like. I guess i would call someone that ONLY wore stuff with A&F LOGOS all the time a follower... just because it would just look stupid but other than that, whatever. it's popular and people that don't like it are probably people that can't afford it anyway. that's just how i see it.
as for not being grown up because you buy fashions.. that did get me a little ticked off because i know a lotttt of adult women that buy fashions for their age group and they are very grown up. my mom's friend is around 35 with 3 kids, one that is autistic (meaning if she wasn't "grown up" already, she definatly is now) and she buys fashionable stuff... if she were my mom, i'd let her pick my wardrobe.
anyway, that's just what i think of all this. maybe i'm missing something and i didn't quite catch the idea but i'm pretty sure this is what you're looking for.

just turned 13/f. ok i live with my dad and its very hard to talk about girl stuff
plus i can't go to ANYONE else. well i really want a push up bra. not just for the effect, but also because right now the bra i'm using right now my nipple points out and its disgusting because you can see it throught my shirt.i cant go get one because there is NO ONE tht can take me. what do i do to cover it up, and i havn't started my period yet either.

cheap selfish people and they wont buy

family whatsoever because my moms a lawyer and
my dad is the vice president of a bank. and how
selfish can they be to not even provide necessity
item to their daughter. im 13 i just dont think i
should be going through this. its ridiculous!

maybe they are trying to teach you a lesson that you DON'T need to buy clothes from a&f and hollister. those are a treat, not a privilege. maybe if they see that you've MATURED and don't mind clothes from other places, they'll buy you new clothes. you're not deprieved. sure, they may be cheap and you might be sweating to death but if you don't get your act together and stop acting like you NEED new expensive clothes, not only are you not getting anything from your parents, but from everyone else. chill out, it is not the end of the world. i was worse off than you when i was 13 and i turned out just fine.

Just out of curiousity, what do you prefer better, Yahoo Answers or Advicenators and why?

advicenators, by far. I mean yahoo is good for some types of questions that no one on here would know anything about but it's so fast and some things are so stupid... they do't filter out dumb questions. also, there's like 328490238 people on there... i like the sense of community on here, where people actually TRY to give decent answers...most of the time.

ok well i go to walmart and there are like no jeans that fit me right. i mean they are either to short or to tight and i mean i cant find any jeans that fit me. i like then kinda lose and really flarey at the bottom. and they have to be long. im 5'3 and i wear a size 8 in womens. does anyone know here to look?

I think your problem is that you are shopping in womens...they don't have a lot of "flare" stuff in that section. try the junior's... you'll probably be a 7 or 9 or maybe a 5 because it varies by cut. honestly, i think walmart jeans are a rip-off. they're like $20 and you can get american eagle jeans for $20-$25 on sale and they are really nice.... and flare! you could also try hollister (sometimes they have sales)

At what age do teenagers usually get past basic levels of thought and begin thinking more intellectually?What I mean is...when do they start to form their own opinions,have some idea of what they want out of life,and just generally gain a more adult outlook?

I would have to say sometime around after college but there are exceptions. Some are "thinkers" and constantly try to figure out what their opinion is from the time they hit 9th grade. Then there are the people in their mid-30s that still need to get a clue. Just because they are parents or college grads doesn't mean really know everything. I could go on and on about this but I think everyone else covered most of what I was going to say.

cheerleaders, dancers, football and lacross players. usually, it's just people that everyone knows for being fun (and dramatic) and having/going to crazy parties.

so apparently $50 Hollister jeans cant hold up, because now right on corner of my back pocket, a hole which started and used to be small has now stretched to literally the size of a quarter or bigger.

ive been puttin duct tape on the inside to cover it when i go to school & work.. but it looks kinda retarded.

wut can i use to cover it?
someone said patches.. but unless im stupid that would be like a patch over the outside right? which would look pretty dumb on my butt.

I don't remember if hollister does this but AE i've heard usualy lets you get some kind or compensation/exchange but I'm not sure.
There's a place that i read about where they sew up your jeans for like $7 an inch so if you only need one inch, that's about the price of a patch anyway. that's basically your only alternatives besides sewing denim material to the inside so it shows on the outside and it's not an akward color.

you could get a chain or dogtag made for him or one with 2 pieces for the 2 of you, make him a scrapbook or coupon book, something he likes... say he likes movies- you could get him 2 dvds, popcorn, candy, a blanket and a drink in a basket of fun.

me and my bestie are having a b-day party at a pool, and the theme is pretty n' pink. We are giving out party bags, and EVERYTHING in them has to be pink.
we wil have different party bags for guys and girls.

you might want to rethink the whole giving the guys pink things but it that's what you really want, you could get the guys this stuff in pink:
beach or water ball (like a squishy one)
a pink tshirt (if they like that stuff)
pink beads (some are immature & like playing with them)
